For those who have been wondering about me: yes, I'm still here in Va., but, my sister have promised to get me back to Philly around Thanksgivng. Please keep your fingers crossed.

And, as you may have noitced, she have come through with the promised tablet. Sadly, the mouse and earphones that she had sent with it will not work, so I'm waiting for her to send me ones that will work with it. Keep your fingers crossed on that as well.

Anyway, thanks to the tablet, I am caught up with all my emails, as well as all of the art that the folks I am subscribed to here have uploaded. Sadly, I am way behind on the youtube videos that the folks I am subscribed to there have uploaded since mid-Sept. but I can't do anything about that until I get the new earphones.

Lastly, when I finally get back home, I will have 21 art pieces (commissions) to upload both here and at  DoeMare_Productions, along with several art pages that have been drawn by  tony_the_tiger. I'm sure that you guys'll like them when you all finally see them. Just do not expect to see them all at the same time. I'm going to take my time uploading them, since some of them include my brother,  mistypine01's character, Jessica Thumper, and his FA page get first dibs on uploading art featuring any of his characters that had been bought by me.

this upcoming Tuesday I'll be going down to Va. to visit my mom. I'm going to be there for about a month, and since she does not have access to the net, I won't be able to keep up with things on FA during that time, especially as I have several commission orders pending which I'm waiting to receive. I plan on contacting those folks later today to fine out what is the present status on those commissions, as I may have to ask them to put them on hold, until I have returned from Va., as I won't be able to see the art if any of them have at least drawn an wip of the piece during that time.

My sister, who is presently with her and plans to return to Philly a day or two after my arrival, did tell me that she plan to leave me with a tablet to use while I'm done there, but, I'm not too sure about that, so, if you do not see anything from me for the next month, you'll know why.

trying to get into FA via firefox? I'm asking cause I had to use microsoft edge to get into my pages?

My brother is not having any trouble using either his tablet or mobile phone. But, when either of us try to use the computer at the present time (after 11 pm Eastern time) it won't go past the login. Both of us are thinking that either firefox is being its usual assy self or there is a problem with reCAPTCHA.

Anyone have any ideas on what might be going on?

And if amyone else been having a similar problem today/tonight getting in?

Update: Well, I'd just found out the REAL reason for reCAPTCHA not working on Firefox. Google is responsible. I'd looked at a reddit thread talking about the problem, as well as looked at Downdetector which shows that this is affecting a lot of sites and have used a demo test to see if reCAPTCHA is working properly, and it confirms to me that the problem is with reCAPTCHA, not Firefox or FA, especially as I am still not having a problem using it on Edge, which is what I'm using right now.

Some folks are thinking that Google is doing this so that folks will use their chrome feature. If so, bad form, as folks are starting to call them out as only sites that uses ReCAPTCHA is being affected, rather than Firefox overall. Hopefully Firefox will create a patch to fix this, while folks will give Google a necessary spanking because of the mess they'd created trying to get folks to leave Firefox and use their browser instead.

While I do have issues with Firefox, I'm not eager to use Edge. Or Chrome for that matter, especially if I'm being forced to use it. Bad move, old sport!!!

Update 2: reCAPTCHA is working again. I'm guessing that it was fixed at some point today. So, with that, no more comments. Thank you.

...as the external hard drive seemed to have borked again. I don't know why it occurred this time, since I was using it to save some scans that I'd made this afternoon while on my brother's side of the computer. Anyway, after cleaning things up on my side and then turning on irfanview, I'd turned on the external drive, and it claimed that the C:\ does not exist, and claiming that it had been corrupted. I'd told my friend who gave me and my brother the external drive what have happened and he said he'll see what he can do. I'd called another friend, and he suggested I use one of the free recovery programs to fix it. Well, in between the two calls, I'd downloaded a free program call Best Hard Drive Recovery Software and then used it's stellar data recovery professional - demo program, as well as speak with a person online. Well, the program showed me that the files were still there in the drive, but, when the person told me that I could be able to recover the files, I'd asked if they had a free version to do that. Sadly, they don't. There's only have a paid version. Well, since I'd unemployed, I can't buy it. And even if I could, it costs almost $90 for that version, for one year of use, so, I could forget that option. They also told me that they don't have software that can fix the hard drive. After sighing, I'd thanked the person and ended the conversation.

