Streaming on Twitch
General | Posted 9 years agoA happy 2017 to all of you!
I'll keep it short and sweet: I've been streaming some live music (or editing) before on Livestream, Picarto and Youtube, but all of those platforms had some minor drawbacks or issues (Clunky streaming software, bad audio quality, availability in certain countries).
I've found a cozy place on Twitch where I plan to stay: https://www.twitch.tv/pinselohrkater
You don't need an account to watch, but having one would allow you to get notified when the stream is online - given you want that. It also means I will no longer be spamming you folks here when I'm on. :)
Thank you! <3

A (short) EF 21 Meme
General | Posted 10 years agoYes, I am attending Eurofurence 21 :) - In the unlikely case that you want any info about my stay, here's a super-short meme that should answer everything you need to know to get in touch:
Where are you staying?
Estrel
Means of transportation?
By Car
Sharing a room with?
My significant other,
ragnorena
Which languages do you speak?
German and English.
What suit(s) will you have?
Watch out for this lynx.
Attending any events?
You'll certainly catch me at the Furry Music Café, or you can find me at the audio desk during the Fursuit Game Show or Ottopia (a german pawpet show).
How can I find you at the con?
See the events I visit above. If for which reason ever you really want to meet in person, either stop by there, or send me a note here on FA; I do have internet access.

Auction Reminder (closing in ~2 hours) +Minor Update
General | Posted 11 years agoHi folks,
Those of you who follow our auction (music soundtrack + a full detail digital painting), please be reminded that ths auction ends in ~2 hours 20 minutes from this journal post. (Unlike of course there are some last-minute bidding fights.)
Information: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5570377/
Bidding: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5570334/
Current Highest Bid: $410
Auction Ends: April 27 2014, 20:00 UTC+02.00 (=8:00 pm CEST)
We had to update the time from "CET" to "CEST" as it was causing some confusion - when we put up the auction pretty much all the world was on daylights saving time; and by now everyone is on summer time. So, to be precise: 20:00 UTC+02.00, which is in a bit more than two hours. That should be fair for everyone, as - if you planned to do some last-minute bidding and were living in the US - you should have an extra hour time now.
Regards,
~Lucs

