Partial suits and commissions?
Posted 9 years agoI need to post a journal about some of my gaming exploits that I've been up to lately but...
Snarbutt needs to find a partial fursuit maker. (Either that or do it myself, but I'm rather lazy). Anthrocon's theme is the roaring 20's, and it'd be a sin to not have a snarbo suit all ready to go for it! I've got a top hat and a dress suit (tux etc) already, but I want the other stuffs also.
Anyone know any partial suit makers around that can finish one and have it here before July?
Also on a tangent, I've been slow on commissions, anyone know anyone that's open for art commissions? <:

So anyways I've been lazy about posting video from MFF, I will make a journal when I have more stuff to post about it, I'd really love to get a new camera to properly record the panels, because I can never find video of the more recent panels and such, and I really love them!
Sadly I had to record and transfer video from my phone to my laptop, so the quality was not that great and it had to be cut into parts x.x and I missed a lot of funny stuff. Eventually, probably in a week or so I will post it. I'm also going to see Starwars next week with Iruto!
But right now I'm going to get ready and jump into the new league on Path of Exile. I don't know how I am going to do, I haven't practiced racing or training, but I have a general build idea I want to fool around with, and a few other backups in case I need to change builds. Got another 6 hours to prepare and flesh things out though... Hm...
So maybe in a week I'll be back and post those videos, and I might go hunting for a suit maker. Snarby suit needs to happen, I've already got a dress suit and a top hat for AC next year, I just need a cane and the actual fursuit!

Posted 10 years agoSo my Flight was cancelled, but after I went back to the hotel I called them and there is a flight open. Not sure if lying about my brother having a wedding helped, hmm. Anyways, I'm not dead yet, going to be home later in the evening!
Tired, pizza

Iruto though which was nice :3 and did a bit of smash again. Pizza time though, and then I need to wake up early for my flight back home.
Didn't get to hang out with everyone that I had wanted to but I still made the best of things and had a great time! I'll try and post some videos in another journal in a day or two.

Posted 10 years agoNot in the mood for the dance, hitting dealer's den, artist's alley, Smash until it closes around 6, and I'm getting jambalaya from the Park Tavern. End the con with some shots of chocolate chili tequila at the bar, pack and pass out.
Flight is at 7:05 AM (god damn so early ._. ), probably gotta leave before 5 at the hotel to make sure I get the shuttle. Took me an hour last time >..

Snarblebutt is tired. I'll go over more tomorrow but I had a lot of fun today, parade, the play thingie, smash and alkili. Also tequila, mmm tequila!
Tomorrow I don't know what I'm doing, I'll hang out at smash unless someone pokes me probably, then pack it in early and get my stuff ready for my flight back home. And I might be able to post some of the video I took also :D

Posted 10 years agoSo sadly I had to jump out a bit early yesterday, I was really curious about Fursuit Charades (especially the after dark version) but I was worried I wouldn't be able to order pizza if I stayed too long DX. I conked out pretty bad once I got back to my room and ate though, pizza induced comas are lovely~
The MST3K thingie was really funny, Alkali and them showed Dungeons and Dragons 2 and every time there was a torch on screen we'd call it out and he and the other panelists had to take a drink. We could donate to the charity they had set up (I think it was to the k9 unit they had locally) and we could add new rules for when they drink, things like special effects, any time a spell is cast or someone dies XD. Someone had any time two horses were on screen, another had any time a bald person was on screen, and gaudy jewelry was really funny XD. Any time someone in a scene rolls a 1, like when the rogue activates a trap that no one else does XD. Really funny stuff. Alkali had to go out of the room at one point and he had me count how many drinks he had to take and by the time he got back it was like 40 drinks, but they managed. Lots of tequila, I should have asked for some,mm...
Smash was really funny too, and I got a portrait I need to check on today! Acrylic, gonna need it shipped after the con since I flew in, but that's really cool!
I'm not sure what all I'm planning today, I need to get my badge from Donryu, I want to record the fursuit parade, play some smash, maybe get drunk and watch the Whose Lion panel that Alkali is doing later tonight. The panel, Too Much Light Makes the Baby go Blind looks interesting too, 30 plays in 60 minutes, sounds interesting! 4 PM at the grand ballroom.
Whose lion is at 10PM and it goes to midnight, it's in the Rosemont room.
I got my phone if anyone wants to hang out though, otherwise I might just roam about!
Oh! I did get to see Haypanda again and got hugs from her, and I met Azure from f-list, that was cool!

