My goals for 2011:
Obtain a promotion i.e. Salary increase. ^^
Become 85% self-reliant and self-sufficient.
Save money i.e. Own accommodation/new wheels.
Learn a new skill(s).
Meet new people and make new friends.
Travel somewhere.
Work out and establish a consistent exercise routine.
Be a better friend, brother, cousin and member of society.
Stumble upon or into a sustainable mutually beneficial relationship without messing it up.
Prepare for Judgment Day in 2012 or zombie apocalypse. Lol Double Tap, just kidding.

An end to a magical African World Cup.
Posted 15 years agoCongratulations to Spain for winning the 2010 Soccer World Cup here in South Africa. I also would like to congratulate the runners up Netherlands as well as Germany and the subsequent teams that participated. I would like to thank you FIFA, SAFA and the world for making this the most memorable African world cup. A word for Bafana Bafana, don’t give up guys there may be another chance in 2014.

Posted 15 years agoSoccer fever has indeed hit the African continent and more so than ever here in South Africa. For the first time in a very long time I have felt an overwhelming sense of pride in my fellow South Africans and in my country. It’s amazing to think that a sport could unite a nation, bring peace and hope to so many here and abroad.
We as Africans have so much to offer, we are a diverse culture with many ethnic groups and cultures. I know now why some call Africa to be the breadbasket of the world and we are her people are so blessed in every way. I only realised on Friday morning around 4am when I was woken up by the sound of vuvuzelas in my street that soccer had indeed come to South Africa. It’s been a long road, but it was worth it and I wish all the teams competing all the best of luck and I wish and prey that our national squad ‘Bafana Bafana’ can rise to the fore and make us all proud.

Posted 15 years agoLife is funny, just as you think you begin to understand things around you and the people around you, you realise how much you don't know. Through a recent experience I have come to understand why I'm not mated. It’s cruel that someone unexpectedly shows some interest in you and when you reciprocate they run away or just ignore you like nothing ever happened. This is even more apparent when you are a feline.

Posted 15 years agoHeya everyone I am finally a qualified and accredited designer, well on paper anyway. ^^ I just would like to congratulate all the Greenside Design Center 3rd Multimedia, Interior and Graphic Design students of 2009 for graduating.
To my 3rd Year Multimedia Design class thank you so very much for sticking it out for almost three years and some of you four years. Thank you guys for all the good times and the bad, but I wish you all the best for 2010 and with that said just remember that this is merely the beginning. Thus as our lecture Rob Turner always says “Take over the world.” and everything else is 42. Viva la MMD Republic.
On a more serious note guys anyone who took pictures at the graduation ceremony please email me all the high resolution photographs so that I can compose a DVD and give it to all you guys. Please spread the word and email me at cryodesign[at]hotmail.com or if the files are too big we will make a plan to collect the images at DC or at the MMD reunion.

nanukk last week and subsequently the events of yesterday I feel dead inside. Like my life has no meaning anymore and it feels the harder I try the harder I fall. *Weeps*
You know when you dedicate everything to something or to someone and you revolve everything around that special someone and is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice just to continue your sane existence. Well that is why I’ve worked so hard this last year, be it my college studies and holding down part times jobs just so that I can save up money to spoil and be with my other.
I know this is the wrong kind of motivation in life for it has little regard to ones own self worth in life. Unfortunately I’m one of those lions who will always put others first before he puts himself first and in this doggy dog world holistically one cannot accommodate everyone.
I have tried everything in my power to love, support and guide him, but it seems I have failed. Its funny but the one things I cannot get right in life is a sustainable mutually beneficial relationship.
Yet again I feel second best to someone else I am questioning what I did do wrong or what did I not do. I don’t have a fancy car, I’m not the most attractive guy or the funniest and I’m not the tallest. However I have heart, determination, unflinching loyalty and I’m over ally caring.
All I want is to feel loved, not loved on a superficial basis based on the fact that I’m the only one available and when someone comes around that is prophetically better I’m dumped like an old pair of shoes. Yes I’m not perfect no one is, but it just seems that lately LeoRa on many levels is misunderstood, overlooked and taken for granted be it in college work, on the art communities and in certain instances within my relationships.
Other than that I’m really confused and sad at the moment so please don’t take my pessimistic low self esteem journal to heart. I still care about everyone as well as my friend nanukk, I just need to know where I went wrong so that I can learn from my mistakes and move on in life.
A special thanks to all those who took the time over the last week to console and support me and I apologize for any inconvenience caused by all this. *Hugs you all.*

Posted 16 years agoGot a phone call this morning from my college saying that I had failed my mid year theory component for 3rd Year Multimedia Design. Therefore I have to repeat 3rd year all over again. F*** I don't know why I bother anymore.

