Liger Watch. I live!
Posted 3 years agoOk I realized it's been a hell of a while since I posted anything and thought I'd at least make a Journal. Not dead. Still around. And no I'm not jumping back due to Twitter stuff. I never left but haven't had much to post. Tend to only post completed stuff here but I've had pretty low energy and time over the past year to really finish anything. But I have continued to sketch. Those who follow me on Twitter have seen some of the sketches I've posted there. Thinking I'll probably start posting up sketches here going forward, probably some of my back log in the next few days too. That way I have stuff to actually post. So yeah. I live! Art incoming. Hopefully sharing sketches here will help to motivate me to get off my tail and finish some art!

Liger Watch. Create a Species
Posted 5 years agoAlrighty. I've been tossing around the idea of creating a babyfur Open species. An original species created primarily for babyfurs! There's all kinds of neat species out there but none geared towards babyfurs specifically. I've already done this on twitter with some good ideas there but I want to cast a broad net and get a lot of ideas.
So I'm asking for your help. What traits, physical and psychological, do you think would be essential for a Babyfur species? Let me know below and your input will help create a new species!

Liger Watch. Loss in the Family
Posted 6 years agoWell I feel the need to get this out there. If only to help myself with processing it. I've kinda tried to write and rewrite this to get this out in a good way. I think just going through iterations helped. I suppose I'll go with straight forward to the point brevity. We had a power outage Halloween night and into yesterday. During that time grandpa found grandma on the floor of the bathroom unresponsive. She was rushed to the hospital and they rushed to my job to get me. She had a massive bleed at the base of the brain. She died late last night.
I went to work friday morning with a frustrating power outage due to the cold and by the end of the day I'd lost my grandmother. She was completely fine that morning. Worried about me going into work due to the storm the previous night. And now here I am. Grandpa didn't take it well but we had a lot of family with us last night and around today. He's better but It'll take time. I'm getting things sorted and making arrangements. Today was my first day without her and getting up in the morning and making breakfast felt weird. It's the little things.
But I count myself lucky that we had a whole lot of family around at the time. Her nieces, nephews, my grandfather's brothers and their families. We had a lot of them over today and calling through out the day. It'll suck for a while but we'll get through it. I've cried more than I have in quite a while but everyone's come out of the wood work for us. We'll make it through. I'll get through it.
Just wanted to get this one out there and vent a little and get my thoughts out. Thanks for reading.

Liger Watch. Still here!
Posted 6 years agoIt occured to me thanks in part to Ryan that I've been pretty inactive around here for a while and maybe should at least make a journal.
Nothing really wrong just been in an artistic funk as it were and having a hard time finding time to actually sit down and finish art. I've got a number of sketches to work on but just actually getting them to a finished state hasn't happened lately. Just hard to find the time and drive but I'm sketching a bit more now so hopefully I'll have something new soon.

Liger Watch. Hominid Fossil Find
Posted 8 years agoAlrighty well I was watching through some youtube vids and came upon ones discussing a hominid fossil find from Europe dated about 7 million years ago. Graecopithecus. And after listening to people crow about it I found myself wanting to do a lil something so I thought I'd write this up.
Firstly I've seen a lot of stuff with the Tag of basically saying humans came from Europe and not Africa. That's wrong. This fossil find DOES prove that Hominids even Early ones tended to range much farther than previously believed. However the Archiac features of Homo Floresiensis, referred to as the hobbit, already suggested this. But just because we had a relative in Europe it does not therefore follow that WE are descended from it specifically.
Secondly even if this hominid were the root of the hominid family tree it still doesn't change the rest. Modern humans most definitely originated in Africa. Not just due to the fossil evidence but the genetic evidence as well. No where else on Earth will you find as wide a range of human genetic diversity. This means that humans have been established in Africa the longest.
So in the end all these Vid and article headers reek of a combination of click bait and a failure to understand the science and they miss the cool implications of this. Now with two examples of Hominids found far afield from Africa LONG ago it opens the door to the possibility of them having ranged farther. Of there being all kinds of as yet undiscovered cousins in the Fossil record across the globe waiting for us to discover them and continue to piece together intricate tapestry of human history. From the line that would go on to be us to the myriad other branches that took their own path and simply aren't here today.

