Posted a week ago- Lego avengers : strange tails : https://www.imdb.com/fr/title/tt38692893/
I don't know why the shows is focussed on Hawkeye, which despite being good in the role, feel out of place when you see others Avengers available in the first part. The second part, with the catvengers team, is more interesting regarding the cast. It's a silly and funny show, nothing really big or surprising happening but enjoyable. 3.25 barks out of 5
- Gaorangers : https://powerrangers.fandom.com/wik.....ntai_Gaoranger
The next step on me going back in time, I reached the super sentai origins of Wild Force, a season of Power Rangers I quite liked. First season of the 21st century, it shows : the CGI was really hard to watch. I don't blame them, they did their best and didn't cheapen as far as i know, but it was visually difficult at times (i reached timerangers and despite being older, it is less a problem). The characters are good and the stories are ok, but it suffers from comparison to much better modern writing as a lot is trope based. Still it has some really good episodes and is good in general. 3.75 barks out of 5
- Marvel Zombies : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Zombies_(miniseries)
Taking a different take to the original Marvel Zombies comic story to give it a more focussed storyline and basing it on the events of the MCU, this mini-series was really surprising and interesting. I totally didn't expect how things played out and the ending, which is really good. I had a lot of fun watching it and look forward to the announced season 2. 4 barks out of 5
- Peacemaker (season 2) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peacemaker_(TV_series)
Doing a lot of heavy lifting to switch from the DCEU to the new DCEU without changing anything to the original season was quite something to accomplish, while also following the storyline of the animated creature commandos and still being a really good and unique super hero series. The struggles of most of the characters are really well written and there is some really good episodes, with quite the unexpected finale. The criticism of the modern American society (and westerner society in more general) is really a good point of this show. 4 barks out of 5
- Beast wars second : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beast.....m_Transformers
I have been looking for this one for a long time, having found only a couple episodes before (but still haven't found beast wars neo, the sequel to this one). It's the Japanese sequel to Beast Wars (and so, kinda set between Beast wars start and end with Beast Machines, it's a bit more complicated than that but i'm simplifying) but it has no real link to it. It's a self contained story with really strong japanese values but in general it is really cool and has those really good animal transformers (those are among my favourites, I loved getting Leo Prime irl in the Legacy toyline). It's pretty old and cheap at times, but still a good show. 3.5 barks out of 5
- Kpop demon hunters : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KPop_Demon_Hunters
Quite the surprise hit, I was not ready for how good it was. I knew it was super popular (my niece love it) but I didn't think it would go so deep with the Korean heritage and folklore. All without sacrificing a good story, good characters, great animation and banging soundtrack. It's just super good all the way, really well written and paced. I don't remember really being anything bad outside of the really classical predictable story. 4.25 barks out of 5
- Wolf King (season 2) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolf_King
The first season did a great job introducing us to the characters, the world, the backstory and setting up for the second season. But I feel that the second season is too short for all that is happening in it. There is too many characters which all need to get through their arcs with also getting a main plot and a secondary plot at the same time. It's still good, but it is sadly weighing down on the general feeling about the season, which feel rushed and compressed. It is sad, I would have liked to know more about the world. Maybe someday I'll check the book series, but I had never heard of it before this show. 3.5 barks out of 5
- The pitt : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pitt
I stumbled in my youtube feed on doctor Mike's channel and a critic of an episode of this show. Since I loved ER as a kid and this felt like a spiritual sequel (I know, it was originally imagined as a direct sequel but it didn't worked out). It is really well written, great acting, really strong storylines (I know I only did a couple of weeks working in an hospital, but I have seen many of the things seen there) and has such a great pace. I really loved it. 4.25 barks out of 5
- Alien earth : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alien:_Earth
I was really excited for this tv show, for I loved Alien 1 & 2 and the Alien Earth and some of the recent comics have been so good. And for most of the series, it is totally deliver. It starts to get less good when the Lost boys started to get over too much of the story and take over the fear of xenomorphs on earth. It is really sad as the last two episodes, especially the last one, ruin the series so much. 3 barks out of 5
- Pupstruction (season 2) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pupst.....tion#Season_2_(2024)
This really good show is just cute and has such a catchy tune. It's still a really cute and nice shows for toddler (yes, i know, you can do the jokes), with really friendly characters. The stories are most often really toddler level with toddler level solutions that make no sense for anyone older thinking about it. It's just nice cute stuff for a babyfur like me. 2.75 barks out of 5
- Lego dreamzzz (season 3) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego_Dreamzzz
Introducing a totally new bad guy not related to the first season (contrary to the 2nd season one), it's a criticism of our screen based society, the death of imagination and lack of dreams. Pretty on the nose from Lego which sells toys based on imagination and that aren't on screens. It's full of references to sets and previous season, it is really interesting if a bit predictable. I quite enjoyed it. 3 barks out of 5
- NCIS : Tony and Ziva : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCIS:_Tony_%26_Ziva
Outside of featuring the two named characters and referencing some of the characters in dialogue, the links to the bigger NCIS franchise are non-existent, to a point to which is to make little sense. Still, it's a nice mini-series about a spy story with two interesting characters with a lot of backstory and so many troubles on their way (even if some are a bit too unbelievable). 3.25 barks out of 5
- 7 Deadly sins : signs of the holy war https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_S.....ns_of_Holy_War
While I have been enjoying the sequel series the four knights of the apocalypse it is good to have a series that is set right after the original series and let us enjoy the original cast again. I haven't seen all the independent movies but I really enjoyed a return to the series. I really liked the original sins and their support cast and this series is focused on that, finishing arcs and moving forward with the aftermath that is skipped in the Knights. It was really nice if a bit short. 3.75 barks out of 5
- Star wars visions (season 3) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_.....ions#Volume_3_(2025)
As an anthology series, there is always some that you like more than others, for example I really struggle with the last episode of this one (even if I got why they wanted to tell) but it's hard to really be mad about such a project. So many good ideas, great visuals and such different visions of the star wars universe, nearly all that I would consider canon somewhere in this galaxy far far away and the long history from before the movies. The third part of the samurai sith story was as always really good, being a favourite, but there is a lot of others good ones. This anthology is just so good. 4.5 barks out of 5
- Kaamelot the movie : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaame....._First_Chapter
Kaamelot is one of my favourite tv shows, but I had been so disappointed by the last season that I never got around watching the movie until it was put on disney+ (and it was amusing, since I had actually requested this series to disney+ by the past). It is a much darker than what I came to love, a really silly full of joke version of the Arthurian myth while still using a lot of the most obscure part of it. You can see the original humour from time to time and the story in itself make sense, but it is just not what I was looking for. 2.5 barks out of 5

