Playground Information!
General | Posted 12 years agoGreetings and salutations my favorite students!
After an event this evening I felt it important to speak on the issue of the Playground. If you aren't aware of what the Playground is, it's a free chat zone integrated into LPES that's available under the 'Communicate' tab on the menu bar. So far the Playground has been a rousing success, and has allowed students of all ages to come, chat and enjoy their time together.
One of our prized students, Shawn, took it upon himself to make a second chatroom called Nursery that exists on the same server. After a bit of miscommunication tonight, I thought I might say something about that.
I am more than happy that the Nursery exists, and would be happy if other rooms were created as well. If you feel that you need a zone to participate in a particular form of play then I encourage you to create it. School is a place for free expression and an open exchange of ideas. The Playground is even more so, and the ability to create chatrooms that cater to certain interests is a part of that.
So if for any particular reason you feel that you shouldn't go to the Nursery, please don't feel that way. It is a wonderful place for diaperfurs to hang out and I wholly endorse it.
Your principal,
Finn Tusks aka Lem Ahnayd

Let's go ahead and air out some dirty laundry!
General | Posted 12 years agoIt has come to my attention that someone has been spreading a rumor that Aspen and I hate that babyfurs attend this school. I would like to explain, in truth, what actually happened.
When Pre-K was created and more babyfurs began to join the school, Pre-K enrollment exploded to a point where it comprised the majority of the student body. This created a set of issues that had to be remedied. For one, a number of babyfurs had joined for the care taking aspect and weren't interested in learning the primary subjects that the other kids would be learning, and for another it was making one grade inequitably powerful and made it difficult for the upper grades to have a chance to be as participative or lively as the Pre-K group. I even had a number of babyfurs tell my counselors that they didn't see the point in having the stat system and their numbers rolled for them.
In order to remedy this I created Nursery School. Nursery School exists for characters that are aged 2 and under. This is a place with no stats, but an emphasis on basic educational tenets and care taking. It took me the better part of two days to create that class, move everyone, edit the profiles, move my teachers around, edit the forum, edit the website, and communicate all the changes, by myself, to everyone that was affected.
So with all of that being said, let me be as blunt as I can be, and please do pardon the harsh tone.
If I did not want babyfurs in this school I would not have spent two days making sure that they had the opportunity to enjoy a place that gave them more freedom and personalized attention.

Wonderful News!
General | Posted 12 years agoWe promise, we deliver. If you attempt to access LittlePawsElementarySchool.com at the moment from a mobile decide it will be inaccessible. Of course at this point you may be wondering how that's good news. Well, I'll tell you! The mobile site (and forum) and currently being uploaded and will be available for use within the next 48-hours!
Want to get +1 to a stat of your choice!?
General | Posted 12 years agoSince we are five days away from the start of Fall term, it's time to get enrollment up EVEN higher! And guess what? If you're willing to help, there's something in it for you! In exchange for a pimp journal telling your friends about LittlePawsElementarySchool.com, and linking it here, you will get a +1 to any stat of your choice. THIS IS A PERMANENT STAT RAISE!
So what's the catch?
Just make sure that when your friend(s) sign up they mention your name somewhere on the registration form so that we know how they were recommended. Then we will get back to you, let you pick which stat you want to raise, and it shall be done. You can only have a total one +1 though so even if ten kids register because of you, you're just getting the one.
So go ahead and pimp, help increase enrollment, and get that stat raise!
It's just that easy!

General | Posted 12 years agoCellphone compatibility
General | Posted 12 years agoHello everyone, Principal Tusks again!
I received an email earlier from someone using an Android phone that stated they could not access the website on it. Having never thought about cellphone compatibility, I checked it on my iPhone and everything worked well including the forum. So now I am attempting to ascertain which cellphones have difficulty working with the website. That way hopefully I can get a mobile version going sometime very soon while the site content is still small and manageable.
So if you would be so kind as to use your phone and surf about on littlepawselementaryschool.com I'd greatly appreciate it!
Thanks!

A note to students and students in the registration process!
General | Posted 12 years agoIf you have not heard back from someone regarding your registration within forty-eight hours, please let us know! Although, before you do that, please check your email. All registrations are processed and finished via the email address that you provide with your application for enrollment.
I also would like to note for those who haven't seen that the fall term starts on October 28th! We are one teacher away from a full staff and we are ready to get rolling! If you have any questions before the big launch, you may ask them here, on the forum, to your teachers, or via any other medium we have available.
Thanks!