Liger Watch. Family Loss
Posted 8 years agoWell. This weekend hasn't exactly turned out the way I thought it would. Hoped it would. This morning, a few months after his diagnosis of stage 4 Cancer, my dad passed away. This was the first time I'd actually cried in quite a long while. And it already feels strange. The tears are stopped for now but just thinking about all the things we won't do. All the things we used to do. Seeing my grandmother, his mom, break down was heart breaking. He passed not long after we got there today. Feels like he was holding on until we got there. It was me, my grandparents, mom, and some relatives. As of now there are things to plan for and focus on. But it's still hard. Not really sure what else to say other than that. We knew this was coming for a while and it gave us time to plan, but all the time in the world doesn't really prepare you for this sort of thing. I guess the only thing left to say is to treasure your loved ones while you have them.
Liger Watch. Cancer in the Family
Posted 8 years agoWell I thought I'd make a journal about this as it's kind of a big thing for me. Some of you know my dad's been having health troubles. For those that don't. He's had what seemed to be some stomach issues for a while. Monday we went to the ER to get it checked out finally. Just as we were put in a room my dad had a seizure. He came back around after half an hour. His blood sugar levels had crashed. Testing revealed an infection and a mass on his right Kidney. Test for the Seizure confirmed it did no damage and was likely the result of the blood sugar crash. Further testing on the Kidney mass however revealed today though that the mass is definitely cancer and while the Kidney mass is the only one they the cancer may have spread to his lungs and aren't sure if it's Stage 3 or 4 yet.
Needless to say this new information's hit us like a ton of bricks and scared the family. Myself included. Now is a bit of waiting to confirm what stage it is and hope there are treatment options. Not sure what exactly the future holds but time is a LOT more precious now.
Anyway I just needed to get this out to vent. Get it off my chest. Wish us luck guys. Right now we're really hoping for just a little luck.

Posted 9 years agoChristmas is finally here and here's hoping everyone's having a good one. Lots of cubs big and small excitedly opening presents and playing with toys. I know I got a nice one. A Doctor Who DVD set that came with 10's Sonic Screw Driver! Hehe I guess it's only appopriate considering I've been watching the Marathon a bunch today and woot Christmas Special soon.
But anyway how was everyone else's Christmas? Hope you all got great stuff and had lots of fun. ^^

Liger Watch. Happy Thaksgiving!
Posted 9 years agoWell today is that special time of year when we gather together around probably way too much food and give thanks that it's there so we can tolerate each other. XD Ok I kid but still it's a nice day to get everyone together and eat and talk and stuff and hopefully not be at each other's throats. Which i'll say this. I'm thankful that my Thanksgivings only involve immediate family so there's no drama. ^^ Hope you guys have all had a nice one and for those outside the US here's hoping it was at least a good day for ya. Heh. Thanks another thing to be thankful for. All you guys out there. So hugs all around and again Happy Thanksgiving Everybody! *hugs*
Liger Watch. Trump Present. Not Just Yet. What YOU can Do.
Posted 9 years agoWell Ok unless you've had your head under a rock, or don't live in the states and have no interest in our politics, than you know that in the recent Election that Trump won. He will now be America's 45th President! Or will he? Here's a fact for you guys. The Electoral College which is what actually elects the President won't be casting their votes until December 19th. And here's the thing. There is nothing making them Vote the way their state fell on Election night. They can technically vote for whoever they want. Trump won the Electoral Votes by a land slide but the Popular vote? Hilary won that by a margin of over a hundred thousand. Here's a Petition on Change.org asking the Electoral College to follow the popular vote and Elect Hilary Clinton president instead.
https://www.change.org/p/electoral-.....er&utm_campaign=share_twitter_responsive
Yes I found this via twitter. On Lady Gaga's page of all places.
And for those who may say that this is unfair. He won the Election. Well yes and no. Most of the swing states that earned him his Electoral votes came into his favor just barely. With maybe one or two precent points. And again more Americans want Hilary than Trump. And why not go with that instead of the Electoral Votes? I mean why shouldn't our votes count directly? Isn't it undemocratic that they don't? Well someone thinks so. Donald Trump Himself. Back in 2012 he seemed to think that and even called for a revolution. Although he was wrong the popular vote came in for Obama as well.
So here's our chance to if nothing else make our displeasure known and maybe take the first step in changing the way our elections work. We may still end up with Trump for president but at very least your, and hopefully others, are now aware of this hiccup in how our elections work and may not reflect the will of the people as they should.

