I thought I was going to be able to power through how ill I feel, but I'm not doing too hot today

I'm very depressed and feeling very unwell

I'm going to rest today for the things I have to do the next few days, then I will be back

I apologize for the delays in getting some of you WIPs, my health hasn't been the best lately and my medicines have me feeling very unwell

My dosages for my immunotherapy were increased and it has been taking all my energy that I have. I haven't even been able to focus the past few days because I keep passing out on myself when trying to do anything

My doctor told me it would take a week or so to adjust to but I've gotta power through this

Tomorrow and Sunday I will be sending WIPs to everyone on my queue so if you don't see one by 06:00 Monday morning just shoot me a note and Monday evening/night I will reply! (It's my day off but I need to keep y'all updated! Me falling behind is on me, medicine or not, and I don't want to keep y'all in the dark)

I appreciate everyone's patience with me and my health, I didn't know some of these treatments and such would hit me as hard as they have lately

I've started immunotherpay shots every other day lately and they make me feel so sick
I have been having to take it easy when working on art and taking quite a few breaks because these shots make me feel like I have the flu and makes me shaky
Shaky hands make doing art hard sometimes so I have to wait out the waves of feeling like poop and then get back to it

I am working on y'alls commissions and have full plans to keep the ball rolling

There are many different theories on the origin of Valentine's day and depending on where you live, you might have heard a few different theories!

Most believe Valentines day is a day meant for romance like Geoffrey Chaucer did with his St. Valentine’s Day poem written in 1375 called “Parliament of Foules”.
"For this was sent on Seynt Valentyne’s day
Whan every foul cometh ther to choose his mate.”

Others believe it is a day of remembrance to those named Saint Valentine (or Valentinus), which 3 are recognized by most Catholic churches. The most predominant instance of this is with a young man named Valentine, whom is believed to have died attempting to escape a Roman prison. Before his death he was believed to have stolen the heart of the Jailer's daughter and would write his letters ending with "from your Valentine".

Some believe in the Pagan origins of Lupercalia that was hosted in Ancient Rome on the ides of February (Feb. 15th). This Festival was highly sexual in nature and celebrated with feasts, wine, animal sacrifice, and random pairings of single men and woman for the duration of the festival and sometimes lasted until the following year's festival (most of which ended in marriage).

And finally there are those that believe the origins were for days and Festivals of Platonic love, familiar love, and love to the world overall. Some of those that believe this path, usually believe that this was a day meant to be open about love and comfortability in platonic sexuality (emphasizing the difference in sexual attraction and romantic love), but was taken over by the ancient Catholic churches beliefs in the holiness of celibacy in unwed singles and the higher seen holy nature of a monogamous married couple.

Despite what you believe for the day of Valentines day, this doesn't mean this has to be a bad day for you.

As a few people I know (myself included) have chosen, this has been decided to be a self care day!

I've had some pretty crap valentine's days in the past (mostly because I decided to make it that way with how I saw today) and I've also have had some pretty great Valentine's days. The good ones were dependent on my mentality towards the day and dedicating my actions to making my own happiness.

Some of my better Valentine's days were spent by myself or with friends and just chilling. Not taking today so seriously of another person needing to make my happiness for me, but making myself happy with a self care day. Watching my favourite movies, eating my favourite snacks, making myself a bomb as heck dinner (those 2 for $20 deals safeway and hyvee have for a full valentines dinner make several decent as heck meals for a single person when portioned out correctly), and just doing what makes me happy.

You'd be surprised how much better one feels after a hot shower/bath, a calm day of enjoyable things like video games or comfort shows/movies, and a nice meal. A lazy day off makes such a difference.

I scheduled a Doctor appointment for today since we had to be out of the house with the animals today anyway. Two birds one stone situation.

I have officially lost 60lbs since starting work with my Primary Care.

I was given an allergy test and it turns out I'm allergic to most trees, weeds, and grasses as well as some foods I eat daily (why did it have to be eggs and mustard yo ;m; I'mma miss deviled eggs so much) https://sta.sh/06r4t2lmhoz

I am also being given an EPI pen and have an allergy class next week.

