Not sick anymore :)
Posted 13 years agoI don't get sick often, but when I do I'm sick for a while. It mostly happens when I'm doing something special, like this time. I was visiting my second cousin
aapur in Bergen. I had been there for less than an hour when I began to get sick. The day after I was rather sick, coughing, feeling dizzy and sleepy and some pains. I though I just had a powerful cold, but recent googling has revealed I probably had the flu. I was a little "gone" my whole Bergen trip, and not in my best mood, but I survived :)
After nearly two weeks I'm finally well again now. May it be a long time before I get sick again.

In the land of rain
Posted 13 years agoI'm in Bergen, staying with
Aapur for some sort of birthday party. And it rains, of course, after all this is Bergen :p

Posted 14 years agoDon't know why, but I've just felt so happy recently. It has come gradually, as I have become more involved in the furry community. I guess the fur fandom completes me, although it sounds a bit cheesy xD
Anyway, a big thank you to
Aapur for getting me out from the lurking shadows and into the community :)

Moving photos to scraps
Posted 14 years agoI have decided to move all the furwalk pictures in my gallery to scraps during the week and keep my gallery for commissioned, and eventually self-made drawings. And probably some pictures of me in my fursuit when I get it, someday.
All new photos will be uploaded to my gallery first and then moved to scraps later.

Posted 14 years agowebcomic about Norway, Sweden and Denmark :D
Posted 14 years agoA Danish woman is making some hillarious comics about nations, based upon stereotypes from the Scandinavian point of view. If you don't get the joke, read the description, it's mostly explained.

The Lion King 3D :D
Posted 14 years agoFinally The Lion King 3D comes to Norway after the Norwegian cinemas foolishly decided not to screen it. Of course they changed their minds after seeing how popular it became in the US. Can hardly wait until Saturday when I'm seeing it with a bunch of other furs, 16 others to be precise.
Only bummer: Norwegian dub only :(
Sometimes I wonder what sort of idiots run the cinemas in Oslo.
But anyway, Simba, on the big screen, in 3D *roar*

Help with writing
Posted 14 years agoI am currently writing a background story for my fursona Leophan. I think I have a great story in mind, but I want it to be good work.
Is there anyone who wants to take a look at the story and give me feedback and tell me what I should rewrite, and who has some knowledge/experience about writing?
The story is far from finished, but I thought it might be best to get some feedback while writing. So, if you want to be my editor I'll send you all I have so far right away, and then more as I write it. Probably in batches of a page or two.

Leophan - The shadows within Preview!
Posted 14 years agoI have begun writing a story about Leophan. You might call it an origin story, because it is supposed to establish Leophan's personality both for me and for everyone else who might be interested.
There are three reasons I now post the intro as a journal.
1. I want to comit myself to finishing the story.
2. I want feedback.
3. I want to make it more likely that only people watching me read this.
So, here it is:
Leophan – The shadows within.
Leophan stood alone. The room was dark but his night vision made it all look clear as day. Somewhere it lurked, the shadows. He turns around abruptly, barely catching sight of something moving in the corner. There, almost hidden, a shadow. No, not a really a shadow, shadows can't move on their own, and they do not have a physical form. Yet, this had. Leophan reached out his paw to touch it. The shadow begins to seep into the wall, getting away from him. Leophan shoots forward like only felines can and reach into the shadow. As his paw touches the shadow a scream fills his head. It gets louder and louder. Now the shadow clings to his paw. The screaming gets louder and an image of a person screaming forms in Leophans mind. He knows who it is, he is certain of it, the face is so familiar, but he can't place it. A burning feeling begins to spread from where the shadow is clinging to his paw, Leophan screams and tries to get it off. He slams his arm into the wall but the shadow just spreads outwards. The pain grows and Leophan starts to panic, the image in his mind keeps getting clearer, but the identity of the person still escapes his mind. The pain grows, Leophan screams again, louder and louder, until it turns into a roar of pain, a howl of agony. And then he woke up.
now that you've read it. What do you think? Is it decent writing? Any gramatical errors? The title is a working title, but I'll stick with it unless I come up with something else while writing. It fits the story as it stands in my head right now.
All sorts of feedback encouraged!

Books you should read
Posted 14 years agoIf you like fantasy books here's a few you shouldn't miss:
The God Eaters by Jesse Hajicek
Set in a fictional world based upon the wild west.
Nightrunner series by Lynn Flewelling
Pretty stanard fantasy setting, but awesome books with possibly the cutest maincharacters ever :)
Nation by Terry Pratchett
Not really a fantasy book, but with some fantasy elements. Great read.
Swordspoint by Ellen Kushner
High fantasy book with a cool setting where assasination has become a form of entertainment and sell swords rise to roles of heroes, but not without danger (of course, or the book would've been boring.)
Counterpoint by Rachel Haimowitz
Sexy and exciting fantasy in a world where elves and humans hate each other, and what happens when an elf is captured by humans. Book two, the last book, Cresendo is due for release very soon.
The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan (and Brandon Sanderson)
The long but great fantasy series that you should have read already if you like fantasy. The final book, book 14 is due for release next year.
American Gods by Neil Gaiman
Possibly the best book I've ever read. A fantastic setting that shows us how gods make due in our modern world. A must read! And so is the rest of Gaimans work.
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet
What happens if anti-christ is raised by the wrong parents? Find out in this hillarious book. Warning: you will laugh out load, do not read in public if you mind laughing in public.
The Last Heral Mage by Mercedes Lackey
Not really that good, but it is an interesting setting and some enjoyable characters. However the author tends to avoid the characters deepest feelings, prefering to show their emotions from another point of view rather than trying to describe them to us and make us know the character properly. also, the story is fragmented and is often absent for long parts while the author enjoys living in the world she created. Enjoyable, but lacks progression.
If you got any recomandations I'm very interested, as soon as I'm done with Scarlet and the white wolf by Kirby Crow.

Snow :s
Posted 14 years agoIy began to snow today, hope it stops soon. Lions are not compatible with snow, nor ice for that sake.
I slept through all the daylight :s
Posted 14 years agoWinter is so dark, I get up at 2:40pm and it's already getting dark
Spotify can be so annoying :s
Posted 14 years agoI'm listening to music in peace as I usually do (though I would probably listen to it in war also) and suddenly it stops playing, stating that there is a problem with my sound card :s
This happens now and then, and a restart of the computer always fix it, but why? Why does spotify or my soundcard suddenly break?
*Looks for technical genious to save the day*

Home from New York :)
Posted 14 years agoI came home from NY yesterday at 08:10. Flying at night isn't all that nice, specially when you loose most of it due to time diffrences (and watching Transformers 3 ,that sucks btw).
Saw Wicked, wich was okay, great music and show but poor story, and Phantom of the Opera wich was awesome!
I only saw one furry at the comic con, but serveral people with ears and tails, and stalls that sold them. None of them had lion :(, but I have oredred from Pawstar :)
I got a lot of attention for my Riku costume on friday, and went without costume on sunday. My original plan was to dress ass Doctor 11, but I'm glad I chose Riku instead since the place was crawling with Doctors. Mostly 11, but also some 10. And one 9.
I have to go back there, but I think a fur con has higher priority for now.