Liger Watch. Mass Effect
Posted 9 years agoOk I'm fresh off of watching the N7 day trailer and after that I went ahead and looked at their Andromeda Initiative stuff, well what's available without making an account for them. And I'll say this. The stuff on their site looks neat. But the trailer we got for N7 day today was VERY underwhelming.
Virtually no new information at all and it's taking some restraint not to swear like a sailor here. We got glimpses of a new alien race and a decent look at a Salarian so we know their in Andromeda but the thing is that according to the site 3 other Arks were built by other species. Unless those Arks are multi-species than that means we're loosing the vast majority of familiar Mass Effect races. That doesn't sit well with me.
On top of that there are a number of other things that just grind my gears. First of all lets look at WHEN the Arks are leaving. Launch is scheduled in universe to be a year before the events of ME3. Ok I need to swear. How the FUCK is that possible?! These are enormous fucking ships looking to be a good fraction of the size of the Citadel! How the fuck did we build these damned things? I get it the "lets go explore" thing is probably a cover for the public so some of the species can be saved if shit his the fans with the reapers. But what we're seeing with these trailers seems to be a pretty big public initiative that there would be fucking records for everywhere. Meaning it'd be VERY easy for the Reapers to follow and then kill them all. But by that same damn token there is ZERO mention of any of this in the previous games so there ya go.
In short things don't look so great for the start of this game. Bioware is trying to just run on with Mass Effect without addressing the clusterfuck that was the endings of ME3. They need to be fucking addressed and probably retconned if we're ever gonna move forward. The only hope of that we have is that once in Andromeda and awake someone on board the ship successfully contacts the milkyway using a QEC and we get filled in on what happened. But I'm not holding my breath for that.
So what do you guys think? Anyone else as underwhelmed by what we've gotten as me?

Liger Watch. Addressing Pascal's Wager
Posted 9 years agoAlrighty boys and girls settle in for some more serious discussion from the lil Liger. Today I was looking around through various groups and their Journals and I came across one on the Christian-Furs group which used Pascal's Wager as a reason for believing in Christianity. For those on familiar here's Pascal's Wager.
1. If God does not exist and we believe in him, we ultimately neither gain nor lose anything.
2. If God does not exist and we do not believe in him, we ultimately neither gain nor lose anything.
3. If God exists and we believe in Him, we will be eternally rewarded.
4. If God exists and we do not believe in Him, we will face eternal judgement.
Therefore it is stated that belief in god is the best position to hold as being wrong yields no negative consequences and being right about it nets great reward and avoids harsh punishment. However there are flaws with the argument as often presented here.
1. Assumes that spending your life believing in a nonexistent god is not a loss. When in fact is is. You spent your life believing and perpetuating something which as it turned out was not true. You lost precious time of your life to this belief. Time that could have been spent enriching your life and or someone else's.
2. Is more or less similar to one. If god doesn't exist and you don't waste your time worshiping the nonexistent god than you gain quite a lot of time in your life to devote to something that actually is real and of consequence.
3. Yes if God exist and you believe in him you get the big reward. Eternity in Paradise. But maybe that might be just a little tainted by the next one.
4. If god exist but you do not believe in him than you face an eternity of punishment for this. Simply because you could not bring yourself to believe in him and worship him you are punished. It doesn't matter if you otherwise led a just an noble life. You are punished.
So the only reason to believe in Pascal's Wager really is out of fear of eternal punishment for the crime of not spending your life on your knees as it were. But ask yourself this. Would anything worthy of being called a God be that vain? If it were would it really be worth your worship? Why worship a deity that possesses such vile human flaws. In my opinion nothing Worthy of worship would ever demand it or punish anyone simply for not receiving it. A parent does not demand their child love them after all.
Beyond all that the argument breaks down further when we consider that there are many faiths. Many would be gods to worship. Many of these are mutually exclusive. You can't believe and worship them all as many demand they be believed and worshiped alone. And it's impossible for all of them to be right. But it is possible for all of them to be wrong.
At any rate that's my take on Pascal's Wager. What do you guys think? Leave a comment below and let me know. ^^

