Helping a friend
General | Posted 8 years agoA friend of mine decided to start selling neat stuff at cons and she's setting up a Patreon for it. She's a sweetie and she needs some help getting established - check it out!

General | Posted 8 years agoHey all, just getting well enough to get back to work this week, thank you for all the love and support while I've been out of commission. I've got quite a bit of content to record and get posted to get caught up, and I promised myself I wouldn't post a sale until I had it all done. That said, I had a ton of my patrons drop me while I was sick, so I need to post a sale asap. I'll have a submission up with the sale details after I've done my recordings for the day. I've mostly moved to relying on Patreon and FA for my main source of income, since the cost of finding rides to my day job takes more than half my pay. This new urgency should help me stay focused.
I'm also expanding my Patreon to include monthly streaming events - live Q&As in suit, Let's Plays, and more starting this month. Speaking of which, if you were my patron for April but dropped me, I still need to get you my April photos. My stomach issues kind of left me unable to wear my corset so we didn't shoot yet, but I should be fine to in the next few days. Just note me and I'll send them when we get them done.
Anyway, I'll be working on my backlog first, so you can expect at least a couple things posted by the middle of next week. Thanks again for your support!

Bunday Update: 3D
General | Posted 8 years agoOkay, so another update - my pain continued to worsen, bad enough that I ended up in the ER. I'm out now, after a CT scan and a bunch of bloodwork. Looks like it's a nasty stomach infection. So good news - no need for surgery. Bad news - no easy instant fix. I'm going to do everything I can to beat this and get back to work.
Thanks again for all the love, having you all here for me really lifts my spirits.

Bunday Update 2: This Time It's Personal
General | Posted 8 years agoSo, had my doctor's appointment, and I'm not sure what to think about the results.
Apparently, she can't find any evidence of a hernia, but it's clear to her I've got weak abdominal muscles and connective tissues. She's having me go in for an ultrasound. In addition, my gallbladder may be part of the problem, and is likely causing or exacerbating my back pain.
Either way, I'm going in next week for tests I can't afford to decide if surgery I can't afford is necessary. Once I can get caught up with my queue I'm diving headfirst into another round of open commissions.
Thank you for the well-wishes and support, I'll do my best to kick this thing's ass and get back to doing what I do as soon as I can.

Bunday Update
General | Posted 8 years agoHappy Easter! I know I'm a little late, but I thought I should let you all know what's up.
Editing and recording are on hold while my neighbor renovates - he keeps odd hours so I never know when he's up. I'm mostly done though, so if he takes a day off, I should have more stuff posted.
In less happy news, I think I've got a hernia. Started feeling something shift in my guts awhile back, but now it's tender and occasionally painful. I'm heading in to a doctor's appointment tomorrow to double check my options. I'm not a fan of hospitals, so I'm a little nervous. Hopefully I'll be in and out without needing invasive surgery. Either way, I'll keep you posted.
Love you all, and I hope you had a wonderful Easter!

February Update
General | Posted 9 years agoOkay, so it's been a hell of a month!
We launched my Patreon, and are pretty close to the second milestone for the referral bonus with a day or two to go. If we can get a few more that'd be wonderful - we're 20 people away from the next tier - but to be honest I'm still floored by how much support we've gotten so far.
As for new announcements for my Patreon, I've added a Telegram group for my patrons, and I'm planning on doing livestreamed gaming events starting in April. In addition, we have our guest stars lined up, hopefully one or two per month, and a few have already sent us content.
Betty is coming along nicely, but with all the craziness I haven't been posting pictures regularly. Hopefully that's going to change soon, as we're just about to finish the head sculpt and start furring.
My queue is still in progress, so you should see new recordings come up every few days.
One last thing - I'm still surprised every morning when I wake up that we're surrounded by so much love and support. It still doesn't feel real, having people who are excited to see what we post every day, people who want to see us succeed, people who care. I hope that Fox and I can always be there to help your fantasies come true, that we'll be able to always follow through on our promises, that we'll make you feel as welcome and loved as you make us feel. Thank you for being there for us - you're why we do what we do.

