About the future of NSFW art
Posted 2 days agoAs you might have seen already, the state of NSFW art (not only visual, but books and video games too) isn't the best. Lots of artists are getting their funds blocked or they are kicked out from platforms, even if the NSFW art itself is fully legal. Platforms like Steam and itch.io, where a lot of indie artists share their work, are turning their back on the artists. Payment processors are doing that already. It already started when certain websites banned some kinks, and now they are going all the way. The situation varies from country to country and they all give silly excuses. Where I live, the government is considering an ID verification to get access to NSFW stuff (which isn't only porn but a variety of things, from gore to an ED survivor telling their story). Please check what things you can do to help!
I'd say 50% of my art is NSFW, so this might affect me. I will not stop drawing it, however, I am considering other options. Maybe I will create a SFW only FA and Patreon and keep the already existing accounts as NSFW only.
At least, for now, I will go back to being active on my Ko-Fi. The website has some new features that I like. Before, it was a way for people to subscribe to me for a slightly cheaper price. Now I have plans to post more finished work and some WIPs, though there won't be polls or as many things as on Patreon (hence why the price difference) . I think it's a good option, since people find Ko-Fi easier to use. Until further notice, my posting here and on Patreon remains the same, this is only an announcement that I have a Ko-fi basically.

June update

For starters, my ToS have been updated, and my commission prices have changed. I have also added new types of commissions. They have been updated on my drive document, not yet in the image on FA.
People that have asked for a commission slot, but it hasn't been their turn yet, still have the old price.
Mermay YCH and past kinktober prompts will be closed next week. If you want one, there is still time before they get deleted.
Furthermore, I got a big project coming up, so there won't be commission slots for a bit, probably during summer in general. I will focus on this project, Patreon rewards and my comic (which the prologue will be posted on July!)
Also, I have decided I won't be taking reference sheet commissions anymore, they will only be available through Patreon.
Finally, a personal update. Now that it's summer, everything art related will be slow down. In my city temperatures are extremely high, so working during midday/afternoon is almost impossible. The other day it reached 35ºC (plus high humidity, which makes the temperature feel even higher). Heat fucks up my glucose levels and overheats my tablet, so I have to be careful. Keep this in mind for other Spanish artists!

About scammers
Posted 3 months agoLately I have seen so many posts and journals about scammers, and I just want to remind some things. These apply to me, but work with most artists too.
-Only pay invoices when the artist has told you they have sent it. If you are unsure, you can send them a screenshot to check if it's correct.
-The safest way to contact me is through my FA account, or selecting my user through my TG channel or Discord server. I will never contact you first on TG or Discord, I will always talk first on FA.
-Check that my username starts with an L. I don't have an "i". It's LsheenaLba.
-My discord user has the old numbers visible (#Sheen7218) when you click on it.
-Don't pay through friends and family, unless you know them.
When in doubt, ask!
-Only pay invoices when the artist has told you they have sent it. If you are unsure, you can send them a screenshot to check if it's correct.

Future Charity raffle
Posted 4 months agoThis is a heads-up for a future raffle that will take place on FA. Essentially, it will be a charity raffle, where you donate any amount you'd like (1€ is enough to participate, but more than 5€ will give you an extra slot) to any cause. Some examples are someone's gofundme for surgery, an artist you follow that needs to pay their meds, a local lgbt organization, international humanitarian aid... Anything that can help make improve the life of someone. Everything goes except military aid or anything related to hate groups. You'd only need to provide proof of payment, a character reference and an idea for the animation. If you don't know where to donate, I will be providing links in the description for some ideas :]
The prize will be a sketch animation, and depending on the amount of participants, there will be an extra winner. It will last during the entire month of June.

Posted 5 months agoA bit of a summary of what's going on and future updates!
Firstly, I adopted a cat! A very yappy orange cat keeps me company while I work. Since she's joined my household, I can tell that my mental health has improved a lot. Praise her! However, all the fees for my lawyer have been...ouagh... I hope it's finished soon.
Future Tier
I have been thinking of creating a new tier (please don't join yet!) to try out new things. Essentially, you'd get the benefit of your characters featured in my illustration and sketches (secured rate, compared to the free events), being able to skip the commission queue, no extra fee for urgent commissions, and experimental art of your characters. Plus, I have been thinking of physical gifts (bookmarks, prints...). This might be hard to calculate, so I rather do it as an experiment with few rather than moving it to other tiers. What are your thoughts?