Liger Wath. Mass Effect. What I want.
Posted 9 years agoAlright fair warning this is going to be a vent Journal. I've just seen the "trailer" for Mass Effect Andromeda and oh boy I need to talk about it. Before I do here's a link to it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2vgHOXeps0
That was pretty much the entirety of what we got at EA Play today for Mass Effect Andromeda. A game that's been in the works for about 3 damn years and nothing! Mostly stuff we'd already seen before and what is new provides no real new information. Seriously I had to stop the vid and look forward in it a bit when I first started it because I thought it might be the last one that they put out given it started once again with stock NASA footage. We were all hoping for gameplay footage but I wasn't expecting it just yet. What I was expecting though was more information. A trailer that would give us a few minutes and lay out the ground work of what the state of the universe is at the start of the game. Maybe Devs talking. Maybe a cinematic trailer like we got for ME3 and Dragon Age Inquisition. But no. We get next to nothing.
EA, Bioware. I hate you both right now so god damned much! My visceral gut reaction to this is to tell them to eat shit and fucking die. After bring strung along for so god damned long I'm sick and fucking tired of it. How about if they have nothing new they shut their god damned mouths and that includes on fucking twitter! I don't give a shit about a Dev spouting that something looks good or they just finished something. If they can't tell us anything of substance about it than they should shut the fuck up!
Well what do you guys think? Am I the only one enraged by this?

Liger Watch. Cushypen Talk
Posted 9 years agoWell Cushypen just recently made an FA page for itself and I couldn't help but want to talk about it. But if you think I'm going to be singing it's praises the answer is no. I'm also going to try not to bash it either but I wanted to put out there how I feel and was wondering how others felt about it.
I remember back a few years ago now when MifMaf started Cushypen being a bit angry. Here she was creating a paywall that would seperate us from some of the best artist in the community and they were going for it. I was a bit pissed. But taking a step back though I can understand why. They're good artist and what artist wouldn't want to make a living on their craft and have a stable steady amount of income which is what the subscription fees would give them.
Looking at things now I find I'm still somewhat torn. I understand the artist wanting to make money. But at the same time I'm still sad to not see much of their work anymore. We were given promises that this wouldn't be an end to their public work but it at least FEELs like it's slacked off a good deal. Though not for all of them. There are a number who have kept up a good presence for their public art as well and I can't help but thank them for continuing to share that wish us and continue to inspire others. Though I've also heard that some have struggled with keeping up churning out art for Cushypen and that it's been a bit draining on them.
Lastly I do wonder just a bit if Cushypen creating a page on FA might be a sign that subscriptions have dropped off a bit. I'm not saying they are but it's certainly tempting to think that might be a reason.
Also I think they may have a problem with how they try and market their site. Or at least in what they show as a sample of their site. I can't help but notice that despite their claiming to produce art with a broad spectrum of themes and taste that quite a lot of the art they show is female dominated. Or at least it seems that way to me. This might not be representative of Cushypen's body of work but if it's the image they put forth than it might steer away those that aren't interested in a lot of female art.
Here's Cushypen's page if you'd like to go take a look at it for yourself.

