Posted 2 years agoI still live, it’s been a rough year.
With the rapid fire of moving out of state>quarantine>job problems>my father passing>leaving said job>finding new job> problems at new job and other emotional turmoil I have been in a pretty low spot.
All things considered, I am ok, I have support and love in my life, I just lack the energy to create or do much of anything besides self sustain.
I’m sorry for dropping off like I have, I miss so many of you and I think about you a lot, I am just very tired.
I’ll be back at some point, I want to, it will just be some time before I can really participate.
In addition to that twitter is dead to me. Im not going to spend my time on a site that damages my mental health like that place does. Especially one that coddles fucking nazis. So that sorta made participating difficult because I have a lot to catch up on here. With FA seeing attention, sound changes, and other updates, as well as name changes incoming, I think this will be my mainstay ( lol @ me making my new account). I’ve been around long enough to know the sites checkered history, and what peoples opinions on it are, and it’s really nothing compared to the alternative.
Cheers to all the years, thank you to so many of you for sticking around, I always smile when I see familiar faces show up in my notifications.

Life and things!

Before I get into the meat of this post, I will still probably continue to be scarce here for the foreseeable future. I havent quit art, I am just trying to make positive changes in my life and sadly, art is on the back burner for the time being. This update is probably a bit overdue, but I am currently putting commissions on hiatus for the time being. I have a lot of life stuff I need to figure out before I can routinely accept more clients. It hurts to say all of this because it feels like I have had to make too many journals like this over the past year or so, but taking the time for self care is crucial right now and I do not want to disappoint any of you by letting my fickle mental stability get in the way of providing quality service to those who care to support me and my work!
I'm going to continue working on art when I can and I'll be posting a dump of submissions in the future once I finsish current projects. I may make intermittent adoptable and YCH posts so keep an eye out for those!
Also, I will remain open for quotes on custom pieces, so if you are interested in work from me and would like to know roughly how much it would cost when I do open back up, please feel free to hit me up because I will still be checking in here now and again.

Bumping that old journal off my page, Christmas is long past lol.
Got a few projects Ive been working on in the background and after that I hope to rework my commission tiers and open up again! Thanks for being patient! I know people have been waiting (cause I have too lol).
Things are moving around a lot in my life and I have had to adjust accordingly, I think I might be reaching a stable enough point to be able to work for you wonderful people again.
Other than all that its been a lot of the same just with a lot more rain (which im not going to complain about at all).
Hope all of you are having a nice year so far!

Decided to say screw it and took all of the inquiries I received, decided to make an entirely separate journal for the queue and such to keep things clear and more organized!
CURRENT TURNAROUND TIME:
Between 2 and 3 weeks.

Got a bit of a gross bug today! not sure how long its gonna last but it might slow things down by a few days and put completion for the queue to around 3 1/2 weeks!! However I am going to try my hardest to remain on schedule!

Its that time again! Been a while and Im happy to be opening again^^
Gonna throw in some info about updates to commission types here in a second, if you just wanna jump to the "commissioning me" part just scroll down to the bolded " AVAILABLE SLOTS!"
Now on to the "Patch Notes" lol
Some things have changed here and there since the last time I opened. The biggest change is that Ive decided to remove "artistic liberty/experimental" from the list and it is now replaced with "Simple Shading". I know it was a popular one, and I really did enjoy doing it, but it put a little too much creative pressure on me. It led to it being hard to be consistent with them, and while the whole idea of the product was that it was "inconsistent", an "inconsistent" product became something I was uncomfortable selling. Im sorry If any of you are disappointed to see it go, however, I did try my best to replace it with something just as nice and affordable!
In addition to that, all of my brackets have been updated with current artwork so thats a thing. Other than that everything has stayed the same!

Before I start, thank to everyone that voiced their support on the journal I really appreciate it! By the time i felt up to replying, it was way late and I feel like it would have been awkward for me to do so lol. Regardless, im thankful<3
Anywhooo
Got legit diagnosed with moderate depression a few weeks back and being treated. Feeling a little better. I still have a lot of kinks to work out of course, medication is not magical, but things are looking better than they did a month ago.
Gonna start getting some shit together, got a couple of backlog pieces to get done. They are taking longer than I would like, but I am working when I can! Art might be a bit slow and commissions are probably going to be sporadic. Might open up a few cel shading spots and YCHs to supplement my income, but full rounds with more options will prob have to wait till I get a little more on top of things.
Thats pretty much it! Thanks for taking the time to read this shit! I really dont wanna be one of those disappearing artists because so many of you have done so much for me!

Commissions are set to open this coming monday and ill be implementing a new, form based system this time around. Part of the reason i didnt open this last monday, i simply didnt finish it on time for it! MAking forms can be time consuming as heck!

Radio Silence (please read)

I guess after all of this silence for the past several weeks I wanted to make a post to sorta clear the air. Ive been struggling with a lot of stress and depression these past few weeks and its made it really hard to keep up with life, people, and things around here. Ive had a lot of adult woes hit my plate pretty hard recently but the world doesnt stop so Ive just been trying to deal and handle it the best I can.
Sorry If I have come off as aloof to anyone or if t seems like I have been blowing anyone off or being avoidant. Id be lying if i said I wasnt trying to be avoidant lol, but its not anything personal, I think im just trying to avoid life right now and things have been really overwhelming. I just lack the energy for a lot of things and/or forget to reply back to messages. So if anyone out there is thinkin that they did something wrong because I suddenly got quiet/distant...DONT WORRY<3
To follow that apology, Id like to say a big thank you to those that have stuck with me and have been patient with me. I know I havent been a raging asshole or anything, but im sure that I have been at least a little confusing, distant, and/or wishy washy. Maybe it doesnt stand out a lot, but its really apparent to me.
In short, depression sucks and I havent really figured out how to function with it. Im not going anywhere, but I do have to figure some shit out. I felt like I should make a post about it because getting it out might help me move forward, and maybe if anyone else is struggling like I am, just know youre not alone in this shit. Plus, these wort of things impact how quick I work, so thats another reason.
Lastly, thank you all for supporting me! Despite things being rough, being able to live working within the fandom gives me something to feel proud about and gives me hope for my future. I really dont know where I would be without all of this tbh

On to the main event; Commissions! I have a few important updates regarding it.
Commissions are set to open sometime within the first week of January, so to those that may be waiting here is your heads up!
The super-important update that I have today is that as the new year has been approaching, I have been heavily considering turning making art into less of a side-job and more into something that I can live off of. I have really come to enjoy working with all of you and I believe this is something I can see myself doing for a living. Id be lying If i were to say that I wasnt nervous about taking this jump, but I feel that its time to put on my big kid pants and give it a shot.
That being said, I am going to be increasing my prices a bit. Nothing huge, just enough to more accurately match the amount of time I put into my work! I would like to continue to offer a wide range of affordable options for people for as long as I can ^^.
The changes are as follows:
-Flat color and greyscale sketch have seen an increase of 5USD
-Experimental, waist up, full color pin up and full illustrations have seen an increase of 10USD
-The base price of reference sheets will remain the same as they are the most recently reworked of my options!
There will also be some minor changes to how experimental commissions work and streamline the process a bit since it seems to be a very popular commission type. However, I can promise that they will remain a great value!