The fantasy comic about a hero has the prologue, first and second chapter sketched out. I think I'll be releasing it once the entire chapter is finished, rather than page by page. SFW and NSFW will be alternated, so for those that are only interested in the SFW part of it, you'll get the important chapters fully available. I'm very excited for this! Usually, before getting to work on commissions and requests, I do warm-up sketches, and lately I have been focusing on character design and shape. Essentially, I noticed that in my art the characters were too similar between species, so that's something I want to improve. That being said, I have seen artists that do sets of around 100 pages featuring sketches or other illustrations. I have a ton of traditional sketches that haven't seen the light, so I was wondering to maybe create a pdf with all of them, like an album. Would anyone be interested?

Looking for background characters

This is because sometimes, none of my charactera would fit, and doing shadows or faceless characters doesn't look that good. And in some scenes, not having any background character looks very... Empty. So maybe some of yours will be featured!
Ill be using this post as reference in the future, so this isn't only for 1 drawing.

Surgery Update

I finally got my surgery this week and have been released from the hospital. I ended up having half of my thyroids removed, but at least my vocal cords seem to be intact. I'll have to wait a few weeks to see if I'll need hormones for it now... *sigh*
Now I'm slowly recovering at home, having a hard time eating or speaking, I can move my neck a bit now, but hopefully soon I'll be back to normal. I got a lot on my plate now, please be patient if I haven't given you an update on your artwork or message! <3

I have also added a part with things I love to draw, which means if you ask for them, the result will be better!
-Queer characters, especially trans.
-Fat or muscular characters. I can't draw skinny characters...
-Characters with unique personalities or designs. I prefer it when they have a bit of lore, rather than only their physical ref or "they like X".
-Fantasy stuff and magic.
-Monsters and anthros. Humans and mechas are very complicated for me.
And lastly, I updated my Won't do list. The changes are the following:
-Mind control/hypnosis/somnophilia. It will be only for people I have talked about it, know their opinions, regular clients... It's a complicated topic.
-Feral NSFW. Feral characters can be turned into anthros. Monster/terato characters are okay depending on their design.
-Taur NSFW. The genitals will be anthro and not feral accurate.
-Extended the hyper. After some more practice, I'll be accepting more hyper stuff from new clients: hyper pussy, hips, thighs.
-BDSM scenes. Similarly to Mind control/hypnosis, I'll be making certain scenes only for a group of people I'm familiar with. This is for scenes of humiliation, degradation, and sadism. More 'tamer' stuff like shibari, latex, etc. will be for everyone.

Posted 10 months agoNear where I live, this week has been a total disaster. Many towns were flooded and destroyed because of a cold drop. For those who don't know, it's a big storm. In the south of València, in one night rained what should rain IN A YEAR.
So far there are 160 people dead and tons of people haven't been found yet.
Streets look like a cemetery of cars, there is no running water or electricity, and some towns don't have signal. Citizens don't know what to do and the government isn't doing anything. All help comes from local mayors, NGOs and volunteers.
This all could have been avoided if the government cared. Months ago, the right-wing government from València had removed an Emergency Unit specialized in those things, just to save up costs and spend them in bull fighting. Even worse, they knew the flood would happen, and they only sent the alert hours after towns were flooded, just so they could end their shift in peace. In some towns it didn't even rain, it was a big wave that came from towns in higher latitude like a tsunami. So many people were just walking or driving in the street and got trapped.
This is not over, the storm will continue to other parts of Spain. It will not be as strong fortunately. My city had a Red alert, but it's only for the docks area, so I'm safe.
Most of the help needed is people going there and helping out with bringing food, cleaning out everything... Most donations are made through Bizum or bank transfer. I have found a place where you can donate internationally, if you can help, it'd be great.

It might have been a bug from PayPal and sent a random reminder or there is someone impersonating me. I'll look into it later, but beware just in case!
