We Always Respawn! (Another Update about Non-Updates!)
Posted 13 years agoHello, summoners.
kamunt here again. As it turns out, running a group that is rather large takes effort, and I wasn't expecting that. College has been chewing up my time and then some, and even the mood to play League of Legends has been slowly killed! Several people have offered to co-moderate the group (you know who you are), and I promise that I'm not ignoring your notes! I read every note I get, but part of this conundrum is that I have trust issues, especially regarding personal information. Yeah, that's a lame reason, but I'm only human...furry...you know what I mean. I appreciate the offers, but for right now, I've gotta hammer this all out myself, as well as working on things like personal deadlines so that I can provide more LoL-related news as it comes out. I just want to put this in public so that people can call me out if I continue to lag behind. :P
This is a pansy update, but I've been working slowly on watching everyone back and adding more people to the Summoner List that have been requesting it, at the very least. One thing I need to state, however, is that due to how annoying it is to work through shouts, PLEASE post all your summoner information on the Summoner List journal only! Mostly because it makes things easier on me!
Thank you all for being patient with me, and I am truly sorry for the corny journal title. This group is far from dead and will remain alive as long as League of Legends is! Demacia, etc.

Update about Non-Updates! / Comic LoLz Contest!
Posted 13 years agoLong time, no see, ey furry summoners?
kamunt here again. I won't feed you any extensive dramas or anything of the sort, but to summarize why I haven't been updating, I hit a massive slump in my life that has harshed my mellow pretty brutally. And then my computer broke just for good measure. So I have had neither reliable computer access nor the ability to even PLAY League of Legends. Gasp. So I'm working on building a new computer, and it'll be a good two weeks or so before that's up and running. The good news is that the 1,500 USD I'm plunking down on it should build one of the leanest, meanest gaming machines around (on top of being quiet and great for music production, which I also do).
It really isn't an adequate excuse, especially with a group that's expanded so rapidly. I'll do my best to at least watch everyone back, favorite some new art and respond to comments and questions and the like when I can. Updating the furry summoner list is going to be on hold for a little while while I try and get some motivation back and get my new computer put together.
However! I do have one update that is likely important to many of you! It may be a little late, but Riot Games is holding their first-ever Comic LoLz Contest!! Check the link here: http://na.leagueoflegends.com/news/.....c-lolz-contest The contest ends on Friday the 24th, but with how industrious you fuzzies are, I know you could pop out some award-winning stuff in that time or less! I thought I owed it to all you artists out there to let you all know what's happening. :) There are some rules to limit the fun, but y'all are a creative bunch. I'm sure you can manage! The prizes include boatloads of Razer gaming swag and tons of RP! If you get a comic done that you want to submit, throw up a link here in the comments section and show it off!
Sorry that this is a rather disappointing update. I'd still love to know what you all think about the latest champions, however. Darius, the Troll, Draven, the League of, Jayce, the Confused, Zyra, the Overpowered, Diana, the Shiny AND Rengar, the Furry have all been released since I've last updated, in addition to Katarina, Evelynn and Twitch getting their epic reworkings, and the release of the magnificent Pulsefire Ezreal! (All relevant Youtube links are in the text.) I could give you all an earful about every one of these champions (aside from Rengar, since the Kamputer blew up before his release), but I would love to hear what you all think of them. We've officially hit 100 champions as of Jayce's release, and there are only more champions on the way, as evidenced by Syndra's reveal. The Season 2 championship is on its way, as well. A lot of exciting things are happening on the Fields of Justice, and with any luck, I'll be here to keep you all updated! See you on the battlefield, fellow furry summoners!

