Well, with things finally cleared up (anyone who tells me the government runs efficiently in the private sector after this is getting punched in the teeth.) I finally got the last of my equipment up to my apartment. now, to finish a few of my drawings, get back into the groove of it, I should have a couple things uploaded by the end of the week!

I didn't expect my uncle to be in this much trouble. I also didn't expect him to be in so much trouble that I had to make such an urgent relocation here up north and start working the day I arrived.

As of now my whole techy artisty everything setup is currently dismantled and awaitig reassembly in a buffle bag. My scanner, sketchbooks, drawing tablet, and only a handful of my art are here. my artwork is mostly in the hidden stash back at my folks place. (yes, lived with parents. Only because my previous job was within half hour drive and it saved me from paying monthly rent, ok?)

So look, I know I keep promising 'soons' but it's hard to keep those promises when everyone I'm just getting back into it and ready I get a slider curve all from real life? Here's how I'm going to do this: I'm going to set up my 'art station' in my new little room at my uncles. At the same time I'll be working for my uncle as a designer, which is reasonable hours but will be fucking hell due to my predecessor being a complete incompetent ass. We're backed up on weeks worth of jobs, many of which are do within the next few days, so I'm sorry but helping my uncle get this off the ground is imperative and my top priority. BUT! When I'm off work, I'll have a few hours a night to get my personal art done and scanned (assuming i can organize this dinky little room tetris style to accomodate everything...) Luckily, the art I currently have is my most recent stuff, so certain people will be seeing their promised art soon.

Look, I'm truly sorry my updates are being constantly delayed over and over. Art may not be coming quickly, but it IS getting DONE.

Ps: Internet is skitsy here. My pops is sending a newer router model for the house, so hopefully that will give me a more solid net connection. If its not that, then its my wireless adapter that needs a kick in the pants.

So, my surgery went well, and I'm recovering well. As for a job, my uncle is starting up his own little printing shop up by lake Michigan and wants me to work for him! ^^ now it's not far off, so I'll be home periodically. Maybe work about mon through we'd and come back thurs through sat and leave on Sunday. Do that till full time...

Now, art. Yes Yes, I KNOW. I promised updates and havnt yet delivered. But now that rl has finally taken turns for the better, I'll be able to get to finishing some long (and I mean ungodly long) Overdue gifts! And km using the upcoming
Ing events as arbitrary deadlines to get stuff done, so just a little longer folks!

Oh and I'm also now in possession of a tablet, so expect some new (and likely horrid) attempts at new digitally made art.

well, june 27th. hit the bit 22. -sigh- with all the goings on it hasn't been exactly as... 'upbeat' as I had hoped. Lately I'm just finding it hard to get enthused about things anymore... lost nearly all my art that I was going to upload (as it was predominatly digitaly done) no job, unemployment is a fucking hassel, my funds are running out as I need to pay for my car and various bills for phone, net, ect...

I'm tossing around the idea of starting to take commisions. paypal, of course. as well as setting up a brand new account with a new name that doesn't seem so... "lurkery", y'know? seriously, this name just sounds like a stalkers name.

just so y'all aware... if anyone reads these...

everythings gone. my art that I was working on. all of it. months of 3D work, flash work and artwork. stuck in a void.

THIS is why I fucking HATE MAC COMPUTERS! they fucking FAIL at the simplist of tasks, crash all the time, and don't even let you know when something is drastically wrong!!

first, I get laid off. not my fault, worked at a printing company and the economy is so bad, nobody has money to advertise anymore. work just got too slow. so they let me put my work on cds. so I zip them, and burn them. but this mac I had to use as my work comp, was shit, ok? so just to make sure it worked, i tried to unzip them from the files. now, I'd already gotten rid of everything else because they were rushing me. and NEITHER unzip.

so, I decide oh, I'll just unzip the originals and burn those onto a cd! so, I try to unzip. the first one, the 2.6 gig file with all my misc funny things and random images, opened fine. the OTHER, the one with MONTHS of work, fucked up!

so, I call my manager over, and ask him to try restore a backup. turns out, da dadaaa! the fucking thing has been crapped out for weeks! and never mentioned it! it was plugged in, but apparently weeks ago a backup failed and it hadnt made attempts since! so to resolve it, it wiped itself clean! NOTHING was on it!

we put it on the server, try another computer. now, this is 2.4 gigs of stuff, k? still doesn't work. but I HAVE to leave now cuz the managers are gone! so, there I am. out of a job, and months of work went down the shit hole. space frigats with half finished interiors, my prized project: teddy bear dragon. all of it, just STUCK on a cd, that has a full 2.4 gigs used up, and NOBODY to this day can fucking open!!!!

so, it's perfect! just as all my dreams were coming together: job transfer, back to school, moving out, all about to happen. I even found appartments for 450 a month with paid utilities! right between the other company location and ITT Tech!! I would have made it! AND have it made!

but no. fucking, NO. all gone. done. burned. stemmed.

