YCHs?
Posted 2 years agoI'm considering doing YCH style TFs where I sketch up a rough template weekly and have bids, or template buying options. It should speed up my workflow a bit and let you guys see more of my stuff on the regular since it's generally faster than normal ones.

TFTropes Let's Talk, Not Fight
Posted 9 years agoThis journal is from the perspective of an American-Floridian-Orlando Citizen.
Alright so another ripe election has come to pass and while the outcome is not what I personally wanted (I really didn't want either since they've both got a shady history and are impossible to actually trust on anything they say), it is what I expected us to get given how the internet has been acting, and one can think of the internet as the "Sub-Conscious" of everyone. Trends on it tend to influence our lives, and as it gets more prominent it'll only get more-so.
So blame the internet right? Not necessarily, the internet is a tool, it can do three things, build something, destroy something, or inflict great pain when misused. We've done beautiful, inspirational things with the internet and horrible destructive things with it.
What makes so now different? Well the key to a healthy system of anything is communication. As an ex-mute I can attest to how painful it is to be unable to have your voice heard. The early internet was pretty great at this, with Forums, generally one could ask a question, or start a conversation without much trolling, and abuse, there'd be some occasionally but there was far less circlejerking -spirals of abuse to get likes and popularity among a group- and "us vs them" sentiments I feel.
It's probably one of the main reasons I left the LCF, I thought it was just there that people were scared to talk about issues. Maybe I'm an alien but as a TF artist I adored the idea of new perspectives, and talking to people to see how they feel about things. Now if I try it's often seen as starting trouble, or I get no response since people are either too scared to voice their opinion, or don't want to offend me and "destroy a friendship".
This kind of sentiment is exactly how someone like Trump can get elected, complete social clique isolation, and bubbles of like-minded people prepare their militias because everyone in the world is a werewolf out to devour their sheep. The paranoia eventually turns the village against each other, and only the snake-oil salesman preaching of werewolves comes out on top.
No one involved is really a nazi, or a monster, or an idiot, they're all just groups acting out of confusion and fear of what "They" will do to "Us". It's incredibly unhealthy and leaves us all monsters in the end.
The solution is simple, talk not fight. You can still be friends with someone you disagree with, Hell the odds that you're just like your friends is slim to none, so unless you want to bide time until a tiny disagreement tears everyone apart you better learn to compromise.
Since people tend to have trouble doing it though here are some simple Guidelines.
1. You are not the media you consume. If someone doesn't like your favorite movie, it's not a personal attack. Think of it like food, not everyone's going to like olives on their pizza pie. Does that make them bad people? No. So not liking Star Wars, or Undertale, or (Insert Anime here) doesn't make them a bad person either. It's just tastes it has nothing to do with intelligence.
2. Opinions do not make an argument invalid. It's another disturbing trend, just watch an episode of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, and just about any criticism will be passed off as "Well that's just his opinion, I think the foods great" This is an issue because a good discussion you listen to their opinion, consider the perspective and see if your reality is really that correct. You don't have to please everyone obviously, but you should consider every criticism, sometimes people might notice things you don't think of it as debugging you can't find every bug, but you can decide which bugs should be features.
3. Don't block people you disagree with, unless they're legitimately going out of your way to attack you. A good friend recently ran into someone who legitimately needed a block since all the person did was spam nazi propaganda to get a shocked response, THAT is trolling. If someone leaves a criticism, that probably isn't and sometimes the people sending bitter comments are just so starved for conversation any response will do. I've met some great people just trying to get a real conversation from furries looking to "RP".
To sum it all up guys, try to talk to people more, keeping it in is slowly killing everyone.

Retiring
Posted 9 years agoFor the most part if my recent non-updates have been any evidence of it, I think I'm mostly done with this. I've requested a closing of the TTFA, 8 years at DA, and all its done is remind me how isolated I am. I'll probably still post every now and then but don't expect anything constant.
The future of this account.
Posted 10 years agoHey everyone, it's not an understatement to say that I have been a bit inactive on this account, school is a factor but barely an excuse, I've been neglecting you guys and neglecting my art. I do have an account for costume TFs here
VeruzikinEmbassy that is fairly active but you may wonder what I'll be doing here then. To be honest I had a hard time finding a style I liked, and I want this account to be my best and personal work, this has kept me from updating but not any longer.
My aim is going to be a daily personal work to keep from getting rusty even if it's just a warm up I'll post it, albeit in scraps if its really bad. I hope you guys have stuck with me through this it's

New Costume TF Account!

