So let me continue by saying, I HAVE ZERO PROBLEM with people who want to "Social Distance" and "Self quarantine". I think it's about time industry and government support this. No MY problem is with what I feel is an UNREALISTIC response and panic manufactured by the social media.

I just read a Journal by someone else, about the distressing trend in commissions. Yesterday I agreed with it, but there were so many replies, I did not contribute, now I wish I had...

Well All, things seem to be cooking along, and looks like I am slated for deployment to Haiti (Humanitarian Aid Mission with the UN) around 29 March.

I am sure most people are familiar with "Walt Disney's Jungle Book" man, if role playing a canon character is a copy rights violation...Disney is in BIG trouble...

In the Disney version, Kaa (the Python) is on the side of Sher Kan (the tiger). In the actual book, Kaa and Mowgli (which means Little Frog) are BEST friends! Kaa SAVES Mowgli several times and is fond of making a cushion of his coils for Mowgli to sit in.

In the Story Sher Kan is a LAME tiger and Mowgli uses buffalo to trample him to death and skins the tiger..(he does not tie a burning branch to his tail, nor does Baloo come to his rescue.

As you look at more of these so called "Classic movies" you discover that Disney and many OTHERS, got INSPIRATION for their production FROM an author, and then CHANGED the Canon characters to suit the film and audience they choose to appeal too....

You know, I am kinda curious about myself, usually if someone likes something I do not, I yawn and move on. But Curiously (even to me) i take an exception to these damned DICK girls hermaphs.

You know, many "furs" read my stories and posts, and or see my character, and what to role play with me, but what is REALLY annoying is:

And very powerful...but hey..what do they require to eat? what other duties can he (or she) do? How do we deal with him not being able to sit in a chair? What about the crew someone having a crush on him or her....Discovering the Social habits of the griffin... What if a Young fellow had a pet rabbit that got into teh griffins quarters?

But what do *I* get?

Well interesting conversation so far, but I am now drawn to the question..where can one go, to find writers and players that will write and engage with a plot that is not a photo copy of everything else?

Before I even read a fellow writer, I know one immutable fact, one way or the other EVERYONE will be happy. Likely most of you do not read this, I had like 2 people respond to my "rant" (thank you). But it occurred to me I should not just Bitch... So here are some thoughts i had on role playing, writing and creativity.

The first things I'd say today is...if your going to role play ACCEPT THE BAD with the good. What makes characters, Like Ebonyleopard's "Phenix" interesting is not the totally amazing things they CAN do...but rather the human intrigue of how they deal with the things they CAN'T do.

Even SUPERMAN HAD to have Kryptonite, otherwise he just walks in and bashes the bad guy...ho hum.

So lets take for example Gender transformation. Everyone wants to do it for teh SEX...well hey, if you want to do a role play with me being transformed into ANYTHING (gender or species) then let me EXPERIENCE it...

You may not LIKE pregnancy, but hey teh threat of 9 months of morning sickness, sore backs and labor pains, (for a GUY IRL) puts a whole new spin on being so free with your body. You want a contraceptive? Deal with the high blood pressure, hot flashes, etc...

Species? hey it woudl be AWESOME to be a HORSE...but keep in mind a broken leg is fatal...

thats what attracts me, discovering and considering things from a POV I never thought of before. Hey I am a horse..but DANG that Steak smells good (or does it?) what happens to equine stomachs?

Ok this, granted, is a rant, but sometimes this stuff builds up and I have to just vent somewhere. Not that anyone has done anything wrong or *IS* wrong, but I take a look at the status of Role play today (Fisk actually unknowingly and innocently set this off). I am so completely frustrated with the whole “I don’t do canon/famous” characters mania going on.

Ok look, I get it, as Fisk said, SOMETIMES it’s fun to do your own thing and make up your whole entire world (trust me I know I LIKE to do it) however; that world cannot consist of nothing but “Let’s have SEX!”

I hate how I bend over backwards LOOKING for a role-play partner, and I will get a “My Little Pony” who says “Hi my cutie mark is a cock locked in a chastity cage, want to dominate me?”

We won’t play “Rainbow Dash’ because that’s not MY character, but we will plunder the setting where I GOT the idea.

