I really enjoyed the first season, and the two later seasons are the same story continuing from the last point. It has a lot of great world building, character development, tense moments and lots of imagination. Their dreamworld was really enjoyable to watch, even if I wish they had put more effort into using legos in the show more (a constant complaint about lego tv shows, see below for Ninjago). 3.25 barks out of 5
- Agatha All Along : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agatha_All_Along_(miniseries)
I wondered what they would do in this show, since it's a sequel to the excellent Wanda Vision that was so original. I was also super excited to explore the magical aspects of the MCU, which was only touched by Doctor Strange and Wandavision. And the series deliver here, with a main character that is a villain and stay a villain throughout even if they shows she is multi faceted, lots of twists and pretty interesting storyline in general. The characters and their arcs are great, I wished for more episodes. It is really a must see and seem to confirm the possible young avengers storyline. 4.25 barks out of 5
- Mission impossible 7 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missi.....oning_Part_One
I have mixed views about this movie. It deliver on the action the series is known for, still has some good spy elements that relate to the original tv show (even if it has never been able to fully deliver on that) but the bad guy and their plan here really, really, doesn't work out for me. The whole AI thing and how to find it sound so full of holes it's just really unbelievable and that was something I couldn't get past. 2.75 barks out of 5
- Ghostbusters 4 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost....._Frozen_Empire
I have been waiting for a while to watch this one because it has such cold critics (yes, i did it, gonna use my diaper to warm myself up) but once reheated, it is ok. Just ok. It has good moments, interesting ideas, but in general is a bit slow and disjointed. The general plot is really predictable and could have used a bit more time out of the freezer. I don't really have much else to say as it was so ... just ok. Serviceable. 3 barks out of 5
- Superman & lois (season 3) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super....._Lois_season_3
I enjoyed the original season, season 2 was going down quite a bit, for season 3 i kept stopping watching after one episode as how boring and slow it was going. There is some really good plots, great characters storyline but the general story is boring, really slow and uninteresting in general. 2.25 barks out of 5
- Hit-monkey (seasons 1&2) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hit-Monkey_(TV_series)
This series was a surprise. I wasn't really interested but Fiona and I decided to give it a shot as we were running out of things to watch at the time. I knew basically nothing about the character, just that it existed, so I had no idea about what was going to happen. It was more gore that I would have liked, but that is my only real complain about it. It made a totally unknown character for the general public into a likeable interesting characters, with a bonkers story that is told over two full seasons (don't really see how they'll make a third) and with lots of really interesting twists and ideas. 3.75 barks out of 5
- transformers one : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers_One
This prequel movie not linked to any real franchise, and killed before it could really make a new series, it uses the comic general backstory of the characters in a more childish universe (the comics can be really dark). it's full of easter egg, has great characters and visuals, even if the humour often come as forced. I really enjoyed it and would have wanted to see more of it. The transformation of D-16 is really interesting, if not as well made as in the comics. The toy line is also disappointing as it is mostly centred around younger kids and are much less interesting to me. A nice movie but such a missed opportunity. 3.75 barks out of 5
- Gundam : requiem for vengeance https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunda....._for_Vengeance
So, the CGI characters works half the time only. Otherwise they look wrong in what they do or lack emotions. It is sad but things have so much progressed over the years. The mecha battles look really great, but there is so much less to animate in those. The story is really predictable, especially since it is set in the general gundam universe (I don't know much about Gundam, but I really felt it was the original series, which I watched, from another point of view). But it's enjoyable in general. 3 barks out of 5
- Lego Ninjago (seasons 12 - 16) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninjago_(TV_series)
So, the story has gone stale over the years, the characters seems to always forget their powers and skills from one season to another, the general story is quite a repeat in general (there is some exceptions like Nya's story as the water ninja). The final season get out with the bang, bringing everyone from every previous season for at least a cameo, if not more. This one was so much better than the rest, but it took me so long to get through all those seasons (and I discovered there is a sequel series explaining those weird ninjas we see at the end). Like previously said, they don't use the fact they are lego so much, with is disappointing. In general, 3.25 barks out of 5
- Vox machina (season 3) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_L.....of_Vox_Machina
I really enjoyed this season, which completed all of the characters' arc, had an overarching general story really good (even if I predicted the final twist easily) and there is so much D&D references the player in me couldn't stop smiling at all of those. The animation is great, same for the voice acting, the storytelling is good. There is some really nice world building, you know this was a world people lived in. I am really looking forward to the 4th season. 4 barks out of 5

Help me sanitizing my gallery
Posted a year agoI have been here since the site started and there is where I find most art I look at. I would like to stay. I removed hundred of arts. Again yesterday spent hours doing so. Let me know if you see any art or description of art that may be misconstrued ... I have been bullied for decades, suffered racism and such, and I wish this place wasn't the same as the real world, but one has to do what one can until a better opportunity shows up (and no, sofurry has been really unpleasant to me a decade ago, and rumours are that it didn't change, so i'm not going back there).

