When you hear something like The Lego Movie, you kinda ask the questions of, "Where can it go?" "What will be the focus?" and even, "What kind of story can it be?" After seeing a few trailers, I didn't know how to feel. Some jokes hit and only one just fell pretty badly. I wanted to see it because Lego's were a huge part of my childhood. So when Amanda said, "Hey let's go see it" Of course I went with the idea
After seeing it: Absolutely WONDERFUL film! The directions it took were perfect for a film like this! After seeing it, I immediately wanted to see it again.
Story: Emmet is an average construction worker who lives by the book, or in this case, instructions. After a hard days work, he stumbles upon this red piece known as, "The Piece of Resistance", and discovers a villainous plot by President Business to destroy the world of lego. Emmet teams up with a group of unique individuals to stop Business
What I liked: The humor for the most part was really good! A lot of jokes hit or got a chuckle. They throw in good hints as where this could go and I took a guess on where it was. I was half right, the other half was absolutely amazing. The films last moments gets really emotional and even shows what the spirit of lego really is. The more bigger, licensed characters, like Batman, Superman, etc. don't take up too much of the focus which is a good move in my opinion. There's so much detail in this movie. Everything is LITERALLY legos! the water, fire, smoke, everything! The pop culture references are also legos only. The song, "Everything Is Awesome" at first I thought was an actual pop song, but is actually part of the movie, I liked that.
What I didn't like: Some jokes don't work, and the one I saw in the trailer STILL fell hard. But luckily that barely happens in the movie.
Who would I recommend this to?: Honestly, anyone. If you're a fan of lego's I guarantee this film is for you. If you don't like lego's, you probably won't like this film.

Posted 15 years agoSeems like the admins here are doing whatever they want...If someone totally disagrees with the admins, they are blocked and try their best to ban them. Why must you guys spread fear? It's like if you come into a conversation Many people will leave out of fear of getting banned. What's so wrong with posting other images in our work, say like a comic? As long as we give credit, we're not breaking rules. What's wrong with Meme's on this site? Meme's usually are fun to join in! And i saw the Nintendo fan club here was banned...Please tell me there's a LEGIT reason, like they were talking shit about people. What's wrong with voicing our opinion, as long as we're not saying, "HUUURRRRR YOUR A BIG STUID ADMIN GUHH HURR!!!" There's no reason to ban us, OR suspend us.
