General | Posted 14 years agobike question
General | Posted 14 years agoSo Im thinking to get a bike to help lose a few pounds....Question is where should I get one from? A big box store? A sporting good store? A private seller? A bike shop? Im not looking to enter any races nor do I wish to spend over two hundred. Being in Florida its mostly flat ground here, the only hilly area is about half a mile away.
Also Im a bit lost on what kind of bike to get, been researching but there are so many choices.

Got bored with wow and moved back to Everquest the game that started it all. Lots of furry content! Druids and rangers get to be four legged wolves! Lots of classes and races, feline race, lizard race, dragon race...mouse race. So far I have only been the feline race...wish they had a canine one ::grin::

General | Posted 14 years agoAmazing werewolf art, comes with a story and plot too! Your able to buy the online comic verison if you just cant wait for shipping or the paper comic form or a paper back form. Me I found the art worthy enough to add it to my home collection in hardback form.
Oh and by the way its writen in such a way that you will not be lost and confused if you have never played the game.

General | Posted 14 years agoFurther Confusion?
General | Posted 14 years agoBeen kind of wanting to travel tho FC has a sucky theme this time and the GOH is no one Im overly excited to see. It surprised me to see Rainfurest having better goh then the much larger convention Further Confusion as whats up with that exactly? RF having five different goh well FC only does two.....
On the other paw Im unsure about attending another convention anytime soon after the horror of Anthrocon social wise. Its been so long sense I could travel to these events so Im understandable about those I use to go with having moved on. Yet wow my social life has had such an epic crash that Im uncertain what to do...buy super glue and try to fix or file for the insurance lol!
My current job...well its nice having a job once more working graveyard is making it extremely difficult to rebuild the social network stuff. Most of those I use to talk to and hang with are active only during the hours of my work shift. And with working nights Im stuck sleeping for most of the day. Its proving difficult finding anyone interested in emailing...Seems everyone is stuck on instant messenging.

Need some car advice
General | Posted 14 years agoIm thinking about selling my 1994 Geo Prism (97000 mileage), question is should I bother getting it repainted or sell as is? Im the orignal owner yet had it for a while now and kind of wanting something newer. One problem is minor things are breaking and I know very little about cars so tend to have to look to someone else for these repairs.
I replaced the head liner already so thats solid, those things seem to fail first on a car.
The hood, roof and the truck top have spots where the bare metal is showing.
Lost the right turn signal not sure why yet to take it in to the shop as such seems a minor issue. I just had to replace the bulb for the left turn signal so thinking the person possibly messed the wiring some how.
Clock does not work.
Lock for glove compartment broke.
Dome light does not work.
Outside door handle broke, getting that fixed today.
So should I bother with getting it repainted? Looking at the price guide Im not too sure a paint job will affect my sale price by much. I would simply keep the car if I was more knowledgeable about the repair work and could do such myself.

The meaning of Fur Affinity?
General | Posted 14 years agoBeen thinking about moving to inkbunny or sofurry for sometime now. Why? Because I want a furry art site that has furry art...I simply dont wish to look at humans and such. Plenty of other sites just for humans and such so why do people keep posting humans here a place that is clearly labeled "Fur Affinity"?

General | Posted 14 years agoConan the Adventurer, oh the memories
General | Posted 14 years agoUse to watch this cartoon and am very happy to see its being released on dvd. What makes this series interesting to furries? One of Conan's traveling companions Greywolf the wizard has a run in with a werewolf spell. Cant give away too much for fear of ruining the surprise. However unlike most stories involving werewolf themes this one is very positive. At of the series even focuses on the wolves stressing the former humans like being wolves ::grin::

General | Posted 14 years agoBeen feeling kind of bla as of late, finding it hard to keep going with the projects. As of course to write I have to be in the mood..to feel the flow. Funny enough when I have a companion I find it easy writing up an role play story...Yet its sadly not too often I find someone who is a good match for me. My writing moods can come and go so quickly. Just seems its very rare to find anyone truely creatative. People who post page long profiles often seem unable to give full sentence replies. Irony? Perhaps so.

I must admit I had my misgivings about reading a book with pigs as the main characters. However Im enjoying the book so far, just read the first chapter. I got to meet the author at Anthrocon. Funny enough I became aware of this book by random chance when I replied to a question Nick posted to the Anthrocon forum. I was a bit unsure about the book but found Nick to be a very interesting person to chat with. So far Im liking the book as it has alot of back ground characters who happen to be of many different races.

Black Dogs
General | Posted 14 years agoCurrently reading Black Dogs part two The Iron Mountain which is a funny choice of title sense Im half way finished and they are no where near the Iron mountain in the story world. First let me point out for those of you who have read the first Black Dog book by Ursula Vernon her second book is vastly different from the first one. How is it different well book two has by far more furryness if you will pardon my making up a word. Two transformations as well happen in the book, which are of note as they put two main characters on all fours for a short time. I enjoyed the canine transformation but it really did not last very long, which was disappointing because I enjoy reading anothers take on the change of a characters prospective.
For those interested you can easly ignore book one which is more a kids book and go right to book two which is more adult in many ways and much more furry in the content. However the author struggles alot with the details often telling instead of showing which could possibly be a matter of writing style.
