Hey all, I’m posting here to put it out there but I’m pretty desperate for commissions or I won’t be able to afford rent or groceries this month.

I am currently out of a job due to a back injury a few years ago that has gotten progressively worse. I unfortunately now require a cane and walker to get around, and I am still waiting for the verdict on my disability income.

Finished my que from Furnal Equinox this year, unfortunately had a month and a bit delay due to a shelf falling on me at work. ...Of course it had to be my drawing arm. @w@;;;

Thankfully all healed up now and have been working through the list, I've managed to completely clear it!

As some of you may know, I was diagnosed a few years ago with a rare skin disease. ((Necrobiosis Lipoidica)) My previous specialist was of no help, telling me that there was no cure for my condition, gave me a tiny bit of cream, and said 'Good Luck!'.

Since then, the area in question (my lower leg/shin area) has had the spot grow even larger and more irritated until it finally ruptured the skin surrounding it and started to cave in.

I've finally found a doctor who takes me seriously and is helping me work towards a (hopefully) usable cure, but I have a long road ahead of me.

I just got back from the hospital yesterday, and my leg is all wrapped up and held together using two compression bandages. I'm finally getting some form of treatment, which is awesome!
However I still need to pay out of pocket for my antibiotics, the various medical ointments for it, and the supplies needed to wrap my leg and keep it protected, (Not so awesome. D: )

I am already out $150 dollars and this has so far only been the first day. :C

Hey all, I'm doing a sexy Pumpkin Patch YCH this year! Please feel free to take a look! ==> ((CLICK ME!!!))

This YCH will be open till the end of October, the goal is to have them done in time for Halloween!
(This is a fall based YCH, though it's mostly related to halloween and some perverted pumpkin vines. ;D)

I don't usually make journals, as I know that they can get swept away in a flood of other notifications, but... I just really felt the need to post I guess?
I wanted to make a little reminder to myself, sitting in my journals of things that I've been working on over the past few months. We'll see where this goes. XD

I like my current job. It feels like lifetimes ago when I was working at a fast food place and wondering if I would ever be able to do anything with my life other than simply taking up space and existing.

But, things change.

I moved cities away from my family to be with the love of my life. It was rough, having quit my job during the beginning of the holidays, and learning how to act while living with his parents.
Trying to job hunt around in a vastly different place than what I was used to was a huge struggle, especially with retailers only looking to hire seasonal for the holiday season.
Even giving it my all, it still took me five months to find a job.

And I was so grateful. I took over cleaning tasks and customer service with little to no training, and had to teach myself about all of the products through trial and error
(aaand scouring through the company websites to learn all of the estimate height and weight limits on the products themselves!)

My main thought during this time was that they weren't expecting me to last. Hell, I wasn't trained at all on how to use the cash register until three months down the line!
(...and that was because more than half of the people working there had decided to up and quit.)

My love and I have found our own place. Our little spot in the universe, shaped vaguely like an apartment. (We... Still have quite a bit of unpacking/organizing to do. = w =;;; )

We have been able to make our relationships with our friends that much more closer and special, because we're now literally the next building over.
(Bad day? Friends. Had a dumbass argument over nothing? Friends. Just need to chill and hang out? You guessed it, friends. I'm sensing a theme here. XD )

I've been trying to stick up for myself more. To love myself more. To feel like the amazing person that my friends say I am. ...And for the most part, for once I would like to think that I am succeeding.

I've been working like crazy at my retail job, and I have my manager praise me and say that she's been hearing great things about me! Which is awesome! I've been working so hard to improve!!
Only to have their head office crack down on my manager and tell her to cut more hours.

...I *really* can't afford that. I have rent, bills, and food to pay for.

I haven't been taking too many commissions lately, and I know that I haven't been posting as often as I should.

I would like to change that.

I've been working so hard to try to improve myself at my retail job, and in my artwork that even something that I spend hours on just... never sees the light of day.

I want to show everyone how I've improved, and I think I'm finally ready to start loving my artwork again. :) (...It's a nice feeling, if it's a little bit terrifying!)

I've been having issues with my computer while it's been trying to run Paint tool sai,
Crashing to desktop, loosing progress, unable to save or resize anything due to high memory load, ect, which has but quite a damper on my art and ability to post lately. :'C

This issue has been happening to me in some shape or form pretty much any time I try to open the program. :T

I have a licensed version thanks to a friend, and thanks to that I now have full access to the still in development Paint Tool Sai 2!

I no longer have my usual textures or brushes and I'm still trying to emulate my most frequently used old ones but I'm finally making some progress!!!

Expect new sketches, some cool YCHs, updates on other commissions (I am using Sai2 to finally put on the finishing touches), and maybe even a cool project or two that I've been hiding under the woodwork. :D

I still have a few more things to do on it, but we're chugging through! :D

And don't worry, I'm also trying to make some time for a bit of personal art as well, so I don't burn myself out doing just commissions XDD ( lookin' @ u )

Work wise, they legit only gave me 5 hours this week. I went from working 35-40 hours a week down to 5. Which sucks royally, as I have bills and rent to pay still. :c

I'm going to be opening up stream commissions very soon, once I finish up my current commissions and I hope that they can generate enough interest to keep me afloat! XD

Sorry for lack of updates for the last little while, I've been pretty consumed by convention prep! XD
Going to be selling at Furnal Equinox for my second year, and I'm super excited about it!

Hopefully will be more prepared than I was last year! loool
I got my business cards all finished, I have a banner(!!!) that's on a stand that shows my prices and some commission examples!

I have also until recently been working long shifts and kind of going overtime for my hours every week at my job.
I am just finding out now that my work had to cut hours all around because they'd been overspending for the past few months.

So now I'm down to working 10-15 hours a week, which gives me time to work on art(which is awesome!), but I am now going to be incredibly broke until they are able to supply me with more shifts.(not awesome. :C )

I am going to be dropping my prices, and seeing how it works out. I'm really hoping that I can get a bit more business going, as I'm kind of scraping by for rent right now. :c

I will be selling charms, bookmarks, magnets, as well as traditional sketches and digital commissions!

 elunaodis and I are finally in our own apartment! This is so exciting!!
It will take some time for us to get used to our new place, but everythings looking good so far~
(Besides general nervousness and fear that we won't be able to afford this place by ourselves, that is.)

I'm sorry for lack of gallery updates, we've been so focused on the move (and working!) that everything kinda got shoved aside for a bit. XD
I'm hoping to get full time hours at my job permanently, as we're still a bit worried about money.

Working 40+ hour weeks has kind of been killing me. :C

I'm going to start doing streaming sketches next month, as we need to be very careful with our computer usage for October.

My mate  elunaodis and I finally an apartment! If we're approved, we'll be moving in at the beginning of October!

However, to make sure that this happens as smoothly and less painful as possible, I need to take some emergency commissions!! I'm working as many hours as I can at my job, but there's only so much that I can do while working part-time. :c

We have zero furniture besides our bed and dresser. No tables, no chairs, no appliances(not even a toaster!), no dishware, nothing! :'C

Not to mention food costs, transport for moving, ect...

I'm still open for regular commissions!!