Valentine's Day
General | Posted 9 years agoI hope all of you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
We've had some scheduling conflicts with clients who got Director's Pack content, so please bear with me as I continue to work through those and get them posted. If you're still waiting, I'll be in contact with you as you come up in queue.
In other news, our lack of vehicle and the costs associated with taking an Uber to work mean that we don't get to celebrate today. We're running sales and such for those who want to support us, and we're glad to accept the help however it gets to us. Rather than leave it at that though, I want you all to do me a favor: Go out and celebrate love today! If you're single, go out and have the best damn meal you can get your mouth around and pamper yourself! If you're in a relationship, tell them your feelings, and maybe ask them to try something new in bed! Not really a 'love' person? Just let the people in your life know that you appreciate them!
More than chocolates, more than flowers, more than those godawful chalky heart candies, today is about letting people know you care. So however you do it, do it twice as hard today for us, okay?

Patreon and TFF
General | Posted 9 years agoHey everybody, we just launched a Patreon page for my voice work and suiting!
What this means:
I'll still be posting content here, but I'm going to be adding content for Patreon as well, most of which will be posted here after an exclusivity period just like Fox does.
Patreon content will include things like extra Betty suit production photos and concept art, outtakes from my audio dramas, a chance to win customized content or other exclusive bonuses, potential live streaming events, and more!
Why Now?
We've had an invite from some friends who are going to TFF, and want to do some sexy photo shoots to post on Patreon and FA. Since the Betty suit is finally in full production mode, we wanted to commit to it fully while giving all of you a chance to score some exclusive content. Also, Patreon has a referral program, and every patron I add for the next 30 days will give us a bonus that will make our trip financially viable.
Thank you so much for reading this. Without your support, we wouldn't be able to take the time to do what we do, and I'm grateful for each one of you. I'd be honored if you'd be my patron and help us make even more fun content.

Update
General | Posted 9 years agoOur car died yesterday. Looks like the transmission is out. We have no idea how long it will take to fix, or what the cost might be. Also have no way to buy groceries or for me to get to my day job, unless we hire an Uber or a cab. Seriously. I just want a little reprieve. Just a couple of months without any major trauma so we can catch up.
And on top of all that, our nation has new leadership that seems diametrically opposed to our values as Americans. Free speech, free press, free assembly - these concepts mean nothing to them. I prepared a statement yesterday to record, but with the turmoil of the breakdown I did not. Here is the statement in its entirety.
Today marks the beginning of a new age for our nation. The tides are going out, the walls have fallen. Our new leadership has committed to rolling back the clock on freedom for anyone different than themselves. Minorities, LGBT, alternative sexualities and lifestyles- we're all at risk, we're all targets.
In spite of the danger, I stand resolute. Those who would oppose our freedom to be different are not in the majority; history is not on their side. We shall oppose their agenda, fighting their ignorance and hate with knowledge and compassion. We shall fight tooth and nail, we shall earn our liberty.
Call your congressmen and senators. Be visible as one who stands up for themselves and others. Be a peaceful resistor to the whims of those who believe in oppression. Let our message of love and understanding be always on your lips. Practice peace and compassion, even towards those who would harm you.
You are loved. You are accepted. You are worthy. And you deserve better than what those in power have in store for you.
Stand with me. Resist.

Ramblings of a fevered mind
General | Posted 9 years agoI'm so sorry I haven't been as active this week. I've had a sore throat for a few days and just started running a high fever. I'll be back on my feet soon, but in the meantime I wanted to say a thing.
I seriously love you all. Doing my voice work and helping Fox with his art brings me a kind of fulfillment I don't think many people understand. I feel like when we work together that we share a special kind of moment. Yes, it's for porn - but I feel a closeness to you that speaks to something deeper. I'm going to try to explain that here.
Psychologically speaking, many fetishes are the mind's way of dealing with unpleasantness; childhood trauma or fear can assert itself later in life as a sexual interest. For example, some people who enjoy bondage and enclosed spaces may have struggled with clostrophobia as children, etc. Although that's not the case for everyone, I certainly see some of that within myself. I was terrified of dogs as a child, and now I treasure my current relationship that features petplay as our major household dynamic. I was terrified of the dark as a child, but now I love having my sight taken away. I was uneasy around costumes and makeup, now I'm a huge fan of both. Engaging in those interests in the safety of consensual sex is a way for the mind to ease the fear and replace it with joy.
Although that's not the case for everyone, I often see kinks in those kinds of terms. To me, helping someone become more comfortable in themselves by admitting the things they secretly love is a sacred act. It's connecting in a way that most who meet randomly in the world will never be able to. And to bring their fantasies to life, to help someone find fulfillment in a fantasy - that's a huge honor in my book. To have someone trust me with such sensitive information, and to use that information to our mutual benefit; it's IMHO a worthy calling.
Maybe I'm crazy, maybe it's all just silly fun and I'm overthinking everything. But even if it's just for fun and there's no deeper meaning, it's still wonderful to be let in on your secrets to share and play in your imaginations. So thank you. All of you. Whether I've worked with you or you're just stopping by; if you've watched me the whole time or have just heard that I exist. It's an honor to know you, to share this little corner of the internet.
I'll be back, but in the meantime, stay kinky.

