Posted 8 years agoAnthronican's are a personal species of mine I came up with in the earlier years of my time in the furry fandom, and entire interplanetary race of humanoid animals, with an established government, culture, and economy. Some people have expressed interest in it, so I thought I would jot a few things down!
In the time Loki Rosen is alive, the Anthronican calendar is in the 490th century of the modern era, 5083 ME (Modern Era.) The Anthronican Alliance has spread to every planet in their solar system, and intergalactic exploration has become a massive undertaking for much of the race. Tech wise, the Anthronican race is highly advanced, with faster then light travel, hard light fabrication, and transmatter teleportation, global unification has been established, and most nations live in prosperity and peace.
Anthronican Anatomy, Physiology, and Biology.
The Anthronican race is diverse, and plentiful, the planet they live on being more than three times the size of the planet Jupiter, it is home to over three trillion, and many different sub-races, mammalian, reptilian, and avian. Physically, Anthronicans are similar to humans, bipedal, warm-blooded, (mostly) and carbon based. Most of the planet is alpine-like, making the most predominant sub-race of the planet mammalian, with wolves having the highest population count, close to a quarter of the entire population.
Coloring:
Coloration comes from the location the child is developed in, in forests, the coat will be more green and brown, while drier areas will give the Anthronican a lighter, more tan coloration. Rich minerals in the air, as well as an evolutionary necessity for self-preservation causes the odd color diversity.
Mating/Reproduction:
Anthronican mating is an odd subject, while most of the time, any form of sexual intercourse yields no young, several days a month, both male and female Anthronicans will undergo a 'Heat'. This heat drives the subject with an intense desire to reproduce, as well as a significantly high rate of fertility. As this can get in the way of every day life, many Anthronicans will take a chemical suppressant to lower the sexual desires, and allow them to go on with daily life as is needed.
Physical Traits:
Anthronican bones, in all sub-species, are very strong. High deposits of metal in the ground are absorbed while young, and infuse into the bone tissue, reinforcing them, and making them near unbreakable.
All Anthronican blood is a deep shade of black, and results in the Anthronican pass-time of sunbathing, letting them warm their blood streams in a pleasant manner, many times as a family or with a lover.
Anthronican Culture.
Relationships:
Much like humans, Anthronicans take a single mate for life, and perform bonding ceremonies to seal the pact between the two. Same sex bonding is highly accepted, and understood, and is only seen as a strengthening of an already strong bond between to people.
Instead of a girlfriend or a boyfriend, Anthronicans simply have a 'mate'. A significant other they are interested in romantically, weather it will end up lasting or not. Mateships can last anywhere from two months, to entire lifetimes, in varying degrees of intensity. When the two in question decide to take their relationship further, and preforming a 'Claiming'. A Claiming is a private, personal act of identifying your lover as your own, and no one else's. This is shown through either a bite or a claw mark; shoulders, necks, and backs are the most popular places for these to be places, and the scars remain for the Anthronicans remaining life. Usually applied during intense love making, Mates will inflict the wounds, and lick it clean, bacteria and cells on their tongues helping to seal the wound, and make the scar highly visible to the public around them. Once the Claiming has been completed, the couple may see a High Priest or Priestess about a bonding ceremony.
Bonding ceremonies are much like human weddings, held before a gathering of friends and family, and overseen by a religious authority. A speech is given, and the mates clasp their hands together over a ceremonial knife, and draw it back. Their blood mixes, and falls into a bowl of burning incense, which rises to the gods, who bless the Bonding. Necklaces, rings, earrings, or bracelets are popular baubles to signify the Bonding, and the mixed blood is often placed in a vial, and hung from a necklace, and given as a gift on the fifth anniversary.

LOOKING FOR HUMANOID ARTISTS!!!!
Posted 8 years agoIt's been a while, and I need a new ref sheet for my mate's trollsona! There've been too many changes, and it's way to hard to send like three pics and garble things up! If you know a good humanoid artist who does ref sheets and is open at the moment, please let me know! I wanna get this done ASAP so I can get back on the buying-art-train! Help a desperate wolf!!!!
Terra Formars
Posted 8 years agoSo, I found an Anime called Terra Formars, Sci-Fi/Horror/Comedy, weird combonation, I know, but it's awesome so far. The characters are likeable, as are the bad guys, the premise is whacky, and a little out there, but cool if you like Sci-Fi type things.
Pretty much, humans sent genetically engineered cockroaches to mars, made to terraform it, but the project failed, and the cockroaches were left to die. Instead, they mutated into hyperstrong humanoids, and sent a virus to Earth. The only way to make a cure, is to cultivate samples from mars itself, so NASA essentially makes super soldiers to get the job done, or earth will die.
I wont spoil anymore, but I love it so far, and I encourage you to check it out!

Burnt out
Posted 8 years agoI'm so very tired all the time, between working non-stop, never having a single day off to be with y girlfriend, trying to pass a drivers test, a rather unpleasant birthday, and a number of other things, I have come to the amazingly intelligent conclusion that I am depressed.
Sleeping has gotten pretty hard, even with the pills I take, and my social life is non-exsistant, work nine hours a day, come home, play Titanfall 2 or Overwatch, sleep, repeat. I'm sick and tired of it, but I seem to be stuck in a rut I can't get out of no matter how hard I push, and an over all, overwhelming sadness and distress doesn't make things easier, I just feel stretched thin, and wired. My eyes feel like they've been pumped full of lead, and so do my muscles, health issue keep popping up, and we're so short handed at work, I can never take a sick day without screwing over everyone in the shop. The physical labor part of my job isn't to trying, but the stress of working on something as important as a car can really get to me sometime, and the deep loneliness over never getting to see my mate is hurtful as well.
This has been a hard year, living on my own isn't easy, and the isolation can be very hard.
