Today, I got up bright and early, at 9am. WHY? Because I had stuff to do!!! AC IS ONLY 11 DAYS AWAY. I have my processes!

First, I got up, showered, got dressed in my junky work clothes and started organizing the junk in the back area. During all of this I got a call from my pharmacy, asking me if I needed to refill my prescriptions. These people MUST be psychic because I was going to refill them this weekend!!!

I did the garbage, drove to the dump and threw away a TON of crap I have been meaning to get rid of for months. Wood, old computers, scrapped broken equipment and a ton of old wires. I did not know this but I DO actually apparently have a closet in the back of my living room!

I came back to town, deposited my checks and my travel reimbursement and took out money for AC. Gotta have money!!! I paid off my credit card earlier this week, so I was already set with that. Cash for spending is the best thing to bring to a con, even IF people can take credit now with Square.

Stopped by the pharmacy and picked up my new inhalers and some Advil, Claritin and a bout a pound of beef jerky.

I went home and pulled everything out of my car that wasn't screwed in or bolted down. I then proceeded to detail every inch of the inside of my car for the next four hours. My car is showroom clean. I didn't know that I could get it that pretty. I took her out for a spin and got a wash to get all the grime and sand off. Wow. Amazing what a car wash can do!

I had lunch at Subway with my lady, who has been diligently framing and doing art. Just look at my favorites!

Bought an EZ-Pass, made an appointment to get my leaky tires fixed, and NOW....

Now I am getting a load of laundry ready. I'm packing tomorrow, none of this chump packing the night before. I'm gonna have *new socks* and *new undies* and *new shorts*. YOU WON'T RECOGNIZE ME! (given you regularly see my in just my undies etc etc.)

I SWEAR someone suggested this to me. I didn't want to think of it because at the time AC was about 9 months away. However, now that we're about two weeks away, the idea has come back to me.

I have done some research and http://www.pennbrew.com/ and http://www.eastendbrewing.com/ are two highly rated breweries/brewhouses a short ways away from the convention center. I'd like to go out to these and see them during the near week we're going to be in Pittsburgh. If anyone would like to join up, maybe I can make some reservations or at least find out what's good for everyone. If not, I will probably just drag along a few friends.

Any locals around that can give me first hand accounts?

To do:

Car: Oil change + Tire rotation + Cleaning out the trunk and cabin or pretty much any and all work equipment and crap.

Clothes: Get some new shorts, maybe some new shoes (I don't want to end up with bloody shoes now do I?) HAVE to buy *new* socks for the con. I swear this is my secret, I always have brand new socks to wear at cons. It's heaven.

A/V: Back up my laptops data and remove private info. Clear up some space and update Pidgin, Skype and all that. Double check chargers for 3DS, Phone, GoPro, iPad and Laptop, the Car DC/AC converter, stereo AUX cable and all the USB cables. All of them.

Fursuit: Clean and check all parts and props. Find a costume/outfit besides the tired old hoodie and cargo shorts getup. Find out the theme for this year... the Fats and the Furrious? OK. I guess I can work with that.

Coffeebox: Stock up on k-cup boxes, sweeteners, paper towels, 100 crystal light drink mixes and disposable coffee cups. Clean the dickens out of my Keurig.

Boooooooze: Buy booze. Going classy this con. Whiskey, scotch, bourbon. Also, Jenkins Peppermint Schnapps for hot chocolate and Baileys for coffee! Wine for Thursday night on top of the con center. :3

Wildcard: Crazy stuff is know to happen from time to time, so I always make sure to prepare for the worst. My road kits is stocked with flat fixer, spare fuses and even a road atlas, in case all of the GPS satellites explode. A case of vivarin is handy in case things go really bad, and I have to stay up for DAYS to fend off coyotes. *cough*

Edit: Also, anyone know any hookah parties going on. I should mix up some shisha and/or stock up prior.

I've been an avid bike rider since I was a kid. As most of you are probably aware, I am a giant mountain of flabby gelatin. I rode my bike regularly last summer, putting about 350-ish miles on it, which is about 5-10 miles a day. Over the winter I rode my trainer and did more upper body work, trying to get my arms and shoulders to not look like giant pale sausages. I also walked regularly, but I hate walking and it does nothing for me other than give me shin splints. About two months ago, I took my bike in for a tuneup, restocked on some basic equipment and hit the road. I've been loving it and even have a regular route up a huge hill to pick up after work most every day. I've been doing between 8-10 miles a day, most weekdays and about 5-10 on the weekends, since the end of March.