Got a medication for my panic attacks
Posted 2 weeks agoTalked to my psychiatrist today and mentioned with more insistence about my panic attacks. I was prescribed Alprazolam (Xanax) for them. It was getting to such a point as those paralysing attacks could last hours and put me in so much pain. I know have some in preparation for nordicfuzzcon.org

Looking for an artist to draw my character in training pants

[rant] another rant, no need to read. Just need to vent
Posted a month agoSocialising always end with me as a monster, so I'm the problem.
Tried to be helpful. Read what was said, took the problem per what seemed the most important factor. Offered solutions. People get in and ignore the factor and tell me I'm wrong.
Guy ask a question. I answer with examples regarding it, never said my own opinion. Guy complains I'm whining. Yeah, reporting other people's feelings is me whining. Left the two groups and thinking of giving my NFC ticket to Snow's mommy. That way I don't have to fear the convention for 6 months

[rant] bank...
Posted a month agoI can't seem to get a break. Paying for NFC got my credit card blocked, they validated the payment but didn't allow any payment after... I discovered it when paying groceries, which of course gave me a panic attack as I kept seeing my card denied... I had some cash on me so I was able to pay but it was horrible... I headed to the bank, still in panic attack (which I didn't needed after the horrible one two days ago), told me it could be fixed for free on their website... gone on the website, it was impossible to do so... called them and they told me at the bank they were wrong, it can only be done through application on phone (which I don't have) or by them for 12 €... so I paid... This week is really hitting me...

