I felt like creating a journal that primarily exists for the waiting list, so peeps know it is definitely up to date (and I will continue to edit this journal as it changes). I have quite a few enormous projects being worked on in the back-lines, had a couple of setbacks but recovering well, and will get back to posting soon! At least one of the large (and the largest) project will get previews posted here as soon as I get time to set them up on Postybirb, probably aiming for Saturday on that!

Howdy peeps!

Some invoice stuff is coming up so I thought I'd just drop a note here in case anyone heard.

On the seller side, after February 3rd the seller account information must match invoices, but you can opt out of your address by being shown. If you go into invoices, there will be a notification asking you to review your business information, click it and go to review information, there will be drop down boxes that let you opt out of having your address and phone number shown. Mine was still good, I suspect if you have that fixed already it will be fine, however double checking never hurts~

On the client side, on the last few invoices I have noticed that my clients' addresses and phone numbers have been shown to me. We have noticed there is a check/switch button that says "Items will be shipped to an address" that can be turned off, and at this time are assuming this is how you prevent it. Will update when I get a chance to do a test. Of course, when using Paypal on the PC, I have the option to check that off, but I have had issues with being able to log into Paypal on my PC for years. So most of the time I have to do invoices through my phone, and that option is not there in the phone application.

Just wanted to let everyone know I am still alive, and also acknowledge I have some messages to get back to - if I haven't replied yet, you haven't done anything wrong I've just been mega slow x,°3 I always go too ham when I start getting a rhythm going and burn myself out, creating the need to climb back up again. However, I'm definitely a lot healthier than I used to be, and I'm getting better at recognizing the signs when I start to make that mistake again~

Howdy peeps!

I'm finally starting to get a feel for pacing all the drawing stuff, it was a rough start to the year so I'm mega behind in posting. However, I'm gonna be working on fixing that now that I'm doing a lot better and just need to kinda catch up and clean up a bit I°D

I have started "Client Collections" groups in the gallery folders. Since a few peeps tend to have a huge collection of images, I thought it would be a good way to organize them and some of their many alternate versions. :°3

It'll still be a little slow, but I wanted to let everyone know I am still alive and kinda loosely what's going on I°3 I will continue to update as I have news!

I know I have been so slow at posting recently that it will not be super obvious, but my Huion H1161 died after 4 years of service. I have to say, I am impressed with how it held up. I used it until the matte finish became mirror. lol

We ordered a new one last night, and supposedly June 5th is when it is estimated to arrive. Hoping sooner but we'll see x,°3 We have an iPad, so I will be seeing about switching to that for now, so hopefully peeps that are waiting for sketches will be able to get those soon. I will contact you individually at the time~

Howdy peeps!

I know it has been a while since I've posted on here, but that's being repaired now! There's a lot of stuff waiting to be uploaded, so I'm loading up PostyBirb to not spam it all at once~

Overall things are going at quite a decent pace at the moment, and my health has improved by a whole lot. It'll take me some time to catch up with peeps who were working with me before that extreme dip, but the good news here is you can expect some fairly regular uploads.

I wanna rework my journal layout, so at the moment I'll just be monitoring all the commissions in my personal note system. So no, the list is not empty, but there will be public commissions this year I°D I won't make a time estimate, but it will exist~

I don't really have much more to report than that, but I wanted to let everyone know I am alive and well. I didn't really wanna go back to the journals that had been made during that particularly difficult time, so thank you all for the supportive and caring comments. In return I hope to bring much juicy art this year :°}

I know it has been a while since my last update. The news is a little mixed - It wasn't too long after the previous journal that the shaft started to let up again, and I ended up opting to have it removed.

This does not have to be the end of my journey, as fortunately with the lateral groin flap phalloplasty there is a possibility of trying one more time on the opposite side. That said, I'm thinking about a year or so time frame in my head. There's a significant chance that the reason things weren't attaching properly was due to the weight I had gained since starting the surgery. I had been within the recommended weight range beforehand, but that fell apart with almost two years of dealing with it I°U And I estimate 6 months to a year for a healthy time frame of being able to shave off the weight that I need to.

