I've never been the best at keeping my own room clean. The rest of the apartment is never all too messy, but... my room's a different story~ >.<;;

I recently went on a 2 week trip to Portland to visit a furry friend and to go to a furry convention in hopes to... to change things up. The convention was fun, though.. as for the visiting of a furry friend, it... could have gone a better.
Bit of a shame considering it was a bit of an expensive trip. Not something I can do very often.

Anyways, since getting back from my trip, things just.. I don't know...
I just don't want to get back into the same old habbit of stagnation..

Hi everyone. I have a bit of a situation that I could really use some help with.

I... I feel incredibly awkward asking such a thing, because I know there are at least some people in the furry fandom that like to abuse the generosity of others.. >.<;;
Still, when a friend is in need, I.. I've got to at least try to help.

 cashewlou , a close friend of mine, has fallen on some hard times for the past few months. He's currently in between jobs, and has one lined up that'll start sometime later next month.

Unfortunately, he's fallen a bit short on money to pay his rent, and if he doesn't somehow get the funds together to pay it at the beginning of the month, he's going to end up homeless.

If any of you can spare some money, it'd mean a lot to him. Even if it's just a few dollars, every little bit will help.

I know my friends have been busy with work a lot lately, but.. I can't blame them for that.
Times aren't the best, and you gotta do what you gotta do to make ends meet.

Still.. It can start to make you feel a little lonely/crazy when you're pent up in your apartment every day with no one to hang out with.
Shame there just doesn't seem to be more local furs around here.

Been a while since my last post. Just got back into town yesterday afternoon. I had been gone visiting family, as well as doing a bit of Camping over the 4th of July weekend. I... don't really recommend doing the latter of the two. There are waaaaaaaaaaaay too many people camping during that weekend. >.<;

Visiting my family was nice, though. Got to hang out with a couple siblings I only really get to see maybe twice a year, as well as see my niece and nephew.
I always feel kinda awkward around kids. They're so hyperactive and unpredictable. o.o;;;

Had to keep an eye on them while they played games on the SNES I got for my birthday. They fought a couple times over things like unpausing the game while one of them wasn't ready yet, but... at their age, that's kinda to be expected. x3

Overall it was a fairly nice experience getting to see everyone. It was also nice being down there cause I got to see my cats, or... well... I got to see most of them..

My parents had to have my cat, Tiger, put down due to cancer. I miss her so terribly much..
She was a loving, beautiful calico, and a wonderful mother cat. She.. She was one of my first two cats. She was my Tiger baby, and I'll never forget her.

Geeze.. Just typing this up is making me cry again..

Many times, you could find her curled up on the couch, with her son and daughter, Tidbit and Lolli, on each side of her. The two have slowly been adjusting to not having their mother around, cuddling up with each other now that she's gone.

I know my mom really misses her too. Usually when she'd sit down to read a book, do some knitting, or even just watch the news, Tiger would snuggle up next to her, enjoying her company. Likewise, many of the times my mom would go out to put up laundry on the clothesline, Tiger would come over to her and spend time with her, watching my mom as she hung up the clothes, and letting out the occasional meow.

I wasn't at my hometown yet when my parents had her put down, it was.. it was just so sudden. She apparently started acting a bit different, a bit low on energy, so my parents took her to the vet to make sure she was alright only to find out she had such terrible cancer, and that she didn't have long to live..

My sister got a phone call the day they put her down and immediately informed me of it.


It... it just.. it hurts so much to know that I didn't even get to say goodbye..
Let alone get to give her one last hug..
One last pet..
One last little kiss on the forehead..

Tiger was put to sleep on June 3rd. She was an absolutely wonderful part of the family, and may she rest in peace.

It's weird, my birthday's tomorrow.
I can't believe it's already that time again. o.o;


Moving has been rather tiresome, but things are progressing. Gotta move one last load of stuff a bit later today, and then put in an hour or two of cleaning the old apartment.
If my sister and I put in a couple hours of cleaning each day, the old apartment should easily be fully cleaned up by Friday. Can't wait till that's all finished. :3

Just got back yesterday from being in my hometown for easter.

My sister and I both headed down a few days earlier than we had planned to help out around the house due to my mom being sick. She had been in the hospital for a few days due to a kidney infection, some kidney stones, and apparently an ovarian cyst.
>.<; ~poor mom.

When she got out of the hospital, the meds they had her taking would make her kinda weak and dizzy, so it's definitely a good thing my sister and I were there to help out.


Anyways, though, I'm boooooored. Haven't really been sure what to do lately. Nothing seems to really grab my interest. :/
Course.. I wonder if any of that has to do with a new medication I'm on. Hadn't really considered that possibility~ >.<;

My insomnia has been bad this last week, too.

Sure, my family will be up here for Thanksgiving. Actually, I'm pretty certain they arrive tomorrow.
Still, that's not really the same as what I'm wanting. They're family. I love them dearly, but right now, I'd just really like to be around some close friends that I could hang out with on a somewhat regular basis. Local friends that I don't just talk to through a headset or some other piece of technology.

To be able to get out and be around others once, maybe twice a week would be amazing.


Then again, who knows.

Feels good to be back at my apartment.
Wonder how long it's gonna take till I start going, "I'm Booooooooored" :P

So... just a couple days after being back from FurFright, I had to go on another trip. My grandma hadn't been doing so well lately, and her birthday was on the 4th. Her doctors were pretty certain she had cancer and didn't think she'd live another year.

In which case, we were gonna make sure that her birthday party would be a good one. I took a greyhound bus down to my hometown to meet up with my parents and head out with them towards Minnesota. Headed up there. It was about a 12 hour trip. There, we spent some time with my grandma, just chatting and what not.

