Looking for artists to commission
Posted a month agoHiya!
I wanna try something a bit different for once and commission another artist for once. The occasion is my upcoming birthday.
I would like to comm an artist that meets these conditions:
-knows bird anatomy well such as how feathers are arranged on wings
-makes good anthro birds
-draws nsfw/willing to draw nsfw
-draws good humans
-has made comics before
-knows about at least 1 transformation fetish
I'm willing to pay pretty pennies :3

Updating my tags
Posted 4 months agoWith the update that removed an important filter, I have decided to in response update my tags.
Most of it will be for searchability. However, my effort is going to be imperfect. If there are any pieces you wish was easier to search for, do tell me what I could include for tags.
One thing I've decided to do is include a tag of my own username. This is so that if there are users who do not want to see my art, they can easily exclude me from searches. Similarly, it also makes finding my pieces easier.
"Local_Custard" is for non-sexual pieces. "Local_Butters" is for anything sexual or nsfw.
Local_Custard is my normal username. Local_Butters is another username I use, as you see. Local_Butters is primarily a username I use when I want to mostly separate my fetish content from my regular art. Though, I haven't logged onto my other account in a while so there is a good chance this will be the account I post to for a long while.

Gender Filter Gone?
Posted 4 months agoHiya, I return, this time with a bit of confusion about this website's update.
What happened to the gender filter? No genuinely, where did it go? I also did some looking and apparently it is gone for new uploads as well.
This update feels rather reductive. As a trans guy, I like looking for art featuring trans masc people and trans men because I feel seen and I like porn more when it features someone like me in this regard (granted, I like men in porn in general). The lack of gender filter will make my search a bit harder.
To illustrate this, I might look up trans + man. However, this could very well still bring me any number of trans identities beyond the trans man category because it is two words, thus the search results will include any piece that includes both tags "trans" and "man". Meanwhile, having it be one word (transman), include dashes between (trans-man), or an underscore (trans_man) will more than likely make my search results more niche and much narrower, making it more than likely I miss many, many pieces. The lack of gender filter also highlights an innate thing about this site: a lot of people do not tag their pieces and a decent amount tag their pieces wrongly (ex. ftm on tftg mtf pieces). The former just means it is harder to filter out the miss-tagged pieces. In the latter case, that makes finding said pieces even harder, especially if the poster takes no effort to properly include filters. There are pieces that have no tags and filters, for example. On this website, that means it is really, really hard to find them, especially if they are older than a day.
Removing the gender filter only compounds this problem especially for niche categories. I've complained in the past about how this website can be rather user unfriendly (I've deleted them a while ago, however). The tag blocks are useful, but it doesn't feel like enough. Like I've said, not everyone tags their submissions. For one, you can still favorite pieces from people you block. Hell, you can still comment on their pieces and access their page. Blocking does not even remove their art from searches or categories. All of this defeats the purpose of blocking users. If FA were to implement a better blocking system, having it be multi-tier would likely be ideal to grant users better control over their own curated experiences.
This also highlights the headache it can be to find pieces on this website. I wish there was an ability to save searches, for example, to revisit so that I don't need to manually add "-[user]" 20 times to remove all of the pieces I do not want to see because said users cannot be assed to tag their shit properly.
Furaffinity very well might be heading in the direction of becoming less usable if they remove more filters. I am definitely not the only one thinking of this update, I looked on twitter and bluesky. I also saw a new comment under an old journal entry about this.
Perhaps I am screaming into the void in which case I might delete this later down the line. If anyone is reading this, what are your thoughts?

Learning to 3D model, expect a post in the near future!
Posted 5 months agoI'm learning to 3d model and thought to make a journal entry about it ^_^
What am I making? shhh it's a secret! It is sfw so if you have followed me for my nsfw content, hold tight. Smut is something I only make when inspired, unfortunately.
So with that out of the way, what have I been up to?
I've been drawing a lot of dragons. I've made a few this month and will continue to. The dragons will be accumulative and will be found in a new medium I'm learning :3
Due to how I'm keeping my projects super secret, it might be a while before I reveal the fruits of my labor.
What have you been up to this month, reader? Do you have any ongoing/new projects?

Still alive
Posted 10 months agoLong time no post! I am still alive at least. I am writing this as a small update on my art.
I have been dedicated my art to a personal project. I might not post for a while as I work on it until I feel more satisfied. A lot of it so far has been cartography as I work on the maps very slowly. I've just finished the topology of an island and then the climate. I am just now working on a basic spread of biomes as I move closer to the final stages of the island map. The island is like Madagascar in that it has a large variety of climates. The more in depth biomes will be even more interesting.
Besides the map making aspect, the fauna will be worked on. Fauna includes people and I have some sentient species in the works including one you may have seen me draw. I have some iterations and reworks down the pipeline to work on which is another reason why I haven't made tf art in a while.
Anyways, thought to write this for anyone reading this.
