My laptop has finally bit the dust... it won´t function no matter what i do.

i´ve been forced to use my 11 year old comp so ican only barely use a browser. i don´t even have a keyboard to use, having to resort to the mouse-driven digital one...

Hiya guys, just wanted to pop in and give fair warning. My vacation in the States is almost over, and with that a little hiatus in activity is probably going to occur after this weekend!

I still have one picture which is almost done, and another that I am literally burning down to try and finish before since I probably won't be able to work on anything/submit anything in a while. We'll see how quickly I can get my new computer. With luck I won't be gone for much longer than two weeks, and no-one will miss me. But it might take until October too, so hard to say. D8

Anyways, Thanks for all your support as always, I'm going to be missing the states and my girlfriend again for a year. /Cry

So yeah, my laptop is pretty much on it's last legs. It's been serving me faithfully for a loooong long time, but now it seems I'll need to venture into the hostile territory of finding a new computer, one that I could use bot hfor gamin gand artwork. This'll most likely be pretty expensive, so a lot of my money after I start work again in September will go towards that. Hopefully my laptop will stay with me until I can get my new comp. :/

As to artsies, I feel like I am suffering some major OCD when it comes to art. I have like... seven unfinished pictures that I am working on. I have one commission I am working on which has priority over the other ones, but I still like to work on the others when I can't look at the commission pic anymore. A few coloured images are incoming as are more pony pics, (AJ and Fluttershy to be exct).

Hope you guys have a nice summer, If you have any ideas what sort of price range would be good for a decent computer? I am thinking that my maximum price would be around 1500 euros... Dunno how much I can get for that. :/ I may understand some things when it comes to art, but I do not understand anything when it comes to computers. :/

I dunno, It's been ages since a Journal update, and My activity in general has seen a massive lull while I'm enjoying my time over here in the States. I need to start drawing more stuff again. I have one pic in progress, but it's a very experimental pic, not my usual stuff (And no it isn't ponies either). Speaking of Ponies...

I feel a little overwhelmed over on DA how much attention i got from posting the Pony stuff there, it's insane... 8D I guess it really is the thing t o do nowadays if you want to get noticed. *sigh* Oh well, I'll keep on doing it for fun as long as it is fun. 8D

YAY! I am currently enjoying a much-needed vacation over in the USA. It's been so long since I've been able to spend time like this with my girl, so I've spent the last few days in a smiley-emotional-rollercoaster. (I'm sure that if someone tuned onto our conversations, they'd feel sick from all the mushiness!)

As a person who enjoyes Minecraft, I think it's safe to say that I have a thing for blocks of all kind.

Except one. Art Blocks.

I guess the issue with me nowadays is that it takes me forever to make anything worthwhile (meaning finished pictures) Espec ially with me now dabbling in digital as well as my traditional work, which takes ages to begin with. I feel lazy when I just post sketches that will most likely never get finished

And since those sketches don't do any justice to my abilities I feel it makes my gallery look, well... Meh I guess is the optimum word. I would love to be able to post more often *Maybe one way to do that would be actually draw more than just bitch and moan about it, buuuuut, logic is for fools.*

Ah well, I'm orking on a bunch of pictures at the moment, besides the Brushie one, a pic of Lhana that's kind of a perspective experiment. (Sexy experiment mind you, so I guess it's okay)

Also as a side note, I am mad as hell at Dan Abnett for making me care so much for toy soldiers... *grumblesfething-gak-wipe-ninkergrumbles*

Alright, funeral has happenned, and life goes on, time to get rid of that sad piece of journal news.

In other news, I bought a new tablet (again, I know, but the previous ones either have died, or been shit) and this time it's working properly. I am working on a few sketches, and a colour pic that I hope to show you guys. I find that I will probably not use black lineart when drawing fully digital images, because Inking is, frankly, a bitch.

First, I wish to thank all of those who gave me advice last Journal, I appreciate it and feel happy when people care enough about their fellows, even here in the internet.

But as much as I'd like to say today is a good day... I cannot.

Last night, my Grandfather died in the hospital after being hospitalized last week for a broken hip. He died in his sleep peacefully, of which, I am eternally grateful. His last few years have been difficult, and I feel that his time came, and now I believe he has peace, and an escape from the pain that has followed him these last few years.

I will always remmeber his tobacco stenched house, his large colelctions of memorabilia from his life. When I was a child, he used to let me play his accordion, even though I could only play aroudn with it. While he could play it masterfully. He always had hois door open for me, and let me stay there if my parents weren't home, and I used to marvel at him.

In any case, today for the first time of my adult life, I have lost a family member, and instead of mourning and crying over him, I intend to celebrate his life, and his memory. Today is a day to drink, and make merry. I hope my father (Who'se parent my grandfather was) will be alright ,for his grief is far greater than mine.

Life is amazing, yet so complex and unpredictable. I hope he finds new wonder and happiness in whatever awaits hoim beyond the veil.

I just need to vent. So badly...

I am a very insecure guy. I mean, I constantly think of what other people think of me, and Ijudge mnyself with the standards of others. I seek the approval of other people so much it's painful. I want to hear people give me thanks and congratulate me for doing a good job... I know it's pathetic, but... This is how I am...

I also don't believe in the notion that anyone can do anything, if they put their mind to it and enough time. I believe we all have our abilities that we are born with, and can only hone those to a certainm degree. Basaicall ysoem peopel are born with the talent and the ability to learn... This is why I will never be great.