Hecarim, Pt. 2 / SPECTATOR MODE! / Varus Update / HD League
Posted 13 years agoI was going to add "Electric Boogaloo" to the title but not only is that an overplayed reference, I also didn't have room.
kamunt here once more, this time with no college left to suck out his soul! We're had plenty of updates in the past month-ish since I last updated, so let's not waste any time getting to them!
First off, Hecarim. Hecarim hadn't yet been released as of last journal, but the update has come, and the 'taur is here to stay!
Strangely enough, I haven't been seeing very much of Hecarim on the Fields of Justice, despite the fact that he's a relatively solid champion. Pretty balanced all around, and his ganking potential is immense, especially with his ultimate. I've seen some sick combos where a Hecarim will use his speed-up ability, ult over and enemy champion to fear them, then ram into them to push them back into his laning partners. Fierce. But the Hecarim players I've been seeing are mostly pretty mediocre. Is it due to a lack of skill, or is he underpowered, or is his gameplay style just not very relevant in the current metagame (which I'm exceedingly tired of)? I've played him and I like him, but I'm not the most proficient at melee DPS champions. What are y'all's thoughts on him?
Next up is the long-awaited spectator mode! And boy, is it fancy. I was honestly expecting little more than just a time-delayed match, but all of the bells and whistles they've added are really impressive, in my opinion. It's so shiny, too!
So, what do you all think? I haven't honestly done much spectating...but a lot of my friends have spectated me! It's good for an ego boost, if nothing else. :P The few matches I have spectated have been fun though. The director thing is pretty darn cool. Makes me able to be lazy and still enjoy! I just wish the load time wasn't as big as if you were playing yourself.
Last but certainly not least is Varus, the Arrow of Retribution. When I compared Varus to Ashe last time, I wasn't ACTUALLY being serious, but he's got a slow, great range AND an epic crowd-controlling ultimate!
This guy is a big jerk, but I don't believe he's overpowered. He's just got a lot of great abilities. I'm not sure about giving him an ultimate that can snare an entire team, though... For a ranged carry, that's a little silly. Ashe is indeed the only other champion like that. CC is a valuable team utility, and on a ranged carry (and especially with such a large potential range) it's especially powerful. I've seen some great Varus players as well as some mediocre ones, but being able to land that Q is essential. And without a damage falloff, boy, does it sting! I fear the day someone starts putting Taric, Sion or Blitzcrank with a Varus at bottom lane. That powerful stun means it's all but impossible to escape a well-timed arrow from Varus, and Blitzcrank means that no matter where an enemy positions themselves, they are in danger of taking damage, since Varus' arrow travels through creeps. What do you guys think? I know a lot of people think he's overpowered, but you know what they say--any champion who kills you is overpowered. :P
Okay, I lied, this is last but not least: the not-so-rumored HD update for League of Legends. Summoner's Rift is getting a complete texture re-haul to bring it up to par with other MOBA games. I was linked some of the leaked photographs last night, but as I'm presently on my laptop, I'm unable to find them again. If anyone has the links, I'd be more than happy to throw them up here so you all can get a preview, too! I saw that Ashe is getting all-new textures, as well. While this doesn't really affect gameplay, it certainly will make things look more shiny. And furries love shinies, as we all know. :P
I've got a lot of updating to do on the furry summoners list, so I'll try and get to that as well as go through everyone's shouts! For now, this is
kamunt wishing you all some happy summoning! May your creep scores be high and your deaths be few!

