To everyone who gave me support and encouraging words in the last journal, I really really do appreciate it. I took ambien and knocked out last night so I didnt reply to anyone. I still didnt really sleep well, but i think my head is a bit more clear now. I was very rattled to say the least. I curled up in bed with my plushies and a few other choice items and had some much needed 'Little' time to de-stress, and fell asleep.
Still waiting to hear back from insurance, the rental car people, and everyone in between.
Just gotta take everything a day at a time. A moment at a time. The thought of getting back in a car still...well, it makes me anxious.Driving said car, considerably more so. Thankfully I dont have to drive til tomorrow for work...but sadly I DO have to drive tomorrow to work :/ Kinda wish I had more time.
I want to tell myself Im just over-reacting, but its not changing the anxiety, so Im just going with it. Can only stay in an aroused(elevated stated) for so long before you have to come back out. So Im just going to do my best to ride it, no pun intended.Or...iunno maybe it is. Thats kinda funny.

Whats your favorite food/snack/meal?

Mostly for my personal purposes, and so when someone comes off way too strong and wishes to tell me about how repulsive it is that I am associated with a bunch of "yiffing furfag bestiality endorsing costume sluts who are sex crazed perverts" I can show them that its simply a misconception lol. Usually once someone starts spitting hate about furries to me, I tend to wait it out, and then ask them a few simple questions. Such as. "Have I ever once done or said anything to or around you that would lead you to believe that I act in such a way?" Or "You seem to have some pretty strong misconceptions about what being a furry is about....why do you feel that way?" And then if they are willing, I proceed to inform them of the non media-sensationalized side of the fandom that is full of wonderfully talented and creative people striving to get by and make friends like anyone else.
Being in college, a place where such sensationalism gets people talking, I tend to happily wear my 'certified furry' badge from MaryMouse, looking for some good conversation. Obviously not everyone approaches me, but Im not a mean person and usually people who do ask are already acquainted with me through class or some other medium. Ive had some great talks, and being in psychology I understand that everyone has a different story to tell, even if many of them are based on the same misconceptions lol. I get to answer questions and I always tell them to just ask away, because Im not easily offended and Ill always do my best to answer honestly.
And every once in a while it makes my day when Im , say, riding the bus, and someone walks on and they see my 'certified furry' tag clipped to my necklace or pants pocket, and they stealthily work their way towards me and says, "I thought I was all alone..." and smiles at me like I did something monumental. I guess, for her, on that day, I did. We had a small chat, Im open about being a furry but its my personal rule to never bring it up first, and never actually use the term furry. Ill say, "oh yeah! That shirt is super awesome! I love anthropomorphic animals, and thats the coolest shirt Ive seen in some time." as opposed to "I love your shirt, Im a furry." which, if they have a different definition of furry...could lead to some disastrous results lol. That shirt example was not based on actual events, but the concept remains.
So yeah, back to that bus ride, she was really shy and talked in hushed tones, so I simply answered her questions and reassured her where I could. People have made us think being a furry is something to be...ashamed of, or discriminated against. I mean...I like pizza and Im not ashamed of that, why should I be ashamed for liking anthro art and the creative processes that it entails?
I had someone tell me one day after class as I was walking out after class that he would appreciate me not sitting in front of him or if I didnt show up for class for the rest of the semester. I was taken aback, and asked what caused such a rough remark. He said I should just go yiff in my costume in my mothers basement XD. I laughed. out loud. head back and everything. He looked stunned, and I had to ask him if he was serious. He was hating on my for being a furry. He said yes. I asked him, as two students in the open minded field of psychology, if he would be willing to walk with me for just a few minutes. He didnt really know what to say, so I assured him I just wanted to know why he was against me. I managed to get him talking and proceeded to show him, with his permission, a couple suit examples. Nice suits by well established makers like Madefuryou and DHC,dont hug cacti. I showed him prices and explained that I dont know why he thought I had a suit, but even if I did, for 3 grand, Im going to be careful when someone is across the room with their orange juice, much less other fluids. Then I explained how hot fursuits are and got him to reason out for himself that, while perhaps SOME people might do it in a fursuit, a majority of people dont want all that sweat and juice on their suit, to say nothing of overheating while doing the dirty lol. By the end of it we had a nice q&a session, mostly me debunking more stuff like bestiality claims, and walked away friends. Matter of fact he even sat next to my seat the following days and I walked in one day hearing him tell his friends I was not a freak and I didnt have sex with animals and that every fandom has its extremists.
Not gonna lie. I was proud of a job well done lol.

