Been a while since I've posted a Journal here.

As for life updates no huge changes really, still doing the dumb skunk thing and working on getting art out regularly along with occasional side projects. As of now I still am not open for commissions because I'm just not quite set up for it but I'd like to possibly do more stream sketch commissions or something in the future, still a work in progress! Regular cons are on hold for me for a bit as well due to being away, but I'll be back to them in the future!

Finally regarding the recent news: It's obviously been hitting everyone hard, myself included. Please take the time you need to recover and know there's a whole community of people ready to support. Be there for your friends, help out where you can, we need us all here for each other! Find ways you can organize and build communities, explore new hobbies where you can, and keep being weird! We have to be resilient as best we can and fight for each other.

I'll be getting back to my regular art posting as much as I'm able to!

Just wanted give a quick update here! I apologize about the lack of regular posts, just been dealing with a move, job stuff, life stuff, and everything in between. I do have a backlog of art that I'll be posting intermittently here to catch up though!

Things have been going okay overall here! Just a lot that's been going on the past few months. A few rough things, but thankfully good things too! Overall looking forward to work on some new art ideas and shenanigans, so stay tooned!

Okay it's been a while since I've updated things here! (Unsurprisingly)
Big incoming heap of art that I haven't gotten to post yet so stay tuned for that! I'll try to get better at uploading art as I do them here.

Just a quick update on things here! I've been doing well overall despite everything going on in the world. I'm back in the US after being abroad for the past 2 years or so, and it's been great being close to my friends back home again, not to mention on similar timezones at least.

I'll still be continuing to post here when I can and keep things updated with art as my main gallery, but just as a reminder I also am on twitter LockheedSkonk and tend to upload art faster there! Finally, I just want to say thank you to everyone for supporting me and my art here, it's always really fun making things for everyone to see and I love the feedback! I hope everyone continues to stay safe during everything going on this year!

Woo another spin around the Sun!

2019 was actually a pretty okay year for me overall. I've been bouncing around the globe the past 2 years or so, got a ton of travel in, met a lot of great new friends and I'm possibly changing jobs soon which is gonna be pretty wild!
It wasn't without it's bumps for sure, including some that still are very much still stinging, but I'm looking forward to what 2020 brings along!

Artwise I'm looking forward to trying to increase my output. I'm hoping to be more productive this year and try and prevent myself from getting stagnant, whether it be through doing daily sketches or occasionally streaming commission sketches, or trying out new techniques and subjects to draw, either way I'm looking forward to it.
I very very very much want to open for commissions here properly, which is something I constantly procrastinate on, but this year I really want to try and open for at least a few slots!

Cons: Up in the air! Originally I had a better plan of which ones I was gonna be able to make this year but that got shaken up a bit with work, but I'll be sure to keep things updated on twitter and here on where I'm able to go! At the very least I'll be trying to make MFF once again!

Thank you to everyone who's supported me these past few years, I don't know if I really express it enough but I truly do appreciate it from all of you. Here's to another fun year!

Hey Folks!

Well given that it's almost been a year since I've posted a Journal here...figured it's about time

Still alive and still doing art and all! Life's been all over to say the least, currently abroad for work which has been a wonderful experience, definitely missing everyone back home though.
Just a heads up I am planning on trying to make it to MFF and TFF this year for anyone attending, so if ya see a dumb red nosed skunk bouncing around don't be afraid to say hi!

Okay...so I realized I hadn't actually updated much here in quite a while so I figured I should dump a bunch of art in! That always helps.

Back from TFF! This is a little late

What a fantastic con, I really love TFF because it's relatively small in comparison to others, which gives me a lot of good quality time to hang out with a few groups of friends rather than running around with my hair on fire. I had an amazing time with everyone and the new hotel is excellent. There were still some folks I was still wishing I could spend more time with but there's always other times! I was at least happy to finally get to meet them in person!


That will possibly be my last con for the year (barring any changes) as I head on to Korea for my next assignment soon. I'm nervous but excited about it, I think it's going to be an incredible opportunity. THANKFULLY I'll still be in full contact with folks and still doing art, albeit a little more busy than I have been given the ops tempo over there. Only there for a year though! Then on to the next adventure.

Anyway just as a goal for this year I want to try and balance my art out a little more on here between squeaky stuff and....not squeaky stuff. Not that I'm tired of inflation work or anything I just don't want to scare anyone away with my gallery being just that!

HOLY lord that was one hell of a con

I had actually not been that excited for a convention in a long time and man it really lived up to expectations. I met so many awesome people, many of which I'd been dying to meet, and had an incredible time all weekend.

The only complaints I had were really my own damn fault (feeling meh two nights and having to hike the goddamn Appalachian trail to get back to my room at the Crowne Plaza) and the con organization and hotel/center were top notch (IMO)

I saw some really awesome suits this year, I'm honestly really amazed how many fantastic ones there were (and gosh it almost makes me want to get one now)

And seeing snow again was just the icing on the cake, It's been making for some awesome photos I keep seeing pop up!

Definitely going to try and make it next year, and I am really looking forward to the next con I can make.

Now that I'm finally settling down in Texas here I'm slowly starting to get back into actually doing some art, so I am looking forward to putting more out for 2016!

I'm also hoping to make it to a few cons this year but we'll see

Can confirm: Martian and Bridge of Spies were great

I hadn't read the book for Martian, but Matt Damon seemed to have a "Chris Pratt" vibe to him in humor and such (as was written apparently)

Bridge of Spies was practically a porno for anyone who loves watching a character in a movie just blast though bureaucratic bullshit with logic and the occasional snark. Very satisfying overall.
Plus the 1950s/1960s themes in both NY and Europe were really awesome to see.
Bonus points to it for some awesome U-2 action! Because those things are just so pretty

I recommend both if you guys get the chance!

Soooo I've been following this whole furry thing since, like, freshman year of High School. 7 years later and I figured it was about time to actually do something here.

For some reason, I kinda dropped it all when I got to college and kept it all at arms length (not that I had many stakes in it all anyway beyond watching artists)
But, after attending some equine-related conventions and hanging with some friends who were into this flying circus, I started to find myself looking into it more. I'm actually rather excited to participate in stuff this time around really.

Slowly getting back into drawing anthro stuff and trying to be a well-rounded art person. There may be the occasional pony piece that pops up here and there, but I'll do my best to keep it all mixed.

Currently eager to see where all this takes me, and hopefully I can make a few cons this year, but we'll see!