Continuing with going back in time with Super Sentai (for a time, instead of going on Go-onger, which I dread because of the vehicle spirits, I moved to do Kamen Rider Decade after the crossover with Shinkenger), here one I was really interested by, since I could get the samurai stuff without being seen through the american version of Power Rangers Samurai. The character tension is real, there is so much lore going on and the characters all have interesting arcs. The mechas aren't really great, but the fights are great. The entire samurai was really nice in general (despite being of Chinese origins, my mother was raised by westerners so I have no link to it, so I like Japanese stuff more than Chinese). 4.25 barks out of 5
- Pupstruction (season 1 &2 ): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pupstruction
I have been enjoying Rubble & crew way more than the latest seasons of Paw Patrol (despite no Rocky) and a series with the same concept by Disney ? I really enjoyed it. It is much better written and really cute, I love the four characters and the theme song... I have been going to work many times with the theme song in my head. They put so much more details, the getting their vehicle part as often small details being changed to fit the scenario, contrary to paw patrol. Really a good show for babyfurs. 4 barks out of 5
- MLP tell your tale (season 2) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Li.....Tell_Your_Tale
As far as I know, the series was cancelled because the people working on it were against Hasbro using AI stuff for their products instead of paying artists, something I support. While the first season has mostly antics and is 77 episodes long (if anyone has a way to download those episodes, I welcome it) the second season introduce a really interesting villain, lots of character development (especially for the 6th mane 6, which joined only recently) and some world building. It was helping a lot to make gen 5 be its own thing while still being a sequel to s4 but I don't know where it is going from there with all the stupidity from Hasbro. 3.75 barks out of 5
- Crisis on infinite earth (part 2 &3) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justi.....nfinite_Earths
Continuing the story from part 1, having three parts let the story be told in full, without cutting too much. It also has a lot of cameos and references, really exploring of lot of the multiverse but without giving it too much depths (which I regret). The story is a bit all over the place but it build up to the helplessness of the final battle. It is a good retelling of the second version of the crisis on infinite earths (from what I understand, they did 4 of those in DC I think, resetting the universe every time for new generations). 3,25 barks out of 5
- Knuckle : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knuckles_(TV_series)
So, this series is set after the second Sonic movie and explore how Knuckle learn to understand the human world before the third movie. There is a lot of budget for special effects and acting, but the story and characters are a bit weak. That sadly weight heavily on the series itself, making it hard for me to get as invested as I was with the movies. It end being a bit of a disappointment regarding the stuff that was at the start of it. 2.75 barks out of 5
- what we do in the shadows (season 6) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_.....n_the_Shadows_(TV_series)
I was a bit disappointed with this season. There is a lot of really great things happening, great silly moments and super funny things, but the general overarching plot and smaller plots are really disappointing and have little pay-off at the end. It seems they were starting to run out of ideas and running around with the old ones because they didn't know where to go. 2.75 barks out of 5
- Beetlejuice beetlejuice : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beetl.....ce_Beetlejuice
Guess we know what the third one would be named, for the joke... I loved the original one, but even more the TV animated show made out of it. The absurd silliness of it always worked for me. It is quite present here, but it also lack the charm and originality. The bad guy and its plan is not really used in any real way, just a backstory that doesn't really go anywhere while we have much about the consequences of the first movie (and how, according to Fiona, they wanted to hate the original father actor). This hate instead of a recasting sadly weight on the movie itself and the introduction of a third generation of the same family isn't fully used (but I saw the twist of the second villain). In the end, it is still enjoyable but a bit underwhelming. 2.75 barks out of 5

With how many kids left in the middle of the movie to be taken to the toilets, I was glad I was padded for it. It would have been sad to miss some of this really beautiful movie. It Is super predictable and the characters and plots are too. Nothing surprising ever, but it is super beautiful and really touching. I cried a bit at times. I mean, it's not because you have nothing original in your story that you can't deliver it in a different and beautiful way. It's creatively and superbly animated, with lots of adorable characters visually and while they are all archetypes, they still are really enjoyable to follow, and the fox in particular look so soft I wanted to pet it. 4 barks out of 5

It's even worse in this one, especially when you come to this thing Fiona pointed out : the adult minds don't have all those extra stuff we see appearing in this one. A lovely Chinese movie about a Chinese story, it is super predictable and suffer quite a lot of wrong pacing. The animation is ok in general, but also at times beautiful. I really love the appearance of the Chinese dragon and the source would likely be even better with more details about the culture in question. Here there is a lot that is hard to grasp because of cultural differences but I feel I had an enjoyable time in general with it. It is always a lovely story to learn about dragons. 3.25 barks out 5

The second of the Bad Guys tv specials, based on another holiday, the quality is as good as the previous one and is really enjoyable until the final twist (which is both predictable, but not believable, they even hint themselves at how unbelievable it is in the dialogues). It is sadly disappointing to have such an ending, because it leave a bit of a bad taste for what has been until then a really enjoyable little show with lots of details and funny scenes. 3.25 barks out of 5

The animated version of the original comic, the same story used for the movie. I watched an animated version as an independent story years ago, and it was much more clearer that way). If you like the original comic story, I think it's worth checking out. I didn't think the season was finished because it was so short, and quite uneven in the themes and storytelling. Some episodes were super good and enjoyable, some were just ok. It was a bit all over the place, and the replacement episode wasn't that great at all. I do love the general stories, the characters and their constant evolution to keep up with the trend of life and so on, but sometimes they seem to not really know where they are heading with their material (and other time, great twists on expectations). Still watchable and enjoyable. 3.75 barks out of 5
- Severance https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Severance_(TV_series)
So, first, the intro is so creepy... I was shivering every time we saw it. It is also so fitting for the story being told, it is so perfect at it. I can hardly really describe the story without spoilers, and I don't really truly understand all of what happened in it. It is really cerebral, really deep, lots of criticism of big corporation, and while some plot points are predictable for someone well-read like me, it is pretty hard to understand and fathom all that it is happening. 4.25 barks out of 5
- Ministry of ungentlemanly warfare : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_M.....emanly_Warfare
A nice, run-of-the-mill action flick, nothing really big or bad about it. It's an entertaining combat caper and the characters are classical but enjoyable. Not much to say about in general. 3.5 barks out of 5
- Young rock : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_Rock
I didn't really know what to except of a sitcom version of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's life would be, but it was sure super fun and entertaining. The season 4 was cancelled, but since it tells (in a non-chronological order, it follows Rock telling you about events in his life relating to whatever events happens in the current timeline (in 2032) from his early youth to his role in the Mummy movies, we have covered what is really important. The format is a bit confusing at times, but the scenes and acting are hilarious, it is in general super silly. And all the scenes with Dwayne playing as himself are also a great silly metaplot. I don't like wrestling, but I cared about all that happened here, even if it clearly a romanticized version of the real events. 4 barks out of 5