I'm sorry, but that new art will have to wait.

... oh, but the private sector is doing FINE, he says...he's creating JOBS, he says... so why the FUCK am I, and half the people I know, jobless and losing their jobs?! HUH?!?

To all of you who have been patient and waiting, I have good news of great joy, which shall be for all my watchers. Today, in the mind of this artist, inspiration has been born again.

Upcoming in the next month are going to be arts featuring some familiar characters that are great friends of mine, who have encouraged and complimented me for so long about the art I do that I self loath. Soon, a large amount of art shall be uploaded! I look forward to finally exposing myself to some outside views of art! I just hope it's good enough to quantify all the waiting you all have been doing...

Also, a special treat I'm working on... I can't wait to present it! And I'm sure you all will love it... Heh, for once I'm sure of something.

as you can see, the title says it all. (lawl, see what I did there?) i have indeed kept to my word and begun uploading my collected landfill of art. of course, I didn't have a scanner for a while, so i'm using screenshots to reference what I have and havn't posted. also, those are all very very poor quality.

so, I'm uploading arts, yes. but considering there's so much of it, and so much to touch up, and so much to scan, ect ect, it's going to take a while. so, don't get your collective tails in a knot (anyone who's watching me or reads these blasted things, lol) there's stuff coming. some personal stuff that is crossing the lines of my rl-shown work, and online only work... *dramatic music*

my only hesitation is that anyone I've met irl, or knows me, that has seen the art I've shown them will see my uplaods and go "heeey.... OMg I know HIM!! O.o awkward moment silence?"

gonna play some things out of the pile of new games I just bought... skyrim, ult. MvC3, Halo anniv., assassins creed revelations, saints row 3, MW3, ... ect.

I had a snap recently... sense of identity. I'm not the brightest person in the world, to be bluntly honest, and I just had the realization that I might help myself out if I had a better sense of identity... something to motivate myself, a name that people can recognise...

in other words, I feel anonymous. I mean, Lizardman975? the hell. I don't know what the heck i was thinking when I came up with that... I mean, in my RL safe comics, (name held) is basically a representation of me, and his fellow characters are all slices of my personality! (that was an epiphany I had a few years ago when I looked back on my comics startig out... each different color character had their own recurring personalities! like, red was the devious one, purple was the ho-hum fellow, blue was the nieve one who everything kept happening to... you get the idea)

I think in essence, I'm having an identity issue... or "lack of identity" issue...

if anyone has a moment, could you please reply to this and try to inspire a name? I'm trying to give myself one that can be recognised... something less "on the side" kind of person... something Jeryk, or... Pyren, or... Treyen, even!

fear not, anyone who's got a watch on my name... I'm still around.

though, as you're probably aware, I'm having what is probably the WORST case of artists block... it's been going on for... (insert time since lasst upload). yeah. that long. I've done art since then, but... I'm just not satisfied with anything I do on a personal level.

that, and I'm insanely paranoid about my art being up online... where any jokes or things I put out there could be copied, or stolen... that, and I personally think all my work is poor in comparison to the artists I follow/friends. I can't get faces right, can't get hands right... I've got a large folder filled with half finnished art...

and I know what alot of you will say. "but we think your art is great! you do great stuff!" even one of the great artists personally told me (via chat, not face to face) that he thinks I could be one of the greats. and as much as I think he may be right, I lack a serious case of ideas, and motivation.

I'm a hard core game fan. I like putting my main character (name not given to avoid overlap with RL safe displays, please understand...) in COG armor, or in Armored Core... or Force Unleashed...

I'm VERY imaginative. my heads exploding with ideas, jokes, horrible puns... but I can never get them corectly transisted from my brain to paper! it NEVER comes out right and the drawing is trashed.

I really do appreciate anyone still sticking with me... still watching and what not. someday soon, I'll get the cahonies to finnish a few things, and post them online. soon... soon....

I'm not going to lie... I'mma very, VERY lazy person... I can always come up with something in my head, but I just never seem to get to bring myself to do arts! Maybe it's my environment, or personal issues, or lack of decisivness, or maybe even lack of self confidence, I'm struggling with bringing myself to touch the pencil to the paper!

I've got a whole SATCHEL full of unfinnished images!! ><

everyone watching me, I appreciate your watches, your faves... I know that most my art is pretty lousy... I'm working to fix that! and as soon as this new scanner comes in, i SHOULD, not 100% sure, but odds are I'll be getting most of what IS finnished uploaded.