Loupy's room
Posted a month agoI joined a rp discord channel to talk to some people there and they gave me a room sub-channel so here is the description I made, even if I don't think it'll be used : Loupy's room is quite different from your usual room for a 25 years old boy. It is brightly coloured with cartoons characters, in shade of pink, which contrast with the poster of anime and others tv shows fitting for a nerdy teenager. There is a bookcase full of nerdy things : boardgames, ttrpg, books and toys from his favourite series which is facing an adult sized changing table with a dresser full of adult sized baby supplies and toys, next to a crib full of plushies (to Loupy's embarrassment). A desk with a computer and a mix of school supplies, anime figurines and transformers and baby toys like a pacifier complete the furniture. A closet is set in the last wall, with a poster of a paddle with "Behave or be brave" and one with "Your rules : be padded, dress up as a girl, be a good princess" which always make the male wolf blush when he looks at it. I wanted to play with the duality of baby / teenager and being a boy and dressed as a girl.

I discovered this series through the US adaptation, and wanting more I gave the french original version a shot. How gosh how did I regret it, all the characters are annoying, instead of focussing on the investigations, they focus on how none of the characters are redeemable and involve them in completely stupid storylines. I don't know why I kept watching despite it and I watched all the seasons available, but it was never made better. The US version (which just started its second season) is much better. 2 barks out of 5

Continuing trying to find more of the Lego Masters (Can't seem to find some like the german one at all) I stumbled unto this version. The guy who won and said he would take the place of the Brickmaster is Brickmaster here with the usual Amy, but since the former one was coming from Denmark, for a smaller shorter season, it is not surprising they found someone closer. As one aimed for kids, the challenges are much more simpler but it is still cool to see what they do. 3.5 barks out of 5

This series has been my favourite live-action so far and this season doesn't change that. It wasn't as good as the previous season, as some episodes (especially the last one) were a bit... not fully baked. Like they had some ideas but didn't fully consider how they didn't worked. The... forced solution of the final episode keep hitting me as how bad it was implemented while everything else could have worked, even if not great. But still, great actors, great star trek and good writing, I still gives it 3.75 barks out of 5

Fiona and I were looking forward toward this sequel, which delivered on what we were expecting. It is good that it starts and has a lesson how being good doesn't solve all the problems in your life. The animation is super great and there is so much happening. The story is cliché, it is super predictable but it still works despite the little mistakes (and forced return of some characters). It is so energetic and all over the place at times, it was really funny and engaging. 4 barks out of 5
- The sandman (season 2) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sandman_(TV_series)#Season_2_(2025)
Thanks to a friend, I had listened to part 1 & 2 of the Sandman audiobooks, so I knew the first story arc of this season but not what happened after it. So I was able to notice a lot of changes, as sadly they fused together so many stories together. It is still a coherent story and really interesting, but it is hard to recognise at times (like Fiona thought one character was another one, since she had the storyline of the second one but also of the first one), and the second arc was totally new (and the special final episode which is set as a spin-off story). There was so much they could have done to improve, but having to close at the second season was a big mark against it. 3.75 barks out of 5

I had skipped this one when it was released because they weren't much talk about it. It was not a good idea, as it ended being really good. - Futurama season 10 or 13 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futurama_season_10
A nice season, it is the same hard hitting humour and criticise of our society that I like so much. Quality, as always, is a bit up and down (the zoidberg episode was super annoying) but in general I had a lot of fun. It is always quite a surprise to see more episodes of that show, which was cancelled so so many times, so I'm always happy to watch. 3.25 barks out of 5
- Hurricaneger : https://powerrangers.fandom.com/wik.....i_Hurricaneger
Continuing going back in time with super sentai, it is getting really really hard, as the old stuff is so... old... The writing, filming and special effects are all set to values that modern cinema has moved away. I know it but sometimes it is hard to ignore it and relativise. It's getting even harder with Gaorangers, which I just started after finished this one. But it was still good and interesting. Super sentai knows what they want and even for a by-the-numbers season it was still quite a delivery. The ninja aspect is much better delivered in the original even if the Power Rangers adaptation did better on the story. But the anniversary movies do so much for the world building too. 4 barks out of 5
- Lego Star Wars : rebuild the galaxy (s2) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego_.....ild_the_Galaxy
Changing the title for the second season made it hard to find it on Disney, because it has a crappy search system, which stumped Fiona and I when we decided to watch it. It still really good, working out a lot of the odd stuff of Lego Star Wars and the real Star Wars universe together in a really amusing and silly way. It sadly suffers from being only 4 episodes long when they clearly had enough material to do much much more. As someone who has a Lego Star Wars collection and that make stories which are like Rebuild the galaxy, a mix of all eras and such, I really enjoyed it... I also would like more toys from this series but they sadly don't release many (I bought all but the Black Falcon). 4 barks out of 5
- Superstore : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superstore_(TV_series)
I found this on Disney+ as I was trying to find something to watch, as I have much more free time to myself those days (even when I have a full day at unemployment, they are less than 10 minutes away from my home so I can go home for lunch and relax there). It was not great at the start, but I was willing to give it a chance. It did quite improve and all the struggles of low wage workers was something I related to quite a lot. There is bad storylines and a lot of not great jokes, but in general I had plenty fun and it was time to end by the 6th season. There is one character that look like Snow irl that I loved to have jokes with. It was nice. I gonna need to find something else to binge. 3.25 barks out of 5