I'm riding a Raleigh Venture. My standard gear is kept in a cycling backpack and includes: a spare tube, tire levers, patch kit, CO2 inflator and spare CO2 cartridge and a bike-specific "rescue" tool. I also carry my cell phone, a first aid kit, rescue inhaler and a 1W flashlight light that can be mounted on my handlebars. The backpack can be equipped with a water bladder, and currently holds a Platypus 2L system. My helmet is in good condition and I also wear a pair of biking gloves, to protect my hands from trees/bugs/pavement. All pretty standard stuff, but it's kept my rides low-stress and high-safety.

Since March, I've also lost a bunch of weight. I'd say I feel better, but that's probably the ibuprofen, multivitamins and green tea speaking. I've been sleeping a lot better and have been feeling more focused at work, so there is that. I also actually look forward to my bike rides, it's not some chore I have to do. I genuinely enjoy getting out on the trail or back roads and just going. Having a GoPro also makes going on rides feel more like an adventure! Now I just have to edit together some videos. >.>

SO  SheppyMomma and I got home from the picnic yesterday and realized we have brought our cameras but had not taken ONE SINGLE PICTURE. AAUURGHRGRHGH. PLEASE, if anyone has any pictures *SHARE THEM* with the Furry Picnic group or twitter or whatever. Seriously, they did an awesome job.

Not gonna make this a huge journal, but thank you Kais and friends for putting on such an amazing even in such a short amount of time. Too bad about the rain!

I usually don't get very excited about cons.... in fact I am usually morose about going to cons and really really most of the time, don't have a very cheery disposition till I am at least a few drinks in at my first room party. However, I dunno, I feel like I'm really really raring to go to this one.

There are gonna be sheps, awesome noms, lots to do and see... tons of time to fursuit and generally be a derp sheppy. I got a nice new lens for my camera, and a nice 'new" laptop and a nice new fursuit. I'm not even really planning much of this, I'm just along for the ride for once! Eeeee...it's going to be my first real vacation in a long time.

Greetings New Englanders. Furry Weekend Atlanta (FWA) is coming this weekend. I know a whole bunch of you can't make it as I myself cannot.

HOWEVER.

I have limited space at my place to crash and already have several people coming for a Not-at-FWA Party. My place is drug-free, has lots of birds and plants, with a decent internet connection and is walking distance from downtown (which is awesome)! We MIGHT fursuit to sushi one night... JUST SAYIN. Anyway, if you are free and want to come, reply to this journal, just be aware there is limited space. Otherwise, it's ST. Patrick's day on Sunday so, wild and crazy AND MAGICAL things cna happen all weekend. We will probably be watching Darby O'Gill and the Little People and drinking single malt scotch whiskey.

If I started telling everyone I have seen making asinine comments and having kneejerk reactions recently, how utterly wrong and stupid they are being, I would never ever finish. This makes me sad. Very very sad.

32 years ago, something terrible happened. The 80s started. Then I was born almost 11 months later. Earlier that year, The Empire Strikes Back was released. Mt. St. Helens erupted. There were record tornadoes, a heat wave, drought and actual famine. (no I'm not kidding) Oh, and John Lenon was shot and killed.

Pretty much a harbinger of death and destruction.

People got back to me, thank you all for taking time out of your holiday to help me out. All everyone needs to know is that the issue was resolved, and I will be reposting the last picture with the final product, because I really don't feel like rewriting three journals.

So three pictures of this years batch of the beer I made for Furfright got removed from my gallery. I'm not gonna be a dick, these pictures were of something I had made... albeit I didn't grow the yeast, barley and hops..or blow the glass for the bottles or hell, even make any of the equipment that I showed being used to make beer. So my fault and obviously, this KryphosDrgn person has a way better grasp on what exactly is in the TOS/AUP than someone that was there when it was originally made and regularly helps to enforce it.