I like original cooking shows (like Is it cake. We tried Kitchen crime scene, it was a nice concept, but they were way to slow when it come to what happens in it, so I got bored and we stopped watching it) and this one really worked for me. Sure, it is not really that super original, but the entire class wars and setup really sold me on it. The korean translation was really good, even if sometimes there is a bit of cultural clash, but it was really nice. 3.75 barks out of 5

My first interaction with Tomb Raider was back when they released the first original game on PC back in the late 90's (I think my birthday in 1997 since it was given to my father by a guy worked at the studio making the french version, so not immediately after release). I enjoyed it back then (and, I like men, so the whole getting naked fake code never affected me) even if my lack of coordination meant I never finished it. I was really interested in the tv show and it was entertaining. Same visual style as the Castlevanina tv show from Netflix too, interesting characters even if there is visually cut corners at time. It is still a pretty good enjoyable show, I know a bit about later games and I saw many references to those everywhere. 3.25 barks out of 5

3.25 barks out of 5
Back home : it was a journey
Posted a year agoSo I'm finally home. Fiona have been sick for the past few days and I think she gave it to me, a sort of cold. It sure didn't helped with the trip home. But before that we have been to see Wild Robot, which has been a really enjoyable movie (and when I saw that all the kids in the cinema had to be taken to the toilets during its running, I was glad to be padded). The trip home was plenty painful, despite arriving two hours early, getting my boarding pass took one hour and I had to get body check again... Despite my plane leaving 10 minutes early, we landed 30 minutes late because other planes blocked Hearthrow. Still had time to get to my next plane, so for now, all was going ok...
Then things got horribly wrong. Some problems made my plane arrive late, then the entire plane's luggages disappeared. After 30 minutes, I asked the people from the airport to check if the delivery had gone to another gate (something that happened to me before), told me no without checking... guess what ? It has been delivered at the wrong gate. Some passengers noticed it but they didn't told others nor the airport, so when I finally noticed, it was already one hour since I landed. I saw my luggage from far away, I was running and asked a policeman if he could stop it before it disappeared, he basically told me to fuck off... Finally got it... got into the subway, only to hear an announcement that due to maintenance (maybe due to the storm that hit a couple days before) subway trains were being delayed and that we wouldn't move from 15 minutes (and later had multiple stops in the middle of the tracks).
I arrived at the train station, I had missed the first train and the second train (it was full, due to maintenance work, all trains to my town had been halved), and since I took a special discount ticket I couldn't exchange it. Paid then extra price to get on the next one, one hour later and finally started to have my panic attacks goes down, but I was in pain and such for hours by then. Climbed in the train, but thing seems not right... and they weren't... The train company had messed up the announcement and all the signs and people of two trains were in the wrong one. Took 15 minutes for people to switch trains after the trains were supposed to leave and it was super worrying since we didn't really get any confirmation it was the good train until minutes before they left. So I was in a huge panic attack when I finally got to head home... It was super tiring and such, and sure didn't helped with my sickness...

A really refreshing take on the youth of Superman as I stated in the review of season 1, I was really surprised where they were heading in season 2 (some stuff were a bit predictable, for people who know the lore, but in general it was original yet close to the source material), there is a lot of character development and interesting storyline (even if the supergirl one is a bit rushed in for me). 4 barks out of 5

So, as the wikipedia states, a right wing lower quality Bluey copy is pretty accurate but that doesn't mean it's a bad show. It's an ok show. It has some good ideas, visually it's cool and dynamic and having a bit more characters in the family unit do create interesting dynamics. Sadly, the homeschooling here is exactly what people who have good public schools complains about homeschooling : it is indeed pretty right wing oriented, especially since it's focused on american heroes and gloss over many bad points of their lives. It is still enjoyable but need to be taken with a big grain of salt if shown to kids, contrary to Bluey. 2.75 barks out of 5

It knows what it is, and go with the flow. There is many call-backs, the basic idea is the same as the original, but it's still fun and a bit mature. Eddy Murphy struggles with the most active part of his role, but it still works. I enjoyed it overall. 3 barks out of 5

