Yup! Got a lot planned this summer, and I'm super excited.

First up is a trip i have coming up in a week and a half, heading back up to Canada again, gonna be there for 10 days to hang out with friends and my wife (it's a running joke between me and him, i got drunk and flirty one night a couple of years ago and asked him to be my wife, and it just kinda stuck from there, so now he's my wife and i'm his husband). I'm super stoked because I absolutely love it up there, it's so nice and quiet, yet there's so much to do and so much to explore~ Aaaahhhhh~

And then mid-july, I will be flying down to New Mexico to visit family, where we will be driving ten hours into texas for a family reunion. I haven't seen any of my family in two and a half years, so I'm super excited to see them~ Though, if i'm to be perfectly 100% honest, I would rather use the vacation time to visit my wife >3>

but when I get back from family vacation, I'm hoping to get a job change! i've been working at walmart for nearly 4 years (my 4 year mark will be july 10th, ugh) and with the new changes the new CEO has made....everything's just continuing to go to shit, and I'm done. SO, i will be applying for the Amazon warehouse that just opened up close-ish to here, and hopefully I can get in. If not, I'll just have to stick with walmart a little longer :/ I just want to be out by the time the holidays roll around x_x

but i do still have a couple of art projecs in the works, a short one-page skyrim related comic and a Pre-painted YCH will be coming out as well (it will be a male pin-up this time~)

I'm moved in and finished getting everything set up today...well almost everything

i was supposed to get a call to know what the test results were for whatever dumb disease i contracted on my tonsils, but haven't heard anything

so i'm just going to assume it was probably strep and the quick test was a false negative, because it's been responding well to the amoxicillin and prednisone (except the prednisone gives me such a massive headache, holy hell)

So i went to urgent care today because i've been sick for roughly the past two and a half weeks. Recently, though, I started getting better, then on friday i rapidly declined in health. Then yesterday I took another look at my tonsils, since they've been bothering me the entire time, and lo and behold, there's those stupid little white pockets on them.

Well, the quick ten minute test for strep came back negative, so they sent a bacteria culture and some blood to the lab to do a more sensitive test and to also check for mono (i work around customers all day, of all health ranges, so it wouldn't be a surprise if i contracted mono). I wont really know the results until wednesday, but they did give me amoxicillin and a steroid to help with the inflamation in my throat.

So that's fun

i also can't work until they figure out what it is, just in case i'm contagious

But, despite the bad news with that

I do have some good news. I found a place to live, and it's a really really nice house with the lady that owns it and two other roommates. The room is almost twice the size of the one i'm in now, for almost the same price, and it's not in a relatively shitty apartment complex. And there's other dogs too, so oreo wont be lonely! And a nice huge back yard for him to run around in~ I'm really really excited, and the lady that owns the place is such an awesome lady

And honestly

it took a lot of effort to actually come back.

I almost turned around a good four or five times. I loved it, absolutely loved it. It was so much more than I imagined it would be, and I met such amazing people, and I can honestly say that I love them all to death

I'm planning on doing a longer visit in about a month/month and a half, this time for about ten days rather than just three and a half.

But man, I didn't want to leave

Going to be heading up to BC tomorrow, so I will be gone until friday night! Going to be meeting one of my oldest friends for the first time, so it will be a cool experience~

I'm super super stoked, going to be taking a lot of pictures and stuff

I just wish i didn't have this allergy problem I have right now D: making my voice all weird and squeaky >:C

I have the new rims now, gonna get them put on my car this week hopefully. I also cleaned my car a couple weeks ago, it was disgusting (lookit this gross [link] ). I was joined by an adorable little jumping spider as i was cleaning it, it would scoot around the car following me as i moved to a new section and it was <3

But anyway

Going to be heading up to canada next week, so it will be great fun! Meeting a friend of mine that i've known for eight years for the first time~ Wont really have any access to the internet, but that's okay, i'm gonna be busy breaking in my new camera >:3

And then after that, Family reunion in july, i'm so excited. I haven't seen my family in two and a half years, and I haven't seen my extended family in almost six years!

But as far as finding a place to live goes, i have a couple of prospects, so cross your fingers and wish me luck that one works out.

Oh also wish me luck because I put in for a management position at work. I don't know when interviews will start, but we shall see! It will be a hard transition for both me and oreo, since it's 4 10 hour shifts a week, but it would be a significant jump in money for me.

Well, from my last journal, it turned out that the pain on my foot wasn't a stress fracture, but rather a permanent case o tendonitis. So that's fun. I have to just make sure I don't push myself as much at work as I have been. I also got new shoes to help with the support I was lacking in my old ones.