So what do you gusy think of Cushypen? Anybody a subscriber? Either way share your thoughts I'd love to hear them.

Liger Watch. Stuff Edition!
Posted 9 years agoHey Guys! Well I just looked at my last picture and cringed that it was posted almost a month ago! Sorry for taking so damn long with posting anything. Was in quite an art rutt for a while there but I DO have sketches on the chopping block that are being worked on. So look forward to some art sometime within the next few days. And maybe even some Zootopia fan art. Yes the lil Liger went to go see it and LOVED it. ^^
So yeah art rutt now over and art is in coming. Just thought I'd make a Journal to let you guys know that it's coming and that I'm still around. XD Again apologies. Heh. Suppose it didn't help that I was sucked head long into Fallout, then Plague Inc, and then Far Cry Primal. XD

Liger Watch. Need some Fallout 4 Help
Posted 10 years agoOK I normally don't make a Journal like this but this subject is frustrating me. So any Fallout 4 fans please give me a hand here. What do I do to decrease the scope bob for scoped weapons. Scoped weapons are kinda useless at the moment for me as when I got into the scope I have to struggle to keep the damn thing steady and I have no idea where to put points in order to improve that.
Liger Watch. Star Wars 7 Review (Spoiler Free.)
Posted 10 years agoWell I saw Star Wars the Force Awakens today and well I feel I need to make a journal on this. "Oh boy Lig saw an Abram's movie. He's about to explode with vitriol!" Well I'm gonna say that your wrong. I liked this movie. A lot. ^^ Oh this is gonna be hard to do Spoiler Free but I will. Anyway where to start.
Well first off I think we should start with our new characters. They're pretty damn good. There wasn't a single one of them I didn't like in some way. Well Ok Kylo Ren isn't a fav but I see what their doing with him and I like it. Rey turns out pretty interesting and strong and Oh I have theories about her. XD Fin is also pretty awesome and I found it pretty easy to connect with him as a character. BB-8. Ok I thought I'd hate him but he was actually He was used pretty well in this one one and it's pretty neat he's a practical effect and Ok he is a lil cute. Though I"m still not the craziest about the design. I mean I don't get how he's going to get UP a stair case.
As for Returning cast I think it goes quite well. Nobody feels pointless or overstays their welcome. The chemistry with them and the new characters just works pretty damn well and there are those quite moments with them and the new cast alike that lets you get a feel for them as people and gives the movie room to breath.
Now something I've seen many people say is that "Gee this could be a remake for A New Hope almost." and I have to disagree with that vehemently. Yes there are some similarities with the over arching theme. Events do play out differently and it does feel pretty fresh. The use of the Force in this one is pretty awesome I think and I could name a few abilities here and there. I saw a number of familiar species, as well as interesting and memorable new ones too and it just felt like Star Wars. Well written Star Wars at that.
And that leads to why I think this one is good in spite of Abrams. This movie didn't have his usual writing staff involved. It was instead worked on by the man who wrote The Empire Strikes Back. In short we had strong writers and a good cast who knew what they were doing. All that mitigated things and allowed Abrams to make a good film and shine with the stuff he does best. The space stuff we see in this and the vistas and such are quite fantastic and that stuff is Abram's strength. It's just that it's finally been paired with writers and cast who can deliver.
In short this was a pretty darn good film and definitely belongs in the Star Wars Franchise. Ultimately it does feel like it belongs here and I can't wait for the Sequel. ^^