PPS: I'm holding off on really doing anything about this yet. It's Thanksgiving, and I'll probably just casually mention it next time I see people online in a day or two.

moved up almost 6 months ago. I couldn't ask for a sweeter, smarter, more patient and caring partner in life. She has seriously pulled me out of a lot of funk, been there for me when I needed to bitch about something, supported me in ways she didn't even know she did. I can imagine my life without her, but it is a bleak and bleary existence without a lot of sheppylady fluff.

In the last 6 months, we've gone on hikes and walks and biked around, she's gotten two teaching jobs (at the same time!!!), been GoH at a con, walked around my hometown with me in our fursuits at the pumpkin festival, had a blast at Furfright, been OCD about some stupid video game with me, drank my beer, chased my birds, setup a huge fishtank, cooked me dinner about...three times (:3) and kept me warm during the cold nights except for her chilly paws which I assume will be the point of origin for the heat-death of the universe someday.

We plan on going to more cons in the future, hiking Mt Monadnock, getting another fishtank maybe, losing weight, getting epic loot and eventually taking over the world with our robot army.

I got there Thursday, unpacked my stuff, moved into my room and wandered around the hotel until 1-2pm ish. Fun!

Friday I woke up at 8, had oatmeal and coffee and got regged and then did the whole wandering around the con space more. I saw some people try and play The Match Game, while drinking about 4 gallons of leftover tea. Then there was some really loud music that made people so crazy they were punching and beating each other up. Weird. Then there was an awesome dance, then I wandered around until like 1-2pm and then went to sleep.

Saturday, I woke up around 9ish or so, got up, walked around a bit. My parents showed up at noon and stayed until like 5ish and we all had fun. Uhh. Then I did more stuff, wandered around and there was a loud thing going on in the ballroom that I avoided until there was another loud thing I think I went to for a little while. There were a couple parades sometime over the course of the weekend. I also had a big beer party thing in the room too I guess, like 100 people or something.

Sunday I woke up a little later like 10 cause I had a dream that the hotel was on fire and everyone had to go stand outside for like 2 hours. It was ok I guess, not the best dream I had. The good ones usually involve a larger scale "burning down" of things. I walked around the con sommore, won a raffle (or two? one and a half? Someone from Charity help me out here) and then went to closing cereponies. We broke out record for the charity (Insider information suggests the final count was far far far higher than 13k but I can't disclose this number as even it wasn't still the final number) and a bunch of fat hairy guys got ritually tortured on stage I guess? Anyway, then I walked around again and I ate some candy, watched Fritz the Cat and How to Stand Perfectly In Front of a Movie with Your Giant Backpack and Pot-belly. I had a V8 and went back to my room, had another smaller beer party, walked around sommore and decided I had been having far far too much fun all weekend and I couldn't take it anymore... so I drank myself into passing out, half naked, in front of at least three people I did not know.

I think there was something going on, because there wasn't anyone there on Sunday. It was raining a little so, maybe furries are made out of some kind of water soluble material I did not know about. Anyway, I would rate this Furfright "X out of X".

Apparently the Keene Pumpkin Festival will be the weekend *before* Furfright this year again! I live rightdown town and have awesome parking. I usually go out several times during the day because the festival changes from a family affair in the morning, to lots of people in the afternoon, to a all out street party at night. I am trying to get people to come up from PA, and am looking for anyone that would like to suit around my hometown.

I have limited space, parking and beer, but if you RSVP I can probably work something out. I'd be optimal to show up Friday and get up early Saturday to hit the farmers market and all the fun family stuff, and then go back over the day. Friday night sushi will also probably happen.

Please RSVP if you are interested in coming. Again, I only have so much space and a lot of it is already taken up with birds and plants and stuff.

So my car got broken into again. I had nothing of any value in it, except a metal detector and a $10 roll of quarters, my phone charger and a bunch of Weird Al CDs.

Apparently, none of this stuff was worth much... because I check out what was stolen, and well, the only stuff missing is my registration/insurance booklet and car manual from my glove compartment. The insurance slip in there was almost expired (and I have the new one in my backpack haha) and I re-register my car in November... What the hell?

The only thing I'm pissed off about is the manual. It had a well kept log of the oil changes I'd been making because that's what my grandfather did before he passed the car to me. God damned kids.