I am stuck in limbo, as far as my life goes, I am still at home, and I make a decent enough living... But I can't move out to live on my own. i have no future prospects as far as education goes, nor is there any chance for me to move together with my girl before I can get educated and have a decent degree with which to hunt for a job in the States... *sigh*

Sometimes life just feels so... empty.
I know it's a pathetic emo rant, but everyone gets these from time to time, so give a guy a break.

 whitemantis and  amethystine Have started a collab project named "In Dreams" featuring art from Whitemantis, and wonderful writing from Amethystine. Character's from both are featured in this mysterious story, and are rendered in both writing and art. So the best of both worlds.

A lot of you people should know these two, and their skills speak for themselves, but this project requires your aid as well! You can help the project get along by donating to them, (even a little bit helps). Now, I would also liek to extend my sincerest thanks for all of my watchers and friends here, for I just recently exceeded 10,000 views on my site. It reminded me of just how long I have been here... It has been an interesting time, and I hope for it t o continue long into the future. 8D

Indeed, it is another journal. And the year is almost done.

So much has happenned this year, a lot of which I hope I will never have to go through ever again. Lot's of emotional healing will be necessary in the following few months, as me and my family finally pick up the pieces and get out lives in order.

In short, for those of you who don't know, our family got stuck in a black hole of debt and loans which in the end we couldn't really handle it anymore. it got so bad that we sold VERYTHING we owned, just to have something to eat. And before this summer we almost lost our house to a court...

Thankfully I have loyal and wonderful friends who pulled me back from that abyss. Friends here who commissioned me helped me a lot and a RL friend who saved my ass. To all those who supported me with their kind words, presence and money I wish to send a heartfelt thank you. And to all those who I promised something and never delivered I hope you can forgive me as I humbly apologise.... I have just had way too much on my plate lately...

I dread to make the assumption that we are in the clear now, since I recall doing so earlier before this summer and thjings still went to hell... BUT Now I feel things are truly looking up, I am working hard to save up a lot of money, all of our debt is finally paid, which is incredible in and of itself.

I am looking forward to spending more time to come back here to all you people, and continuing to reach for my dreams, even though I had to fit through shit storms to stabilize.

Yes, some things do move forward it seems.

I have been miraculously bailed out of my mooney problems with the aid of a good friend of mine. We literally dodged a bullet, and hopefully everything should be, you know, getting better soon. I still have no real internet connection, and whatever sporadic contact I can make is through a local internet cafe.

I have quite a few pics i'd like to submit, but I haven't been able to, due to the whole problem with lugging my comp back and forth between the cafe and having all of my pictures and editing software on my external harddrive which I can't bring over here... Eeeeh, so yeah You need to wait just a little longer if you've been missing my stuff, I should be back in sometime. ^w^

Here's hoping you guys have been having a better year so far than I have. XD

So, remember what I said a month ago? How othing was working out? Well, see... that was the last time I got access to the internet. So for a month I've been flying blind around the world. =w=

Money issues are as usual, and I don't think I need to tell you guys about that anymore. It's getting better, but only a little bit at a time. So I may be very quiet for a while still.

YEah, so as my long absence may have tipped some of you off, the hardships that began around December haven't really lifted themselves off me.

I have had my computer fixed, finally, so some order of sanity has been given back to me, but on any other news life is kind of turning to shit. We almost lost our house because we couldn't pay the rent, if it weren't for the grace of the credit card company that would have happenned, as it stands we got some leeway to pay off the debt in smaller chunks. So now we still hae a house, but no money.

This in itself wouldn't be as big of a problem, but I had to postpone my sheduled trip to the states to visit my girlfriend all the way to next summer. Which means it'll have been almost an entire year since I last saw her. Quite depressing. But we will manage.

Aaaaand on top of that I have to make some last-minute changes to my plans to go to university sine the place I was gonna go to turned out to be tottally different from whta I understood. Super.

So yeah, life is hard sometimes...


Now that I've vented, let me just say to those who've stuck with me through this time a big thanks, and to those who haven't... welll... you aren't here listening so it doesn't matter.

Anyway, I have a few sketches in the works, and I wanna start updating again when I can, if only to keep myself sane. I hope I can give some enjoyment to you guys too since that makes me feel better anyway.

The next day. my computer is destroyed by a virus apparently.

So yes, i finally managed to procure a tablet for myself. 8D And Tablet is happiness, so with this new hardware I'll try and get into digital drawings more, although no worries, I will still stick with my traditional artwork as well. XP

But yeah I'm just getting used to it, sketching like crazy, I will upload some of those in here, while I try inking digitally (which is still crazy hard).

By the way, just in case if anyone knows, for some reason the tablet doesn't work on GIMP. Even if i have my mouse on the canvas, the actual cursor for all the tools is MASSIVELY off to the left. I mean the cursor isn't even in the canvas. And it's frustrating. XP So now I am using PS until I find a way to get GIMP fixed. DX

Yeah, been a bit quiet here for a while, eh?

Summer has officialy started for me a few weeks ago, and it's been pretty fun so far. the reason for my apparent inactivity though is very simple. My girlfriend flew over from the states to visit me, and she'll be hanging around and gracing my humle home for a few months. During this time I might be a bit quiet, but dun worry there's still images coming, a few tryouts in digital media, and I am planning on making long-overdue reference sheets of my girls.

Today's the last day for me in the service of the army. And ast the time of writing this journal i have around two hours left until I can ride onto the free and beautiful winter day with some friends.

It's been a colourful year for me really. Many challenges because of the army, some from my personal life, and some artwork related things as well. *Sigh* Life is never easy, but it's been fun.

Now what does this mean for me, my new found freedom? For one I will be spending a lot more time drawing, and devoting myself to some projects. (Also I'll have to try and find a job) ^__^;;;

I'lkl try and build-up my copic-arsenal back, so you can enjoy some coloured works after such a long time, eh? Maybe entice some of you guys to get commissions that way too. XD
