Annnd I just found out that  bunnyman passed away a couple of months ago. Coupled with the passings of other folks like Taral Wayne and Mark Merlino over the last year, we're really starting to lose the old guard quicker than anyone would like.

To the older folks I know in the fandom...look after yourselves. Make good choices. Eat better, keep in shape, exercise, listen to your doctor. The fact that the average age of departure is early to mid 60s is WAY too soon.

Please don't become a statistic if it's not too late.

I just found out an old school fur I knew from my Ohio days passed away this past September.

 Ostrich was one of the very first furries I met in person when I first moved to Ohio and really became active in the furry community. And then shortly after I had moved into an apartment with Squirrelly, he followed soon after and we were neighbours for a few years.

Back in the day, me, Pandaguy, and Ostrich had an inside joke. Now it's just me.

Fare thee well, Ostrich. I loved your fursuits, I loved having you as a neighbour, and if you see Pandaguy, tell him..

...that you both have a very strange fetish.

Like everyone else, I’m absolutely gutted by the loss of  dragoneer. He was a pillar of this community, and created a site that’s been a staple of every furry artist out there. But in addition, he was also a friend, and close to several people I hold dear, some of which have also passed away over the years.

Well done, big guy. Rest well. You’ve earned it.

We’ll all miss you and remember you.

Hey guys! Okay so long story, my pal Ghost had a coyote character he bought from Yuchi Coyote, and he wasn't doing anything with the character. So he was kind enough to give the character to me, and I was happy to accept, as I'd loved this character's design for years!

That said, meet  bowty! (His name is pronounced "Boaty".)

He's a space coyote, and so far I'm just uploading all the existing art to this account. But I've already done some new pieces, AND the little guy has joined  foxlover91's Kahuna Thrill Rider crew! So you'll be seeing him get unabashedly drunk, wiped out, and bonked in no time! :D

Hey all! Wanted to give a few updates.

First off? My main twitter account is still suspended. I honestly have no idea when or even if they'll unsuspend it. But everything is being handled by bots and JR and I have NO freaking clue how to get an actual person to look at this situation and fix it. But I did change the user name on my back up account to something more relevant, so my Twitter name is now @babsiwuff. If you are on Twitter and have not yet done so, please give me a follow, as I often post commission info and stream updates that I do not post here.

In the meantime, I know there are folks here that refuse to touch Twitter with a 10 foot pole. (And for that I commend you. Social media is an inescapable yet horribly necessary evil for creatives) So I'm going to start posting stream announcements here again for the time being.

Finally, wanted to give an update on my cat situation. Unfortunately I lost both my kitties Deanna and Frosty, and now I just have Rio. But he's enjoying being an only child and he loves all the attention. So I think for the time being I'm going to stop actively searching for another cat for now. Thanks for all the suggestions you guys gave though! :)

Hey all, I need a little help. With Frosty getting older and having lost Deanna earlier this year, I’d like to find another kitty to keep Rio company. I’ve been looking at various cat and kitten rescues in my area, but no one has a cat right now that particularly stands out, and with the pandemic going on, adoption is harder with all the extra hoops to jump through.

I’m looking to adopt a cat aged 3 months to 5 years of age. I’d rather not adopt a baby kitten but if someone comes along that needs my help, I’m willing to be flexible. 🙂 Ideally I’d love another female, and I’d like someone black, grey, or calico.

I know a couple of folks in my circles are vets or have connection to shelters and kitten season should be kicking in. Can anyone help me keep an eye and ear out if anyone needs a cat or kitten to rehome?

To clarify:
*Please do not refer me to shelters or cat rescues. I’m already looking at all shelters in the GTA, thanks!
*I am in Toronto ON. So if you have a cat to rehome and you are in another country or province, that will not be helpful. I need to be local.
*No I will not go on Craigslist or Kijiji.

Hey guys. So, long story short, I’m a Big Bad Wolf. And because of it, my Twitter account got suspended. There was a creepy dude harassing a ton of my friends, and when I stepped in and got...colourful when I explained what wolves do to dogs who bother my best friends, Twitter zeroed in on THAT instead of the creeper and now? Thanks for everything, my friend. You always went above and beyond to bring happiness to me and to others. You always made New York City worth visiting and you showed me so much. I have no idea what's left to go see now that you're gone. New York to you was what Toronto is to me.

You let me wear your Care Bear fursuits, and though that seems mundane or trivial, it really wasn't. These were official fursuits from the 80s, and it really was fun to stomp around in them, especially Funshine. You always made a point to tell me that if....well, THIS ever happened, that one of those suits would end up in my possession. If that happens, I promise you, I'll perform that Bear with everything I have.

And of course there's the RTR show. Public access won't be the same now. You know, I remember the first time I did the show with my Nick Rhabbit puppet. The guy in the studio next door was doing some weird performance to Prince's "When Doves Cry" while sitting in a bathtub, licking a box of mac and cheese. The show we did brought the house down, but it was AFTER the show, that I'll never forget,. We were all riding the crosstown bus to get dinner at Boston Market, and we all still had our puppets out. So here we are, a gaggle of about 8 idiot furries, breaking into a loud round of "Wheels on the Bus", while people are scrambling off, probably a good three stops away from their original destination. Gotta say, it's one thing to witness the craziness of NYC but it's another to help cause it. That moment was amazing. XD

My main regret? I wish you had taken better care of yourself. If you had, you'd still be with us. But what's done is done, and in the end? You're in a better place. I just hope that place is Care A Lot, and I hope they have the most ornate magical carousel you've ever seen. You have all the time to ride it and enjoy and I hope you do.

You always insisted you were Tenderheart Bear. I believe you.

I just got word that  genecatlow has passed away from natural causes.

He was one of the most sweetest most kindest individuals I had ever met. I was so proud to call him my friend. He always went out of his way to make me smile, and the times I had met him he was always so happy to see me.

He and his wife always made an effort to support my art and lift me up as a person. Gene, I love you so so much, and hope you have ascended to a bodhisattva. You have most certainly earned it.