The reason weight is an issue is because the flesh that is attached can't grab onto fat. It made me understand why they had to kinda cut down deep and push the shaft inwards when doing the touch-ups the last few times, and it also made me realize that upcoming attempts would likely fail as well. It seems like especially during the touch-up I'd mentioned in the previous journal, I'd start to get some progress with the skin healing, but underneath would remain unattached, and the thin layer that did get a grip would again give up even with the encouragement of stitches, cause there wasn't really anything to support it's grasp naturally despite the surgeon's best attempts to make that possible.

It was a tough decision, but I have finally been able to sleep in desirable positions for the first time in ages and I'm definitely feeling the change in quality already. Between that and being able to pick up more regular exercise again, I think that I will see big improvements in mood and energy~

Of course, a few days after that surgery I got a call from the eye doctors asking me to head over there. Thankfully it's not a surgery any time soon, they still need to track the progression of the condition before deciding the next move. It'll be at least 3 months before we even do the next testing, and I'm grateful for that gap in surgery-related stuff for the time being lol

Overall, I'll say I am feeling a lot better. My social battery is starting to recharge, so I'm gonna start working on catching up with everyone again. I've been doing drawing studies and stuff during these recoveries, I'm still quite rusty but I believe am starting to get back on track and with some effort I'll be back and posting quite soon~

On Monday I went in to have the surgical team check out the situation from last week, and they decided to operate immediately. I wanted to wait until I'd had a chance to see how it was going for a few days before making the journal so I had a better idea of how it was going, and it's nice to come with some good news this time around~ It was a lot more thorough this time, they used a lot more stitches and also they are not the dissolving kind~ They seemed to do a lot more cauterization as far as I could tell, and it has been WAY less bloody than after the work done on the 19th. Just a few spots here and there instead of trying to keep up with drenched bandages multiple times a day x,°D

The whole experience was rather bizarre this time around since the local anesthetic injection was too much for me to take as far as pain goes, I only had a little bit and ended up feeling a lot of the surgery. It was enough of the anesthetic not to be super painful or anything, but it was super weird feeling things happen. The most fascinating to me was the cauterizing tool, which was electrified scissors that cauterized as they cut, but it felt more like someone was putting little droplets of ice water on me followed by like feeling of sunburn. But whooie I forgot having surgery in one spot, then again in the same spot in such a short amount of time is pain city afterward, also think that may have been why the local anesthetic injection was so painful. I had to take paracetamol regularly for the first three days. lol

Anyway, just got out of the shower for the second bandage change of the week and things seem to be going well, all the stitches are still in place, and seems like things are pretty clean. Fingers crossed this will be the last time I have to have surgery on the root of the phallus x,°3

I'm hoping to catch up on messages and get some practice drawing in this week, but I'm also trying to be patient with myself since it has been pretty nutty the last few weeks. Howdy peeps,

It looks like it's gonna take a third attempt to attach the base of this stubborn phallus. During the first week it made me really really depressed, but I am coming through now, my social battery is just mega low efficiency at the moment.

The good news; Circulation is still good, the spot in which the phallus is attached to my body -is- a little bit girthier than before the surgery, and there are no signs of infection. I haven't had to take any pain killers or antibiotics and it seems to be just fine.

Bad news: More waiting and more taking care of an open wound for weeks TuT I do think since it's winter time it can possibly go faster than the last long stretch I had though, it seems like generally there is more time available at this time of year.

I will say that I am getting better at handling it over time. I have learned so much about wound care and how much you can actually get away with and still be safe in that regard, so when I do end up with huge wounds like this I can at least keep a level head while deciding what to do about it.

I think I am starting to feel healthy enough to actually get back to drawing soon. I'm gonna take it in strides, start small, and work my way back up again. I'll keep peeps up to date as much as possible, I haven't felt much like talking about it but I am getting better~

Howdy!

After the last journal, I know it will feel like a bit of a jinx, but yesterday evening I was removing bandages to clean things up as I should do every other day, and I found out some of the stitches had come loose. My suspicion as to what may have happened was the phallus was sitting too sharply to the right, making what I think are dissolving stitches suffocate and dissolve faster on the right side than the left. My partner 3d printed a support cast that now holds the phallus so it is sticking straight outwards, reducing pressure on each side of the wound, and it has at least made things a lot easier while we wait to hear back from the hospital.