1st, thank you for all the watches and everyone who actually keeps up with my art~! It means a lot and I appreciate it more than you guys know! Ive come a long way since I first started art, and Ive got a long way to go, but I love that ou guys are willing to follow me on this incredible journey!

That all being said, I know my account has been a bit dormant as far as art goes and this is for multiple reasons.
My money priorities are everywhere and have been for a while. I got a new Wii U recently, as well as picked up the tcg hobbby Cardfight Vanguard! Its fun but its a money drain, so Ive been using money towards such as that for a while now instead of commissions but I do plan to get that back in order soon, so that at the very least I should be putting new art up and get stuff moving again.
Also. My scanner. Its a pain to work with and I get fed up with how bad it eats colors on my traditional work. Since I primarily draw using traditional medias, its frustrating being happy with it on paper and being unhappy with it on teh computer after a long time of trying to adjust colors to make it look decent on the comp anyways. Its a lot of trouble because the scanner doesnt like to stay synced up with our internet, and so half the h time I have to reinstall it to even get it to work properly so I spend 45 minutes uploading a pic instead of a few minutes lol. and then after fixing the colors and everything...its just a lot of work and sometimes I dont feel its worth it.

I AM STILL DRAWING!! I got a new sketchbook recently and Ive been filling it out nicely! I love the paper and it holds ink very well! I have quite a few things to upload once I figure out a good way, so stay tuned!! I do however encounter the problem that some of the pics are on two pages and I feel like that wont look very good after scanning lol. Ah well, do what we can right?

I got a nice new sketchbook Im dieing to try out and some nice heavyweight bristol paper that helps keep my prismas from bleeding everywhere, so its a win win, you get a nice colored headshot with your name on it, I get birthday money and a chance to put my sketchbook to use.

...also I still owe my dad 50 bucks from him buying me a replacement phone and he wants that money. Its been a bit of a stressful few weeks and the last thing I want to do is turn around and use all of my birthday money from family to pay him back and just not have anything special for me to remember this year by XD

A big warm hi to all my readers, wanted to say hi to all those I met at tff this weekend, and give a phone update.
I dropped my other phone upon arrival at my house...and the touch screen said "I don't need this." and stopped responding. I say good for it! abusive relationships are terrible and I support its exodus to a safer and better life.

Ok so first and foremost.
I dropped my phone.
It wont respond to touch anymore. So I cant unlock my phone.
Im taking 3 badge commissions, to be done as I can in my free time, shipped and clipped, 20$ a piece.

TFF WAS A BLAST! I got to meet so many great new people and spend quite a bit of time with one of my newer additions to my frequent commish list, the awesome and adorable  tiggerpup who attended this year as her first con, managed to secure a table, and go well over 30+ commissions!!!!! ON HER FIRST CON! WHUT WHUT!!! Congrats!!
From the fun movie nights of the cubhub or the babyfur olympics hosted by Kitsuno, to the dealers den,artists alley goodies, to teh fun times kareoke for the first time ever, to some fo the fun panels and the meeting under teh jungle gym to meet other cubs and littles, to the fursuit parade and lots of my money spent that I now need for my new phone, TFF was an absolute blast!!!!!!

Anyone played the new release for 3DS Bravely Default?

My friend said hes heard incredible praise for it and gamestop gave it a 10/10. Gamespot has it at a solid 8 and gamefaqs has it at a 4.5.
