I've used a number generater to choose 5 numbers from 25. We got numbers 7,9,13,23 and 25, checked a couple of times to make sure I got the right corresponding entries.
This gives me a list of:

-This journal will stay open until Monday evening, about 10pm on British time GMT (I'll then close it and randomise the winning entries when I get in from college!)
-This is NOT first come first serve, I will choose five slots raffle style from the entries. Feels like a fairer choice than first-come.
-Payment is accepted through Paypal. I will send a sketch and flat colours for approval / changes before tone work is started.
-I start a new part time college course on Monday 19th. Together with having a full time job this does stretch my time a bit thin so if the artwork you need has any kind of deadline on it I would urge you not to request a slot this time because I don't want to dissapoint by not being able to produce on time! Your patience would be very much appreciated but I will try to turn these around fairly promptly.
-The cap on the number of characters per single slot is four.

I would like to take on five slots by opening a journal next weekend. I will most likely post it on Saturday night (after I get rid of my parents who are visiting me that day lol) and let it run through Sunday while I try to near enough complete my halloween costume to free up more time. It will not be first come first serve, I will close the journal and pick slots at random. Two important notes:
- I will expect payment up-front by Paypal
- I start a new part time college course on Monday 19th. Depends on our group size already. We tend to have to notify restaurants ahead of time how big our party will be. Seriously it's been about 30 before now XD

About commissions...
Posted 14 years agoHad a few queries recently about when I am going to open slots. I know it's mid July and I had planned to take slots starting in June but I havn't been making very fast progress through my current list. I only seem to be completing one full colour and one new sketch a week at the moment, but I've also been trying to put the odd night or two into working on my practice fursuit head as well. Weekends have been very busy with little to nothing worked on while I've been out!
I can open more slots and turn them around a little faster if I open for cleaned-up sketch with simple colour only, will do that when I clear another three from my current list. Anyone after a full lines and clean colours piece may have to wait a little longer ^^;;;
Please note I will open raffle style journal to give people a fairer chance of getting a place rather than first-come first-serve.
Thank you for all recent watches, faves and comments, it means so much to me as I battle on to try and improve my style and technique <3

Posted 14 years agoI'm not much of a blogger so I won't do a review of the weekend (I have a tiny brain and too short an attention span for that) Suffice to say much awesomeness was had with all my favourite peeps and a lot of booze was drunk. I know this because in places I remember jack shit and my bank account appears to be empty <3

I'll be taking a well earned hiatus to the end of the month. Going on holiday to Greece so wouldn't be able to achieve much anyway lol On my return I'll be conducting a clean slate operation on all arts I currently owe, then I'll be taking on a little new work. I will notify of slots here on FA
Other personal projects: will be having a crack at some sculpting and possibly *possibly* a fursuit head of a character I will design purely to use up some of the mass of scrap fur I've accumulated now from other suits, and will probably auction this to replace some of my equipment and put towards some new fur materials!

One slot art auction for a good cause - CLOSED AND WON

winI ran this idea past my Twitter just to gauge interest and make sure my plan wasn't in bad taste in any way.
I'm a little skint after forking out for my EF ticket and accoms, but I really want to make a donation to the Japan benefit, probably through Red Cross. I know that Japan is a developed country and that there have been disasters in other countries where they have more trouble helping themselves, but as a long time Japanophile this feels closer to my heart. They gave me my art inspiration, my fursuit making inspiration through cosplay, and the last three years three wonderful holidays where I stayed in fantastic places and each time met some really lovely and genuine people. It's more about me wanting to give something back rather than debating which country is really more needy.
Explaination over, on to the fun part. I'm home for the weekend with my parents and have a whole Sunday to myself. Rather than just opening a single normal commission slot on a first come first serve basis (which would be over in the first hour probably and not give more people a chance) I'll host one of these 'auction through journal comments' style things I've seen people do on occasion. It will run from whenever I finish blathering on until Midnight on British time. Payment will need to be pretty prompt so only join in if you have the funds to back your bid.
The premise: A two character full digital pic (see my iron artist pics for recent examples) of a furry character of your choice (that is your own fursona, someone else's that you have permission to use or one of my own if you so wanted (lol) with my own bad boy
On this occasion Zero won't discriminate against females or herms, and the two character pic can be as tame as them just chilling together or doing the sort of the thing you only see on Discovery Channel XXX
There are some limitations as always to the fetishes I'll draw, see my previous Iron Artist journal posts for what I won't draw. Zero also has his own set of guidelines on his page in the profile info, but they can be bent a little on this occasion :P Anything porny I'd rather both participants were anthro style, but a normal pic can have human or feral characters if you wish. Zero is a switch (although I still seem to make him subby a lot) so you can have whoever you want in dom or sub roles.
Anyways, thought this might be a fun little way to use some spare time (I'm pretty intregued to see who and what Zero ends up doing lol) and have the money go to a good cause, soooo ready steady GO!!!!

