R.I.P. Slash

slashsabercat has sadly departed from this world, folks. He was one of the players on the greatest furry football team ever assembled, the Predators, among other things. Take this time to remember him, and my thoughts and prayers to go the real-life family and relatives of the person playing the character.Thanksgiving + health update
General | Posted a week agoI hope everybody has a safe and happy Thanksgiving on Thursday. There are so many things I am thankful for, I am not able to count them. I thank the Lord in my prayers every day for my job (as well as its pay and benefits), the family He gave me, and the gifts of music, among other things. But what I am thankful most of all for is the fact God loves us so much, He sent His only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. This is the real story behind both Christmas (the birth of Jesus) culminating in Easter (the day He arose from the grave and conquered death).
Also, I'm doing much better, although my health is not at 100%, so thank you for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. The worst of it is over, but the annoying aftermath (i.e. the drainage) just won't go away. If you've had a cold, you can relate to this; I'm pretty sure that was what I had. It was actually quite depressing having to quarantine all day both days I missed work. However, the rest was needed, and it did help. It was as early as 7:30 p.m. when I was going to bed; that never happens with me!

Feeling ill for a bit
General | Posted 2 weeks agoIt's not fun being sick, but I think it's just a cold or my allergies; this always happens to be when the weather changes, and we're in that time of year. I'll be healthy in time for Thanksgiving, though; the worst of it is over.
American Made (Hulk Hogan's WCW Theme)
General | Posted 2 weeks agoIt was back in July when we lost the biggest name in all of wrestling, Hulk Hogan, but lately I haven't been able to get this song out of my head, so I thought I'd post it here. This was his theme when he first left the WWE (then WWF) for its then-rival, WCW (World Championship Wrestling), but while he was still a hero. Eventually he took the plunge and turned heel, and the whole New World Order (nWo) angle with the evil counterpart to him, "Hollywood" Hogan, began. But whether you loved him or hated him, we can all agree on one thing: his name was absolutely synonymous with wrestling, BROTHER.

Furry Mod in Fire Pro Wrestling World
General | Posted a month agoAlthough I'm not familiar with the game itself, the video game Fire Pro Wrestling World is a game I first discovered not from the game itself, but from custom mods, some of which recreate actual arenas from the past (primarily from the WWE, then WWF, and its main competitor at the time, WCW). This, however, is a furry custom mod, as the best of the best wrestlers from the AGF (Anthro Grappling Federation) go at it for glory.
NOTES: Due to the religious beliefs our family has, there were many reasons my parents did not let me watch pro wrestling (or roller derby for that matter); I only started looking at those things as an adult in my 20s and 30s. However, the difference is that I was already in a hyper-obsessive phase of focusing on roller derby when I created the character Danger Dawg, for example. With the wrestling, I had decided to add pro wrestlers to the G-52s before I started watching vintage wrestling (mainly focusing on Hulk Hogan's greatest moments after he died). As a result, many of my recent stories have been focusing on the wrestling G-52s, but don't worry. The others are still there saving the day.
In any event, here is a singles match from the AGF.

FA Anniversary today
General | Posted 2 months agoIt was 14 years ago today I first joined this website. It is hard to believe it has been that long, and it doesn't help my reputation was ruined from the very first day (or so my mind thought), given the quantity of stuff I have contributed, and the controversies I am guilty of, all of which I am still praying for forgiveness to God even to this day. (I'm also praying that if there is anybody I need to atone with, I can do so, but what if they will never forgive me?) But I did want to say thank you to everybody, and I do mean everybody, who has watched me, commented on my submissions, and even tried to guide me in the right direction, navigating the pitfalls of this fandom and the internet in general. To all of those I have hurt, I am sorry. I am very, very sorry. I only wish there was a way for me to make it right with you, but attempting to leave the website forever wasn't that solution. It only made me come off as a crybaby at times.
And while I am not a wrestling fan (due to my religious beliefs), I have discovered that 2025 marked the 15-year anniversary of when Bret "The Hitman" Hart and HBK (Heartbreak Kid), Shawn Michaels, decided to put their troubles behind them at last, and they buried the hatchet on live television. Just as they did, I want to reconcile with anybody with which it necessary, online and offline, and I pray that we can all be friends again.
To those that have been friendly, I pray that we continue to be friends. Thank you all so much, each and every one of you.