Liger Watc. Trailers!
Posted 10 years agoWell I just saw the new trailers for both Star Trek Beyond and Independence Day Resurgence and I feel the need to talk about them! So here we go.
Star Trek
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szYGln3eNeA
Ok I really wasn't expecting this trailer. Hell I wasn't even sure if there was going to even BE another StarTrek movie as I hadn't heard any news on it since before Nimoy's death a while back. The last thing I heard was that they wanted to bring in Shatner for a meeting of Old Spock and old Kirk and that Simon Pegg would be directing. Now I see this and it still credits Abrams as Producer. Which takes a lil hope out of this for me. The first reboot movie was.... Well it wasn't good but it wasn't horrible. The second, Into Darkness, sucked VERY hard. I mean space itself doesn't even suck that hard. XD
"But what about this one?" Well I'm not sure what to think about it. I get the feeling that the how Enterprise being destroyed thing we see in the trailer will happen near the very start of the movie and on one hand I kind of hate that as it seems most of this movie will be centered on the planet they get stuck on with no space. But other Trek stuff has managed that before. The new alien species we see in the trailer does look nice and I'm trying to figure if they are indeed a new species or Abram's take on an existing species. After all his Klingons in the last movie looked a lot different. I think there may be some potential here but the last movie was such a blow I have trouble trusting this one. I don't think this one will be nearly as bad as Into Darkness was given it's doing it's own thing and that's a lot of what saved the first one. It wasn't trying to be an imitation of something better. All and all it has some potential but who who knows if it'll grab that potential.
Independence Day
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TgcDdhFnfw
This was another one I wasn't expecting but wasn't quite as shocked to see. I've seen more on this one in the works than I had the Trek one but still. This one looks....Ok I can't hide it this one looks awesome! I'm not expecting hard science from this but the fact that we get to see the aftermath of what is our typical alien invasion type scenario is pretty damn cool all by itself. I saw someone in the comments on it say it looked like XCOM and I gotta agree it does yet I can't help but like that. Another thing is I really do like seeing all these actors reprising their roles. Though I dare say it'd have been nice if Will Smith would have reprised his but oh well the actor they got to play his son seems to be enjoying the role and I like him. ^^ I also saw a handful of other actors who I've seen as good supporting characters in other scifi and such during the trailer. All and all this one looks like it's going to be pretty fun.
It's kinda funny that I"m more excited to see the Independence Day movie than the Trek one. And I know a lot of people will point out maybe that their both big budget action scifi and why am I so happy to see ID when I'm not so happy to see the same from Trek? And truthfully a number of the other trek films have been action romps. I think the differences is that Trek has had a long history of reflection and being at least a bit thought provoking both on the small and big screens. Each of the TNG movies despite how good or bad they were did have interesting stuff going on with the characters and a consistent theme. Of course that was helped largely by the fact that these were familiar characters. Just like the TOS films these movies came AFTER their respective series and thusly we already had reason to care about these characters. The New films not so much. Sure the names are the same and a few qualities but these are fundamentally different people than the TOS crew and Abrams doesn't feel like he's using Trek lore to it's fullest. There's plenty in there to draw upon for inspiration and do something new with but he doesn't do that. Meanwhile ID feels like it's really connecting with the first film and at least from the trailer it does feel like a natural progression from the first one. Beyond that it feels like a lot more care and fun went into this film. It just feels like there's better writing there and that everyone is enjoying their job.
Oh well though I guess we'll see. So what do you guys think of the trailers? Which movies are you most looking forward to seeing?