Heart is still acting up, but she is still unsure why. In theory, the weight loss should take stress off my heart and make it work easier, but I'm still experiencing the same every day. This is leading to the theory that if it wasn't for the weight loss, I would be degrading.

I have finally got my results online on my holtor monitor and stress test information. I already knew it all, but I've just gotten the results on my web portal so I can visibly see them.

We are thinking about taking me off my Losartan and seeing maybe if I am having a negative effect to it.

I see my primary doctor again next month for a check up and weigh in.

I'm still feeling kinda bleh and low, but better

Robert and I just had a massive fight mostly, well, about me.

I haven't had a job since December 2019 and taking care of another person can be a massive burden. I haven't been able to get disability and my doctors are no closer to figuring out what's wrong with me than they were in 2019. Art doesn't make enough to keep up with me not working. Before I was sick, I brought an additional $1000-$1700/every 2 weeks with various jobs. Without that income, we have been slowly drowning.

I've been trying to keep a strong face, but too much is going on.

Robert is starting to hold resentment and animosity towards me for still not being better or making more money to help the house. He says he isn't, but every time tensions get high and we fight, he reminds me of how little I bring to the plate.

He told me how worthless I am, how much of a burden I am, and why I don't get a job for a literal hour a day (if I could, I would), why don't I take more commissions, why I don't make more money with art. He basically just let out all of his frustration out on me and doesn't understand how much it hurt me.

I feel stuck and like I'm nothing but a burden on everyone around me, and I was already feeling this way before he talked to me like this.

We are several hundred dollars in debt with other bills, he owes over $500 alone before he can get his drivers license back, he has tons of student loans and so do I, and we are just in a rough spot.

I feel like a complete failure and like I'm the reason we are stuck in this situation. I feel like a complete burden. I feel worthless. I feel things would have been better if I would have died when I was sick in december vs going on like this every day.

I feel like I should be a lot further in fixing my health and a lot further in life than stuck at almost 30 in a infested apartment with no job and less than $200 to my name.

I was diagnosed with PTSD, Depression, and Anxiety. I have an unknown heart problem. And I feel like the worlds biggest failure.

My therapist is going to love hearing about this next session.

Hey guys! I'm taking some time off to rest and recover from the stress lately.

Between the holidays, the toxic side of my family, they year of hell we all just went through, losing good friends and being in the dark about other friends who have just gone radio silent, the stress of a year later and still not knowing any more of my heart issues, and Robert's botched hernia surgery still not being repaired I'm just overwhelmed af.

I don't want to put out half assed or lesser quality art then burn myself out. I'd prefer to take a few days to charge my batteries back and come back at full potential

I might put out some personal art in this time, but mostly I'm going to just going to take 4-7 days off to unwind and focus on me.

I hope you all understand that I do need to time off.

I work on commissions for approx. 6-10hrs a day, Thursday-Sunday.
I am off from art Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday for my apartments to spray for Bed bugs

We have to move everything out of closets with carpet and move everything away from the walls and out of closet/cabinets of rooms that have rugs or carpet

So all of our stuff is piled in the middle of our living room. We have to pack and vacuum our apartment on monday's. Tuesday's we have to move furniture and everything off carpet and 1 ft away from all walls, gather our pets, be out of the apartment for 3 hours, open all the windows and air out the apartment for 1 hour, move the furniture back, let the pets back out, take all bedding and clothing to be washed and dried on high heat. Wednesday we unpack everything and get to resume our lives at the end of the night.

I don't get a technical "day off" because when I'm not making art, I'm doing stuff for the apartment. When I do take full days off I do announce them.

I have had a busy past past few weeks and haven't been in my apartment too much!

Maintenance has been in and out of my apartment "checking" and "making minor repairs" which has been them eating the clock for 2 or so hours checking the walls where they are falling apart then saying "I don't know if we have time to fix this" and making the problem worse. Before and After maintenance showed up yesterday, featuring my bathroom wall. They've done this to other walls, but this is the only one I got the before of.