Then if I say “you know, in the story, Rainbowdash is asexual because it’s a story for kids, what if she had actual equine INSTINCTS” I get an aghast look like I am stealing the copy write and Intellectual property rights right out of the creators pockets (not to mention the food out of their children’s mouths)

Conversations will usually go as such:

Them: Hi…I’m a Brony, and I REALLY like bondage I see you’re a switch could you do that? Put me in harness?

Me: Well I’d like some back ground and plot but...um yea….

Them: Great! We’re gonna Mesh I FEEL it, when you tie me up, would you do ORAL on me?

Me: Um…well a slaver would not logically um…lick that part of a slaves body, he’d be more selfish...but…well if you like it we can work it in.”

Them: COOL ok, ok, and could you like maybe have…like lots of people DO me?

Me: Um…sure, but could...you maybe be at RISK to get pregnant?

Them: Dude…gross, I don’t do pregnancy, but could you maybe after, like…rip my stomach open?

Me: Well… would really be a stretch..but sure…just one thing, could you like..maybe SAY your Rainbow dash

Them: I can’t play them I’d not know how to BE Rainbow Dash

Me: You don’t have to..be you as YOU see Rainbow Dash

Them: I don’t think we will mesh Bye

I mean for Christ sake, if you wanna do original characters, come up with a bloody Idea. CHAKATS, I do NOT relate well (sexually) to a hermaphrodite…why not Have a kind of “Star Trek” setting where I am posted on a ship with a Chakat , or a SHIP FULL of Chakats. Don’t expect Sex from my char, you can TRY but you know…social rules? What is a hermaphrodite society like? What are their social values?
Christ when did taking a towel and tying it on your shoulders and yelling “I’m Superman’ become a capital offense? Is there NO one who can find middle ground here?

THEN you have THIS place, where you can SHOW murder, rape, torture. but damn it all don't you DARE show a kitten looking at a cock (you freaking sick pervert you)

I STOPPED reading Fates of the Unicorn, because the freaking AUTHOR is afraid to write ANY consequence...do the unicorns over and over till looking at her nude body leaves me completely LIMP...because..well making a slaver do slaver THINGS (besides the sadism and the obvious Tab "A" into Slot "B") would be SICK.......

I get do DAMNED frustrated...where is the place WE can go where we can actually combine LOGICAL plot WITH sex (yea I'll get about 2 dozen of you who give the "I don't care" reply of...well go make one yourself...Trust me if I had the TIME and knowledge I WOULD, unfortunately I like to WRITE not ADMIN a web site)

You think artists have a point when they do not wish to do a commission until they are paid? Well the sword cuts both ways.

I commissioned Scarith to write a story for me... to the tune of $100.00

I do not mind if it didn't come out the way I expected, but what I mind is, not getting much at all... (about 1/2 after badgering)

Strings of excuses...

I'd e-mail's and notes on FA going unanswered until I said I would Blog about it

Then the promises, the "well I had comp problems, family....etc.

I got 1/4 (nice work actually) then more of the above... followed by a PROMISE if he did not have it ALL done in a week, I'd get a 50% refund.

The last I got was scarith sent me another 1/4 (8 pages of nonstop stooge no plot despite my feed back asking for it) and a PROMISE that within 24 hours he had the last HALF and woudl send it (even if it was spooge I'd have said ok...just not a commission I'd make again)

That was 3 weeks ago...and I suppose my e-mail is on an ignore list....my notes and e-mails go unreplied to.

Beware this person.... willing to take $ the moment it is offered but doesn't feel that this entitles his customer to any form of service (and teh ONLY think I asked is he reply and keep me appraised of his progress)

I suppose he's gone now but warn others of his habits

While at Anthrocon this year, I decided I have not had enough pictures of my actual character/fursona. When I began commissioning, a WONDERFUL Artict, by the name of Beerhorse, asked me if my character (non morphic Griffin, front is peregrine falcon, back is snow leopard) had any DISTINCTIVE markings.

In 28 years I NEVER got asked this nor thought about it, but I went like OMG! I SHOULD...

So i am looking for some suggestions, right now I am considering

#1 his hind feet are inky jet black from toes to hock.

#2 One of his flank spots ins a cutie mark (I would need suggestions as to WHAT that mark should be, I do not mind something humorous or embarrassing, considering my fursona, is WAY too cool cor himself, and is very much "Macho" , Proud, dominant and teh Alpha male.)

Can anyone out there give me some suggestions?

I obviously do not want to call them The Illuminati, and would like some help finding a name for the Society, organization, syndicate etc...