I was impressed still with how active and sharp her mind was, even after having another heart attack earlier this year. We all chatted about current topics, as well as of course many of my mother's older, fonder memories of when she was a child. Grandma's memory was still really good. Able to recall small details on many of those subjects. Sometimes I had to wonder if her memory at her age was better than mine. lol

Anyways, we did that, headed to our motel for some sleep, and then the next day we had the party. It had a huge turnout. Tons of relatives all showed up to celebrate my grandma's 96th birthday. :)
We had a pot luck meal and chatted it up with everyone, more memories being shared. Eventually, the cameras came out and we took turns taking pictures with grandma. Much of the time, people would still be joking over old stories while standing with grandma for a few pictures. It really was a fun time.

Once the party raveled to an end, we took grandma back to her room, and then followed up by taking our leave. My parents and I still had to at least make it part of the way home that very evening.

A car ride, a motel, some bad weather in North Dakota, and another car ride later, and we were back at my parents' place. There, we celebrated my mother's birthday. It's funny how her birthday is the day after her mother's birthday. lol
Anyways, I made steaks for all of us. Mom got to open some presents. Things were good.

Well, just a few hours ago we received a phone call. My grandma passed away.
Both my mom and I have had a good cry at this point. We aren't sure what's going to happen next. We knew my grandma was going to be passing away, but we figured it'd still be a few months down the line. Guess she was just holding on for that one last party.

My grandma Irene was a wonderful person. I'd like you all to know that. She was kind and creative and held a great love for her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

Shame, I was really enjoying FurFright. Well, most of it, anyways. My footsies may have been sore from all the walking, and I did end up spending a lot of money, but that was all worth it! Got some cool stuffs that I purchased, such as another Con badge. Also met lotsa people, drank quite a few times with friends, and also got to give hugs to lots of fursuiters! =^-^= ~yaaaaay.

Also, at one point, a few friends and I headed down to Walmart to pick up some food (we were gonna be grilling brats in our room :P), and while there, I decided to buy a huuuge bag of Halloween candy. I then went around the con giving candy to anyone that wanted some. It was my offering of friendship to all the wonderful furs. Teehee. ^^

There were a couple icky parts to FurFright, though, but I figure most people already know what those things would be.

A: The meaniehead that went and messed with one of the fire extinguishers on the second to last night of Furfright. That caused the CO2 from the extinguisher to be released, which caused the fire alarms to go off for the entire hotel. Suddenly, everyone in the building was having to evacuate at about 3:45 am. X-x; NOT FUN! Especially considering my friends and I were kinda still drunk. :/

We all had to go and wait outside for an hour, while the local firefighters had to check the area and reset stuffs. After all that, we were then finally allowed to be let back in. None of us know who the person was that did it, but we were all very irked at him/her/them. Also, lots of us were then apologizing to the hotel staff cause we didn't want to ruin what a good thing we've had going on between us and the hotel.

Soooo... yeah... that kinda sucked.

The other bad thing that happened was of course, this:

B: Hurricane Sandy. :/
Had to skip the dead dog party and leave early. My friend Goronhead and I were both having to find how to get home before the hurricane would end up forcing us to be stuck in the wrong city/state/part of the country for a few more days. Took some work, and I could go into quite a bit of detail on just what all exactly happened, but I think I'll just leave it as being that we had to deal with some crap, and we did, and then we got home safe.

Anywho, that was my awesome (and slightly odd) FurFright experience! :3

I can't believe there's less than 24 hours before I fly out to FurFright. :D
This kittycat is both very excited and nervous at the same time. Probably doesn't help that it's still just my second Con, and the first one I went to was back in 2009. lol

Anywhozle, lots of packing to get done! I should have it so that everything will be nicely compacted so I'll have a nice bit of room for any purchased stuff I'll be bringing back.

Also, I's been doing henna stuffs for my hair again since it's been FOREVER since I last did it. >.<;
I hope this last mixture will darken my hair enough for what I'm wanting. It's always a bit hard to tell what the end result will be when you're messing with things like Henna, Indigo, and other natural dye type things.

Still, it usually doesn't come out all that bad or anything. It's just that if this last mixture doesn't quite darken things enough, I'm gonna look like a red headed step child (aka: a super ginger!) X3

I stopped taking my ambien a couple months ago cause my resistance to it was getting high again. Just finally took some again within this last week. It still isn't being very effective. Sooooo, no luck on medicated sleeps. :/


Anywho, hmmm... recent news...
Yesterday (since it's past midnight) was a blast. Hung out with some local furs at Buffalo Wild Wings. Had some delicious boneless wings, and also a few strawberry daiquiris. @-@ ~They were so magically tasty
Hmmmmm.. Alcohol... That would help me sleep..

nearly 3 whole days of insomnia, followed by a very short amount of very poor, light sleep, followed by more insomnia, followed by a bit more sleep followed by more insomnia.

My sleep medication doesn't seem to be working, either. At least, not enoughs to put me to sleep. Probably means that I'm growing resistant to it agains, and I'll have to stop taking it for a while...

My brain's not functioning all too well on this level of sleep. It's kinda stopped me from doing most anything for the past few days. Also started getting a cold after the first day of insomnia, so I've been trying to fight that off as well. I think it's mostly gone at this point. Shame I can't say the same about the insomnia...

I just checked my email only to discover a bunch of messages about failed email attempts. Looking it over, the messages my account was sending out were spam messages, and it sent them to a ton of my contacts.

I'm terribly sorry about that. Kinda interesting that it happened though since I just recently had been thinking over patterns I could use when making my passwords much more secure. I'll now be putting that into affect, so hopefully this shouldn't happen again.