Every time they are over, we have to pull all of the furniture away from walls and unplug everything from the wall sockets. This means over half of my day I don't have access to my computer.

With all of this said

We are about to have our 3rd(?) treatment this upcoming tuesday, but we have yet to see a decline in the bugs in the house. We have to vacuum every day and dispose of the vacuum bags which is getting VERY costly. We have been living out of totes and bags the whole time in our livingroom and it majorly sucks. I hate this situation.

With the help of users and legal reddit, we were able to force the hand of our apartments to call an exterminator and treat our apartment.

They sprayed less than a week ago, then again today. Yesterday they removed the baseboards from our apartment. We found hidden water damage in the bathroom, bedroom, closet, and kitchen that they had just covered with glued on base boards. (Insert link here when on pc)

The apartments are not going to have anyone else sprayed that doesn't complain (our neighbors above us to be exact).

We have been told by the exterminators the best thing we can do is just keep telling our apartments we have bugs until we move. He says it will probably be 2-3 more treatments before the ones actively living in our apartment dies, but with other people not spraying we will never be rid of them.

He gave us 4 sticky traps to put under the frame we picked up from goodwill for $60 (which took everything I've earned in commissions to move so far). We still need a new boxspring but we will already have a bedbug case to put around it when we do get one.

We still want to leave this place. We didn't have these kind of problems until this year, and the way it's been handled has cemented we would would literally want to live somewhere else for the $1200/mo we pay. They literally advertise this place for new renters to sign on for $960/mo (no they will not give us that price). Our lease is up September so we want to save up to leave about then http://prntscr.com/vutct9.

We know for a fact that they ARE NOT going to have apartments sprayed when they know they have a pest problem is reason enough to want to leave.

People are leaving box springs, mattresses, and other furniture in the halls (insert box spring pic in hall) by the dumpsters with "BED BUGS" written on it in english and spanish. A single mom broke her lease here to move and was in the office acting a fool today because they are trying to charge her more than the rent left to break her lease.

We want to be done with these bedbugs for once and all. We already have to pack our apartment every week (bedroom, living room, closets, empty dressers, wash EVERY piece of clothing and bedding that isn't vacuum sealed in bags) for him to spray any where there are carpet/rugs and baseboards (whole apartment except the kitchen and bathroom).

I know I'm in a bad spot and trying to move but I would still like to be able to give back to the community.

It is a real test of character to be kind when going through difficult times. It is easy to be kind during the good times, and it is easy to be calloused to others during difficult times. The real task is showing selflessness, kindness, caring, and respect when the world keeps knocking you down.

Hey guys! As some of you might know, I started doing Give-mas when I started making art on here and had to miss it last year while I was in the hospital. I don't want to do that again this year.

For those of you who don't know, you're probably wondering: What is Give-mas??

Give-mas is me giving back to the community that has been ripped off by artists in the past. I was stolen from by a big name artist and small name fursuit maker (I'm not getting attacked by her white knights again so I'll leave the name out of it). She took over $500 for a partial of an old character (Head, paws, tail, arm sleeves, and slipper style feet paws). I purchased the furs myself because I wanted specific colours, I purchased slippers to send for measurements of my feet, and I paid for the head base to be sent to them from another maker. They took the furs, the head base, the slippers, and the money to just ghost me for 2 years then block me every time I've tried to contact her.

I know how heart breaking, disappointing, and just all over f*cked that you feel when someone does this.

I want to give back to those who were stolen from and will never see anything from the scammer that got them.

Your story doesn't have to be public but I would prefer to take on those who have proof of the situation they were in (artist beware, screenshots, shouts left on abandoned accounts, etc.)

If you personally haven't been scammed but a friend of yours has, send them my way (talk to them about it before telling me about them. Let them decide if they want to take part).

The art received will depend on a bunch of factors, but I will try to give everyone who comes to me at least one piece of art.

Art will be received in December.

Give a reference for the character you are hoping to get art for (Doesn't have to be the character that was supposed to be commissioned)
