Posted 2 years ago"Nope," Nora said, a little too gleefully. "That's a thing only human women have. You, as a beastkin, are going to have something a little different." Okey, this pause isn't helping my nerves. "Once a season, you are going to look to mate with the one that attracts you. Also, beastkin often bear two children at a time." I stare at her, doumbfounded. "Did you just tell me I'll go into heat once a season?"
"If that's what you call it, then yes. But I should mention that it only happens once a male beastkin has been imprinted on you, they have to earn your approval. Or something like that." She sounded like she was questioning the words as she said them. "There were almost no details on that part."

Posted 3 years agoHe still wasn't entirely use to this body, though it was humanoid, He didn't constantly think about having a tail, but he did have to brush his fur to look presentable and that took time. There was usually soot and sawdust in it after a day of work. Basic magic was great for cleaning it! Vulins followed followed other races' lead by consistently wearing clothes, which was a relief to Vonn. Despite the somewhat more discreet arrangement of...parts, he didn't want to go nude any more then he had as a human. The pelt was good-looking, a rusty shade with white and some stray yellow flecks that weren't quite symmetrical.
Then there was his nose and muzzle. It brought him scents and lately he rarely bumped it into things. His often-singed whiskers brought him hints of changes in the wind. His ticklish ears swiveled on their own, making sounds get louder or quieter without him moving his head. He'd been told he should go out into the woods and stalk things to get skill credit towards senses, but was too busy. Vulin muzzles weren't as mobile and expressive as human mouths, but the ears were usually an emotional tell. (Kobolds tended towards dramatic body language instead; Aves were hard to read but fluffed their feathers or posed their wings in certain ways)

Unicorns of Udithia
"Not another step!" came a high, mare's voice. The mare's voice sounded higher than it should due to fear and uncertainty, though it seemed familiar.
"Oh come on my sweet. You know as well as I it's your season. Look, I can smell it all over you, so cooperate!" This voice had a deep rasp and a sickening sarcasm which made Aquarion shiver from head to tail. He made his way through to that side as quickly and quietly as possible. A short, Sun Stallion with massive shoulders came into view. The stallion squealed as he staggered backwards from, what appeared to be a kick. He regained his footing and glared forward, his eyes flashing anger, his horn beginning to glow white hot. Aquarion could not see the one the Sun Stallion spoke to, but his senses told him he knew who it was.
"Now we can do this the easy way...or the hard way. The choice is yours," the Stallion threatened with a menacing tone, his ears slowly pinning.

Posted 9 years agoWhat are the differences between a mare and a stallion looks wise ....besides the gender bits. Im being told there is no difference that a mare and a stallion both look the same which I find hard to believe.

Then she met a man, who turned out to be a wolf, and together they built a family.Hana loved her mate fiercely, but fate took him from her, leaving her alone with two unusual kids she didn’t know how to raise. Frightened of being discovered, Hana and her wolf children fled to the countryside to build a new life. Raising her little wild things was an adventure. It left Hana bruised, scratched, exhausted, and joyously overwhelmed as her pups grew stronger and wandered further every day. This is a mother’s journey. Teach your children to chase their dreams – and smile through the tears as they disappear into the world in search of who they will become. Hana wasn’t always a mother, but it was always what she was meant to be.

Posted 12 years agoJust some of my kindle book collection
Magic rises by Ilona andrews an interesting series of books, this being the most recent novel. That takes the some what tired human female in love with a shifter to a higher level by not making the female weak and helpless.
the hunt for elsewhere by beatrice vine talking animal book which I liked very much even if the first few chapters are kind of slow.
a memory of light by robert jordan Last of a long running series human adventure story in theme with tolkens books. Some hinted transformation
felidae by akif pirin german talking animal book that I liked tho found it a bit too graphic at times
lunatic fringe by allison moon an interesting female werewolf novel adult
song of the summer king by jess owen talking animal book that started well tho I did not like the last two chapters.
bloodrose by andrea cremer an interesting take on werewolves sadly books two and three are horrible
promise of the wolves by dorothy hearst book one talking animal book as told from the pov of a female wolf. Starts out very graphic showing how harsh life can be for a wolf pup
secrets of the wolves by dorothy hearst book two of above liked them cant wait for book three
a dance with dragons by george rr martin long running series the most recent book. I liked book one but Im unsure if I still like this series as much in part because the author keeps killing my favorite characters
wolves of the beyond by kathryn lasky I tried to read this series of talking wolf books but I found the first in the series very depressing to read.
fangs of k'aath a very well writen furry novel that anyone who wished to write furry should study in how scenes are set up and the dialog flows so smoothly. I found it a little off putting that being a certain species seems to mean nothing in this book