Posted 3 months ago- The red ranger become an adventurer in another world : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_R....._Another_World
As a super sentai and power rangers fan (you'll find a super sentai review later in this journal), the concept of a super sentai hero ending in a D&D like environment was super appealing (amusingly enough, I read a couple decades ago an article in a rpg magazine using the same concept). It was really silly and amusing. The fact the heroes are based on band-aids and relationships still work as a sentai, and there is a lot of great world-building and funny moments. I loved it. 4.5 barks out of 5

Since the original two Predators movies, I have been following the franchise sparingly. The concept of a guy being reincarnated as a vending machine and then ending in a D&D like universe was too silly for me to not try (hey, see up for another izekai ) but i thought it would have a hard time keeping the concept going for long. But we are an handful of episodes in season 2 (but this review is of S1) and it's still going strong. I really enjoyed the silliness (i want to see the bear as a caregiver and the 4 Tasmanian devils in diapers too) and the world building. It has a lot of original ideas and humour. 4.5 barks out of 5

A lot of people have been asking me about this tv show when it was first announced, but I didn't really looked it up until recently. It is beautiful, really nicely animated, all characters are super cute and it's a really nice kid show and it has a little historic blurb at the end explaining how was the lives back then. As a wolf, I always would like an orphan wolf pup, but it is good by itself. The main problems I have with the series are the sometimes weak and that it shows the court of the french kings are really nice place, forgetting all the arbitrary suffering it created (for a french show, that is surprising). 3.25 barks out of 5

After the awful previous movie and, while I enjoyed the campy duology that precedes it, nothing really good on cinema screens for Marvel's first family, this movie changes things. Skipping over the origin story, as they assume that people know enough that giving you the basis and their first steps into learning their powers will be enough, and for me it worked. That let us go onto a deeper story with more interesting challenges and in depths relationships. It was really nice and fun, I loved the alternate world based on the 60's but with more advanced technologies than ours. It is quite an interesting worldbuilding and serve the characters really well. 4.25 barks out of 5

I know I made a review of this season, but Disney messed up the season release so much, adding episodes at the end of season 1 at various moments, so I thought I watched them all and such... only to discover I was missing the last 3 episodes which is the finale. So the finale battle deliver on a really nice battle, with challenges and good actions. Earthspark has been a mix bunch in general, with some episodes being quite good and others not so much. Targeting a younger generation and having much more human characters than usual while taking a totally different setting than the usual Decepticon / Autobot war, the general story works pretty well and there is some really original ideas that are really enjoyable. Age is again a problem, and will be more and more as I keep going back (I don't know how long I'll be able to keep going as the old style writing and special effects grate me too much). Again, the bad guy is linked to the destruction of the dinosaurs, here being part of the meteor who extinguished them (which means it was likely summoned by one of the later bad guys, either from the boukengers or the later dinosaur sentai's enemies), but from there is a really weird stuff. Final severance appointment
Posted 4 months agoSo, here it is. I had my severance appointment, I'll be jobless on august 15 officially. I am supposed to get a couple months pay in mid-late september for july + severance pay + not taken vacation. After that, I should have a year of unemployment at nearly full pay... after that will be left at what laws applies then, since such things changes nearly every year. Seems they lost some of my papers, I hope I can find them again ...
Making videos reviews of diapers ?
Posted 4 months agoPeople tells me I should be doing that, as nobody really read my written one. While I could edit some of my art into a vtuber, outside of reading my review, I don't see anything I could put in a post as I don't want to talk or move on camera, and I don't really much pictures of me wearing the diapers anyway... so it would be a still picture of the diaper while I read the text ? I don't have a fursuit to entertain while I review, nor have a place (nor the diapers) to make a long deep reviews, so I don't really know what I could put in a video...

