$6 sketch commissions 44 and 1/4 [CLOSED]
Posted 15 years agoTHESE ARE NOW CLOSED. Due to overwhelming positive response, I wound up taking more than 5. If you didn't indicate interest before I updated this journal, check back another time, and thanks for looking! :)
This is probably the last round of this I do before the end of the year. I could always change my mind (being a liberated woman and prone to doing so of course tee hee) and offer another round, but I probably won't have time with the holidays coming up at the end of the month. ANYWAY.
I am again offering $6 pencil sketch commissions, similar to the sketches I've uploaded to my gallery recently. One character. From hips/waist up. PG-13!! Underwear is okay but nudity isn't. It's okay to request something like "Australia from Hetalia, as a wombat!!" or "my character Aloysius the fruit bat cosplaying as Sailor Mercury" or something, but otherwise no copyrighted characters/fanart.
You don't have to get a muscly dude, but I am probably the best at those.
HOW THIS WORKS: If you are interested, private note me here with your character description and any reference you have, and desired pose (if any). I will then note you back with my paypal address. As soon as the money goes through, you'll be given a position in the queue, and I will work on images in the order of payment, starting later tonight.
NOTE: YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE A PAYPAL SET UP ALREADY TO DO THIS.

WTF so a horse of mine died today.
Posted 15 years agoI have (or had) three horses that are currently staying with my parents at their place. Apparently, my younger mare had been a bit off her feed starting Saturday. My dad, who seems to have an uncanny sixth sense when it comes to animals, called the vet, knowing it must have been serious. She had a fever of 105 (101 is normal for a horse) and a high pulse. The vet thought it was some kind of pneumonia or other infection type illness, so she was given antibiotics and my dad was supposed to monitor her and give her a shot today. If she didn't get better, the option was to take her in to a vet to hook her up to IVs.
Today, my dad went down to the barn half an hour earlier than he was supposed to, for some reason, to find her thrashing around in her stall. He talked to her and stroked her until she calmed down (I'm not sure how she let him near him since she was kicking and such), and then she died, maybe five minutes after he got there.
I learned all of this today (that she was sick and that she died) within the twenty minutes after I got off work.
WTF. This horse was 17 and healthy, as far as anybody knew. A big, strong mare who has never been sick a day in her life. I have another horse who is 33, so I thought she'd be the one to go first. The vet thinks it might have been an aneurysm or stroke that finished her off, but still. Wow.