Lulu's Long-Awaited Support / IPL / Hecarim / Penny Arcade!
Posted 13 years agoWe've got a lot to go through, so let's not waste any time! You've all said in the past that you would all love a new support champion, and I agree, and lo and behold, Riot answered with a dubiously adorable new yordle champion, Lulu, the Fae Sorceress!
Personally, I really like her. I'm not the best with her yet, but now that she's been given some time to balance out and people have had time to learn her, I think she's a welcome addition to the Fields of Justice!
Next up is definitely the IPL--the IGN Pro League! The intense tournament took place over the weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A., and you can catch the highlights here. Did any of you catch the coverage? I couldn't catch everything since I was on vacation half the weekend, but what I did catch was pretty intense. What did you all think if you caught any of the coverage? Did you have any favorites? Were you rooting for anyone? Did you think the commentators were douchecushions?
Hecarim. Oh boy, Hecarim. This guy is looking fierce, that's all I can say. And anyone who doesn't like hybrid champions definitely isn't going to like him. On the other hand, if anyone ever wanted to see Mordekaiser as a 'taur, well, here you go. Weirdos. I'll try to have a more timely update for this bad boy this week.
Last but not least, we actually have an additional champion reveal, one that we won't see for another few weeks, but lo and behold, who should be assisting Riot in this other than the incorrigible fellows Penny Arcade?! Check out the cool contribution they've made to newcomer Varus, the Arrow of Retribution, here! Does Ashe, one of the League's most widely recognized figures, finally have a counterpart in this shadow archer-looking fellow? Not to mention, for those who dug the Journal of Justice and League Judgments, finally, a new Judgment to satisfy your cravings for character craft.
This along with more gameplay changes in the future, including attempts to make Kayle be less awful and the ever-looming stealth rework, are certainly going to change the game in ways that I believe to be for the better. But I still have work to do on my end to keep this group going strong. I can't let laziness get the better of me. It's clear that a lot of you care about the game at least as much as I do, so I owe to myself and the rest of you to run a better group and build a better sense of community! As I may have mentioned before, there is a furry chat room on at least the North American servers, simply called "Furry". I'm set to log into the chat room at all times, although I'm admittedly not the most talkative of fellows in-game, and sometimes matches are even formed out of the scalies and fuzzballs that inhabit the room!
Which leads me to my next point, actually. Someone who's name sadly leaves me right now gave me the idea of trying to start some all-furry ARAM matches, ARAM being All Random, All Mid. It's a special type of custom game designed to just be a ton of fun, where everyone chooses a random champion in a custom game and everyone is forced to only go to mid lane. No jungling or nothing, and you can't go back unless you die! It's a silly and often fun game mode, and now that I'm learning more about better streaming, I'm sure it could even be streamed for anyone who would like to show up, maybe even with some Skype buffoonery! What would you all think of something like that? I sure think it sounds like a great idea! If you guys have any other suggestions or anything of the sort, leave a comment, or note me, preferably on my main account so I can read it sooner!
Thank you all for reading, and I hope you all enjoy your matches! May your kills be high and your feeders be few!
kamunt signing off for now! I leave you with one last bonus video, courtesy of Berin, whose user name I can't remember right now, either! This is part of the pain of being a programmer, and why it's no longer my career goal.

Fiora, the Grand Duelist + Why LeBlanc Needs a Nerf
Posted 13 years agoGreetings again, fellow furry summoners! Kamunt here once more with more updates and such! Just for a bit, I'll favorite more art and update the roster and whatnot in the morning since it's so late.
First up is Fiora, the Grand Duelist. So what do you all make of her? I saw her a few times after she came out, but now she seems to be kind of like Master Yi 2.0. About as squirrelly and every bit as easy to feed if underestimated. But as the video itself admits, she's very easy to shut down. I haven't tried her yet since she has yet to be free. Have any of you tried her? If so, what do you think of her?
Secondly, I'm sorry, this video is just too amazing not to share. This is the real reason why LeBlanc needs a nerf:
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!
That is all. Until next time, Bromacia.

