Hi everyone! As you are well aware, I have not updated this place in.... years. >.< However, that does not mean that I haven't been getting commissions done for me! Some of the of course can be found in "my favorites" here, but after thinking about it for a while, I'm going to start trying to utilize Furry Network for some things. Naturally, I can be found on there as Leostar. I'm working on uploading some chapters to a story series that I've been having done for me for a while now (its written through chapter 18 already) by an amazing writer that goes by  starvingdragon. You should check out his work!!

Beyond the story, I'm planning to upload art of the characters in the story, as well as other commissions I've had done... most of it very naughty as expected, I'm sure. So be sure to check me out over on FN. I'll still be here regularly too, though.

Well, once again I made it to Anthrocon over in Pittsburgh this year and I really had a great time with some really awesome people! I didn't spend as much money as I have in past years, so I suppose that's a good thing. XD It always goes so fast, too. But oh well, lots of good memories to hang on to!

In other news, I'm not dead. XP I'm thinking about reviving my gallery here and working over time to update it with the many commissions I've had done since my last submission. ^_^

Well this really sucks. I seem to have come down with something nasty today. Went to sleep feeling perfectly fine last night and woke up this morning feeling nauseated.... which soon led to diarrhea and vomiting. >.< Not a pretty sight.... I've spent all day laying in bed, cold then hot then cold then hot and achy. And of course feverish too. What a lovely way to spend my day off... and if it doesn't improve, I may have to call off sick Monday as well which will really mess things up for me at work. Its been rough even looking at the computer screen for any length of time. Anyways, just a heads up.

Yep, this crazy echidna officially enters his third decade on this planet today. Not doing much special today (since I gotta work as usual), but going out for dinner later for STEAK. Because this echidna craves meat. <3

That's right, in less than a week's time (July 28th), I'll be turning THIRTY. Times sure flies... even faster the older I get. But oh well, it's not all bad. I'm getting a new QUEEN size bed for my birthday from my mom and stepdad (I currently snooze on a twin size that doesn't even have a box spring...), so I'm looking forward to that.

And, I suppose I bought myself a birthday present for myself this week as well... in the form of a new car. I traded in my trusty PT Cruiser for a brand new Hyundai Veloster. The color, you might ask? Sonic Blue. Well, I call it sonic blue, but it's actually called marathon blue. Regardless, it's beautiful. <3 So far I love everything about it. It's totally under warranty for a long long time, the mileage is outstanding, and it's loaded with so many cool features that I've only just begun to figure things out. (I'd post pics here but I see cars are not allowed, according to the AUP)

So now I need to figure out what I should get for the license plate on the car.... Here in Ohio, there can be 7 numbers/letters on the plate. I have some ideas myself that I thought I would put here and see if anyone cares to vote on what they might like best, or suggest your own idea! XD
"BLUE BLR" --because the car is blue and Blue Blur is often a reference to Sonic the Hedgehog XD
"SNCHHOG" --Sonic the Hedgehog. Duh.
"BLU BEAUT" --Because it is.
"ECHIDNA" --Because I am.
"LEOSTAR" --Again, because I am. Not sure I want my furry name out there all the time though...
"ZAKIDNA" --RL name is Zak + Echidna. XP
"RAPTER" --Totally unrelated to my other themes, but it sounds cool when added to the name of the car; Veloster-rapter (Sounds like Velociraptor XP)

Well I made it to and from AC last weekend safely (though my bank account may disagree!), and I'm not going to go into detail about everything that happened for me there, but I did have a really great time this year! I made a point of attending more con activities including a dinner the Thursday before it all 'officially' started, 2's Rant, Uncle Kage's Story Hour, the Masquerade, Fursuit games, and the performance by guest of honor Sardyuon which was really fantastic! And of course, scoped out the Dealer's Den, Artist Alley, and Art Show (where I bid on and won a sweet tiger painting done by Xianjaguar!) and got the entire fursuit parade on video. And along with all the great events, I met a bunch of awesome people this year! So if any of you happen to read this crappy journal of mine, please know it was a pleasure to meet each and every one of you! (Particularly a horse that tolerated my company way more than would be expected! ^^) Sadly there were a number of people I was hoping to see but alas, didn't... so hopefully next time our paths will cross! All in all, AC 2012 was fantastic and I'm really hoping to make it again in 2013... I've got a surprise in the works for next year if all goes according to plan... ^_^ That's all for now, thanks for reading!