Liger Watch. MLP The Cutie Re-Mark. (Spoilers)
Posted 10 years agoWell first of all no i"m not dead! XD Just had a bit of an art slump so bear with me guys. Hopefully I'll have something soon. In the meantime though I thought I'd share my thoughts on the MLP season close. Also wow big weekend for season endings. Walking Dead hit it's Mid-Season Finale too yesterday. But at any rate on with the ponies!
Well I have some mixed feelings about this episode. So lets break this into two parts. Likes and Dislikes.
Like
I loved getting to see all these alternate timelines come to pass and see these scenarios. The first one with the War with Sombra really reminded me of stuff from Equestria Prevails over on Deviant Art. It was also nice seeing Twilight use some guile trick Nightmare Moon into clearing the path back to the map for her. Though in that situation I would have loved to see something with Twilight making it through to Luna. Perhaps with her or Spike remarking on the fact that they rule together again rather than just saying they defeated her. To see Luna take hold for a moment or so. But that's my Luna fanboy talking. Loved the look of everything in the timeline with Zecora leading a guerrilla army effectively against the changelings.
Dislike
But I do have a few problems with this one. For one I have to ask where was Starlight Shimmer every time Twilight returned to the present? Surely she didn't remain in that same point in time but was recalled to a bit before Twilight's arrival every time. So shouldn't she have experienced for herself all those alternate futures and seen exactly how bad things would be? Even if she didn't return to the future via magic she would have lived through the intervening years between the Sonic RainBoom and the present.
I also didn't like how powerful she seemed to be in this episode. Considering all the magic she had at her disposal now how could she have been so easily defeated the last time? As for her backstory... that seems really weak. I mean really? She couldn't have kept in contact? Written letters, gone to visit him? And if they were best friends before surely he would have tried to keep in contact with her right? I mean he earned his Cutiemark protecting her? Also given how he earned said cutie mark why didn't she rush out to join the others being happy for him? At that point she had no reason to think he'd go away right?
Lastly her 11th hour redemption. I kind of hate that she does such a 180 and changes her mind and is all contrite at the end and then becomes friends with the mane six. This pony conspired to ruin their lives. She altered time without any considerations of the ramifications there of. Surely she'd have known the various near world ending catastrophes Twilight and her friends were responsible for stopping. She had to have known this wouldn't turn out good but did it anyway out of Spite! Her comment that SHE was happy in her village before Twilight and her friends came along kind of highlights something. SHE was happy. But was everyone else? It didn't look that way to me. They were walking on egg shells around her. She was a Tyrant. She said she wanted equality but that wasn't what she made. She made a place where everyone was the same because they were all under HER. She was the one in charge of the town. She was the one who'd taken their marks and do you really think it was voluntary for all of them? I doubt it. She violated them by stripping them of an essential part of themselves. And yet she's redeemed with little effort at the very end and even some of the old village accept her back. I don't like it. I don't think she deserves it.
Conclusion
While overall I did like this episode and the things it shows us buy and large I can't say I enjoy the possibility of things to come at the end there. What I mean is I hope StarLight Glimmer won't be a permanent addition to our main cast. Things get stretched thin for characters already without adding another redeemed villain who frankly wasn't a good one. That said I wouldn't be against seeing her now and again and seeing a steady change in her with maybe two or so eps with her but we don't need more than that. I mean there's a lot of far better ponies, and a dragon, who deserve some more attention I think.
But what do you guys think? Did you Enjoy the season Finale? What's your thoughts on StarLight Glimmber? And Which was your fav Alternate timeline shown?

Liger Watch. In a Galaxy Far Far away.
Posted 10 years agoWell the new StarWars trailer just hit and it seems lots of people are going crazy over it and this trailer has broken ticket pre-sale records and even crashed sites selling said tickets. And I honestly can't see why? I don't see anything in this trailer that wasn't really present or seen before in the others or material related to this. I don't have any better idea who any of the new characters are or why I should care about them. I watched JeremyJahns on youtube react to this one and well I feel myself a stark contrast to his genuine child like excitement. People keep heaping praise upon this trailer and giving JJ Abrams so much credit and say they are so confident in this movie because of him. Where as I have seen his work and nothing of it inspires any level of confidence in me for this. His last film, Star Trek Into Darkness left a very bad taste in my mouth. I couldn't really enjoy a second of it. Thusly a favorite franchise seems to be heading away from me. Even in the Enterprise days for the franchise I could still find something to like. Now Abrams is at the helm of the Star Wars movie to set the franchise finally forward and I can't see a light at the end of this tunnel. They scrapped decades of world building for these new movies to move forward and I can't see any good to come of the film we'll be getting. Maybe I'll be presently surprised. Or maybe I'll just be nostalgia blind for a short while in the theater, or maybe I'll spend the entire movie cringing Ala Ninja Turtles. Time will tell.
So did you guys see the new Star Wars The Force Awakens trailer? What did you think of it? Do any of your think you have a better idea on how to continue the franchise forward? If so feel free to share guys. ^^