VeruzikinEmbassy Drop by and follow that account if you like shiny transformative suits and stuff!Art production equals will
Posted 10 years agoThe reason I haven't posted in a few months is, well I really don't have a will to draw anymore, I'm suffering from the worst art block I've ever experienced and I may not come out of it, every time I try to draw I just get disgust. I have been drawing mostly stuff to keep my hand from getting weak, but it is hardly presentable.
I'm sorry for anyone who has enjoyed my work and wishes for more, it'll be hard for me to continue in this state.

Do you think being on FA could hinder future employment?
Posted 10 years agoWhat do you think, as a professional artist should I sever my ties or at least use a different name for this site? Be honest
Interests change,
Posted 10 years agoand I'm not sure if I've changed or the site/community at large has but either way I'm not really having fun with TF drawings, and the longer I stick around the more grossed out I am by the work of my compatriots and given I don't really get the whole furry thing in the first place, I'm starting to think it'd be best if I terminated my links to this site.
One of them new fangled Social media artists.
Posted 11 years agoYeah I know I've been quiet for quite for a while, various things here and there mainly college and a lack of motivation has kept me from posting. Now for college there isn't much I can do, but the lack of motivation comes from a personal crisis that does relate to "you" meaning those willing to read this journal and even those who aren't but are following my art.
You see, though I may seem antisocial or reclusive I really want to be a social artist who streams their work and is willing to discuss with my peers the ideas I usually keep to myself. Why I hide so often is I am afraid of what being open would do for me, I am a person of varying interests, and some of those interests tend to overlap with stranger parts of the internet, of which I'm hardly interested in getting myself involved in.
In spite of that, I would really like to be one of those social artists, who posts stuff to their media sites, livestreams, and tweets (when necessary). My problem is that I also despise with a passion media whores, advertizements and spam. I've run into a few "self-promotional" artists and I immediately stop talking to them after a few days. Why? It's irritating and insulting to be sent a file or picture and get the message under it "Remember to like comment share with your friends and fuck you you're just a springboard for me to promote myself"
I don't want to be that guy, because he's an awful dispicable human being who bastardizes the relationship between a content creator and the community who enjoys said content. I want to have a community, I appreciate every comment I get and I appreciate every one of you guys who enjoys my artwork. So my question for you is how can I promote myself without using the very people who help me as a springboard?

and don't say free art I already tried that it just leads to a lot of mooching. A New Pokemon TF Artist Starts Ambitious Project!
Posted 11 years agoA real life friend inspired by my stuff among others has decided she'll do all 151 pokemon in a cute one-page comic style. She's really enthusiastic about being on the scene and I'd love to see some of you guys support her if you can. I did and got a nifty beedrill TF seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13678710/ I don't really like pokemon but I was craving a bug TF and I wanted to help out.

$10 animated icons (Concept)
Posted 11 years agoI'm in a bit of a pinch and I was wondering if anyone was interested in a 500x500 pixel animated (TF or expression) icon. I'm going to work on some "stencils" of different styles to show you guys what I mean I'm just throwing the idea out there.
Status Updates
Posted 11 years agoLife and art
Hey guys I thought I'd just give a little update on commission status and whatnot. For a few weeks now (since I finished the "Blue Scales Sequence) I've been suffering from a depression that's been robbing me of sleep, motivation and will to socialize.
Part of that was to do with project stress but another big reason why I was so demotivated was the style I had developed, it was highly processed, and far from the original ideals I was intending to portray when I started drawing such art. SO to help me get over it, I'm going to do some experimenting with style and media to hopefully capture what has been lost. Dragoniade's sequence will likely be the last one done in my old style since it's 40% done and a style change halfway through would be off-putting and nasty.
Commission Queue
Now to explain how I plan to do commissions from now on, as long as there are two commissions in the queue they will be placed on alternating slots, a primary and secondary slot.
Projected Commission order
batch 1
Primary: Dragoniade dragon TF 40% done
Secondary: jkrolak Naga TF sketches not started,
batch 2
Primary: Anonymous: Dragon TF sketch done
Secondary: Lenerd2743 Dragon TF sketches done, more pending (unpaid)
Batch 3
Primary: Princemouse Rabbit (toon) TF Sketches not started
Secondary: keanetan1 Dragon TF Sketches unfinished.
If I missed anyone or I owe you art due to other reasons PLEASE let me know!!!!
Comment if you actually read FA journals
Posted 11 years agoI'm not sure if I should post updates using these or not so let me know! If I don't get much feedback I'll just do update images.

Posted 12 years agoOkay guys really important question here. I am currently on free wifi that works decently but doesn't work too well for streaming. Right now I have the option to get a wired connection which will allow me to do perfect streaming. The problem is I need a way to sustain it, so I was thinking that I could pay for it using the money I generate from livestream commissions.
Do you think this is a good idea and would you come and participate in such Livestreams
