Posted 12 years agoSince I was jamming to them this morning in my truck.
Okay, I’m a decently long time 3DG fan. One-X was my starting point, not super familiar with much they did before that. I love the bands sound, I love the music. Adam Gontiers voice is fantastic. Rough enough to belt it out and yet smooth enough to be melodic. And their lyrics are relatable to their audience.
I have listened to their debut self titled album. Its rough, you can tell its their first. Only a handful of songs I like on here, though it did produce their first hit in “I Hate Everything About You”. Not much to say here, that song gets on my nerves now.

And their last album, Transit of Venus, first of all has the best album casing of all their CDs. And this is back to One-X, where I love literally every song on here. Its another fairly dark CD. Angry for sure. If you liked one X but not their next album, give this one a listen. it’s a great rock jam. Its hard for me to pick my favorite three songs. But if nothing else, look these up on you tube and give a listen.

As fans may/may not be aware of, after the release of this last album Adam Gontier announced he was leaving the band to pursue a solo career because he felt like he was writing for what the fans wanted to hear instead of what he wanted to write. This is sad, as his voice is, like so many front men, their signature. Though I am glad he’s still making music, idk if it can be 3DG without him. They have someone singing for them on their tour, I Haven’t heard him yet. I guess time will tell.

And it’s also a serious discussion. I expect no rude remarks. If you don’t like it you don’t have to read it.
I’ve always loved bdsm in theory. I’ve RP-ed it. I’ve always wanted to actually DO it.
So I’ve accumulated some starter equipment.
-a nine tails whip
- a riding crop
- a soft nylon hog tie type restraint, but it’s not as restricting as a hog tie. The connector is adjustable up to where I would literally stretch out with it on.
-blindfold
-handcuffs
-various lubricants and oils and such
Enough to play around with.. Except none of it has ever really been used. Because my boyfriend usually freezes up and doesn’t know what to do. He doesn’t know how to be in control. And none of this stuff has ever gotten used on me. Every time we try, even if he initiates the entire idea, he backs out and leaves me in awkward disappointment.
I’ve gotten better. It takes practice.
So I’m just kinda looking to have a discussion with people who have experience.
Who maybe have advice for how to go about it and whatnot.

My Goldfish Is Broken! Also Update

At first I thought he was gonna kick the bucket. But he seems to be doing fine.
He just can’t flip over.
He broke it.
Anyway off work the next couple of days.
Gonna try and wrap up as much art as I can.
I know I said everything would be done by the end of February.
I’m doing my best I’ve been really stressed and exhausted lately.
I assure you all that I’m getting them done as fast as I can without letting the quality suffer.
I thank you for being patient with me.

Nate started his new job tonight, as an overnight stocker at Wal-Hell.
So now we’re both slaves to the navy blue.
He works from 10pm to 7am. Where as I, ironically, today worked 10am to 7pm.
This is the first night I’ll be sleeping alone since march of last year.
Please keep me company. ^_^

Another movie I went into thinking ‘this should be good’ and came out going ‘OMGEEE THAT WAS AMAZING’.
Really. I had high hopes for this, I loved the premise as soon as I saw the trailer. So, I’m glad I was not disappoint.
The narration by the main guy, is what makes the whole movie. I mean it makes it hilarious. There are a lot of super funny moments throughout the whole thing, but that’s what really sells it. How he thinks of being a zombie, how it feels to do what he does. Shuffling around all day and eating people.
Overall the story is much more touching than I thought it would be. The characters are witty and clever and its just unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. Which is kinda hard to find nowadays. I’ve never seen anything where a zombie begins to reverse the process.
Would definitely recommend seeing it, for anyone who loves zombies or mushy stories. Or both.