Auction - Stunning Artwork & Soundtrack for a good cause.
General | Posted 12 years agoHi!
We’d like to announce an auction for a collaboration between
ragnorena and
luchs for a fully colored, high resolution digital artwork including a professional grade soundtrack accompanying it according to the specifications you give us to work with.
100% of the closing bid will be donated to the Naturama Projekt, a yearly event held since 2011 where contributing artists raise money for various projects supported by Naturama, all focused on helping to preserve our natures and animals health and diversity.
If you have a minute or two on your paws, please watch: (Looks best in Full HD!)
https://youtu.be/fxdHOcb4qW8
Auction Details and Dates
Starting bid: $200 (USD)
Auto bid: None
Minimum increase: $5
Bids must be placed here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5570334/
Auction will end earliest on Sunday, April 27th at 8pm CEST, but not before 5 minutes after the last bid has been placed.
Payment of the winning bid must be done before May 5th 2014.
Final products will be delivered by at latest end of October, 2014. Delivery may be delayed if the commissioner is unable to provide us with the bare minimum of information we require to start working by the end of May.
What you can expect
Both of us have been active in the fandom and on FurAffinity for a while, and thus invite you to look at our galleries and profiles on other platforms to get an idea of what quality and style you can expect from both of us.
From the visual part:
You will get a full detail digital painting, featuring 1 or 2 characters of your choice (if you need more, look at the ‘perks’ section!), a detailed background with fully rendered coloration. The final canvas size of the delivered painting will be Full HD (1920x1080) pixels - if you would like a different aspect ratio or resolution we’ll try to meet your requirements if we can, but you must let us know about it before we start working.
Acceptable subjects/themes: any animal species (anthro/ feral), humanoid characters, fantasy settings, medieval settings, sci-fi settings, tasteful or artistic nudity
Non-acceptable subjects/themes: +18 content such as explicit sexual acts, any fetish related art, gore and violence.
From the music:
Along with the artwork, you will receive a musical piece to go along with it, with estimated play-time of 2 to 3 minutes. The track will be written just for this very artwork, trying to accompany its expression and theme as close as possible. We’re comfortable working with a big variety of musical genres like big cinematic soundscapes, celtic-inspired medieval themes, sci-fi ambient, western, electronica or even just a plain symphonic orchestra.
We’ll try to meet any requests as close as we can and are happy to get any input from you to come up with a result you will like. Whether you give us references of sounds which you think are great, or simply describe a scenery or emotions you’d like us to portray, both will work - and if you’d rather just have us use artistic liberty and work without specifications for the musical part, this is an option as well.
The final audio track will be mixed and mastered with professional-grade equipment and delivered to you in both lossless (.flac) and lossy (.mp3) formats. If the bid amount is high enough and we collaborate with (an) additional singer(s), you will also receive an instrumental-only version of the song.
Perks
For every full $100 over the starting bid, you get one (1) perk point, which you can use to include additional content or services. (e.g. A winning bid of $330 would get 1 perk point; a winning bid of $500 would get 3 perk points).
The winner can spend their points to get those additional perks; including any of them will consume the points noted next to them, so the total number of picks cannot be valued more points than initially granted.
1 Perk Point: 1 (one) additional character. Can be used included up to ? times.
1 Perk Point: We’ll arrange up to 5 exclusive livestream sessions of at least 2 hours each with you, giving you the possibility to watch us work on your commission (and of course, raise comments).
2 Perk Points: We’ll take both the artwork and music, and turn it into a video with simple animation. Depending on the drawing, this could be a crackling, animated campfire, moving clouds, a shooting star at the night sky - or something completely different. We’re confident we can come up with something fitting.
2 Perk Points: We’ll ship - at no further costs for you - a professional, signed & unique canvas or poster print of the artwork (without frame), including a signed and labelled CD with the music.
2 Perk Points: We will reach out to both singers and instrumentalists who are willing to collaborate with us and lend their talents, turning the musical part into a song with lyrics. There’s always a risk that people are too busy or simply can’t contribute to a specific genre. Please accept that there’s a chance that we won’t be able to fulfill this perk, and may - throughout the time when we’re working on it - ask you to pick something else.
Rules
1. Bids are only considered valid on the dedicated FurAffinity journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5570334/
2. The winner accepts to send the full amount up-front within 7 days after the auction has ended. (Transfer will be made towards the Naturama bank account directly, we, the artists, will not be involved, but instead cross-check with the Naturama team to ensure payment has been made.)
3. Payment can be done via standard bank transfer (receiving bank is located in Germany) or PayPal, details about account numbers and names are available on the Naturama website.
Questions?
Feel free to ask them here, or send either of us a note directly. We’ll be happy to answer them.
Also, we’d much appreciate your help in supporting this auction (and the Naturama project as a whole) - please help us spread the word, share this with others, and check out the Naturama website! There are many talented artists on there - maybe there’s also one you always wanted to have a commission from, this could be your chance!
Thank you so much!

Shameless advertisement for a friends adult YCH-auction (FM)
General | Posted 12 years agoHi folks,
Two friends of mine - both fine artists - have teamed up and want to start offering collaborative commissions; starting with a mature F/M YCH/pre-pose auction under their new account cymbalon.
Since the account is new and the people behind it would rather keep their regular accounts with clean artwork seperated from it, not many people have seen it - or placed a bid; so that may be your chance to get some lovely naughty artwork, and help those fine folks so they don't have to cancel the auction, or sell themselves below value.
If that caught your interest... stop by here (NSFW) http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12825630/ - and place your bid. ;)

Happy New Year!
General | Posted 12 years ago2014 is here already - in Europe and APAC at least - and I feel thrilled, excited, and even a tad bit scared looking forward to what this year will bring, or much rather: What I can do to make it awesome, and where I could fail. I won't waste your time with boring predictions and personal affairs - I simply wish all of you a great year, many good opportunties (and the courage to use them), and a lot of good quality sleep, because that's the kind you get when you have something to wake up for. And that I certainly have.

Blizzard - Behind the faders (Video)
General | Posted 12 years agoIt seems that many musicians use YouTube to publish their works, and - unlike fan-made videos which usually introduce fitting imagery well timed to the sound - I think staring at an equalizer is a rather boring thing.
Instead, let me give you look 'behind the faders' of my latest submission, "Blizzard".
What you're seeing is the mix console of Cubase 7, the channel strip, master channel meter, and the Vienna Ensemble host which is linked to Cubase, and contains all orchestral instruments used in that piece, in 1080p glory. :3
https://youtu.be/NhAzRS9Bpw0
Let me know what you think, and if that's something you'd like to see more often! But - please leave comments about the piece itself on the original submission.