We did get in touch with the hospital yesterday, and the nurse that was available at that hour talked to a surgeon and apparently, it's not too uncommon for this to happen. However, she is going to specifically talk to the surgeons who are working on my case today. I was also able to send photos to the hospital so we possibly don't have to do the 6 hours(total) of driving if they think stitches won't be necessary. Or perhaps if it's simple enough, we can go to the local hospital. We will do the long drive if they want us to though~

Edit: I would also like to mention the circulation is still great, and that is what is most important right now, so that is good news~

So meanwhile I will be being extra careful, I'm not sure how long this will all take. Meanwhile, I have got a subscription for ClipStudio for the iPad so I can maybe do some drawing from there at least for now while I will be spending a lot of time reclined too steeply for it to be convenient to draw at the PC. I tried for a while yesterday and still haven't quite warmed up to it yet, but I gotta say the program is pretty sweet, I highly recommend it if you are looking for a mobile program I°U

Howdy peeps,

The surgery this time was much less stressful than the previous one and as far as we can tell has been successful. I had opted for local anesthetic because I figured it would get me in faster than general since they don't have to get an anesthesiologist and stuff, so I had to be awake again this time. However, this time I got to wear headphones and they put up a fabric wall so I couldn't see what was happening, so my stress levels were reduced significantly. A new surgeon joined the team and she was able to work with the previous one the whole time, and that made me feel a little more secure as well. Funny enough, the thing that hurt most was the injection for the local numbing (and boy that hurt lol) but since then, I haven't had to take any painkillers or anything.

At the moment it's all still quite fresh and of course, being in an awkward spot like that it's easy to make it bleed again and again I°U but the circulation seems good and that is the important part. I'll continue to be careful and let the rest get sealed up~

Since I can do quite a bit already, and it seems like the docs felt it was alright also, I wanna get back to projects asap. I'll take it easy and do it a bit at a time, but it would be a nice thing for me to be able to at least do a bit on everyone's things this week :°3

Howdy peeps,

To catch up any new peeps, I've been working on getting phalloplasty since June 2022, and it has had it's troubles. I am finally getting the rough area of this operation worked on on Wednesday. I believe it will be good news - if this one is successful, my ability to sleep at night will improve a lot and it would leave very little to do to finish the whole process. Of course I've been in a bit of a weird headspace, but most evidence are pointing towards a good thing.

Those who are actively working with me will probably hear from me a little before that. I'm suspecting a kinda quick recovery, since the release surgery was fairly easy to recover from as well.

So I'll be back soon, hopefully with some good news. Take care of yourselves meanwhile and have a great week!

I just wanted to give a general update since I'm starting to catch up on things~

- Local docs couldn't help, but at the medical event that happened recently the nurse that was helping me there found a way better way of bandaging my situation down there, so I'm feeling a lot more confident about the wait that's still ahead of me~

- First YCH should hopefully be up on Monday! ((Again just to note: People who already waiting will continue to be worked on as well))

- And PostyBirb has mostly been filled, I noticed after filling it out there's a few WIPs missing, so I'll get those schedule at some point, but all the done stuff has now been scheduled :°3

All in all, things are going in a good direction, so I'm hoping for some productive months ahead of us I°3

Howdy peeps,

I wanted to a blast journal to let everyone know I'm doing a lot better. I'm gonna get back to the individual messages after this journal, I just wanted to put a blast saying I'm alright now that I'm feeling well enough to be at the PC. I'm gonna wean back into drawing too, so a few of you should be hearing from me in that way soon as well~

Before the break I had come up with a loose plan on how to deal with what I have been calling my "art identity crisis," that has been making it hard for me to be consistent, and that is after I'm done with what is currently owed (+Kuruk) I am thinking of doing a series of YCHs. This way I have freedom over the developmental stages, and can gear my training focus more on making consistent outcomes of lines, highlights, character recognizability, and so on. When this happens, I will continue to alternate them with the peeps who are already on the waiting list too so you all can get your stuff. I don't know if this is entirely set in stone or anything, but I really wanna solve this consistency issue, so that's my idea floating around right now~

One of my biggest repeated mistakes is that when I find a pace that works well for me when it comes to producing art, I tend to immediately think I need to push harder. Even though understanding the detriment to that mindset is a breakthrough I had with therapy a while ago now, some times it takes a while for things to stick or for me to feel the change integrate into my life. Fortunately, it seems like I am coming to terms with it now, and it is a feeling of relief in that department.