So went and saw this Sunday night. I had seen the trailer, thought it was intriguing. Had hopes for it, but was also afraid it could be another “The Woman in Black”, which while it was a good movie, was not nearly as scary as the trailer led you to believe.
I have to say, I was VERY pleasantly surprised. This movie FREAKED ME THE F**K OUT. The beginning is a bit slow and confusing if you don’t closely pay attention. But once they find the girls (maybe 10-15 minutes in as first they set the story of how they got out there) it picks up speed quickly. It gets intense and pretty jumpy and weird as you find out more about what going on. There are a lot of unexpected twists. The creature thing “mama” is just horrifying. Like this thing is really hard to look at. And she shows her face fairly early and keeps coming back. The movement of her and her appearances are just creepy as shit. I was hiding behind my hands a lot of the time because of the tension and because I really had a hard time looking at her. And the ending was VERY unexpected, its bittersweet. And I enjoyed that it wasn’t a super happy ending, cause it wouldn’t have fit the story at all.
Overall I was much more thrilled with this movie than I had imagined I’d be, and I would definitely recommend it to any horror movie fans!

Like this thing is really hard to look at. And she shows her face fairly early and keeps coming back. The movement of her and her appearances are just creepy as shit. I was hiding behind my hands a lot of the time because of the tension and because I really had a hard time looking at her. And the ending was VERY unexpected, its bittersweet. And I enjoyed that it wasn’t a super happy ending, cause it wouldn’t have fit the story at all.
Overall I was much more thrilled with this movie than I had imagined I’d be, and I would definitely recommend it to any horror movie fans!

Big Bang Theory, Jersey Shore, The Housewives Bullshit, The Voice, American Idol, Americas Got Talent, Survivor. Bullshit basically. Wanna be reality bullshit.
2. A selection of musical artists you do not care for.
Again, stupid bullshit. Taylor Swift, and those dumb boys; ie Justin Bieber, One Direction, etc. Carley Rae Jepsen. All new country artists suck its not even country anymore. Hate screaming metal why would you listen to something you can’t even understand.
3. A selection of celebrities you couldn't care less about.
Everyone really. I mean there are a handful of cool people, but its not like I stalk their lives. Idc what they’re doing.
4. A hobby you “don’t get”.
WATCHING sports. I can see playing sports. Watching them….much more boring. Especially NASCAR. Kill it.
5. A habit you find disgusting.
Because I live in south texas I have to say this. The dip and sunflower seeds shit. Because I have seen grown ass rednecks come in the walmart where I work and spit on shelves and the floor like its their fucking house.
6. Something in school you really liked doing that everyone else bitched over.
Note taking. I enjoyed it and would use the time to doodle too. :P

a lot of the fighting action games. Where like you press one button over and over and it does multiple attacks. Theres like nothing to it. Ex: Batman arkam asylum and arkam city. Don’t get me wrong, LOVE the games they’re a lot of fun. The fighting style where you press one button and jump from attacker to attacker is dumb. I hate it.

dunno why i'm RANTING -critique-

And their response is just like “oh thanks”.
Its like, I spent all this time drawing your character to my best ability and you’re just like “yeah thanks for that”.IT IRKS THE CRAP OUTTA ME
Its not like I expect a written report on my drawing. But you could give more than a thanks. Because I put a lot of thought into everything I draw. And I work hard. And a thank you is nice but more would be more nice. Ya know.
AND my BIGGEST PROBLEM with this fandom is this; PEOPLE ARE AFRAID TO GIVE A NEGATIVE CRITICISM.
I won’t lie, I’m guilty of it. You know when someone draws you something and its just kinda eh or not what you expected and you’re not thrilled with it.
But they put so much time and effort into it, you don’t want to put them down for it.
Or maybe they don’t have much experience and it was a freebie and they tried their hardest and you don’t want to crush their spirit.
THIS IS A PROBLEM.
Not that I’m saying go out there and just smash their soul. No. but there seems to be a fear of giving honest constructive criticism around here. How are you supposed to improve if no one tells you what you’re doing wrong. Don’t go “GEEZ THIS IS AWFUL WHAT WERE YOU THINKING”. but constructive stuff like “hey maybe you should try this next time” or “check out this link to this tutorial, I think it’ll help you” or “this seems a little off to me”. why can’t people be a little more honest?
That being said, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE critique on EVERYTHING I draw. But especially these freebies, as the point of them is for me to improve. So everyone keep this in mind ^_^