January Update
General | Posted 9 years agoHey everyone, I just thought you might like to know...
We bought Betty's fur! Well, okay, most of it. Nobody seems to make the prefect red, but we ordered the black and the cream. We'll keep checking on the red, and if we need to we can always go a little brighter and darken it later.
We're still trying to recreate Betty's voice for the new work I've been doing, but once it's done I'll have a few recordings from her for you.
Stay sexy out there,
-Lina

New Year's Update
General | Posted 9 years ago2016 was a rough year... Let's work together to make 2017 better! Let's make sure that we're improving the world, at least to whatever extent we are able. Let's speak up about what's important to us and make our voices heard. Let's live and love and experience all that we can. Let's be the best versions of ourselves we can be. And if any of you need help from us just say the word - we've got to stick together if we're going to succeed.
As for our plans? We're going to be pretty busy. 2017 will be Betty's first photoshoots and convention appearances. 2017 will be the year Fox and I stabilize financially as a team. 2017 will be better than 2016.
Year of the Rooster? No. The Year of the Fox.
Happy New Year to you and yours. May you find joy and peace in the coming year. Know that you are loved, you are accepted, and that you have our support in your journey. Fox and I love each and every one of you.

Merry Christmas!
General | Posted 9 years agoI'm not religious. I can't stand the fact that the entire country grinds to a halt for a quarter of the year for a single holiday, consuming the others as it grows like a 50's movie monster. I despise that every store puts on Christmas music for months now. Bah humbug, etc.
But despite all that, I want you to have a Merry Christmas because it's not about me. As a society we're taught that enthusiasm is a bad thing - getting too excited about something is embarrassing, and one should always keep their uniqueness under wraps for fear of upsetting someone. But it's high time that changed. So even though the smell of pine needles and gingerbread makes me gag, I want you all to have an amazing Christmas! Go be with the people you love, eat way too much food, and drink egg nog until it's coming out of your ears!
Fox and I love each and every one of you. You're the reason we do what we do, and we owe every ounce of our success to your support and friendship. Merry Christmas from our household to yours.

BLACK FRIDAY - Commissions Open, With a Twist
General | Posted 9 years agoSo now that my recording booth is mostly set up, it's time to do another round of commissions! There are a few changes this time, however.
1. I'm adding a new option - Voice Director's Package. You actually get an hour of time directing me LIVE on Skype. I call you, we discuss what you'd like me to voice for a little bit, and once the meter starts running, we have an hour for as many takes of the lines as you like. I can usually get about 20-30 lines in that way (depending on if you want retakes), and you get to be a part of the creative process. Think of it like a private stream :)
My price - $100 for a session that includes time to discuss before and after, and one hour of booth time.
2. I'm discouraging sound effects in this round - I'm sorry, my setup in the new house makes sound effects more difficult. Everything's negotiable, but I just can't do anything elaborate.
3. I'm reserving the right to post anything I record. I'm okay with listing it as anonymous if you wish for privacy, and bleep names in post-production. I've taken three "private" commissions, and they turned out to be some of my best work, and I really want to build my portfolio. Please tell me you want your commission made anonymous when you note me.
My other policies have not changed from http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7487956/
Completion date - no later than Dec 31st, 2016.
Comment with "SOLD", etc. and note me the details, any commissions taken by Friday, Nov 25 will get a 20% discount for Black Friday!
Open slots:
1. ANONYMOUS user - Done, awaiting editing
2. ANONYMOUS user - Paid, awaiting negotiations

Breakdown
General | Posted 9 years agoFox and I have been through a lot this year. The moving drama took up our entire summer. The new house is nice, but the bills are far higher than we thought. The car decided to act up, and is acting strange even after repairs were made. Not to mention the election.
Between all that and my retail job, I've been stressed to the point of breaking - two days ago, I confessed to Fox that I had been having thoughts of ending my life. I hate that those thoughts came to me at all; we've fought through so much and it's not fair to check out now and leave Fox to clean up the mess. But there it was.
We talked, and I agreed to see a counselor. Upon meeting with her, she was shocked at my mental state. She asked me to immediately find a way to take time to get my head right. It's the worst time to ask for it, but I put in for a medical leave of absence. My company is fantastic, and nobody gave me trouble over it, but now I'm worried - I'm going to have no way to contribute to our finances for a couple of paychecks' worth.
So I'm putting out the call - after I take a day or two to get my head right, I'm opening up for a second round of commissions. New policies, pricing, and workflow options will be posted as well.
Still owed -
Art Slave - 1 hour
Line packages - 2
New work will be completed after these have been finished.
Thank you all for your support, and I hope that this time away from my day job will be full of the kind of work I'm passionate about.
Much love,
-Lina