We finally get to meet all 4 knights, which surprised me, and get a lot about their backstory and their personalities (one I find pretty annoying and one I love, but I don't want to spoil) and we get to see more and more of the old cast and see what happened in the past 16 years. The different, more adult Batman is quite interesting, the darker more mature tone and the really different characters origins while staying true to their source material are really interesting (the Harley Quinn introduction episodes bring a lot of really silly Batman villains with a really interesting origins story, including the big baby one, but Harley herself I didn't liked her origins. Her personality was interesting). So, in the end, it has a really mixed reception for me. So, the pokemon collectability is pretty annoying, especially since most cards don't really have much storyline or pay-off (I mean, some we don't even really know when and how they got them), the general storyline is really similar to Build (even in the design of some costumes), the characters aren't that great and the whole alchemy magic school is really nothing in general because they cast like 3 spells in general, and they don't really look like alchemy at all (it's more like Kabbale just like in Full metal alchemy). Gosh, I have watched nearly every Marvel Movie in the past 3 decades, and they are referencing nearly all of them ! And they are referencing also dozens of comics (I think I have recognized all the comics ones). Those people sure did take a lot of research and care to bring so much from so many different sources, and make it a coherent whole. While I think having watching all those materials before sure would help a lot to understand the movie, I believe only Loki season 2 is really required. The heavy rpg player i am (currently on 3 D&D 5th edition campaign and some other ones, just bought the FF14 tabletoprpg and of course, i play FF14 and Baldur's gate 3) couldn't not love the rpg based mechanics and storyline, and of course the silliness of the general idea. I was afraid the concept would feel rehashed and reheated after a few episodes, but it wasn't. I just love the interactions between the main character and his fenrir (i'm also currently watching chillin in another world with my overpowered skill, which same has a main character from another world into a mmorpg world, agenre called an isekai i learned yesterday, who befriend a fenrir and a similar concept of an overpowered ability, and it is also really good). Another mmorpg based universe, with also cooking, just like the previous review, but with even more silliness and a deeper story. There is a really compelling story and characters, who are on a real dangerous and difficult quest with a lot more world building than Campfire Cooking, which make it different once you get past the start cooking-only focus of the start of the season (which is still really enjoyable, loved to see how things would play out). But the quest is enthralling and the world building is great, so I really had a lot of fun and I want to see the second season (I even considered buying the paper manga), so 4.5 barks out of 5
- Doctor Who (Disney season 1) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who_series_14
Also called new who season 14, the authors states it's a reboot / restart so it is season 1 to them (and Disney), so I have gone with the authors' intent here. The really different take from the doctor and his companion, the huge references to previous seasons and many others points make it a really different season in general, as is the more magic-tone set from the change in the timeline in the introductory episodes for the 15th doctor. But such a tease about the doctor's family, i really hope more come from that, they have been clearly working on exploring some of the never answered questions of the whoniverse. There has been some really good plot twists I didn't see coming. 4.75 barks out of 5
- Tots (season 2-3) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T.O.T.S.
A really cute and nice little show, they brought a bit of a more pre-school theme with the later seasons to bring some fresh new ideas, which saved the show. There is nothing about a 4th season from what I could find, which is a good idea since it was starting to chase its own tail and had troubles finding new ideas. The characters are interesting but have little character development (characters have done the same lesson multiple times), and little recurring characters or follow-up storylines. You can't keep going for too long like that, so it's 3.25 barks out of 5 in the end.
- Tokumei Sentai Go-busters : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokum.....tai_Go-Busters
I finished another season of Super Sentai, and keeping going back in time, here come Go-busters (currently is Goseiger), which I was really looking forward to. I had loved Beast Morphers, the power rangers adaptation of this one, so I was really wanting to see what differences they would be. I didn't expected what I was going to see, a spy sentai fighting really interesting intelligent AI and their development. The main characters are a bit bland but they grew up on me, but the bad guys (especially Enter) have been the highlight of this series. There is a lot of world building and great stories, I mean, the one about an alternate timeline ranger team is one of the best super sentai movie I have ever seen. Another really good sentai series in general. 3.75 barks out of 5
- One-punch season 2 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One-P.....h_Man_season_2
The first season was a couple of years ago a surprise hit for me, for the concept of an overpowered super hero that defeat everything in one punch didn't sounded really like something interesting. But the world building, character development and plot was really interesting, sadly the second season doesn't deliver as well on the concept. There is some good world building here and there and great scenes, but the general tone is really boring without much happening. I was interested enough but in the end, nothing really great. 2.75 barks out of 5
- Camp cretaceous : hidden adventure : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_.....sodes#Special_(2022)
I have already reviewed Camp Cretaceous and the sequel series, but it seems I missed that one before. It's an interesting interactive adventure with real good development and fitting well into the storyline as far as i remembered it. It has the same quality as the show and is worth checking out. 3.5 barks out of 5
- Star Wars young jedi adventures : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_.....edi_Adventures
So, the first TV show based in the High Republic Era, yes, the same era as The Acolyte. And canon. But there is nothing important happening there that would interest a star wars fan. Outside of showing kids playing jedis, there is nothing really interesting with this show. It's really by the number tv shows, not using the jedi or star wars universe in general in any way. The ewok-like jedi is adorable and the main reason I watch, but outside of being here to attract babies, bring nothing. 2.5 barks out of 5
- Blood of Zeus : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_of_Zeus
Continuing from the first season ending plot line, what feel a lot like a prequel to the castlevania series by the same guy, this show takes the famous stories from the antiquity and reshape them in different and interesting new storylines. It is still too gory for gratuitous reasons for me, but otherwise is really interesting. i really wonder where it is going. As a fan of mythology, there is many many details that I have been really enjoying in those retelling. 3.25 barks out of 5
I couldn't watch it in one stay (not because my diaper needed changing) because it was so boring. It's beautiful, I'll agree, but the story is boring, the characters are boring and there is no depths or anything to it. It was true for the first one too, but this is the sequel... so what I gave leeway on the original for those points, I can't give it to the sequel. I believe the third one will be even worse after watching this one. 2.5 barks out of 5
- Campfire cooking in another world with my absurd skill (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campf.....y_Absurd_Skill)
A surprise discovery thanks to a friend, I just loved this show. I seem to like cooking anime with silly ideas and adding rpg based universes sure is all I want, so 4.25 barks out of 5