Sadly, though, I have more bad news than good.

My roommates are having me leave because of Oreo's obsessive barking. While in the past year I haven't really done much to prevent it, I do now have a bark collar that I put on him while I'm gone, and so far I haven't heard any complaints about his barking. But they still want me out by the end of May, so that's fun. If anyone in Washington know anyone in the Puyallup/Lakewood/Tacoma area that needs a roommate, please let me know. I can't readily afford more than $600 for rent, as I have a car i'm paying off, on top of insurance (health + car), a credit card, etc.

I still can't believe that they wanted me to give Oreo up. Fuck that. Not only have I had him since the day he was born, he acts as my anxiety dog as well. whenever I get into an attack, he'll come over and lay on me (it's more of an awkward roll) to distract me from whatever is triggering the attack.

Not to mention I don't want him to spend the rest of his life thinking that I'd abandoned him. He's skittish with people as it is.

And more things, ugh

My car's having tire issues. Sometime last year I got the front tires replaced, thinking that would fix the slow leak issue that I've been struggling with. Well, the tire still has a leak, and it's not really slow anymore. I have to refill it at LEAST once a week, leading me to believe something on the rim itself is causing the tire damage (the last issue was a worn spot on the bead of the tire, which is typically caused by a rim issue). Luckily though, my manager has a set of rims from his cadillac that will fit mine, as he sadly wrecked his car a few months ago. I just hope the sensors will all work for it, but for $25/rim, i can't really complain.

Also, i have a question for all of you that use a nikon DSLR. When using it, does your camera body get warm? I have a D3200, and from reading, it looks like it's a common issue? I'm not sure.

In light of all this bad news though, I do have a little bit of good news

Next month I'm going to be heading up to canada to visit one of my oldest friends. I met them on furcadia nearly eight years ago, and we've stayed in contact since, and now that I've finally gotten my enhanced license, and they've finally gotten a stable place to live, I get to go up for a visit! I'm super excited~

Also exciting is in July, I will be attending my family reunion. I haven't seen my family for almost two and a half years, and my extended family I haven't seen in almost six years! It's going to be awesome. We're going to be going to...uh, Log Country Cove in Texas and renting out a couple of the cabins they have there (there's going to be about 50 or so of us there, we have a pretty big family~). I'm really excited to go, not only to see family, but also to be able to do photography stuff!

Anyway, that's all I can think of. If you just read the TL;DR version, you get a gold star, but if you read my lengthy recanting of how crappy my last two weeks has been, all the cookies and banana sundaes for you!

So, I've been relatively busy with life.

But even moreso, recently i paid off my credit card with my taxes, which was incredibly awesome to do

bbuuuuttt then i turned around and bought a $249 DSLR (which is worth about $439)on the credit card, it's a Nikon D3200, and it came with two lenses and a case *w* (a 18-55mm and a 50-200mm lense)

I love the thing, but holy fuck i dont know what i'm even doing. It's so different from using a point and shoot camera, because I have more control over the settings now, half of which i dont even know what they do :D

In other news

I think i might have a stress fracture on my foot, but i'm not 100%. The spot on the top left middle of my right foot hurts hella bad. I had to use my cruise control the entire drive home and brake with my left foot because i couldn't press down on the gas/brake pedal with my right foot. It was just a dull ache and my ignoring it has only made it get worse, now to where it feels constantly bruised and painful. I can't raise on my tippy-toes, and walking in and of itself is becoming a chore, even as each hour passes, not even days.

Not 100% sure what to do, since i don't know who my primary care doctor is, and I feel horrible about wanting to go to urgent care for it, but if it is a stress fracture, it's not something that will miraculously go away on its own, nor will buying new shoes that have better arch support fix it

blah. just at a loss for what to do at the present time

This poor woman has been suffering for YEARS, and it's been heartbreaking seeing the things that she posts. Well, recently, they found that she has a pineal cyst. She's been struggling for two plus years with this, but that's not what's causing her problems. She has now been diagnosed with a severe sinus stenosis along with other problems.

Essentially, in order for her to survive, she needs to have these surgeries. But they are expensive, so she's put up a gofundme in hopes of getting a little help (as insurance is only going so far)

Nothing much really to update, honestly. It's been the same monotonous schedule- go to work, come home, binge watch a show (almost done with Breaking Bad, gonna finish up re-watching Star Trek Voyager next, and watching Broadchurch), go to sleep, and repeat.