Eurofurence 19 - Meme
General | Posted 12 years agoStolen from
karuno :3 - I found it rather fun to do that once. :)
Where are you staying?
At the Maritim Hotel.
Who will you be rooming with?
Me, myself and I.
What day are you getting there?
Tuesday Evening, Early Arrival/Late Departure.
Who will you hang out with during the convention?
There's a ton of people I've known for a bit but never met in person, so that list is rather long. :3 Half of them don't have an account here on FA for me to put fancy icon links, and I'd rather not even try putting down a list in order not to forget anyone.
Do you do free art or trades?
I totally draw stick figures for free, and anything else isn't worth your money, trust me. Unless of course... see next question.
Do you do commissions?
...we're talking about music/composing - which is a little difficult to do far away from my equipment and instruments here. But we can always talk about it if that's really of interest.
Will you be suiting?
Hell yeah! If you see the con team carry away a lynx that just collapsed from spending too much time in his suit (newbie, first time suiter...), that's very likely me.
Can I dance with you?
We both don't want that, trust me.
What is your gender?
I'm a genderless tooth fairy. (O.o - Male. I don't think my appearance would be misleading or confusing in any way.)
How old are you?
28! Except on monday mornings; feels more like 82'ish.
How tall are you?
190 cm - around 215 cm in suit, from feetpaws to eartufts. Booya!
Are you mated?
Does "unrequited love" count? Short answer: No. Long answer: No, and I don't see how that'd matter.
Are you top, bottom or maybe both?
Depends on the time of year. During summer I usually sleep on top of my blanket; during winter, under it.
Can I visit your room?
Depends on what you want to do there.
Can I touch you?
Unless I know you, rather not. I'm not all touchy-feely with strangers, and I also wouldn't want my friends to ruffle through my hair while purring into my ear. I've seen that happen before at other cons, and I find it creepy.
Can I talk to you?
Sure! Any time, almost any topic.
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
By saying "Hi!", or "Aloah!" if you want to suit the con theme. If in suit, doing the same, but likely somewhere in front of me where I can actually see you.
Can I hug you?
I don't mind hugs, but please have the courtesy to *offer* one (spreading arms is a great way to do that!) and give me a chance to say no if I don't feel comfortable instead of doing so unasked.
Can I take photos of you/with you?
In suit, always. Otherwise, I'd appreciate you ask first.
Can I buy you lots of drinks?
It's always nice to get invited, but you won't have to. I see it as a nice gesture, and not as a "I owe you something now!".
Do you drink Alcohol/Smoke?
I may occasionally drink some alcoholic beverages, but I won't get myself drunk or anywhere close to that state. Chances are 9 out of 10 drinks of mine won't be alcoholic. I occasionally enjoy smoking a cigarette in a place where it's allowed and doesn't bother anyone around me.
Can I give you lots of money?
No. Why'd you even want that? :3
Can I give you stuff?
Depends on "stuff". If "stuff" is a small character sketch of mine you did in a few minutes, that'd be totally awesome! If "stuff" is any form of flyers, advertisements or otherwise creepy/non-personal junk you're randomly tossing out to everyone then please don't.
Can we hang out?
I don't see why not; just keep in mind that I'll spend most of my time with close friends. If they don't mind, there's always a possibility to grab some food together or sit down and chat.
Where will you be most of the time during the con?
I have no idea! At whichever place catches my interest on that time of day/day of week.
What/where will you be eating?
I'll follow my friends advice on that and figure that out on a daily basis. However, I don't do much junk food, or go to places 'cause they're cheap'.
Can I join you for food, fun, etc.?
Don't see why not; just ask!
Can I draw you?
Of course you can!
Do you shower?
...yes.

Do you shower?
...yes.
Eurofurence 19 + Taking 1 Commission
General | Posted 12 years agoHello friends!
I'll keep it short and time-saving:
Eurofurence 19. I'll be there.
This lynx is attending Eurofurence 19 (August 2013) - yay! If all goes well, you'll not only find me wandering around the con and participating in a music/composers related SIG karuno is possibly organizing, but you might also see a rather tall lynx fursuit lurching along, randomly walking into objects/walls/people which limited vision made impossible to see. Excited as I am I'm sure I'll fill out one of those con-memes a few days/weeks before it actually starts. So, if you always wanted to say hi/buy me a drink/punch me in the face... this may be your chance!
Taking one commission.
I've had a few inquiries about my commission slot on the Naturama Project, but so far nobody has made a commitment - and I assume those who asked changed their mind. Long story short, if you want me to write a piece of music for you, go here, and either fill out the form on the Naturama Project site, or send me a note. Price will depend on complexity, so consider $100 a starting point for something like this, with the amount going up depending on complexity, length, and other artists/singers involved. Also, payment would not be made to me, but to the Naturama Project 2013, and thus go to a wildlife/animal preservation project.
Also, thank you kindly for the recent watches/favorites/comments - and especially to those of you who always take the time to write down a few words on new submissions. It means a lot to me.