A very hard to find book has just been put back into print. I was lucky enough to find a near mint copy years ago at a local used book store. Well yes its a kids book per say it deals with some very adult issues. I found it a rather good read for something said to be a kids book.

As of mid-next week, we're going to be removing the following free-to-play restrictions in EverQuest and EverQuest II. Free and Silver players will now have access to all of the following options:
We are opening up ALL CLASSES.*
We are opening up ALL RACES. **
All bag slots are unlocked.
All players can now use the shared bank slots.
The quest journal restrictions are lifted entirely. Quest away!
Of interest to those who like animals this game has a rodent race, a feline race, a frog race, and of course dragon races. And so many different classes it can be hard to pick which one to try lol!
I mainly play the druid classes fury and warden. Warden is sort of a melee healer well fury is a cast from afar type. Why do I like druids so much? Because they get to turn into wolves once reaching level twenty! In Everquest 1 druids can turn their group into wolves as well. Druids can also be a tiger, a bear and a bee. And yes a tree too. The game also has lots of special items that can turn you into different animals.
Also guilds have their own private halls some of which are the size of small towns. Players get there own room at the local inn of their choosing. Plus your able to get a house as well. Lots of differnt mounts to quest for or buy out right.
Mainly I quest for things to add to my house or I make my own housing items.

Hobbit There and back again
Posted 13 years agoWent to the midnight showing and well I read alot of negitive reviews I liked the movie. Im guessing those review people only bothered sitting in the film for the first thirty minutes. As much was made about the new film tech me I was unable to tell the difference so now thinking maybe I should of did the imax verison and snagged the free poster...oh well.
Anyway I did not find the movie bloated to me the movie went far too fast the poor characters hardly get a moments rest before some new action is taking place. Loved the start seeing the group on horses (ponys) as I do like horses a bit ::grin:: But sadly they dont stay mounted for very long :<
They even managed to get in a few of the songs from the book. Tho oddly not the Elf song that greets the dwarfs instead they have two elves playing musical instruments during a meal lol!
The scene with the trolls was changed from the book by the way. That scene seemed to happen way too fast and could of used more dialog in my humble opinion.
For a furry note there is an interesting white worg! :) Watch the scenes with the worgs closly and tell me what you think on if the worgs seem to be talking to the riders. As to me it seemed as if the riders could understand what the worgs where saying. Oh and the worgs have fur not the awful look of the Rings movies so maybe there are different kinds of worg...hmm.
Im planning to see the movie again next week as could not really focus on the movie because dorks in the theater kept laughing. Oh my dog I thought this one lady at the end of my row surely must be part heina for how loudly and how often she laughed. I so wanted to crumble up my popcorn bag and toss it at her.

Jock the hero dog
Posted 13 years agoJust watched this one on netflicks a few hours ago. I was not expecting too much as well you know how it goes with these types of "cartoons" often writen for those under four years old. I was pleasantly surprised however as this movie is very well done with fleshed out and strong characters. A very well writen plot and surporting characters as well as songs that are well placed and not too cheesy. Standard animals can talk too each other but only understand humans type of video. In my humble opinion this tale is much better then any thing Disney currently has out because Disney tales to me often seem fake as if they all exist on some movie backlot even tho they are animated the characters in a Disney film never face any real danger. Jock the hero however seems very much as if set in a "real" world.
Well there are humans in this movie the main character is Jock the dog. Other talking animals are as follows...Jocks mother and litter mates, a poodle, a rooster side kick, a dog that looks a bit like an Irish wolf hound and two monkeys.