I still work at Walmart, something I hope will be changing very soon. They're making changes to the structure of things, and while I'm fine with most of it, I'm not really fine with a lot of it. I do have a job interview for an apartment complex as a leasing consultant on Tuesday, so I guess we'll see how that goes! But I'm excited to announce that I ACTUALLY have a semblance of a savings going! I haven't been spending extra money needlessly and I've been buying bulk for my lunches at work; instead of a $6 meal a day, i'm spending $6 for the week

Health-wise, I've been okay. Got attacked by allergies at the beginning of the month, went away fairly quickly, but then on sunday my health took a rapid downward turn. I went to work feeling perfectly fine, not even as tired as I usually am, and by the time I went home, I felt horrid. My vertigo was off-balance, I had a fever, and man my sinuses were sore. Forced me to call out Monday because I had the high fever still and no appetite, not to mention I didn't even get to sleep til about 10 am to noon because my nose. But yesterday the fever broke and my appetite returns, so whatever this is is leaving as quickly as it came, though my voice still cuts in and out (has been since the allergy thing at the beginning of this month)

But holy GOD my teeth are hurting so bad. I have a crack in the very back left molar and it's just sending shock waves of ow down the row of teeth. I need to get into a dentist, but as my luck would have it, I have no dental insurance :D just kinda been trucking through it

As far as art goes, I haven't really done much of anything. I started in on a dumb challenge where I use the pokemon fusion website to make an awkward mix and I draw said awkward mix. i have a whole bunch of them to do, and i've only got one started. I have a few other projects in the works, but getting my drawing inspiration up is really difficult for me, if not impossible sometimes (i know i still owe someone an art for giving me a thing, and I promise i haven't forgotten you if you're reading this!). So yeah. I'm not forcing myself to draw, which is what ruined me in the first place.

In light of that, though, me and my friend  pixelbluebird are hoping to be published authors by the end of the year? We're working on a collaboration, working to expand something I wrote years ago and make it better. We're going to be self-publishing it, but I don't know when or how (probably using Amazon's self-publishing tool). I'll let you guys know when it gets finished!

man I'm having no luck with my desktop.

So far, it's holding up okay, but there's quite a few things wrong with it.

For starters, I'm using DDR2 RAM, which is horrendously old. It's really expensive to replace, and is now obselete anyways.

Second issue is the motherboard. There are some components on it that don't work, most importantly, the RAM slots. Where I would be able to use both of my RAM cards, only one of my four RAM slots works.

Third issue is the harddrive. It's making some pretty awful noises. It sounds like a playstation 2 trying to read a disc, it's just terrible. I'm preeettyyy suuurree i's not supposed to make sounds like that.

And I use this computer for various things, from games to working on art in photoshop and suches. I do have a laptop, but i cannot video record or stream my art when using photoshop, as the program is horribly resource heavy and lags me too much.

So, i've started up a gofundme to hopefully get a new rig, because it's time to retire this one HOPEFULLY before the harddrive dies (i've already had my mirrored drive die on me ;c )

They would be priced at $5-$10 (plus shipping) i think for an 8.5"x11" and idk about 4"x6" or 5"x7" yet. But i'd be doing home printing for these, and just buying the printing materials needed and stuff.

So, I want to start uploading art vids to youtube again, but I need some advice on video recording software, and on top of that, video editing software.

Now the ones that I've used:

Action- I only got to use this one for a short time, so I don't really remember it

HyperCam- it leaves an ugly watermark and has horrible video quality

I don't mind having to pay for it (anything below $40 for a commercial license, since i do plan on monetizing the videos on youtube), I just want to know what's good and what isn't before I buy it (or even download a free trial and waste my time)

So the laptop wasn't the one I thought it was, and now I had to send it back.

BUT i have another one on layaway, and ugh, i just want it right meow ;c I still have roughly $195 to pay on it, which blows, and I don't get paid til later this week (unless someone totally wants to help out and i can pay them back when i get my check ;P )

I didn't get to go to the clinic on monday because they didnt have any available appointments, but i went to urgent care today and had some chest xrays done

but i've had...well, here's the breakdown

Wednesday: sore throat, tonsils feel swollen and neck hurts plus headache, no runny or stuffy nose or anything either
Thursday: still much of the same, mostly just uncomfortable plus headache from the sore throat
Friday: dry cough starts (no phlegm or mucus to be had), along side with sore throat and headache
Saturday: persistent cough, headache, fatigue, tired, fever
and last night rolling into today, the cough's just gotten worse and the fever still remains

so i'm going to go into the doc's tomorrow, and hope that it's nothing incredibly serious (because i have 5/5 symptoms of walking pneumonia)