I was really wondering what this movie would be, but I wasn't expected to be entirely done in the style of 80's show, like Saved by the bell. As a child of the 80's, I really loved it. It was really silly, really capturing the Cage from the original two Mortal Kombat games (the only ones I played really), continuing the wordl building of the Mortal Kombat legends series and even, making mokap (a really silly alternate character from I think MK3) an interesting character ! If you like MK (there is a lot of free gore) 3,25 barks out of 5
- Kung Fu Panda 4 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kung_Fu_Panda_4
So, after true good movies, a bunch of really good tv shows and a few specials, why go and make a new trilogy ? Money, sure, but what can you tell in it ? The movie is super tropic, from start to finish. Everything is really predictable, from the plots to the characters (oh, expected betrayal was expected) but still, it is said in a really nice and colorful way and it work to make it a really nice entertainment. But I don't think they can really keep going if the quality and lack of original ideas is what this new trilogy is about. Now, I tried to find a list of all the spirits at the end, wondering where they came from (I recognised half of them) if someone has a way to identify them, I will be thankful. 3 barks out of 5
- Phantom of the paradise : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phant.....f_the_Paradise
I'm a big fan of the Rocky Horror Picture show (I want to watch it again someday, cuddling with someone) and I was really surprised about how much this movie (which I was introduced to by a friend) reminded me of it. It's the same kind of musical with silly over the top performances. I caught immediately on the parallels with Faust and the phantom of the opera and I enjoyed how they worked it into the story. The interpretation is really great, even if the age and technology sometimes shows. 3.75 barks out of 5
- NCIS (S21) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCIS_season_21
Ok, the first of a series of shows that have only 10 episodes because of the actors and writers strike (which I support), which make them really short and with rushed storylines. As such, it's hard to fairly judge them compared to previous seasons as you can see when they packed up all the plots together to be resolved in the last episode. Still, this one has some great episodes (like the homage to the actor playing Ducky) and they still work out an overarching plot and general quality. 3.5 barks out of 5
- Kyoryuger : https://powerrangers.fandom.com/wik.....ntai_Kyoryuger
Continuing going back in time with Super Sentai, I hit the original version of Dino Charge. The battery things is still forced as a toy gimmick, and I don't like the constant samba dance (but it has a story reason, and even an entire movie dedicated to the subject, so I still felt it important and interesting) but the characters are interesting, the bad guys are cool, there is great plot, overarching stories, great character development for nearly all characters (Blue ranger is my favorite). They have great crossovers, especially when King Ogher (2023 season) which use a forgotten plot from Kyoryuger to do world building for the later series, which is really great. Since I watch everything related to a series at once (that is available at the time) I watched the sequel series (only one with one as far as i know) made by Korea. It is a canon, direct sequel, reuse some characters but is never referenced (as far as my searches revealed) anywhere but, despite being short, is super boring, just copying the main series without adding really much ideas of its own. I really enjoyed NCIS Hawai'i (competing with NCIS : NO for favorite), and the characters were getting really great development. The arrival of a character from NCIS : LA was a really good idea, giving more depths. It's the second series affected here by the strike, and with 10 episodes the ending of the entire series is really rushed in. I don't know why it was cancelled so early, there was still so much to get through, but alas it happened, and it was rushed because of others things. It's pretty disappointing in general but still enjoyable. 3.25 barks out of 5
- Bad Batch (S3) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_....._The_Bad_Batch
The final season of a really great Star Wars TV show, this sequel to Clone Wars, this series do so much great world building while explaining some of the most horrible things from the sequel trilogy. The rise of the Empire from this outcasts point of view is really nice, there is some great scenes, great plots and characters development. I really got invested in the series and it was hard to avoid spoilers as it took Lubu and me a while to finish it. That is what invested me in star wars decades ago and I hope for more stuff of this quality in the future. 3.75 barks out of 5

I'm a big marvel fan, especially the X-Men, and everything started with the original XMEN animated series. So, when a sequel to it was announced, I was really excited. And it delivered. Keeping the style from the 90's, even adding a filter to cover the more modern animation for it looks like it is from that time period but with much more money for animation, it looks really great. The stories keep the great quality from back then, with deep and adult storylines, really surprising choices but keeping true to the original material but updating it and making it part of a better general storyline. I can't wait for the second season ! 4.5 barks out of 5
- Tales of the Empire : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_.....of_the_Empire_(2024)
A surprising sequel and parallel to Tales of the Jedi (make me wonder if we are going to get more of those ?), this series, like the previous one, follows two fates that influence the galaxy far far away but show you how people can follow paths that both lead to evil but how one (which is a legacy character from Clone Wars and the other one from Ahsoka) lead to redemption and one to even more evil. There is a lot of world building here and really nice character development. 3.75 barks out of 5