Posted 14 years agoBeen in a bit of a funk recently, lost my inspiration a bit over the last three weeks to draw or work on my fursuits or be online much, but I am okay if anyone wondered why I'd sorta disappeared.
Feeling slightly more on form today, cancelled all my plans to go out this weekend to get some solid work in because I think that if I can make a decent bit of quality progress it'll bring back my spark that seems to have dimmed recently. Think I've just been suffering burnout and some tensions at the day job (not mine really but I have to witness it) which has left me a bit drained. I've dropped significantly behind schedule but if I can't make up enough time to take on any additional projects at the very least I can complete what I promised and have taken monies for.
So sorry for the delays and inactivity, I'll get my shit together I promise ^^

Posted 15 years agoOh gawd, all I've done the last five consecutive days is sew ;_; Little bit of a break for the weekend but then back to it again on Monday I guess. Had a touch of artblock as well so probably try to have a doodle some time next week. There just arn't enough hours in the day to do everything I wanna do!

Zero (panda) - I will be highly protective of this suit and won't appreciate being rough-housed or scritched until my fur is practically bald. Zero won't dance, won't bounce or run around or roll about on the floor. He will lounge around, drink, accept hugs and pose for photos.
Pepper (goat) will dance, run around, hug, pose for photos, be generally daft. Same goes for Ayari (wild dog) if he makes an appearence.

Getting prints of furry artwork o.o;;;

Can anyone recommend an online art printing service, pereferably UK based, that wouldn't report me to the police if I sent some of my artwork for prints? If I have go outside the UK to avoid the obscene material clause so be it, but tbh I'm unlikely to get anything outside of erotic nudity or relatively tame yaoi done.
Any thoughts or experiences? x

Posted 15 years agoOkay, I went out to compare and price up internets and I've opted for Sky :) The deal seems way to good to be true, even cheaper than O2 with my mobile contract discount but I'm contracted for 12 months, let's see how it pans out
So I should be able to resume normal service in a week or two :D Sorry I can't respond more to shouts and messages but using FA at work really gives me the fear :S

Still no internets
Posted 15 years agoSeveral phonecalls have at least totally closed off my last internet account at last, which was trying to still take my cut-off fee I was not liable for. I totally don't have £80 to lose by accident >_< I waited four weeks to get my address added to the 02 broadband system as well only to find out at the end that it's not available to my address! Should also tell Nokia thier phones suck as mine has decided it likes to crash if I try to send a text.
Bit of jetlaggery and some other flat related things to clear up when I got back but am back on the the comms again. Two complete, two sketched/being altered and bit more info to collect on others. Slightly out of order but I have been working on the first five together rather than in order. The plan is to have a couple more complete by Friday.
I found a hidey-hole to check FA at work now :P Rather than sneaking into the main office at night I've found I can hide in the canteen and pick up the wireless guest account :D So updates should be a bit more regular, I havn't disappeared into the abyss...

The BAD news - My flat move is complete in everything but the internet connection. My flat is quite new and O2 didn't have an entry for it on their system, so I've had to come out of contract while they process adding my address because it could take up to... six weeks o_O;; It means that I might not be able to pick up messages for a few days at a time when I sneak back into work after everyone has gone home to use FurAffinity, for I am a secret furry XD
The GOOD news - otherwise my iron artist work shouldn't be affected, because I an currently saving all the request info on a mem stick and taking it home to work on inbetween internet droughts :D Koronis has a sketch done first purely because the details came before I lost my connection and I needed to be productive while I waited for the chance to pick up other details, but I'll be working on the other slots around it together. I'm off to Japan next Thursday but the first five slots will all at least have seen their sketches and a couple may be completed.
