Dragon – Fox
LoreA ryuugitsune is a rare magical being born one of two ways, but always from an egg. The oldest ones were created via the union of a kitsune (a spirit fox) and a dragon. Over time, every now and then two ryuugitsune would encounter each other, and these pairings would also propagate more of their kind. A ryuugitsune, then, is directly related to dragons and kitsune, which are both magical creatures, but largely incompatible under most circumstances. Therefore, while similar to both, a ryuugitsune is rarely as powerful as either of them. Kitsune are a type of Japanese spirit animal, so most ryuugitsune tend to identify with that culture except under rare circumstances.
DescriptionThey're rarely any taller than 5'10", never over 6'0", and are primarily fox-like in general shape, especially when they're younger. However, their dragon features manifest in a myriad of ways, owing to dragons being such a diverse species to begin with. They typically have horns or spikes of some kind usually on their heads—though they can appear elsewhere, as well—and reptilian teeth and tongue. Their bodies are usually colored to match a specific type of dragon ancestry. Various types of wings are also quite common. Additionally, similar to kitsune, a ryuugitsune will grow extra tails as it ages, maxing out at 9 when they are near the end of their physical life. At the beginning, though, a ryuugitsune hatches from their egg at full maturity and with just a single fox tail.
AgesWhen a ryuugitsune hatches, they have just a single tail. As they age, they grow additional tails as described below:
Age 50: 2 tails
Age 150: 3 tails
Age 260: 4 tails
Age 380: 5 tails
Age 510: 6 tails
Age 650: 7 tails
Age 800: 8 tails
Age 1000: 9 tailsOnce a ryuugitsune gains their 9th tail, they reach an enlightened state. At this point, they are more on par with a celestial being, and they soon ascend to heaven, leaving the mortal realm behind forever.
AbilitiesAside from the flight granted to them by their wings, a ryuugitsune has inherent magical powers related to their dragon lineage. These powers include minor conjuration of their element, small-scale control of their element, or various other small magical effects.
ReproductionRyuugitsune are similar to their kitsune ancestors in that they can reproduce with a variety of other humanoid species successfully. However, the offspring are always 100% based off the non-ryuugitsune partner. The only time a ryuugitsune will be the result of childbirth is when both parents are ryuugitsune. Ryuugitsune cease being sexually potent after attaining their 8th tail.
RulesIf you adopt a ryuugitsune, you are agreeing to abide by the species details laid out above, as well as the limitations to be described hereafter. Once purchased/won, your ryuugitsune is yours alone, and not to be traded or sold to other users without informing me first, as I will be keeping track of individual owners. You may change minor cosmetic details about your ryuugitsune, explained via everyday means, eg: dyed hair, haircuts, piercings, tattoos. Those who would consider adopting a ryuugitsune should keep an open mind about potential breeding with other ryuugitsune.
Ayame is an elder sei-ryuugitsune, a life-dragon. Her mission in life is to expand her species, considering that ryuugitsune are very rare. Whenever she encounters a male, she is quick to attempt bonding with them in order to eventually net a clutch of eggs. If she happens to encounter a female, she will attempt to play matchmaker, since she knows that flooding the gene pool with only her own genes will make it pretty shallow in the long run.

Posted 7 years agoEarlier this morning I hit 616 page views, and I figured heeeeey~ number of the beast on a furry site! That seems just auspicious enough a reason to start a raffle! XD Plus I've been working on some demon characters recently, and I also just happen to like the numbers 6 and 16, so yeah.
This is going to be a character reference raffle. The winner will get a full reference sheet for a character of their choice. I know a lot of people may not have a formal reference or a good one or even one at all. If this describes you, this is your perfect opportunity!