Continuing the quality fall from previous seasons since 2 or 3 seasons, season 7 has a lot of plot holes and stuff that bother me, but it brought the entire show to an appropriate end. Just like it's predecessor, the show started to turn in circles, lacking new ideas, but here it was even faster. Posted a year ago- 4 knights of the apocalypse : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_.....the_Apocalypse
The sequel to the really cool Seven Deadly sins, it is basically more of the same. Which I'm really happy with. The silliness is still there, but the huge DBZ stupid power up fights is not present (yet) like at the end of the 7 deadly sins and it takes the Arthurian lore but as an ebil organisation, which is nice concept. The first season slowly set up the 4 knights, based on the 4 riders of apocalypse, just like the previous show had the heroes based on the 7 deadly sins. The world building to explain us what Arthur did between shows is a bit lacking, but still enjoyable. 3.25 barks out of 5
- Elemental : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elemental_(2023_film)
I have been not invested in watching that movie, which I could have watched a long time ago, because it looked so bland and it had bad reviews. Stuck on the plane for 8 hours, I had time to watch it (I did Wonka and expendables 4 too) and it is not good. The good is a great world building, I wanted to see more of the world, how the different elements works together and live. The rest... is not good. The characters are one dimensional (yes, it is kinda the point, but a bit of layer would have been good) and over the top (but not in a fun way), the story is predictable and boring. 2 barks out of 5
- Wonka : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonka_(film)
I have never been really into Charlie and the chocolate factory (I watched both movies, but that all and they didn't really left any mark on me), so I don't really have any investment in any of the characters, don't know the lore or anything. After watching it, I don't feel it relate to the previous movies in any ways. It seems to be just a musical around chocolate and in a really silly world, quite the stand alone movie in general. I enjoyed the silliness and didn't paid too much to some of the totally unbelievable happening (got lots of stuff i can sell but I can't have money for a bed ?). 3 barks out of 5
- Fallout : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallout_(American_TV_series)
A huge nice surprise, this series has been really good. I have played a lot of Fallout games (but not all of them, only 1,2 and 4) and it is a really enjoyable universe, with a lot of silly references. I wondered how they would work things out in this series, but it was super impressive on how good it was. It is really well done visually (with lots of practical effects), interesting and deep characters, a mastery of the lore and original ideas to make it work all together. There is also secrets from the world that only big fans of the universe would have known here explained and shown in a really interesting way. There is so much good everywhere in this show, making it one of the best recently. 4.75 barks out of 5
- Rubble & crew (season 1) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubble_%26_Crew
The spin-off of Paw Patrol isn't on Rocky, sadly, but on Rubble, the second to last pup from the main team to me. His backstory is really weird with this series, since he was introduced as an abandoned pup and the youngest on the team when he first started in Paw patrol... guess he got lost until Chase found his family back and they build an entire construction company. As I have said before, the latest seasons of Paw Patrol have started to get really repetitive and boring (still need to try to find the last few episodes of season 9 & 10 to review them, if anyone can help, it's welcome). This spin-off have been refreshing, with new characters, more fun missions and just a general change of scenery. The building laws and constructions make no sense (coffee Karl owns 4 different snacks bars and handle them all by himself), and the villain is not really one (and don't get really punished ever) but it has been fun. 3 barks out of 5
- Ninjago (season 14) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninjago:_Seabound
It feel weird to write a 14 after a season number, but guess we are that old into a show. But there is only one season left after it, so I'm getting there with Lubu ! I was really sold on the concept on that season, for some reason (I really wanted some of the bad guys from that season to put in my lego star wars cantinas, but sadly they are sold for too much on the secondary market). The depths of the character development for some characters, especially for Nya, was really interesting despite being really predictable and unoriginal. 3 barks out of 5
- Expendables 4 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expend4bles
I enjoyed all of the previous expendables movies, which I have seen at the cinema. But not this one. It didn't looked good, and if I didn't needed something I could watch in between sleeping on the plane back from Canada, I would have waited more to watch it. There is none of the crew, fun or action from the previous ones. There is too much Statham to work for an expendable movie and the rest acts really badly. 1.5 barks out of 5
- Wish : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wish_(film)
Another really disappointing movie I waited for a long time to watch, because I was aware it wasn't good. The story is predictable, the songs are forgettable, the characters are bland, the general idea could have worked but is not served by the delivery... There is really nothing good to say about it. 2 barks out of 5
- Trolls 3 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trolls_Band_Together
The story of Justin Timberlake in a troll movie ? I was surprised to learn that fact, but it explains a lot. It's a critic of the music industry, references to boys' band all over. The songs are funny, the story is predictable but with all the hi jinks pretty enjoyable. There is... a lot of abdl jokes in it for some reason. I'll not get into details, but one character is "the baby" of the group. I had fun overall watching it. 3,25 barks out of 5
The sequel to the really cool Seven Deadly sins, it is basically more of the same.

Back from Canada
Posted a year agoHere we go, i'm back from Canada.
It was in general a great experience, being with friends and spending time as a baby. Sadly, family health problems affected Tyler and it got in the way of fun for the second week there. At least, we were here to help him through it. We have gone to Niagara Falls to see the eclipse, but sadly we had an heavy cloud clover so we only saw glimpses of it. The return wasn't easy, since we had a storm while driving and once there, the plane was late, then arrived late, then they lost half the luggage for 30 minutes (which panicked me quite a bit) so I barely made it to my train home. It was a great time in general, tried some new diapers, did some fun with friends I haven't seen in a long time and much more.

Made it to Ottawa
Posted a year agoMade it finally to Ottawa. Everything was better than ok until montreal, since both planes left early and landed early. But at montreal I damaged the passport page you scan a bit, i hope it works still. And being early, Fiona and others weren't there and we had troubles finding each other. I am now really tired, been up for about an entire day after 4 hours and all of that super stressed so i'll be crashing soon.
Easter and Canada
Posted a year agoHappy easter everyone.
I am leaving for Canada tomorrow to see Fiona and her furry parents and maybe be a puppy pwincess there for ten days. I'm sick with stress currently because how bad airport people trigger my illness, and I have a really long trip ahead of me. I get up at 6 am after daylight saving hour changing so one less hour to take the train at 7:30, then first plane to germany at 14:30 then plane to Canada at 16h45 to arrives 8h later, so if no delays with customs and such I should arrives around 2 am on monday for me, but it'll be still be sunday in Canada with time zones and plenty of jet lag. It'll be a long trip all around, and even without jet lag, I'll not be online much as I'll try to enjoy my time there, especially since I'll be kidnapping Snow for 5 days.

