I haven't updated my journals for a long time, so here's a heads up as to what's been going on.

For the last five years (ish) I've been working on a very big world-building project designed for our small serious of short'n'sweet isometric games with the wonderful .

As a warm up to our proper goals we've decided to tackle a browser based role-playing game that works a lot like the old traditional tabletop rpgs. A place to act as our world hub for anything and everything we do. We're investing a lot of money and time into it and we're really excited!

Some of you guys might have seen my posts linking to the website, or the FA page for the project, but a lot of what we have shared only goes skin deep. Over the next month, with a team of dedicated and talented individuals, I'm going to be launching a kickstarter and patreon, showing off all the systems we have planned, the art we've accumulated, features we've tested and the lore we've spent much time agonising over. It's going to be really exciting.

I'm hoping we'll be able to make a good run out if it and get some proper funding behind us!

Just a quick update, I had my profile closed for a while there, my partner was diagnosed with a heart problem, his aorta being almost twice the size it should be and a genetic disorder that effects connective tissue. It was all very scary and I just couldn't be bothered dealing with my art stuff while we were going through it all. Long story short, around a month ago he went in for some pretty intense open heart surgery, and now he's home and on the mend. You can see his adorable mug in the link bellow, but that means I'm back for now.

Chances are I'll be leaving FA forever in a few months, migrating to DA or somewhere I can present a little more professionally, FA just isn't geared for that unfortunately, which will be odd for me because I've been hanging around here for over ten years now on one account or another. I'm hoping to stick around and get through a few commissions I've had on hold, and post a few more bits and bobs to get my personal project off the ground. So. Yeah.

I'm going to post up my paypal.me account too, I've taken something like 20 commissions to help cover all the hospital costs, it cost me nearly $1000 just getting to and from the city with taxis and such so at the moment I need all the help I can get and I'm seriously overburdened with all the extras I'm trying to do to bring in a little extra. Felth, a post-apocalyptic world many centuries rebuilt, now largely covered in fungi, symbiotic corals & other organisms. A breathing world of constant motion heavily polluted by the evolved survivors of the devastating event that was intended to destroy the world.

Felth is one of four life-bearing planets in the Adeous Cluster and the second largest. Once possibly a thriving environ Felth now carries the stigma of being Adeaus' garbage heap, a fetid planet largely consisting of mold and rot, and all the associated refuse, societal or otherwise. Surrounded by a swathe of postapoc dead satellites, debris and ship wreckage it's clear from a distance that Felth isn't the most welcoming destination, often a fueling stop on the way to more 'safe' planets. Even Felth's clutter of moons, half destroyed, are an indication of the planets past strife.

Nevertheless, Felth's surface and water dwellers are thriving and many cultures both native and alien have found their own little home and niche here, the diversity of which has transformed Felth's landscapes and cityscapes like no other planet before.

The relatively recent discovery of Abhourite, a living substance that grows through cell division, has progressed Felthian technological advancement by leaps and bounds. It's effects on their semi-organic and symbiotic machines borderline 'magical' and have allowed Felthians to accomplish tasks that few dreamed of only a few short decades ago.

Unfortunately the poorly studied substance is only now starting to show the disturbing side-effects of long term exposure to both users and the environment.

I'm going to need to spend some time working through the art I haven't had time for lately, and figured it'd be tidier to have it's own journal instead of cluttering my main page.

I work at a restaurant from 8am-9pm, which doesn't give me a lot of time. Thanks for being patient and understanding.

I've been working slowly lately, thank you all for being patient. <3

I've been dead for almost a year, but things are getting better. I'll be posting a lot more often and working my way through my horrible queue. No charge to anyone, of course. I did write a huge 'I'm back and working' journal but I tried to post it while my internet was down, lost it and really don't have the inclination to get all heart-felt with you guys again. Long story short, I work too much to be a respectable artist.

In the meantime I'm looking to commission a few artists but I don't have a lot of contact with the people I used to commission before and hunting down the perfect artists for my project is a little tricky, so.

No one likes an inactive artist, so I'm sorry to all for the delay. In my last update I mentioned how my partner and I extended our cafe hours, well we've recently extended them further. Things are rough.

Even so, I have been trying to make time for my art, I lost the pen to my tablet and haven't been able to afford a replacement, so I've been limited to working with a mouse which is making things slow and horribly frustrating.

At the least, I've taken small amounts of time to work on things that are easier by mouse, trying to improve my pixel art and working towards a demo release for my game HL. Again, though, my time is badly limited and I'm really not getting through anything quickly, at most everything I have is hanging in wiplimbo until I can sort my shit out.

Commissions will all be done for free, and pending requests will be finished to commission quality, as soon as I'm able.

Hey guys! Just a quick life update because my notes are flooded and I just don't have time to check them yet!

My partner and I decided to extend the opening hours of the cafe, so I'm now working 12-11 every day. I'm finding it hard to get much time. This won't last too long though. In the meantime my queue will be pretty stagnant and I'm sorry for the extended inactivity.

I'll be closing my queue shortly, through march, reopening
again on the 1st of april. Anyone wanting requests or commissions are still

During march I'll be spending some time focusing on my own works, to
try and improve my style and explore some concepts I've been doodling
in a small sketch book I carry with me, it will also be a good time for me
to work a little more on a game development idea I've had in the works.

That all said, consider march your month of concept art, so monsters,
items, locations etc. Along with a lot of notes about the game and my
plans for it. Maybe some interface stuff. I love interfaces.

I'd also like to give out a big thank you for my first month actively drawing
for all you lovely people, I've gotten to work with a quite a few interesting
characters and I've really pushed myself to work better. I feel a little more

Hi all!

I've been having time off a bit lately, so there have been some more delays.
A lot of my lead queue is still being handled via note though, so I'll likely
update in a batch once I've finished the few I've been working on.

I'm also going to start linking up Wips and delay reasons on my page,
an example is frustratingly painting the sky for  bluefiresilverfang
which has taken up a lot of time. I'm enjoying learning new ways to
paint clouds, but of course in the meantime the picture is hanging in
wip status. I tend to get these hangups often, and thought it might be
good for commissioners to know rather then noting them something so
unimportant or leaving them completely in the dark.
(I mention this because he's been head of my queue for some time!)

What are some things you guys have dealt with negatively while dealing
with artists or even commissioners, and ideas on how I could better
handle these things to keep everyone comfortable and in the loop.

I'd also love to write a compilation guide for starting artists, for sure
some really need to read something like that, haha!

Anyway, still alive and still painting for you, just a little slowly. ;w;

and now I really REALLY want to draw a pokemon.

It'll likely be a speedpaint done in stream, but I'll take a lot of
creative liberties. I want to make whatever pokemon I pick look
super alien and interesting.

Work has smashed my time this year, I was so looking forward to a christmas ych

On the plus, I have a new tablet incoming next year and I'm very very excited to
play with the triple pen pressure compared to my current, so I might do some

Freebies and PWYW comms seemed like a great way to
get started, so it's pretty simple.

Just reply with a price from $0-$25, with a character
reference, what you'd like and maybe some key words
or expressions for me to play around with.
