Offering Services
Posted 7 years agoI’ve lately been toying with the idea of offering comissions and related services to interested parties, both as a way to earn a little pocket money and keep myself writing. I like to think I have a decent following, and am curious: If I were to offer such services, would anyone be interested?
A Lovely Community
Posted 9 years agoThis might be in the name of getting my last, depressing post off of my page, but I was recently inspired to look back on the work I've done, and look at the friends that I've made in the last years.
It was a very odd thing for me, finding and interacting with all of the people that share my bizarre tastes. I look back at the works I have done using other peoples character's, in other peoples worlds. And the amazing artwork that has been created using my own creations. It's something I never thought I'd be doing when I first typed out my first sordid tale all those years ago.
So thanks everyone. Thanks for being a friend.

Boy, could he play guitar
Posted 9 years agoI am deeply saddened by the loss of David Bowie. His kind of unique musical genius is the kind of thing that comes around once in a generation, if we're lucky. He could coax and shape not just notes, but music as an art form to create something beautiful. The fact that he was making music right until the end proved that he still had so much to offer the world. I don't think that it's a big secret that he heavily influenced my own sense of style quite a bit. I'm not a huge music person, but when I heard David Bowie for the first time, I knew that he was something to care about. My entire identity as a music listener was shaped by him.
I can only hope that he's waiting in the sky, and that he'd like to come and meet us.

Alternate Timelines
Posted 9 years agoWhen Disney finalized the sale of Lucasarts, they confirmed that everything created in the Star Wars universe outside of the films before April 2014, save the Clone Wars and Rebels cartoons, was now utterly non-canon. No more Dash Rendarr, no Kyle Katarn, The Emperor was never cloned and Boba Fett never crawled out of the Sarlacc.
I got a bit of a kick out of the realization that we now have what may be the most fully fleshed out alternate timeline to a fictional canon in history. The Star Wars Extended Universe is now officially a dead universe, a parallel plane of reality that now exists as a half remembered dream. Do you think the characters know it? Do you think Hans Solo ever woke up in the middle of the night with the word "Thrawn" haunting his memories for some unknown reason?
I'm a little well versed in dead universes, so it's an odd thought that makes me chuckle.

Posted 10 years agoIt's been a few weeks since I've made an appearance. My computer was in the shop and now it's all brand spanking new.
Rest assured that Biohazard Part 2 is the first thing on my docket, and I have a few other stories in the works.
Working in another kitchen this summer. THat tends to happen.

School and Such
Posted 11 years agoWelp, September has reared it's breezy head, and I'm fairly certain I just made it through the first cold day of Autumn. Spending an entire summer cooped up in a boiling kitchen with a busted air conditioning really makes you appreciate the nuances of nuclear winter. I don't think I've ever done well in extreme heat. Then again, the Icepocalypse that was blighted upon us last year certainly was no picnic, especially when the power went out for about a week. Egh, it was more annoying than anything...
I'm getting off topic.
School has started up, and as a dedicated student, that means I'll getting much more done. Yep. Generally speaking, I'm always at my most creative when I'm supposed to be working on something else. Reverse engineering my own procrastination has really only bit me in the ass when I catch myself doodling ideas in the middle of a lecture, and I'm fairly certain that the guy behind me has been reading over my shoulder.
So what's your opinion? Should I immediately bolt for the exit when this happens? Or just swivel in my seat and stare him in the eye with a big, toothy grin?

Reboot!
Posted 13 years agoAs I build more and more of the Amalgatech universe, I've started to develop a much more concrete ongoing canon and as such, have decided to pull an Infinite Crisis, revising some of my older stories in order to fix a few plot inconsistencies. Mostly it's just a matter of names and a little chronology, but also characterizations. Take Orientation for an example, where half the characters personalities shift over the course of the story as I develop them more. I won't be doing anything too extreme, just a few rewrites here and there. If you care at all, do let me know what you think and whether or not this is a great idea.
Dammit
Posted 13 years agoCan someone tell me how to include another artist's avatar in a journal or comment entry? I've never had to do it before and the skill escapes me completely.
Where The Hell are We Now Professor?
Posted 13 years agoI've made the leap from Deviantart to Furaffinity after following several of my favourite artists.
I have to say, the transition between the two sites can be somewhat...jarring.
Hell, I never thought I'd consider the stuff on Deviantart to be tame by comparison to anything.
Despite my sheer inability to be skeeved out, I occasionally find myself cringing at what some people post here. Not that I'm judging, I have no right or desire to call what someone else gets a kick out of "fucked up". As far as I'm concerned, it's all good.
Nevertheless, I'm glad I've got an account here. It's opened a few windows and pointed me to some interesting new artists.
Still, I haven't seen this much weird penis since I cracked open H.R. Geiger's Necronomicon.