First I want to thank everyone that offered their kind words and condolences regarding the loss of our dog, Peanut, last Monday... I haven't been able to bring myself to reply to each of you individually, but I will soon...

Sadly, I have even more bad news to report... Yesterday morning, January 6th, my grandfather passed away in his sleep. For those of you who do not know the long story that goes along with this, let me give the abridged version here. Back in September of 2008,my grandmother passed away suddenly from a heart attack. Less than 3 weeks following that, my grandpa fell and shattered his pelvis. (I was the one to find him laying helpless on the floor) So, after being hospitalized (the could not operate due to his age and health), and being in a nursing facility for a few months, we (the family) opted to bring him home to his his own house and care for him there. (24/7 care, family, nurses, and aides) That was February 2009. Since then, he has had many ups and downs, gradually losing his ability to walk, speak, feed himself, use the bathroom, and even sit up in a chair. All the while though, he knew everything that was going on, who we all were... his mind was always there. Up until the last week, he always, every single time I visited, would raise his left arm to shake my hand. (his right arm was essentially paralyzed) And he always had a twinkle in his eye and a smile that everyone loved. All the way up til his final days.... In the end, he went on his own terms, when he was alone, in peace. And for that, we are all grateful. He turned 91 on November 27th.

Charlie is in a much better place now, free of his body, and I just know he's speaking loud and clear, letting everyone know exactly what's on his mind now where he is, as was always the case for most of his time here on earth. I love you Grandpa Charlie, and never will forget you.

I just got finished helping to bury our dog, Peanut. She was with us for nearly 14 years, so I'm really having a rough time with this. Worst part was watching her decline, starting with kidney failure and arthritis, progressing to the point that she would no longer eat or drink, and was even vomiting blood last night. (She was 'ok' just 3 days ago) Now she's resting comfortably with her favorite blanket and dog-bone pillows in my hosta garden with my winged lion statue to watch over her and protect her. Please keep her in your prayers, everybody, thank you.

I love you and will miss you, Peanut, more than I thought I knew I would... God bless you.

Just like the title says, I'm just wanting to wish everyone a Merry Christmas this year! I hope that it treats you all well and that you get to enjoy the day. Christmas Eve is more special to me because of all the little traditions we do here at home, but Christmas Day is nice too, just not as relaxed, having to run from one house to another, visiting different relatives and all that. I always get so tired at my grandparents house though, since it's like a hundred degrees in there all the time... o.o Anyways, Merry Christmas again! ^_^

I really needed to bump that old journal off my page. ^_^;

Just thought I'd make an update so people know I'm still alive. Stressing over the holidays like everyone else. Worried about my grandfather who's getting weaker and more tired every day... and now we found out that our dog has just a short time left with us too... So much going on, but that's all part of life!

So, I'm still here, getting commissions done more sporadically than I used to, but after spending nearly a grand on car repairs in the last 2 weeks with nearly that much more yet to be done... yeah, money's getting a bit tighter. I do want to ask out there if anyone would be interested in working on a series of images with myself and a friend.... some clean, some naughty.... or if anyone knows of someone out there that might have an interest. I won't do into details here, but there are some characters we'd like to develop; different species and whatnot; but I can't be spending a small fortune on each drawing. X3; So, just throwing that out there... note me if you want more details.

And with Christmas so close, I'll wish everyone a happy holiday season in case I am too lazy to post another journal on the big day. ^_^

So I'm looking to sell some things I've accumulated over these last 10 years of my furry art commissioning blitz, and I was looking for opinions on how I should go about it? Should I use a furry auction site for each piece of art? Or some other way? I already have someone interested in a couple things (I think! XD), but there's roughly 40 or so pieces of art ranging in size from 8.5x11 to 11x17 and even larger, all in color, I'm pretty sure...

Note that most of the things I'm looking to sell are not in my gallery here, since a lot of them are several years old. And also, not all of them are Sonic-related. Some are, some aren't. Something for everyone! (if you like gay furry porn. >.>)