I think I am a quiet person by nature, but I also know that the medical situation has been making me feel reclusive more so than usual. A quick summary for anyone hearing of this the first time, I started getting phalloplasty (male trans bottom surgery) last June. Things hadn't gone as expected since the beginning, (Inconsistent staff, not able to get bandages I need I have been using maxipads and kineseology tape as bandages for most of that year, staff getting colder/less empathetic/even rude as it gets more towards recent times), and the last few months have been grueling. It's 24/7 attention to the positions I sit and sleep in (I can't let the shaft twist or I risk blood circulation cut off and losing the whole thing), whether or not I can or can't wear the kineseology tape at certain times with how my skin reacts to it, and the staff seem to have checked out as far as I could tell back in March. I do try to keep positive, but balancing on the edge of being at wits end does take a lot out of me.

I have an appointment coming up on Wednesday, and while I know the concept of going back has been sitting in my stomach for a while- even leading to me halfheartedly seeking help from local doctors but ultimately thinking I am just being impatient and calling it off- it really hit me this morning just how much I am dreading going back. It feels like 6 hours of driving for them to tell me, "Oh yeah, we can get to that later in the year," then when those months passed, some new treatment I had no idea about springs out of the blue and I go through it then and there like "I guess this is how it's done...?" because I really don't want to prolong this any more than I have to, so I just go for it. The local clinic had given me a number to the person who coordinates the trans stuff in our town last week, and again I thought I was being impatient and backed out, but I will call them today. I figure I should at the very least get an opinion of the whole tapestry.

That said, I will continue to work on commissions and communicate as much as I can reasonably handle, and the meat of this message is just to say that I don't really know when I will become more consistent. There are many weeks where I can feel fine and it becomes a lot easier to ignore the problem, and it's definitely not all doom and gloom. I think I just have very little energy to allocate, so I'm learning how to balance and prioritize it and try to cultivate it where I can. It is a situation that has improved greatly over this year and is continuing to improve, but it's not quite to the point where consistency can be expected. Everyone has been really patient with me, for which I am extremely grateful, so most of the stress around my inconsistency is self-inflicted. That too is improving significantly~

I really enjoy working on everyone's projects, the subject matter is always a lot of fun and some really exhilarating art challenges have been brought to me throughout the years thanks to you all, so I am determined to keep going~

Howdy peeps,

I haven't posted a journal in ages so I thought I'd just drop a line and let everyone know that I am still alive lol The tail end of my artblock was mingled with a mental health dip, but with the help of some amazing people and a lot of stubbornness, I feel healthier than ever~ It of course left me behind both financially and in projects, but both of those are starting to recover too.

With commissions being in such high demand at the moment and people choosing quite an interesting array of projects that don't really compare to each other, I have been doing them on a case-by-case basis. This will likely continue unless traffic slows down a little, but I will try to come up with an updated version of the promotional submission within a month or so.

The wound from my last surgery is finally healed over, and seeing how it is progressing has boosted my confidence in that department as well. Still a ways to go before it's all over, but I like the direction it is heading.

So I will continue to chug away the way I have been, and things will be popping up here and there as they have been :°D

Howdy peeps,

I think I have started to whittle away at the art block problem. It can be a challenge sometimes to pin point exactly what is causing it, but it seems like I am pulling through.

That said, I think I need to take a gentler incline for a bit until I am back on my feet. So, soon I will be posting a submission with information about a commission type I would like to try, and I will be linking back to this journal for the waiting list. The commission type is based on the Pencil Style I had done a few years ago, but we're gonna focus on Close-Ups for the first few at least. More information coming really soon!
