Life has been everywhere but online. Between being in the hospital twice last year with long downtimes and personal life troubles I have been away for a while. I'm sorry. Insurance stuff finally got sorted and they arent going to cover it. So looks like its out of pocket for me! *cries*

So August has been a huge source of stress for me and its all hitting a point now that its September.
For those who are unaware, I’m trans. I don’t like broadcasting it on my tumblr/ irl because I get stupid and paranoid that it will shatter some sort of illusion that people might have about me or something.
Anyway- i’ve had top surgery uhh 4 years ago and scheduled for a hysterectomy the 9th of this month. AWESOME YAY!!! My insurance runs out the my birthday this year Oct 8th so GREAT JUST IN TIME! BRILLIANT BIRTHDAY GIFT!!!!!

Paid out of pocket for top surgery but hysterectomy is WAY too expensive so was hoping insurance would cover it. I’ve been on testosterone for a lil under 2 years and have the super fun time of coming from a really cystie family so developed them quickly while on synthetic T. and is none too fun. Around a woman on her period for more than 30 min? AWWwwwyeah getting stabbed in the stomach- BINGO!
Bit jealous tho. Went for ultrasound to submit to insurance to show them and Shy got to see my insides! @ v @ Needless to say- paperwork and given the run around for every possible reason has dragged it out and now I’m not scheduled until the 23rd. RESCHEDULED BUT NOT SAYING IF THEY WILL COVER IT YET OR NOT. *flips table* If they do cover it- how much? (but hysterectomies run btwn 20-30k for a ballpark)

If they don’t? What then?
SOooooooo rescheduled surgery means- IF IT HAPPENS- I wont be able to go to AWA. After surgery is 2 days in the hospital and then pretty much next day Shy n friend Liz are headed down to AWA. Shy will still be selling our stuff and Liz will be helping so stop by, please please please! As far as myself if all this goes through there’s no way I can go but need Shy to because well- Cons are pretty much our job and w/o it I wouldn’t be able to have this done/ cover anything that insurance doesn’t.
I’m really overwhelmed, stressed and depressed over the whole outlook.It would just be great if I knew if things were happening or not but its pretty much been strung along form one week to the next and giving me the run around. One hand- surgery! YES FINALLY AWESOME. But I wont be able to see my mom, friends or help out at the con. Other- surgery doesn’t go through and I just lay on the ground and give up.
Even though i’ll be sad about missing out on AWA- I’m still holding out for that option of course.

Thanks for putting up with me and cross your fingers I guess. Its the most I can hope for. Please if you’re in town for AWA stop by! Shy will have all the usual stuff as if we were there together and if this all doesnt go through maybe i’ll be there too. Depressed. Curled under the table whinge’n under the table about healthcare and cysts.

Just a word to any of those interested my wife is taking some commissions!

So we'll be sharing a full table somewhere in artist alley if anyone wants to stop by and get somethign from us or just say hi n chat us up @ v @ both are fine and looking forward to!