Reusing the characters from the Potty Monsters diapers in which they are now allied with soldiers to face the Soggers aliens that seem to want you to leak... it’s not that clear from the printings and package. I really like the science fiction look of the bottom of those diapers but otherwise the design, like the Potty Monsters, is pretty bland. They seem to have quite the absorption and are pretty comfortable.

A new company that I just discovered when my friend put me in one of those diapers for my trip back home from his place. The diapers, has diapers go, are quite good but for the cuteness they aren’t. The printings are really small and dark, so you don’t really see them (as you can see in pictures) when you wear them. Outside of the package, I don’t really see the link between those 4 monsters (it seems a family, each have its own printing) and the potty outside of them wearing diapers. While cleaning Fiona’s place, I found this old diaper (they aren’t sold anymore as far as I could find) from back in the days (when ABDL diapers were really rare and expensive) and that I wore for a long time alongside many Tena diapers. They are absorbent and basically what a good medical diapers should be (good medical diapers are uncommon, because administrations aims for cheap diapers, a plague for people stuck in them in such places).

Tykable Soggers :

Reusing the characters from the Potty Monsters diapers in which they are now allied with soldiers to face the Soggers aliens that seem to want you to leak... it’s not that clear from the printings and package. I really like the science fiction look of the bottom of those diapers but otherwise the design, like the Potty Monsters, is pretty bland. They seem to have quite the absorption and are pretty comfortable.

One of the two Teddy Bears themed diapers this company released (the second are the Honey Tales), they are really soft and comfortable and despite their size they are really absorbing. They have a non-plastic front for the tapes but are plastic otherwise... they sure crinkled more often and louder than many diapers I usually wear. They are easily re-tapable and comfortable.

One of the two Teddy Bears themed diapers this company released with the Little Melody, they are even softer than those with a non plastic front (they are much more discreet than the Melody like this) but otherwise seems pretty similar. They have the same advantages of being re-tapable easily and really nice form fitting.

Really cute with three different printings (lion, tiger and bear !), they are really cute and comfortable. I put them through their paces during my trip to Scotland in 2025 and they didn’t disappoint. I really enjoyed them and will be happy to get some more in the future.

Those diapers are really cute, I picked them up because they were sissyish and I felt letting this show at the time. They have 4 really cute printings on the theme of dragons and video games, and as someone who is a geek and called a princess, dragons keeping me in diapers for sure appeal to me. I have grown to like that non-plastic front and I was really comfortable in those. Like all LNGU diapers they have the same advantages of being re-tapable easily and really nice form fitting.

A new company that I just discovered when my friend put me in one of those diapers for my trip back home from his place. It was really comfortable for the 5 hours drive, and it was able to take all of my leaks without any problem. As such, I don’t really know fully how easy they are to get here in France but it seems to be a bit limited. In general it was a really great diaper and I wish I would have been able to try them more than I did.

Those are super cute and comfortable; they really have this babyish look of the diapers I wore as a kid in the 80’s. Here goes the nostalgia kick. Those scented diapers are looking just so adorable, really perfect for a sissy. They are really good quality overall and the design is really great. But the price for a pack of 8 (yes, 8, when a pack of crinklz is about the same price for 15 !) is just so high, I can't really advise those diapers for general use, just for special occasion.

The best printing is on the bottom, because it is large enough you can see it fully and it look nice.

