On Saturday, Oct 26th, I'll be hosting a party with Nightmare on Elm Street theme-ish. Mostly this means that I'll be running the movies as background noise and I might serve food and drinks inspired by said films. Nothing is really required of attendees, but whatever you want to do or bring is fine, within reason. Really, this is just an excuse for me to have some old friends over and to invite folks over to make new friends.

Please be 18 or older, 21 to drink. There will be space to crash if needed if you've driven from a distance or if you have too much to drink. Please do not take advantage of my hospitality.

I'm considering doing a small open (meaning I would invite company to come participate) ritual for the Summer Solstice (weekend of June 21st) in my backyard (in South Tampa).
Would this be of interest to anyone? It wouldn't be anything extravagant. The ritual itself would only be about 20mins or so I think and then we'd just sort of nom and hang out.

The first Radical Faeries came together in the summer of '79 in the south of California. A group dedicated to Queer Men and our spirituality, the early founders described us as "The shamans of our modern day."
Founding Faerie Mitch Walker claims that "because of its indigenous, gay-centered nature, the Radical Faerie movement pioneers a new seriousness about gayness, its depth and potential, thereby heralding a new stage in the meaning of Gay Liberation."

Each local group comes up with its own customs, traditions and pseudo-rituals. Spontaneity, gayness, beauty, playfulness and joy are emphasized greatly.

RadFae groups are formed all over the world, but there isn't yet one in Tampa Bay. I would like to open my home and backyard here in South Tampa to host small gatherings and see what we can get organized.

It is my dream to one day build a Sanctuary Community here in the bay area. I would like to either eco-furbish a warehouse or build an eco-village out near Plant City. That could be a long way off, however.

A note on discrimination: Anyone of legal adult age is welcome and no one will be turned away based on gender, orientation, religion, legal status, or race. So long as you understand that the group is a celebration of Queer Male Spirituality and will not ever change in that, you are welcome to stay. (So long as you don't don't cause sufficient drama as to be kicked the fuck out...)

All art is done in real media. The Simple Sketch w/ Watermark is the up-front fee on any commission. Then the difference of the Detailed Sketch w/ Watermark will be expected at that stage, and so on until the piece is complete. Full up front cost is welcomed if the buyer would like to do so. Work will not even begin until the basics costs are met.
All pieces are priced for 8x12 plain bristol board. If a different size or paper medium is preferred then other pricing arrangements may be made at the onset of commissioning the art.

We of our Den would like to host a New Year's Eve Sleep Over and a New Year's Day Meet.

Our Den is residential, parking is limited (carpooling is a good thing). Be respectful of our neighbors and our yard and the cops won't have to check up on us.

New Year's Sleep Over:
Wear your PJs, bring your plushies and something to sleep on/with/under. Bring your booze, your toys, your games (and anything you need to play those toys on or with) and your fun. We'll make room for the sleeping, if sleep is to be had. Bring money for pizza if you have it. You do not have to sleep-over at the Sleep Over, you can leave, or you can simply just not sleep. We'll have music inside and a count down with a kiss (if you have someone to kiss) at midnight.
There will be art-creation, I'm sure, and some badge give-aways.
Always open to ideas of things to do.
Fire and crowds make me nervous, but if you guys want to bring fireworks, we have the space for them.

You do not have to stay for the New Year's Day Meet, nor must you have attended the Sleep Over to join us at the Day Meet.

Pot Luck Lunch, of course. With more of the same from above. Only, no sleeping, and the PJs will be a little awkward at that point.