I may have to go monochrome
General | Posted 2 months agoI liked using the colors you can use whenever you submit a text file to FA. But you might have noticed that with the modern version's new way of doing that, you cannot see some colors because it is against a light background. If we had the option to select a dark background in the options menu, I would. But this is certainly not the case.
What do all of you think about this? Do you like the new method of text display, or are you old school and like it better the way it was? In my case, my problem is that I have it set to the classic look whenever I am logged in.

TUGS: Munitions
General | Posted 2 months agoAlthough it only ran one season of 13 episodes, TUGS was done by the same production team that gave us the original episodes of Thomas & Friends (formerly Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends), but with a boating theme. This is one of those episodes.
Beware the scammers
General | Posted 3 months agoHi, I came across your work recently and was impressed by the world and characters you've built; they're absolutely inspiring! I'm a commission artist with a focus on bringing stories to life through comics, and I'd be thrilled to work with you. I already have some ideas on how to visualize your story and am keen to share them with you. If you're interested, I'd be delighted to discuss my process and how we can remain faithful to your vision.
Look forward to hearing from you soon!
If you get a message like this in your notes, the odds are this person is a scammer. Don't fall for the lies; protect your own property!

Happy Birthday, TPIR, and Happy World Record!
General | Posted 3 months agoHappy 53rd birthday to The Price is Right! With the debut of Season 54 on September 22, 2025, according to Wikipedia, the show is set to become the longest-running game show in the whole world, surpassing Chilean television show Sábado Gigante, which aired 53 seasons from 1962 until 2015. (From what I've seen, the Chilean show had all of its audience members wear name tags and there were game show segments, so that does count. However, the USA now will hold the world record.)
Isn't that something? We have the longest-running game show in the world! That is something to celebrate; I really hope the show does something special related to that.
Labor Day
General | Posted 3 months agoI hope everybody's having a fantastic Labor Day!
Second nephew born
General | Posted 4 months agoIt was on Wednesday, July 16, that my second nephew was born; it is such a blessing to be an uncle to two nephews, both of which are just a year and a half apart. (My first nephew was born last year on January 6, so he shares his birthday with Wheel of Fortune!) I pray that I will be a good uncle to them both, and that with God's help, I may train them up in the way they should go, so that when they are old, they will not depart from it.
Speaking of Wheel of Fortune, please enjoy this prize cue from the show, Frisco Disco. This same song was also used as the closing credits music for the short-lived 1978 revival of Jeopardy!, and was written by the creator of both programs himself, Merv Griffin. Who says America doesn't have talent?

Second child coming (nephew)
General | Posted 4 months agoI'm an uncle to one nephew, and my sister-in-law is now in labor delivering her second child. God has blessed our family with two wonderful boys, and I pray hard I am a good example to both of them.
Unrelated here, but I'll show it anyway; once upon a time (but sadly not now), Singapore had its own Wheel of Fortune. Here's what that looks like:
Circa 2002.

I think I'm going to continue the pattern
General | Posted 5 months agoAlthough all my music can be found in my scraps folder, I noticed that by putting it in scraps, it doesn't show up on the front page anymore. (Once upon a time, it did.) However, if I feel the song (especially if it's a hymn) is something I want you all to hear, then I'll put it in my main gallery for a day or two. Afterwards, I'll put it in scraps.
Other songs I'll just continue to put in scraps to start with, but please check them all out. I love making music, possibly even more so than the stories I've written.

All caught up now
General | Posted 7 months agoI don't usually upload multiple music submissions in one day, but since they don't show up on the front page anymore when you put them in scraps, I went ahead and did. Thank you for your patience and understanding; I'm now caught up on all my submissions as far as music is concerned.
The latest one was this, a strings variation of my arrangement of "Doll on a Music Box/Truly Scrumptious" from the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

R.I.P. Wink Martindale (1933-2025)
General | Posted 7 months agoAnother game show legend has died, folks, and this time, it is Wink Martindale. He was 91. The good news that he was a born-again Christian, and so we'll see him again in heaven.
Some of the highlights of his life include recording this spoken-word song, "Deck of Cards."
The biggest highlight of his career (outside of the game show world) was getting to interview Elvis Presley (with whom I share a birthday, January 8). You can watch that here:
His signature game shows include Gambit, seen here...
...and Tic Tac Dough, seen here.

The Absolute Worst Supervillain Ever
General | Posted 8 months agoTeamo Supremo was a favorite cartoon of mine growing up, and one of its featured supervillains, Mr. Vague, gets my vote for being the absolute worst (and dumbest) supervillain that ever existed. Why? You'll have to watch to find out.