Marfin critic : what if (2nd season), Percy Jackson (TV),...
Posted a year ago- Tots (season 1 &2) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T.O.T.S.
I have been watching this series with another babyfur, and it is really fitting show for our demographics. It has really catchy songs (I have been known to keep hearing them while at work, and it would make a great song to listen to for my trip to Canada for Easter). It is visually really cute, and has lots of many cute details fitting for babies of all ages. It is a bit repetitive, since it is targeted for a really young target audience, but it is progressing (we just started 3rd season, which moves from the Nursery to the pre-school, hence why I thought i would review the first two seasons together and keep the 3rd separate). 3 barks out of 5
- Quantum Leap (2022, 2nd season) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_Leap_(2022_TV_series)
This TV show decided to not be a direct sequel nor reboot. It is a sequel series, as they refer often to the previous show (especially in the latest episodes) but has it is entire own story, which is center to this season instead of being a monster of the week format. That entire storyline is what really interested me into the show and get a big pay-off in the final episode (one I had seen coming), even if it is not an happy ending, it is a really fitting ending. 3 barks out of 5
- What if (season 2): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_If...%3F_(season_2)
Fiona and I were really excited about this season, especially after the really good first season. This wasn't as good as the first one, with some stories being a bit all over the place. They aren't as well united as the first season, but the different styles create much more varied stories and interesting ones, like the noir aspect of the first episode. The wider choice of what if universe create also more interesting stories to watch, but some of the characters are a bit rushed in, like Gamora. It is still a really interesting show and a must watch for many Marvel fans. 4.25 barks out of 5
- Shuriken Sentai Ninninger : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shuri.....ntai_Ninninger
Continuing going back up the Super Sentai huge collection, I hit the one that was turned into Power Rangers Ninja Steel. This Power Rangers had some traits I had been really enjoying, and I was really excited to see them here playing again, but some others weren't there (like the gameshow bad guy). But a lot of things that I had troubles with makes senses here (something that is even more visible with the counterpart to Dino Charge I started after this one). The characters have good story arcs and great fight scenes. The toy selling wasn't too bad, contrary to Kamen Rider Gotchard for example. The whole youkai plays with japanese legends, a lot that I could recognised and made much more sense than the random bad guys from Ninja Steel. 4 barks out of 5
- NCIS : Sydney https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCIS:_Sydney
I was quite interested in this new spin-off, since I have been really enjoying Hawai'i, and both LA and New Orleans (my favorite) have ended. It was also really interesting to completely break apart from the USA while keeping the same theme. I was disappointed it had only 8 episodes so it really quickly run into his big overarching plot (which I predicted the ending of) without giving us much time to really get to know the characters or the setting. I really look forward to real full 2nd season to explains everything, with the actress of Legends of Tomorrow not being a great fit here. 3.25 out of 5 barks
- Percy Jackson and the Olympians (TV) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Percy.....the_Olympians_(TV_series)
Another series Fiona and I were excited about. I have read a lot of the Percy universe books (first series of books, second series, the first of the Norse Gods one, the two of the Egyptian ones) and was really eager to see it (and someday get to read the others books too). While better than the movies for the adaptation, a lot of it annoy me. The main characters act a bit bland and the story is changed in ways I don't really understand. It was still enjoyable and all that, but a bit disappointing to me. 3.25 barks out of 5
- Kamen Rider ex-aid : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamen_Rider_Ex-Aid
Another series to put Kamen Rider Gotchard to shame (and it is even worse for the most recent series when compared to the one I'm currently watching, Kamen Rider Build), we have here a really well written series with lots of great characters arcs, interesting stories, lots of world development all around and an overall world that makes so much more sense than Gotchard. I really liked all the characters and storylines, but I was disappointed than the finale is in an extra movie with a push crossover over it to really get to the end. That really make watching everything to really get the full ending (they even call it the true ending), and the series in itself has no end. It's a bit disappointing, but I wanted to watch everything anyway. 4.5 barks out of 5
- Kishiryu sentai ryusoulger : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kishi.....tai_Ryusoulger
The original series on which Power Rangers : Dino Fury was based on, and another one of my list on watching most super sentai shows (i'll keep going back until they feel too cheezy for me to go back. But I'm also up to date with the most recent ones, which is later in this review). It is really amusing on some scenes i remember how they go from watching Power Rangers and it features two characters I really liked, Creon and Wiseru and they are even more interesting there. A story make a lot of sense, even if some of this all atlantean-vibe is a bit confusing and such. Sadly, the 6th ranger is super annoying and while it get better, it was still too much love-centric trope character. 4 barks out of 5
- Echo (tv show) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echo_(miniseries)
From what people were saying around and after the Hawkeye tv show, I have gone in this show not expecting much. It was surprisingly way better that it should have been from what it looked originally, since I excepted it to be rushed in. But it was well developed, with great storytelling playing on the native american heritage and the fact she was deaf. It was really well done in general and interesting. 3.75 barks out of 5
- Hazbin hotel : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hazbin_Hotel
Another really big surprise with this show. I was expecting a show about gross humor from the premises and it was totally different (sadly, the spin-off, which i tried, was exactly that and I hated it). The songs are really good, the world building is super interesting and there is a really great cast and great story arcs for each of them. The art style wasn't great to me at the start but it grew on me. 3.5 barks out of 5

I had been really sold on the first season, which was a great following to the original tv show that I watched as a kid. And the second season, called Revolution, continued on those lines with lots of references to the toys, the gimmicks while building a great story. The cast is really great at their job (and Luke Skywalker talking to Captain Kirk is great) and the story is quite epic. I really enjoyed it overall. 4 barks out of 5
- Ohsama Sentai King-ogher : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohsam.....tai_King-Ohger
Here, the most recent Super Sentai show (I have watched the pilot episode of BoonBoomger too) that just finished. The steampunk world and great story sold me on the insect theme (which I wasn't that interested in) and the characters have all really interesting arcs. While the CGI backgrounds aren't always that great, there is really something in the world building (and the crossovers with Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger was really well brought in, not something forced in like the Kamen Rider Ex-aid / super sentai one). While you clearly see the toys, they aren't forced down your throat like Gotchard, which is quite welcome. 4.25 barks out of 5
- Care Bears : unlock the magic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Care_.....lock_the_Magic
It took me a long time to watch the series (including the special Quest for the Rainbowstone) and the art style isn't my favorite for care bears, but I approve their choice of trying to build an entire new world. Grumpy is as good as ever. The Silver Lining and its stories aren't always good, sadly, the quality is all over the place in general. Still, I enjoyed it in general. 3.25 barks out of 5