[rant]nightmares
Posted 4 months agoI don't know why, but since I lost my job I have been having more nightmares... I was already having some regularly those last few months as Snow and I have been planning for NFC. One of the most vivid one was Snow and I deciding to change our species to otter for some reason, and going to be an otter themed party at the convention... only for only Snow allowed in because he was the only one of us two with a fursuit. Showing how I feel I'll not be able to fit in. There were others in which people offer to babysit the plush and he goes with them, leaving me alone ; or he decides to stay with me and regret it as no-one want to come near me at all.
I don't remember much of the others nightmares, but I wake up in the middle of the night with a feeling of inequation and that I'm not good enough to find a new job and build things again. I accepted my previous job and suffered for nearly 8 years in it because, as an handicap worker with a mental illness, I was struggling to find a job and it was the only serious offer I had. I knew it would be crappy (the employer lied to me during the hiring interview all along)... I knew my place would close sooner or later but I hoped I could make it last until NFC and have less money worries about the convention.
Friends have been supporting, especially Snow, but I'm feeling I'm just abusing of their patience and that I don't give anything back to them. I'm not feeling suicidal any more, thanks to my medicine, but I feel the little voice at times telling me people would be happier if I wasn't around any more.

Posted 4 months ago- Asterix the big fight : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aster....._The_Big_Fight
Based on the French graphic novel series that I grew up on, this French animation tv show works many stories into one (but centred on the album that it shares the name of) and has good quality. The modern humour doesn't always work in the general style of Asterix, but in general it is still silly and mostly funny. I was really surprised about how they would make an entire series of one album, but as I said before, they added some others albums' storylines there too. 3.75 barks out of 5
- Dr who (Disney season 2): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who_series_15
I have been really enjoying this 15th Doctor, being so different yet reminding me of many of my favourite doctors. The stories have been a bit all over the place, there is no bad episodes but the quality is not always there to make them great episodes. The acting is never bad, it's all about the stories. The whole magic is introduced works at time and doesn't as others. I really wanted more of out of that doctor, it's a shame he leaves so soon. The season also feels a bit rushed at times, like they wanted to say more but couldn't, as some plot points are really glossed over. Still, i give it a 4.25 barks out of 5
- Thunderbolts * : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunderbolts*
I expected a pretty by-the-numbers movie but still really enjoyable, and some part of it really feel like it, like the underusing of Ghost or the really short time with Taskmaster. Some really important stuff like Bucky being a senator are really skipped over but then you have really good character development scenes, deep interactions, heavy storylines and a general good humour until the movie need to be deep and dark, in which it usually deliver. The story in itself is pretty predictable, especially when you remember most of the characters present here, but it still work pretty well. I don't know about the twist at the end, need to see how they'll build on it. 4.25 barks out of 5
- Watson : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watson_(TV_series)
So, made Sherlock Holmes a medical show and make it about Watson after the famous detective felt in the falls in Switzerland was a really original idea. So we get House, MD but with Watson in the role of House and he is a way nicer guy but it's the same kind of out of the hospital investigation to solve medical problems with a bit of conspiracy. It's a bit unbelievable at times (no, not all illnesses have a genetical solution) but I like the characters and the investigation. 3 barks out of 5
- Go Go looser ranger (season 2) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go!_G....._Loser_Ranger!
Disney tricked me by putting season 2 as the second half of season 1 on their websites, but I looked it up and found it. A really good follow-up to the first season, taking right away on the storylines and giving us a lot of world building. The world is way more than we thought it was and there is way more intrigues that one could imagine. I was enthralled and I really enjoyed everything that was happening, with really great fights and interesting bad guys (and there is a lot of bad guys in this show and really little good guys... even those who seems to be the good guys are really bad). I'm told the third season is the last, which is a bit sad, there was a lot to explore with this world. 4 barks out of 5