HELP! Looking for Fursuit Fur, can't find the right one. :(
General | Posted 13 years agoHello friends and fellows,
As you may, or may not know, I've made the decision last year that I do want a fursuit of my fursona, asking ragnorena if she'd lend me her paws to craft one (because she's awesome at that, and I'm not). We've pretty much kickstarted everything, and so far I'm rather happy with what we have - but it's getting closer and closer to the stage where the pieces actually need fur on top of them; and I'm a bit frustrated by now.
I've ordered samples from various places, and been disappointed either by the fact that the shops simply don't deliver (overseas - destination Switzerland), they don't have anything even close to what I'm looking for, or the fur is absolutely lovely on the top, but looks like a carpet once you trim it down a little, which will be needed in some places, for sure.
The "character" for the suit is going to be my fursona, and while I don't want an exact 1:1 copy, I very much would like to get close. The pattern will be very much simplified, basically reduced to 3 shades of grey (not 50); the accessoires for sure will take care of the rest.
Now, what I need help with:
If you have any experience with fur(suits), please share with me your ideas or recommendations on how *you* would approach this. Obviously, I'm looking for long fur, in 3 grey(-SLIGHT brownish) shades, close to this reference image. Ideally, the fur would have some slight pattern/color variation, as we're going for a semi-realistic look.
So far, what we've done:
- We ordered fur from fabric.com. The shop is annoying as hell because every time, and only *after* I pay for it, I get informed that it's been put on backlog, and eventually my order gets cancelled.
- We've ordered various samples from fauxthrow.com - the fur is wonderful, the shop is nice, but they don't really offer the right color choices, and the few patterns which actually are interesting look horrible when trimmed down.
- We've ordered fur samples from a supplier in Germany (Zanderino) - shipping took forever, and while the quality is good, the fur is jus way too short.
- We do have some fur from Mendels, but it's just a solid color, and not overly exciting for a semi-realistic suit.
What we haven't done:
- Consider any form of airbrushing; mostly because we're afraid that durability will decrease a lot, it would fade out, become hard to clean, and more importantly, neither of us have any experience with it.
What I'm looking for:
- Recommendations. For...
- ...any supplier which ships samples (internationally), is reliable, has good quality and (long) fur that comes close to the colors shown above, or a slightly more brownish version of them.
- ...any other means to use "basic", easy-to get long high-quality fur and bring it to that color and make it look interesting enough to be suitable for a semirealistic suit.
- ...airbrushing and experience with that; and possibly a small statement about how feasible it is to do it for a full body suit with those target colors; and what to expect in terms of durability.
Costs/Prices are currently no selection criteria.
If you've made it until here, well - thank you for reading this, and even more: Thank you for any recommendations/feedback/ideas!

In case you were wondering...
General | Posted 13 years ago...which underrated artists you should check out and watch today:
Rowan.Raedwulf ,
zikaur and
SiplickIshida would be my recommendations.
...why it's been so quiet around me lately, and I don't upload/write as much music as I'd like?
Let's just say... furry, fluffy, magnificient and adorablycute and cuddly fierce things are in the works. Even though there's not a lot of fur on them yet. Click me - I'm a silly YouTube link. (And in case YouTube bitches at you, here's the same thing on Vimeo).
...why I'm suddenly all creative and talented at crafting fursuit parts (and eventually a full suit):
I'm not. 99.9% of what you'll see from it (and in that video) was created by the amazing
ragnorena
...what I'm working on right now, at this VERY second?
You can see that here. There's a 33% Chance I'm sleeping right now.

Thank you!
General | Posted 13 years agoMy apologies for the short journal here spam here; there are 2 things I need to get out.
#1: New Watchers/Comments/Favorites!
...thank you! For taking the time to listen to my works, for the lovely comments, the watches - it's flattering, it's motivating, and I apologize for being a lazy bum who's just bad at catching up with the FA messages, and likely didn't manage to leave everyone a personal thank you.
#2: Lyrics.
I'm writing some lyrics for a new piece; and I'm kind of stuck, which isn't a good thing. HELP! If you can still read that text here and feel like "Hey, I'm good at writing text that rhymes!" - join me on livestream: http://livestream.com/luchs/ - I'd love to give you a preview of what I'm currently working on, what I have so far, including artwork that goes along with it. In return, I'd be happy if you could share some ideas, comments or even verses for the lyrics I'm trying to complete. It's an awkward request, but english isn't my native tongue, and I want this to turn out lovely! I can't promise I can use everything that gets tossed at me, but sometimes it just takes a little inspiration. :3