It's been so damn long since I've been to anything like that, used to do that a lot on Second Life back in the day, loved that stuff!
Whose Lion.. I need to figure out where that is but I heard it's in the Rosemont, I'm guessing that's some section of the convention... I will have to ask around.

Ummm... Today, I have no idea what I'm doing. I was a little discouraged seeing Uncle Kage wasn't going to be doing his story hour this time around. I will look at the schedule a little later and figure what I'm doing, worst case I'll probably hang out at Smash.
I'm going to miss the tournament though, I wanna go out drinking again Saturday :D and right after I'm going to see that improv set Alkili's doing.
Short of that maybe hitting the dealers den and seeing the dances might be nice, I think there was a cards group in one of the panels as well which might be fun!
P.S. This Aloft hotel has these wonderful tequila shots at the bar with chocolate and chili in it <3 chocolate with spice is nice!

Posted 10 years agoMFF :D Midwest Furfest, I'm going. Hoping to hang out with some friends, maybe see if there's some other bars and watch Uncle Kage and Alkili's sets again. Maybe 2 this time if he's there. And maybe Smash also, can see.

Other than that I might think about getting into Path of Exile again, new league is half and half, coming out on December 11th, but I'm more interested in what comes next year with Ascendancy. Still need to kill Uber Atziri though, I had two or three sets in Warbands all ready to go to try and take her down but I just was too afraid to do the run myself... The absolute worst claws, with no % life leech, just dreadful. And I was still using Essentia Sanguis, I bought that for 4c! Somehow 45k DPS with dual strike, maybe 50k-ish with power charges up, and blech, 22k Reave. I had two mana flasks on my bar too XD that was funny, but it worked really well with Surgeon's.
Gonna fly this time, anyone going and want to hang out? :D

Posted 10 years agoSnarby been heavily distracted by Path of Exile as of late D:. I'm still here but, things will be slow for some time (recurring theme :D ). Been running a dual claw CI Shadow, using Reave and Dual Strike in the Warbands League. Managed to take down Atziri with crap gears (I'm a ninja) but will need some heavy upgrades for uber atziri >.>...
Also, my brother's visiting from Maine, so I'm probably going to be gone most of next week!

Posted 10 years agoSo today I'm kinda still contemplating what I'm going to do. I'm a little apprehensive of staying the night at the convention center simply because the traffic out of here I imaging is going to be a nightmare.
I'm somewhat curious to see 2 the ranting gryphon with uncle kage but I've seen kage twice this con and got his autograph already :D he's a really funny guy but I'm a little tired from this trip. Not to mention I've kinda been here since Tuesday night, whoopsie on the dates lol.
The only other thing of interest for events is the dance comp. I totally missed floor wars yesterday so maybe that might be nice to see? I couldn't say.
Other than that it might be nice to hang out at the Allegheny at the Westin but I'm not sure if I want to wander around there and find people to hang with, maybe with a group it might be easier but I'm not sure I'm feeling it. Maybe with 10 shots of tequila in me I might change my mind but it depends on what all happens today :D

Posted 10 years agoSo I skipped floor wars to go drinking with Anubis lol, I'm still going to hit uncle Kage and the smash tournament, probably so drunk I will do so bad rofl :D but we shall see. Posted 10 years agoDamn that was a long day XD Had a lot of fun today, got to see uncle kage and kimlihn and get her autograph <3, got to meet and hang out with 
anubislivess and then the mario kart 8 tournament and the improv hehe. (oh also I got drunk off a pitcher of tequila)
I won third technically in mario kart 8, though afterwards the first place guy, the host of the tournament and one other person, we all went off again on new races and I ended up winning lol.
Was pretty fun, 50cc for first round, 100 for next, 150 with frantic mode, then omfg 200cc with frantic mode, 5 rounds. An absolute nightmare. I made it through the new rainbow road without going off the track and made first. The final round was a tossup, could have been anyone's game but I missed a few items, had to do baby land or whatever it was at 200 CC with frantic mode x.x ugh... got second in that race, but I had done poorly the first 3.
The improv was a riot too XD apparently it went on waaaayyy later than 11:30, went on till like 1:30 @_@ Anyways I don't think much else is going on besides the parade early tomorrow, so I might just sleep in, eat big, get some spare food to bring to the room and hit floor wars. Also gotta print off a badge for a friend to get signed by Uncle Kage, might have him sign mine too if I can get him to :D
I might skip the fiction reading but I'm still tempted, I just imagine i'll be real tired.