Posted 16 years agoI have a dream… ok well I had a dream a few nights ago and I must admit it was very disconcerting. I’m not one to grope or dwell on past issues but last night I realized all through my life I’ve been second best to someone else.
Yes of course I agree that there will always be someone that knows more than you or someone who is better than you in some way at something.
In my dream I saw myself as a child been shafted from a game of tag, excluded from many other activities along the way as well as been disregarded in a national science competition mainly because of the color of my skin. “No racial undertone in that last comment.”
But the worse I recall, to date is when someone I care about, someone I still think very highly of chose someone else over me on the basis of distance. Yes I have been second best many a time with regards to relationships and boy hood crushes, but I guess that is why they call it a crush.
You begin to question what made that other person choose the other, what makes the other person so much better than yourself. The answer is you don’t know and that is life. Thankfully the human spirit does not allow one to give up so easily and with the idea of hope in mind one realizes it was never meant to be and I am happy with this realization.
I’ve always sensed if something is too good to be true it cannot last or it is a double edged sword. Thankfully this person and I are now still good friends and when I think about it friendship means more to me anyway.
With that said I love my mate nanukk dearly and I’m so happy to find someone that cares so much for me. *Licks*

A lil update. ^^
Posted 16 years agoWell for the last 6 months or so I've been doing Kung Fu Wing Chun, 3 days a week for 2 hours each day and from month to month. I've been asked by my SiFu to grade on Friday the 17th, the thing is I'm not confident to grade yet. *Bows head.* SiFu means master in Cantonese.
I've worked darn hard, but it’s just not a priority in my life right now I actually don't know what a priority is these days. I'm ok with the theory component and the physical component, but I'm just scared of failure.
Anyway it’s just an update and hopefully my next journal entry will allow me to move on and not be burdened by my past mistakes and past happenings that really fucked me around last year. "Excuse the French."

I love my mate nanukk
I've worked darn hard, but it’s just not a priority in my life right now I actually don't know what a priority is these days. I'm ok with the theory component and the physical component, but I'm just scared of failure.
Anyway it’s just an update and hopefully my next journal entry will allow me to move on and not be burdened by my past mistakes and past happenings that really fucked me around last year. "Excuse the French."

Posted 16 years agoOn Saturday night I had my first bath in 8 years. I don’t know why I’m telling you all this, but I think is because I enjoyed it so much and it’s the little things in life that make life worth living. *Smiles*
Well other than Nala my 40 year old VW Beetle breaking down this weekend there is not much to talk about, I’m back at college today and to be honest I cannot believe how fast this year is progressing.
I also would like to apologize to everyone for my absence as of late, had to do a 2 week internship during my vacation at a design related establishment of my choosing. I done a two week internship at an online media company called Virtuosa. I learnt a great deal and I can’t wait to get out into the industry and start working. *Jumps up and down.*
I also don’t have access to the Internet anymore, but I’m working on resolving that issue as soon as possible. On a less glamorous note I must confess lately I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about life, love, my career and my ambitions in life.
Yes I am very grateful for all I have, yet I’m having doubts about where I’m going in life and what I actually want to achieve. I’ve been kind of depressed lately and uncertain of many things, I think I’m just looking for a sign.
I need to try new things find something I’m good at and perfect it, I’m sick of starting things, having good ideas and never having the ability to make those ideas materialize. I need a new focus or challenge in life, I yearn for success and I just want to be the best I can be. *Bows head.*
Other than that all is well and proceeding accordingly, I may upload a few old artworks of mine and I may open up commissions sometime soon it all depends.

Posted 16 years agoWell I'm so excited my sweet and loving mate nanukk is coming down to Jhb for three weeks. *Giggles with joy.* He is spending about a week and a half with me, the first week will he will be staying at my families house and the next half a week I'm taking him up to a romantic hot water springs resort in Warmbaths. *Giggles*
We're going camping and it will be the first time he has ever gone camping. *Yay* I'm also trying to organize a furmeet or two, so please if anyone has any ideas please let me know. I may take him to the zoo, The Lion Park and maybe even Gold Reef City.
I'm not sure where my hun is going to stay for the rest of his holiday in Jhb, but I'm sure I can make a plan. hehe
On another positive note tomorrow is kadfoxwolf's birthday, so please if you have a free moment go wish him a happy birthday. I wish him many more, health and happiness with his loving mate ralunim. *Smiles* Sorry I don't have anything for you foxy, but I hope you have a super day.