Sporting new powers and costume out of nowhere, the second season explore a bit more in depths stories and develop on the relationship. It's toddler stuff but toddler stuff I am here for. I quite enjoyed all the silly scenes and attitude even if a lot of the plots are just toddler logic. 3.25 barks out of 5
- Sherlock & daughter : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sherl.....k_%26_Daughter
I was surprised to not found one, but two, Sherlock Holmes based tv shows. I know the character is public domain, but two shows released at the same time ? Anyway, this one is totally different since instead of the modern era, it's the original era, set after the main era of the books and involving a daughter and bad guys coming from the usa (it was impossible to not have any American connection since it's an American tv show). The actors are good, the investigations done really nice, the overarching plot is a bit too convoluted but in general it delivers pretty well on the adventures of an older Holmes and his young daughter that he just discovered. 3.75 barks out of 5
- Blood of Zeus (season 3) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_of_Zeus
Delivering on the huge epic that was set up with season 2, we got a huge battle going with dangerous world threatening quests. The really good writing is still here and the good animation delivers on the challenges. Still a bit upset on the free gore at times or the weird design choices (typhon looks like a mix of a dragon and a demon, not really much Greek aesthetics) and it is really sad in general, but that gives much more weight to the challenges and the epic. 3.5 barks out of 5
- 7 deadly sins : 4 knights of the apocalypse (season 2) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_.....the_Apocalypse
Another season taking over from a continuing arc from a previous one, we get to learn more about the characters, the world and the general intrigue. The characters are sadly not that interesting in general, and the overall plot is going even more bonkers than the previous series with the reveal for the main character's origins (yes, that the third reveal of his backstory). This is a bit annoying at times but still some pretty good moments. 3.25 barks out of 5
- Dekarangers : https://powerrangers.fandom.com/wik.....tai_Dekaranger
Going to the counterpart of my third favourite power rangers series, Dekarangers is really big as we see them in a lot of crossovers. The main character is really annoying and really improve only at the end of the series but I love the investigations (they are more a cop series than SPD) and the characters' interactions (their Doggie Kruger is also a really cool character and his design works for me too). The main bad guy is a bit of a disappointment, he is a really dangerous and all that (i mean, all the bad guys have genocidal level of victims in this show) but he is so little involved in the plot that it is hard to really feel involved when he finally come for the finale. The movies and specials after the end of the series are much more interesting, and i'm sad that they didn't go further with the crossovers with Metal Heroes. 4.25 barks ouf ot 5
- Ironheart : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ironheart_(miniseries)
As expected for a series that has LGTBQ+ and a woman of colors, this was review bombed and a lot of those negative reviews are still weighing down the critics if you look online. But this short mini-series is pretty cool and build up from the introduction of the character from Black Panther 2. The character development and the whole thing about PTSD and the challenges with the villain were really interesting. I loved how it expanded at street level the MCU like the old Defenders show did and there is a lot of cool scenes with a lot of emotional moments. A lot of twists are really surprising and hint to something much bigger to come. I wish for more episodes to explore more the characters. 4.25 barks out of 5
- Gundam : witch from Mercury : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobil.....h_from_Mercury
So, another rehash of the colonies VS Earth fight, which is a bit repetitive with so many gundam iterations, but this one does take a bit more original take. The question of military technology used to help disabled people is a current questions, with a lot of exo-suit technologies being applied to disabled, and a good one to ask and explore. There is always the really great fight scenes that you can find in any gundam series, and there is plenty of it. The high school drama is a bit slow but in general it is a really good show. 3.25 barks out of 5

And yes, the french translation, since the characters make references to others famous series from the same show, have the host of the saturday morning cartoons of said show make a cameo, use all the tropes and references from the silly censored cartoon (the Mokkori, the sex part of the anime, are all removed from the french translation but a character is named from it). I watched it with a friend which is also from that era and it was so cool to get all the references. I was expecting something pretty crappy but it was actually pretty ok, having humor, an investigation and a lot of silliness. There is nothing I'll remember in a couple of days, but it was an ok movie to entertain an afternoon. 2.5 barks out of 5

There is nothing I'll remember in a couple of days, but it was an ok movie to entertain an afternoon. 2.5 barks out of 5

A big surprise, as the Netflix Defenders universe, while canon, was not really touched much by the MCU outside of some references and cameos, this series is a direct follow-up. With a big budget and people who seem to really care about the universe and what was told in the Defenders shows (2nd season already said they were bringing back Jessica Jones), we get a really well written and well choreographed series. I really enjoyed the series, which really delivered on the character with really interesting stories. 4.25 barks out of 5
- Kamen rider Zero-one : https://kamenrider.fandom.com/wiki/.....Rider_Zero-One
Another Kamen Rider series I was looking forward to, because the setting of a world in which cyborgs are living among humans is always a cyberpunk-related interesting setup. The main character is a bit annoying at start as a comedian, but he grew up and get more interesting at times passes. His secondary and tertiary riders are a bit underused in general (poor Valkyrie) and the bad guys are a bit weak, but the social commentary is on point, with real good discussions about AI and non-human intelligence. I had a lot of fun in general with this series. 4 barks out of 5