Liger Watch. Sandal's Prophecy
Posted 10 years agoWith the last Dragon Age Inquisition DLC on it's way along with some cool new features coming via patch I've had my brain churning on things. Specifically Sandal's prophecy in DA 2. For those unfamiliar with it here it is:
"One day the magic will come back. ALL of it. Everyone will be just like they were. The Shadows will part and the Skies will open wide. When he rises. Everyone will see."
At face value it seems to be describing the Breach in DAI. But I don't think it actually is. The first two lines about magic coming back and everyone being like they were. In light of all the info we know about how different Dwarves, elves, and even Qunari may have been in times past it seems things have changed and in the case of the Elves it's very obvious they are reduced. Once Immortal with every member of their species gifted with magic. Now they live no longer than humans and only the occasional few retain magic. And given what we've seen with the Titans it appears the Dwarves too were more than they are today. I don't think the prophecy has come to pass yet but that we've seen elements of it in motion.
Now before I continue MAJOR SPOILERS!!!! SPOILERS AHEAD! Fairly warned be Ye! SPOILERS for the ending of Dragon Age Inquisition.
Most people seem to think the prophecy is referring to Coripheous and his goal to restore the empire. But I don't think that's it at all. I think the He in the prophecy is Solas,Fen'Heral, The Dread Wolf. His goal I think is exactly that of the prophecy. To restore everyone to what they once were. Particularly the elves. And given how he describes the Fade once being part of our world rather than separate I think he plans on re-unifying it with Thedas in order to do this. I think that was his original intention for the Foci. The line about him rising I think refers to him either rising from his slumber as he obviously just had at the start of the game or his rise back to the power he once wielded.
Anyway that's my take on Sandal's Prophecy. What do you guys think? And also anyone else miss Sandal and Bodan too? Seriously Bioware I wanna see Sandal! XD If the next dlc has us walk into a room of dead Qunari and be greeted by "Enchantment!" than I'll be a very happy Liger. ^^

Liger Watch. Ask the Birthday Liger!

Liger Watch. In a Galaxy Nextdoor.
Posted 10 years agoWell the rumors were true. The next Mass Effect game will take place in the Andromeda Galaxy and the game is named for said galaxy. This pretty much validates that entire survey leak. I might have been able to handle that if they'd made it seem like this would be a story worth playing. I didn't expect game play but I did expect a bit of plot and to see something. ANYTHING! Instead what I got to see is a minute or so of concept art, the look of some of the new N7 armor which looks better than the concepts we saw but still looks like someone mixed Halo up in it. And some humans fighting in a desert. Oh and the beginning of the trailer has a Johny Cash song. In short I am VERY disappointed in this. I expected a more considering how god damned long they've had with this. Instead we get to see even LESS than we did in the god damned trailer last year! EA, Mass Effect Dev Team, from the bottom of my heart, Eat Shit and Fucking Die!
Here's the trailer if anyone wanted to see it.

Tell me what you guys think. Anyone else want to join me in my journey to Canada with a torch and a pitchfork?

Liger Watch. Audio Stuff.
Posted 10 years agoSome of you might have spotted an audio submission I posted a while back. Heh. My not so great attempt to sing The Dawn Will Come from Dragon Age. Well I've been thinking lately about doing some more audio stuff here. For example perhaps doing a dramatic reading of some of my favorite novels or perhaps doing some original content just for this. I've been thinking about scifi setting audio logs and the like. I was wondering what you guys might be interested in seeing from me audio wise. And no this wouldn't replace my art. It'd just give me something to post in between art pieces which I find myself procrastinating on occasionally or a lil low on creativity art wise.