Also, also! Posted 7 years agoIt's time! I'm finally opening myself up; I've had a lot of time to think about it and what I have to offer. I tried to find a reasonable balance between my ability and pricing, and I think this is the right way to go right now. So here it is!
My commissions are specifically for my color work. There are a multitude of options for free to use lineart out there, even just on this site. Not everyone has photoshop or whatever other program to add color themselves, and even people who do maybe don't have the time or skill to use it. My proposition is to let me color it for you! I have two different tiers, one for Flat colors and another for Painted colors, and there are various things that will adjust the base price of a commission. Here's a simple breakdown:
Now, I'm sure some of that needs explanation. So for example, this reference sheet. There's the primary character, of course, flat color, full body, $6.00. The second character, in this case a back view, would be 80% of a full body flat, so $4.80. Now, both of them have wings, which are not a typical character feature, so I'd classify that as "Extra Bits" and $2 more for each character. Incidentally, tails are pretty standard fare on a furry site, so those are included as part of a full character. One other thing that's not directly obvious on this image is that I had to redraw the entire lineart, since this was my reference. A straight trace plus adding a hair style and jewelry, that's $5 for each character. In all, then, this commission would have cost $24.80!
Make sense? I hope so! In any case, I'll always go over exactly what I expect the cost to be based on what you're looking for and whatever lineart you choose. All I need from you, the commissioner, is a link to the lineart you want me to color which shows proof that it's free to use.
Other things to know: I'll throw in some simple background color if you want, no extra cost. And for reference pictures, the color swatches are also no additional cost. SFW or NSFW are both perfectly fine with me. If you commission a NSFW pic, I'll likely be able to throw in the SFW version, as well. Posted 8 years agoMy focus is currently on producing a long form story based on an idea I had several years ago. The setting is one of the few I've come up with which would be particularly appropriate for this site, so I figured it was high time to start working on it again. I'm looking forward to submitting the first chapter sometime soon, but I thought it wouldn't be too bad to list the major characters ahead of time.
Dorumi
As far as build goes, Dorumi is a fairly typical example of a Dwergar; 5 feet tall, exceptionally broad physique, dark skin. What is atypical about him is lent to the fact that he is not a Dwergar, but a Fire Primal, a physical incarnation of fire made flesh. His dark skin is black like charcoal, and his hair and eyes are a vibrant red which sometimes even glow depending on his mood. He keeps his hair short, and it naturally spikes up and back. His sideburns grow long and all the way down to his jaw, but there is only a soul patch on his face. He tends to wear heavy mail armor, a dull gray, and usually carries a short handled hammer on his hip.
Elgwin
Her mixed Terran and Elf blood give Elgwin an exotic appearance to both of her people's eyes. She has sharper features and a longer nose, plus the telltale tapered ears of Elves, but she has rich brown eyes and wavy hair, paler skin, and a somewhat stocky build at just 5'7". She keeps her hair somewhat short, but feathered out around her neck. Her preferred garments are doeskin pants and vest, a comfortable blouse, and a scarf that she wears around her waist. She often carries a small lyre for impromptu tuning on a thong around her shoulder, and a pouch full of knick-knacks on her hip.
Trannik
Like most Elves, Trannik is tall, though at the lower end of that spectrum at 5'10", deeply tanned, and has long features and fair hair. His is a dirty blond, worn long, past his shoulder blades. His tapered ears are hidden beneath his hair most of the time. He's lithely muscled, which is disguised by his preferred method of dressing in loose, comfortable clothing. He keeps a plain wooden quarterstaff in hand most times, and is rarely seen without a leather band around his forehead to keep his hair from being unruly.

Fianev is quite short compared to other Fox Hybrids, 5'3", and was born with an aberrant feature: she is amelanistic, albino. She has all the typical features of a humanoid fox, but her fur is snowy white, and her eyes are pink. She has a longer mane of fur between her long ears, which tends to droop over her right eye. She wears a brown skirt that falls to mid-calf and a rich green robe that goes roughly to mid-thigh, but it splits at the bottom in the back to allow her bushy tail space to swing freely. She keeps a gnarled and knotted staff with her, like a long and irregular shillelagh.

Appearance: Iffy is 5’3” and somewhat bottom heavy. She has a slim body, including her bust, but naturally curvy hips and thighs. Her cream fur contrasts with her sandy brown hair, which she keeps short and layered so as to not get it too tangled with her large ears. She prefers to dress business casual, even on days she’s not working, especially with pencil skirts. She is farsighted, so she keeps a pair of thin rectangle reading glasses on a chain around her neck.
History: Iffinie was raised by her single father, a college chemistry professor. She remembers from an early age that he would read to her, and she grew up with a fondness for books of all kinds. She would carry a book of some kind with her at all times at school, blasting through large portions whenever she wasn’t studying. One of her first part time jobs, once she was old enough, was at a local bookstore. She went through college for business management, and eventually worked her way up to assistant manager at the bookstore. She recently graduated, but would like to continue with a business masters after she’s gained more experience.
Description: She has a no-nonsense kind of attitude and is a very down to earth person. Her father instilled in her an academic mind, and she excelled in school. Her practicality has served her well in management, but she tends to have a narrow view on social situations. Despite that, she’s quite good one on one. It’s just group settings that start to overwhelm her.

Species: Japanese dwarf flying squirrel

Gender: female
Sexuality: bisexual
Appearance: Hitomi is small, maybe 5’1” and slight of frame. Still, she’s well toned and hardly out of shape or scrawny. She has long black hair that she usually has in a braided sideways ponytail that she drapes over her left shoulder. She dislikes dressing formally and teaches class typically wearing loose jeans and a sweater.
History: When she was a child, her parents spurred her to study hard, but she was never the smartest girl. They thought her poor grades a consequence of laziness and beat her to get better results. She was also picked on at school. When she was old enough to move out, she separated herself from everyone she was familiar with. She finally decided to move to a different country so that she might be able to get away from her past. Once there, she attended college and began studying education. Somewhere along the way she picked up some judo so that she may better protect herself from the dangers that may present themselves in such a tumultuous world.
Description: After being so timid and depressed in her younger life, she resolved to be more assertive. While all fine and good in theory, it’s hard for anyone to completely flip around. Her first inclination is to react in a shy manner, but with a little internal chiding, she half forces herself to be more outgoing and expressive. She doesn’t usually get angry, but bullies really seem to trip her switch. Other than that, her attitude is largely positive and sometimes a little overly giddy. She teaches her home language. She still has an accent, but it’s light. Strangely enough, her English is better than most.