The Election
General | Posted 9 years agoMost pundits and analysts were wrong. Not necessarily about the popular vote, but about the electoral college. Rural states and bigots won out, giving us our President-Elect - a monument to all our sins.
Maybe he'll actually pivot into a decent politician, but if nothing else take comfort that all these things we worry about him doing have happened before. LBJ, Clinton, and Kennedy were all sexual assaulters in one way or another, Nixon was a vengeful and petty man who used his political power to hurt his rivals, Reagan tanked the economy by favoring the rich; it's all been done, albeit not all by one person before.
Anyway, the real vote happens in December when the Electoral College actually vote. Yeah, America is weird about this stuff. Anyway, there's a petition to ask the Electors to follow the will of the people and go with the popular vote rather than vote as the electoral maps request. I'd suggest you sign if you're not happy with this week's results.

This is the last political thing I'm posting. Then it's back to being sexy, I promise.

Waiting to Vote
General | Posted 9 years agoI know, I know - everyone's sick of the election. I am too. But I just want to say a couple of words about this whole mess, maybe giving a bit of context about my choice of candidate.
I lean towards being a liberal - I feel that it's our duty as people to care for each other, and American conservatism since the Reagan era has been caught up in the idea that compassion is for the weak. Treating the working poor like moochers, cutting education and welfare, giving tax loopholes to the super rich - all while lying to their constituency by quoting faulty research and courting votes from the poor and uneducated. Their policies also completely fly in the face of their other claim; that they are the more moral party since they oppose abortion and are obsessed with legislating morality. Here's a hint - if you protect unborn children but cut funds for assistance programs and education for the child once it's born, it's not called being moral; it's called being an asshole.
But of course, this year's Republican candidate doesn't care about all that. Hell, he doesn't seem to care about much aside from himself. He claims to be a brilliant businessman, but he's filed for bankruptcy six times, and has had dozens of failed business ventures. He's had over four thousand lawsuits against himself and his company for crooked business deals, not paying his contractors once the work was complete, and using his charity's funds for personal purchases. In addition, his temper scares the bejeezus out of me - I'm legitimately worried he'll start WWIII because someone said something nasty about him on the internet. He's gained a lot of popularity from decent folks who are scared that society is changing. He's also being endorsed by white supremacists for the same reason.
I was hoping for Bernie, to be honest. His voting record was solid, his policies would have brought us more in line with the quality of life that northern Europe enjoys while still keeping the spirit of being American, and he's an extremely compassionate person. Alas, politics works like the Oscars - the person who gets it is the one who's owed it for their past performances, not the one who earned it this year. Hillary kind of stole the nomination, or more appropriately her supporters in the DNC stole it for her.
At first, I bought into the media's assertion that she's shady and unlikeable. But then I actually did some research. She did a fine job in every post she's held, and she's been involved in foreign relations for at least as long as I've been alive. She's made more than her fair share of enemies, but every investigation against her has had a partisan taint. She's been in Congress, she's been in the Executive Branch as Secretary of State, and she's had first-hand experience of the strain that being the President can entail. She's done a few things I don't care for, but after looking into it all, I can't find anything to fault her for. I'd wish she was warmer in demeanor, but I know she's had to be guarded to deal with the ugliness of politics, especially with the sexism that's rampant even today. I wish she had a better hold of her digital communication, but since every sneeze or stumble is trumped up into a scandal (ha, see what I did there?) it's understandable that she'd want some things to stay private. I wish she were more open, but last time I checked politics is ugly work and white lies are practically a tool of the trade. Still - she doesn't cheat on her taxes, she isn't a sexual predator (though I'm not entirely sure about Bill), she's trying to be culturally sensitive and she doesn't have any problems with her temper. She has also grown to support LGBT rights - although she was late to that particular party, I don't care as long as she's here now. Oh yeah, and once she won the nomination she started to shift her political views to split the difference between her positions and Bernie's to better represent Democratic interests rather than her own. I still can't claim she's a great person, but I'll gladly say I think she'll be a great President. I'm with her.
Anyway, I don't want to get anyone upset. I don't care who you vote for. But I want you to vote. I worry about The Orange One winning, but hopefully Congress can continue to get absolutely nothing done and minimize the effects of his rage and bigotry. I hope for Hillary, but I'd rather have seen Bernie or Elizabeth Warren. The third party people don't really feel prepared - Jill Stein loves junk science and Gary Johnson couldn't foreign relations his way out of a paper sack; it also doesn't help that a protest vote could tip it for the one I don't want. But nevertheless, whatever you do, whoever you pick, you go for it! Part of what makes us great as a country is that we can all have our own opinions.
If you're going to comment here, please be civil. We can disagree without being assholes, you know.