Important Note about Pre-K!
General | Posted 12 years agoBecause of the increased enrollment, Pre-K had to be split. In keeping with our standards of ten students per class, a new Pre-K teacher was hired. - Lyrac, Dakota
- Scwibbles, Sasha
- Sinclaire, Shido

- Squirrel, Zee-Zee
- Swiftpaw, Edwin
- von Warstein, Shawn

- Dragon, Deven
- Dragon, Oliver
- Petrova, Torch
- Redran, Kie-Kie
- RushHeart, Helix
- Sparkiechu, Neo
- Star, Sierra

Any further registrations at this juncture will go into Pre-K Class Three which, at the moment, has no teacher. If you have any interest in being our third Pre-K teacher, please let us know!

An awesome day!
General | Posted 12 years agoToday was the largest registration day yet! This morning it all began with the idea of starting a Pre-K program, which was very shortly thereafter implemented, and now Pre-K stands as the largest class at LPES with thirteen students! We also managed to get some new kids in the other grades although fourth still sits alone. Poor fourth ;~;.
Anyway there are some important notes and announcements that need to be made!
1. Until I am able to find people interested in the Guidance Counselor positions, I am the only one processing registrations. I wasn't able to get as much done with the website today as I wanted, so as a result I am now going to only be processing new applications between 11 am and 3 pm PT. There is a note on the registration page that states as much, and it will remain this way until some Guidance Counselors are hired.
2. Due to the incredible amount of enrollment in Pre-K, and our desire to keep classes at a maximum of ten students, we are actively looking for a second Pre-K teacher to join our team. A desire to work with babyfurs and toddlers through both forum and role play interaction is required. If you're at all interested please let me know!
3. First grade still has no teacher. I'm not sure why it has become a teacherless grade, but I digress. Poor
,
, Rainier, and
need guidance too! If you're interested please let me know!
4. I AM DONE FOR THE NIGHT! I need a mental break, just saying. Things will resume tomorrow as always. I'll also be able to add more content to the website now that I've limited my registration hours. Yay!
Sincerely yours,
aka

Anyone interested in a pre-school?
General | Posted 12 years agoI've noticed that there has been a rather large number of students flooding the kindergarten classroom! While this is very exciting and we love our students, I know that a number of them are younger than what a kid would normally have to be in order to enter kindergarten. With that being said, and if those students want to remain in kindergarten that's fine, would you be interested in a pre-school? Any and all comments, ideas or rants would be appreciated!
Alllllllllright!
General | Posted 12 years agoThis tired principal is going to bed for the night. I have a feeling a lot more registrations will be coming our way soon thanks to a certain awesome cub *nudgewink*. As soon as I get back from taking care of business in the morning I will hit those registrations like a pinata! Goodnight folks!
Also, for anyone interested, we are now looking for a second kindergarten teacher, a first grade teacher, several admins, tutors, and a PE, Art and Music teacher. If any of this sounds appealing then check out the Careers area on the website!

An important notice about forum registration
General | Posted 12 years agoIf you have signed up for the forum and haven't received an email, don't be alarmed. We have decided to require manual administrator approval to activate accounts. This will cut down on possible trolls that would ruin the magic for us. While we have quite the top notch team, sometimes extra safeguards are necessary. So sign up, wait a bit, and once an administrator has approved your account THEN you will receive a confirmation email stating that you're set to go. Also if you're in a real hurry feel free to send
a note and he'll go approve you as soon as he reads it.
Happy learning!

If we have not processed your student registration yet we sincerely apologize, and will do so as soon as possible. In the interim you can sign up for the forum if you'd like, but the moderators won't be able to approve your registration until you have an active profile on the main website.

v2.0!
General | Posted 12 years agoIn a much faster than expected fashion, v2.0 of the website will be coming your way soon! This version will include a forum, chatroom, a proper registration form, and a much cleaner (and prettier) design! Once this all comes to fruition school can officially open and things can get started! Just bear with us a teeny bit longer and please keep sending in those applications!
Welcome everyone and GREAT news!
General | Posted 12 years agoFirst of all, I'd like to welcome each of you to the FurAffinity based Little Paws Elementary School group! It is a pleasure to already have so many watchers, and to be able to share this community as it comes to fruition with each of you! But beyond that, I have some very exciting news.
The beta-version of Little Paws Elementary School is ONLINE!
Just visit us today at http://www.littlepawselementaryschool.com and see what we have to offer!
At this time we are recruiting heavily for students, teachers, administrative staff and tutors! The more people we have sign up, the better. While it may take a week or so to get everything off the ground due to a, well, severe lack of faculty/staff, we will do our best to get things moving as soon as possible!
Also, if you're at all interested, we do have a tiny wish list!
1. An icon for this group!
2. Someone with enough coding experience to make a web based registration form.
3. Feedback, feedback, and more feedback!
Thanks everyone!