I'd then called my second friend back, and told him what had just happened, including telling him that the files were still there, I just can't get access to them at the moment, and what the price would've been if I'd bought that recovery program. He told me that he'd sent me an email with what he thought could fix the problem. Well, the idea was to use the checkdisk to recover the files. Well, I'd tried to use it, but, if wouldn't connect with the drive. Seems to be a disconnect between it and the usb port. That may be the real problem, as the usb drive, during the last few days have been saying that it can not read the drive, or at least claims it can't, everytime a program is turned off or a device is put into a second external device. (We have two different devices that uses the usb port.) Anyway, when the checkdisk idea didn't work, he suggested using another program called minitool partition wizard free. Well, it also shows that the files are still in the external hard drive, but, it also seems to have found other files that supposedly have disappeared. But, I get the feeling it might be either creating duplicate files or finding files that might indeed have disappeared but were hidden inside the drive? Presently it's still going through the drive, presently at 32%.

My second friend have told me, after I'd told him that I have seen the e:\ drive now claiming that the parameters are incorrect, that the problem might be with the computer's usb port, the one in the back. Anyone have an idea what might be going on? Is the problem with the Manhattan external hard drive, or with the usb part that it is connected to?

Please let me know, as it is driving me nuts!!! Also, Scott and I can't upload anything here that need to be scanned first. So, no art either here, Germania Archives, Mistypine01 or DoeMare Productions, until this gets corrected. AAARRGGGHHHH!!!!!

Addenum: As the minitool partition wizard continue to go through the drive, now at 84%, it seems to have stopped going through the files, which would make sense as the drive isn't even close to being 50% full. Well, I'd took a look at a few of the recovered files, before looking at the folders that were in my half of the hard drive and I'd began to notice that a few of them looked familiar. I'd then looked at one picture to see who the artist was. Then I'd looked into his folder and discovered that the pictures in that particular recovered folder were actually duplicates. I'm starting to think that a lot of, if not most, of the recovered files actually contain duplicates or even a few triplicates, of files that me and my brother have been saving on the hard drive. Which makes it even more frustrating, because there are a lot of recovered folders loaded with png, gifs and jpegs that just say either recovered _gif, _png or _jpeg_file. followed by a number, with the file's actual name not showing anywhere. GGGGRRR!!!!

Addenum 2: I got the files back!!!! Yippeee!!! The minitool was able to fix it. I just hope the external hard drive won't claim that there's a problem with it in the future.

Ok, I'd mentioned in a P.S. in the recently uploaded Save the Tigresses story that my apartment lost both phone and internet access. It happened on Sunday sometime between 1:30 and 2 am, while I was watching a video on youtube on the computer and my brother  mistypine01 was playing a session of Fortnite via the TV/XBox. Suddenly, the video stopped playing less than halfway through it and my brother's session suddenly stopped. We both, at first, thought the router had cut out, so I'd tried to reboot it. But, when the internet didn't light up, I'd picked up the phone to see if the phone might have cut out, and we'd discovered that it did. But, unlike the two previous times, we did not get a warning that there might be a problem with the line (we would hear cracking in the background), so, my brother used his cell phone to inform Version of the problem. The tech on the other end soon discovered that something was wrong and told us that a tech would be sent out on Tuesday. So, the tech arrived before 11 pm today (rather two of them). I'd asked the first one if he was the one coming to my apartment, but he told me that he was sent to take care of a different apartment in the building before telling me that it seems that the box that linked the phones inside the building to verizon was gone. That's right, someone or someones had taken the whole box, thus explaining why the lost of access was so sudden. He then went downstair to the basement to see about reconnecting the phones to verizon service (Which took some time). Anyway, the second tech came to our apartment about a half-hour later to reconnect our service, whereupon he told up that we weren't the only one to lose service as, at the time, 25 boxes had been stolen throughout the city. That's right 25. And, upon hearing that, the three of us all agreed why it happened,: MONEY!!! Someone or someones were out to make some money via the metals that were contained within the wiring. Anyway, we regained access to both the phone and the net. I just hope the creep(s) who have done this gets caught and have the book thrown at them!!!