MOVE ZIGGS / Nautilus Nonsense / Future Champions?
Posted 13 years agoHello again, fuzzy/scaly/feathery/whatnot summoners,
kamunt here again, trying once more to suck less at life. Let's get the awesome stuff out of the way first: ZIGGS!
Now, in my opinion, Ziggs is an extremely powerful champion. He puts out a lot of damage when played well. But, much like Cassiopeia, it's extremely easy to play him poorly, and thus make him entirely ineffective. What are your thoughts, if you've seen him or played him? I'll try him out when he's free (this week?) because I love mages with boombooms. Kassadin's purple bowling balls somehow don't compare to boombooms.
Coming up next, the reveal of Nautilus, the Titan of the Depths!http://www.leagueoflegends.com/news/nautilus-titan-depths-revealed EDIT: Champion Spotlight released! Also peep the latest patch notes (link), including the detailing of the complete Shen rework! Now he does even more damage for no reason--fun!
Now this guy looks awesome. His Q, Dredge Line, seems like a halfway point between Amumu and Blitzcrank's Qs, pulling him to an enemy and his enemy to him. Hopefully, we won't see any instances of Blitzcrank "double pull syndrome", as I've called it. It happened to me once, where an enemy Blitzcrank and myself grabbed each other at the same time and literally switched places. It was the most amazing second of my life. Who knows if that hold true with Amumu, or even now with Nautilus. Hilarious bugs aside, we're certainly getting a lot of tanks lately, aren't we? Leona some months ago, then Volibear, most recently Sejuani, and now Nautilus. No signs of a new support champion just yet, sadly. When was the last time we've gotten a new champion, anyway? If you count Orianna, then it's not THAT bad, but if your guidelines are more strict, then Karma is the most recent support champion...and she was released in January of last year. I wonder what the dealie-o is with that.
Speaking of which, that's my primary discussion question this time around. What do you all want to see with champions in the future? There's been a lot of tanks and some mage-y types, and even a new ranged carry in the form of Graves a few months ago. What sort of mechanics do you want to see? Perhaps something from Dota that has yet to see its equivalent on the Fields of Justice? Tell me what you think! Kamunt out.
P.S. Oh, also, bonus: The stealth rework is nearly complete. And Evelynn is getting her stun back. All that's left to rework is Twitch. I know that makes someone happy. Cough cough.

Jax Remake + Dodge Removal + Sejuani!
Posted 13 years agoSo, Jax was reworked finally, now that Dodge has been removed altogether. Along with it, Ninja Tabi has been changed (possibly for the better?), and Sword of the Divine has been removed altogether to be replaced with Ionic Spark. These are some massive changes to the game. Tell me, what do you think of these changes? Jax is no longer an unstoppable tanking machine that also puts out ridiculous damage, but Counter-Strike removed the random chance element it previously had.
In addition, with this new patch, Sejuani, the boar-rider ice lady joins Leona amongst the ranks of female tanks. She seems overpowered with a passive slow and ridiculous crowd control, but none of her abilities help her take less damage, making her less durable than other tanks that do. She's very interesting, to say the least, and not very fun to put up with, especially combined with her ultimate. The AoE stun is terrifying, to say the least.
A lot has changed about League of Legends recently. Summoners, do you agree with the Dodge removal? I believe Riot had rather sound reasoning for removing it, but Dodge was always something that was just part of the game. Did it necessarily have to be removed? Check out the rest of the patch notes, detailing more changes (like the third wave of Vayne nerfs) by clicking this link.
Kamunt, signing off for now!

Loadsaupdates!!!
Posted 13 years agoHoo boy, sorry about that y'all! College slowly sucked out my soul. But that's not what you're here to hear about! UPDATES!
The last time I updated was before Wukong, the Monkey King debuted as a champion. Since then, we've also gotten Talon, Riven, Xerath, Graves, Shyvana, Fizz, Volibear and most recently, Ahri. Of course, the groundbreaking Dominion mode has been added, to boot! Love it or hate it, it's changed MOBAs for good. Season 2 has started up and the game's mechanics have been updated in many ways. Dodge is slowly being phased out as a stat, meaning Jax will be getting a massive reworking. Gangplank got new character art. Sivir was also thoroughly reworked. Ranged AD carries were lightly nerfed and lightly buffed (most notably, Corki's Q is no longer entirely worthless). I could right a short essay about all of the changes
I will make sure to update this more often, and also perhaps stream games more often, but for now, discussion time: What are your favorite updates or changes to the game so far? And what do you take the biggest issue with? Is there anything that is nagging at you that Riot has yet to address, or perhaps addressed that you disagree with? And what would you like to see changed in the future?

ALSO, as pointed out by

DEMACIAAAA!!!
ALSO since I'm a derp and forgot the rest of the journal (EDIT:, by the by), what are all of YOU looking forwards to in League of Legends' future? Me, personally, I'm looking forward to a new map, perhaps something 4v4 in nature. I'm all for new champions, but I believe the new map should be top priority. HoN DOES have something like 6-7 maps, after all, compared to LoL's 2. But what do you want to see in the future of League? Share your ideas and let's start the conversation. :3
Kamunt out.