Kimlinh Tran has a voice acting Q&A at 2-3:30PM at DLCC 407. I'm thinking I can catch the tail end of that, maybe start with dealer's den, head to kage around 1PM (no idea where the allegheny is), and then catch the tail end of Kimlinh's thingie to say hi and maybe get an autograph :D
It looks like Kim only has two other panels, I wish there was an autograph's spot somewhere but I have no idea if she has one, hm... I want to get Kage's autograph for a friend also but I don't know how that works D: I was supposed to get a badge from a friend for him to sign if I could get him to, but I don't know how all that goes about or if there's a printer somewhere in the convention or uuuuugh.

Had a funny improv thingie that my brother and I went to in Maine, and the joke they were running was, "Sex with me is like having sex with _____ " and the audience filled in the blank. I soooo wanted to say porcupine rofl, but my god I was even more afraid of what I'd hear in return XD (#fuckingfurries)
Kimlinh's other stuff are
Saturday 4PM-5:30PM at DLCC307 and Sunday 3-4:30pm DLCC 319-312 but I'm not sure if I'm interested in those, I mostly would just like to say hi, I thought they did something with them at the dealer's den for autographs? I'm confused.
I'm cheating, so Saturday the fursuit parade starts around 2PM I believe.

Kimlinh Tran has a voice acting Q&A at 2-3:30PM at DLCC 407. I'm thinking I can catch the tail end of that, maybe start with dealer's den, head to kage around 1PM (no idea where the allegheny is), and then catch the tail end of Kimlinh's thingie to say hi and maybe get an autograph :D
It looks like Kim only has two other panels, I wish there was an autograph's spot somewhere but I have no idea if she has one, hm... I want to get Kage's autograph for a friend also but I don't know how that works D: I was supposed to get a badge from a friend for him to sign if I could get him to, but I don't know how all that goes about or if there's a printer somewhere in the convention or uuuuugh.

EDIT: So dealer's den at noon, only have an hour, then gotta run to the hotel for kage, then back to Kim at DLCC407 I'm soooo going to get lost :/ That ends at 3:30 which gives me 2 hours before mario kart, so more food then I guess.

Had a funny improv thingie that my brother and I went to in Maine, and the joke they were running was, "Sex with me is like having sex with _____ " and the audience filled in the blank. I soooo wanted to say porcupine rofl, but my god I was even more afraid of what I'd hear in return XD (#fuckingfurries)
Kimlinh's other stuff are
Saturday 4PM-5:30PM at DLCC307 and Sunday 3-4:30pm DLCC 319-312 but I'm not sure if I'm interested in those, I mostly would just like to say hi, I thought they did something with them at the dealer's den for autographs? I'm confused.
I'm cheating, so Saturday the fursuit parade starts around 2PM I believe.
Other than that the dealer's den opens at 10AM, but I'm feeling this list looks solid for that day

Posted 10 years agoSo the line was an hour and a half this time instead of five and a half hours. But oww x.x had to stand the whole time, could at least sit in the other line. Already tuckered out though lol, but I need to train for the MK8 tournament tomorrow, I've been a dirty slacker x.x.
Oh also, not that big of a deal, might have to get on it soon but KIMLINH TRAN IS THE GUEST OF HONOR!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!
She's the voice of Fidget from Dust an Elysian Tail, omg I loved that game so much and she was really good as fidget in it <3 and apparently she's also Chi-Chi in DBZ abridged, omgggggggggggggg