I have watched everything NCIS related (but the non-crossover JAG episodes) and I was looking forward to the one that is actually out of the USA. The Australian aspect is always interesting, especially as a friend of Bluey, and it deliver on good stories and good acting, with taking advantage of the Australian background. The characters are ok (but not as good as some from the original show and the other spin-offs) and really quirky (a bit too much at time), so I am always eager to watch the episode and the seasons are short so it doesn't go too annoying. 3.5 barks out of 5

They seem to have listened a bit to my complaints about the lack of character development, story progression and totally lack of actual threat as they have actually did all of this. The first season has been a banger, setting up the birth of the rebellion from the point of view of a random guy and we continues on this trajectory. The parallels between the three different stories that combine at the end for the finale was really good, it is written so well. There is so much world building while the characters are way more human and realistic than in most series. Also, it is so full of references, expanding the Disney Star Wars with lots of good ideas from the Legends Star Wars and works on creating a better and more coherent universe. It is so nice to have such side stories but that build up on the big movies. It only made me enjoy more Rogue One which only made me love more Episode 4 (which is my favourite movie). 4.75 barks out of 5

The story is better written, the world building is more coherent (so much of Magitopia makes no sense and is hard to fit in the general world) and sometimes the Japanese stuff doesn't work with the western style magician. It was still a pretty cool show, and I still love Wolfzard fire (I mean, a magic based wolf power rangers? What not to love?!). But magic and phones has a theme ? What's up with that ? From the trailer and all the controversies, I expected this movie to be pretty bad. The fact the secret of the red Hulk was already out pretty much out for everyone (I knew it from the comic) and that there was really little surprise in general. It was an ok movie. It works well in general, there is just... nothing really big happening. It aims to be consensual, to not offence anyone (especially about the fact the new Captain America is black) and resume quickly what happened in the Falcon and Winter Soldier tv show. A sequel to the original Hulk movie (which was much needed) but doesn't have the Hulk in it (so much fail with Ross and Bettie there), it's... ok. Nothing more. 2.75 barks out of 5

I still find the storytelling and visuals a bit all over the place and the free violence and gore doesn't always really bring anything but the humour, silliness and the character stories I really enjoy in Hazbin was there. 3 barks out of 5
- Captain America : brave new world https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capta.....rave_New_World
From the trailer and all the controversies, I expected this movie to be pretty bad. 2.75 barks out of 5
- The dragon prince season 7 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_.....#Book_7:_Dark_(2024)
Continuing on their great storytelling, character development and world building we finally get to the end of the story with the 7th season. There were a lot of surprises, really great character moments and well played dilemmas. The bad guy start to get a bit boring with his plans at the end but it is a minor problem in general. I was really invested in the characters and the stories and they get a proper ending with all this. It was quite a ride but I'm happy it ended, for it was good all the way. 4.25 barks out of 5
Back home
Posted 8 months agoI got home safely (but not dry). Assistance at Amsterdam helped a lot to get through the stupid airport. Problem was luggage got lost in paris for 30 minutes but still got an earlier train. Took laptop to warranty, since it stopped working on my last day, told me the battery got a bit of a overcharge and it took 2 days for it to reboot, something that do happens with electronic stuff you don't use regularly.
I made it to Scotland
Posted 8 months agoIt was a long trip to get there. Registering for Assistance was really helpful at many steps to help with the stress (the diaper did too). Amsterdam's airport was as bad as I remembered, but having assistance got me through. A change and a cuddle waited for me when I arrived at Fiona's.
Leaving for Scotland tomorrow morning
Posted 8 months agoI'm leaving for the train tomorrow at 6 am to get to Paris and then subway to the airport, from there it's Amsterdam then finally Aberdeen after 11 or so hours. If everything works out. I am super stressed about it, as always. We'll see how it goes. I'll not really have internet once I leave France until I get to Fiona's place, and after that my availability will depend what we do.