Posted 2 years agohttps://ideas.fandom.com/wiki/The_A....._Loupy_Lupine_(TV_series)
Based on what I read, I think he mistook me for Yookey, since she is the one was draw the most often with her rewards. He also posted that Kelvin the lion was making Mythics, Nivlek and Macropod Madness as incoming Netflix animated shows... I don't really know what to think about all this. It's another guy that also don't read the tags, since all my art list me as male, but it's surprising somebody would think of my stuff be worthy of such a post i found randomly...

Marfin critic : MLP, Dr Who, Kyuranger, Hilda, Castlevani...
Posted 2 years agoOk, I spent more than 30 minutes on this journal and it got lost, so I have to rewrite everything, so I may not say as much as originally.
- Dr Who 2023 specials : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who_(2023_specials)
So, we have this series of specials who are quite special, since they are the end of the current era and the start of the Disney sponsored Whoniverse with the 15th Doctor (which I have been enjoying so far with his 1st companion), featuring my favorite Dr, Tennant, as his third regeneration and second doctor. That gives a lot of character development and exploration of dangling plot points (like the timeless child, which sadly they didn't retcon, and Donna Noble). I have been really enjoying those and how they worked solutions to connect all of this (even if one of the episode, being a Comic story, confuse the canon all the more). It was really great, a good return to form. 4.5 barks out of 5

While it is not as good as the best episodes from G4, there is no bad episodes and the overall quality is good enjoyable, and while having legacy characters and references, it is building its own identity (including the introduction of a new bad guy and more world building in chapter 6 after the Alicorn is out). It is really good content and I'm looking forward to more. 4 barks out of 5
- Justice league : warworld https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justi.....ague:_Warworld
The DC animated universe has little bad movies, but sadly this one is one of them. The general idea is pretty nice and the animation is good, but the storytelling is not good, making it boring to watch and uninteresting until Batman get moving. 2.5 barks out of 5
- Kyuranger : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uchu_.....ntai_Kyuranger
Continuing in catching up with Super Sentai, I got to this one and it has two problems : the kyu globe design doesn't really look good on the zords, and there is two many characters. The 9 from the team name are here after a few episodes, and it end with 12, so it is really hard to juggle with all of them and all their own story arc, but they still work overall, leaving not many unresolved by the end of the series. It has some great fights and twists. 4.25 barks out of 5
- The Bad Guys : a very bad holiday https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_B.....ry_Bad_Holiday
This amusing tv special reminded me of the movie and wolves in sheep sleeper. The fact it is a prequel goes a bit against it, but overall it is a nice and entertaining little thing for the holiday that people should really look into. 3.75 barks out of 5
- The Amazing digital circus : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_A.....Digital_Circus
Just like Luckadaisy, I hesitated to review it since it's a pilot and I normally do at least one season at once, but since there is no definitive date on the release... It is really worth watching, a dark humour people trapped in virtual reality concept of a story. It is frantic and completely silly, and definitively worth watching if you are in this kind of things. 3.75 barks out of 5
- Castlevania : nocturne https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castl.....ania:_Nocturne
A spin-off from the Castlevania tv show, set hundred of years after it in the end of the French Revolution, I really appreciate (as a french) the choice of the time period and they really worked on the details. There is correct french (if with not a great accent) and lots of references to the life during this time period (even if it is a romanticized version of it). Just like its previous iteration, I think they are overdoing it on the gore, but it also has the same quality of writing and animation, making it a really cool series and one definitively worth to check out. 3.5 barks out of 5
- Lego Masters (US) season 4 + Brickmas https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego_Masters_(American_season_4)
Again, taking ideas from previous season of Australia and giving it an American taste with Will Arnett at its head, this season is again really fun with really interesting build and bigger challenge, taking advantage that they have more money than their Australian counterpart. Not really much to say, it's a lego tv show about builders and if you like that it's quite good, fighting with Australia for the best one. 3.75 barks out of 5 (because a clip episode wasn't necessary !)
- Starkid : a vhs christmas carol https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StarKid_Productions
A really 80's style musical, not so much for the visuals since it was done in front of an audience live and not recorded in a studio, this retelling of the famous story has great musicals and is really cool. 3.5 barks out of 5
- Once upon a studio : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Once_Upon_a_Studio
A really nostalgic and touching shorts about their entire collection, full of references and hard work, a really great production contrary to many of their recent releases (I haven't watched elemental nor wish, which is really surprising for me that usually sees all the big disney movies). It is really worth watching for all Disney fans. 4.75 barks out of 5
- Hilda (season 3) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hilda_(TV_series)
Continuing with their great quality writing, we get the final season of this excellent tv show with the great writing and lots of world building, playing a lot on the backstory of the main characters and the secrets it hides. There is so much happening, so much cool stuff supported by a great animation and music. It is really great and it end on a really great final note. 4.75 barks out of 5
- Dr Who 2023 specials : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who_(2023_specials)

Little troubles card game
Posted 2 years agoI have not involved myself with it. It would be something else to hide at my place from people, and have little to no chance to ever playing it... what art I have seen is really cute, but I got no personal connection to it in any way. So I don't feel like collecting it. I don't see it changing any time soon.
