Done with submitting 2005 art
Posted a year ago... for the most part.
At least we got all the digital pieces under the belt.
There are probably more 2005 works and trad sketches waiting to be scanned and processed.
It's a bit of a mystery from which year each piece is up until a certain date, because I didn't used to put dates down way back then and only made it a habit a couple of years later.
So I mostly have to go by stylism to gauge the exact year.
There is still so much art left to come.
Thanks for sticking around!

🎨 More art on the way! 🎨
Posted a year agoI'll resume archiving my old works.
Looking at these old characters has been nothing short of a blast for me, lots of nostalgic feelings hitting me with them, I hope you're all getting kicks out of my ancient art, too!
Periodically I drew more humans, animals, creatures or furries, depending what got my attention at the time. So if you get bored of the human art for example, don't fret, there'll be furry- and creature-themed work coming again!
There are probably several hundred pieces left to be scanned and processed, it's a lot of work, for real. The pieces come out really dull after scanning and I usually have to crank up the contrast on black and white sketches and correct the colors on the colored pieces (generally the scanner makes them too red-tinted).
I'll probably submit them in batches of 5 pieces a day or so (with hiatuses inbetween bc I tend to fall off every now and then), at least until we are caught up to more current times.
It's kinda wild to me how much I used to draw back when I was still in school. Honestly, classes were just perfect for that? Occuping my hands and listen to lectures was an ideal setup for productivity.
Doing art is my 9-5 job now, unfortunatelly that means I'm often too zapped from the day creatively and focus-wise to sit down after hours and make the art I actually wanna make.
I remember having about 10-15 sketches ready to post at the end of each week, these days I am content if I get to sit down once a month at all :,)
Adult life is busy, what else is new? I'll try to make more time for art, even if it's just quick sketches, or something.
Anyway, thanks for tuning in and sticking around!

First batch submitted
Posted 2 years agoSo I decided to upload 20-30 pieces a day now, at least until we get around 2008 or so.
There are a lot of sketches that demand to be rescanned and archived as well. I will definitely slow down once we are past the -really- early years, but for now this is a speed I am considerably happy with.
I think it's better of the archiving phase is over quickly so you guys don't have to massively clean out your inbox for months on end upon the flood.
Thank you for your advice and patience, much appreciated!
Oh, I also deleted the few newer pieces I had submitted previously, I don't want them to land waaaay at the back of the gallery so I'll re-submit them later when I get around to the years.

Ripping the band aid off
Posted 2 years agoSoo...
As some of you know I have been primarily uploading my art on deviantART since 2005. I originally wanted it to be my art archive, but seeing how dA has shit the bed (for the 500th time), this time with their stance on AI (or lack of against it, therefore), I decided to abandon ship set up camp here instead.
The community is much nicer here, anyway.
Which means there are a lot, and I mean A LOT of artworks to be transfered. About 730 submissions, and there is more stashed away on my HD, stuff I never submitted or re-submitted when I sometimes changed usernames and moved.
I want to get all of it on here, but how do I go about it? Do I swifty upload them in one quick swoop (especially the older works pre 2008 because a lot of them are hmmm 'subpar' since they are old lol)? Or do I upload a piece every now and then?
I guess I will try to upload as much old work as I can tomorrow morning before work (and the following days), which is hopefully a time most people are asleep.
I don't want to spam inboxes or the Recent Submissions, for that matter, and I guess it's better I do it now while I still have almost no watchers vs when there are more people who's inbox will get flooded.
So yeah prepare, the flood is coming.
Edit: oh yeah, it's totally fair to unwatch me until I have caught up to more recent works if you wanna avoid spam or old works