Moving Update 4
General | Posted 9 years agoI'm officially losing my mind.
To recap:
June - our agreement to housesit ended, and we were encouraged to find a new place
New place infested with brown recluses and black mold
July - got confirmation that we could break the lease at the new place and keep staying in the previous place indefinitely
August - was told that the house may be foreclosed on, but not to worry - the legal circumstances of the owner prevents his property from being seized so we're fine
September - hey, guess what? Foreclosure! Also, get out in three weeks.
I'm having panic attacks at my day job (which I've held for six years without a problem), I'm barely sleeping four hours a night, and Fox's computer problems set us back by at least a month.
To those still waiting for audio from me, please know that I think about it every day, and I won't take on any more work until I'm fully caught up.
To those who know me socially and worry I'm not responding much, please understand that I still want to talk - I just feel kinda broken right now.
To those who are just generally concerned for Fox and me, please trust that we're trying to take good care of each other.
I used to have a desire to be self-destructive, and I saw a tinge of that feeling coming back. I had a rough week at work, and ended up breaking down in the middle of a grocery trip when music that plays at work played over the speaker. I instantly wanted to run away from everything and hide, maybe harm myself.
I have a thing through work where I can get a therapist for a few free sessions. I called it in, and will have an appointment this week.
Thank you for taking the time to read this - I really you guys.

Moving Update 3
General | Posted 9 years agoGoddammit.
I'm sure all of my watchers are my husband's fans, so I know you heard - after fighting off the spiders for weeks, we found black mold. On the plus side we're getting our deposit back, but we've still got to find another new place. Which means we're still practically living out of our boxes for another month.
I'm going to unpack my recording gear so I can finish my queue. Expect updates soonish.

Moving Update 2
General | Posted 9 years agoSo, the bug spray helped immensely - when we went back to the new place a couple days later, we found a few more recluses, all dead. We're going to keep vigilant in the hope we won't see any more live ones, since a single bite on Fox's hand could ruin our livelihood.
I'll be honest though, this whole mess has me in an awful funk. Most of our stuff has been packed for weeks, but nothing substantial has made it to the new house.
It doesn't help that we're fighting over the space itself. Fox's health issues and our differing schedules mean we need separate bedrooms and bathrooms - the bedrooms so we can each get our sleep, and the bathrooms so I don't get sick. I'll spare you all the details, but suffice to say that while it's not life-threatening it's still a quality-of-life issue. Due to a misunderstanding with the lease company, I'm now stuck with a choice - take a bedroom that barely fits my bed in it, or get the bigger bedroom and have to use Fox's bathroom to bathe, possibly making myself sick.
I don't mean to complain - I'm happy to be with him even when we are at odds, and the house thing will get better. It's just that I hate being stuck like this. Having everything ready to go for weeks with no progress on the actual move is killing me, and I'm half tempted to unpack all my computer stuff so I can at least catch up with my voice queue.
I don't really drink, but I'm debating picking it up.

Moving Update
General | Posted 9 years agoSo yeah. Got the keys to our new place.......and we were greeted in the bathroom by the biggest brown recluse we've ever seen. So we are waiting to unpack for a few days. We're still sleeping at the old house for now, but everything is still sitting in boxes.
Sorry i haven't been active, and that i haven't unpacked our equipment yet to finish my work. I'll send out updates once the spiders are gone and we unpack.

Downtime Update 2
General | Posted 9 years agoMic tests are complete! The rig is now so sensitive, Fox has to hold completely still for fear of creaks. The good news? I can get right up there and all but whisper - sexier, sultry-er audio with less post-production. The bad news - we're going to have a lot more bad takes, since a car driving down the next street over will be audible. It'll be more work, but it's totally worth it.
Sexiness will be returning to my page this week <3