Naturama: Your opportunity to commission me & help animals.
General | Posted 13 years agoI usually don't take commissions - so if you always wanted me to try and write a piece of music for that very special project (or character) of yours - this may be your chance, as I'll be taking one - possibly two - commissions for the Naturama Project.
If you're not quite familiar with what this is:
The Naturama Project is an event that's now being held for the third year, where lots of artists take commissions, however, payment is not made to the artist, but to the Naturama Project pool, which will then donate the collected money to a few nature & animal preservation projects of which the participating artists have chosen one they want to contribute to. My choice was that payment to any commission I'll accept to take will end up in the donation pot of whichever project has the smallest amount of donations so far.
Read all about it here: http://naturama-projekt.org/en/naturama.php
You'll find my spot in the "Music & Literature" section. However, be warned that my spot will be pricey. Music projects can take a huge amount of time, and - especially if it's for a good cause - I actually do sleep better if I know that my (and possibly your) contribution won't just be a drop in the ocean. If you'd like to commission me, use the contact form on the Naturama page and leave a brief description of what you're looking for, what it'd be worth to you, and how I can contact you. I have no idea how many requests I'll receive that way, but from all of them, I'll pick one (or possibly two) which I'll accept, given the offer sounds good and I'm confident that I can come up with something that will meet that request.

Merry 2013 & Thanks to all of you!
General | Posted 13 years agoIt's 2013 already, it seems; the apocalypse didn't happen - fortunately! - and the new year once again is full of opportunities and surprises for all of us, hopefully mostly enjoyable ones.
I haven't had much time to browse around here and say "Thank you!" for the comments and watches I received I'm afraid - so I hope you (yes, you!) accept my gratitude even if it comes slightly belated in form of this journal. Christmas isn't always easy. It's a thoughtful time for most, a part of the year where you spend time with your family and your beloved ones and share love and honesty. The lights on the streets, the christmas carols on the radio, the smell in the stores and the TV shows all create that illusion of a picture perfect world in harmony - which at the same time is what makes the dark areas in our lifes and hearts sometimes appear a little darker and emptier than usual with this huge contrast.
My wishlist for this year is a small one. I want to take care of myself, my cats, be the best friend one can possibly be to those I consider close and dear to me, and I need to learn to be less pseudo-productive. I'm the kind of person that gets crazy if I spend 5 minutes without doing anything I consider to be 'useful' - and it's about time for me to appreciate doing nothing at all, and getting a bit calmer and more relaxed.
That won't be easy! I still want to write music. A lot of it! And I'm already super excited about almost every upcoming week-end, as I get to spend it with a dear friend and - *gasp!* - work on a fursuit. I'm curious how that'll turn out, but I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun.
Take care y'all, enjoy the year - and expect more music on this account. :3

How to make your neighbours love you - In 3 easy steps!
General | Posted 13 years ago1. Make sure (and this is most important step!) that you're completely uncapable of playing any form of electric guitar. (Being a fan of heavy metal, rock and any other form of noisy music however is perfectly fine!).
2. Get yourself a Yamaha Pacifica. (Also, make sure any knobs on any equipment that are related to 'gain', 'overdrive' and 'distortion' are fully turned up. This is serious business!)
3. Profit. - http://snd.sc/QusMHE
...this is going to be fun.

...It's over 2000!
General | Posted 13 years ago...favorites, that is. Yikes - I just noticed. What can I say?
1st of all: Thank you for all the attention my music gets here on FA. Just like every artist would like his drawings to be seen, every musician wants his music to be heard. There are so many different genres and tastes in music out there, it's not possible to please everyone, and all that positive and constructive feedback makes me quite humble.
2nd: My apologies to all who left a comment, watch, shout or favorite which I didn't manage (or simply forgot) to answer to. My life can be hectic, sometimes I just don't find time to answer to all of it, don't feel like I have anything of value to say, or simply need to focus my mind on other tasks to get ahold of inspiration and motivation again once a glimpse of it shows up.
3rd: I'm all out of words. Thank you! :3

Cats + Guitars - And: Back from 2 weeks of Wisconsin!
General | Posted 13 years ago...which, In case you wondered, would explain my lack of presence around here. It was nice, as usual, and purely related to business - as usual. Except for last wednesday, when I attended the first evening of Summerfest in Milwaukee! Now that was amazing!
While I was snagging some pictures off my camera, Udo decided to visit and watch me. Which eventually ended up in me pushing the record button, and grabbing the guitar. I'm a bloody amateur with that instrument, seriously, and merely wanted to tease him a little. Well...
https://youtu.be/z3CpQyWM2Jo
I doubt that'd work with small children, but if any of your dads/moms tired of singing goodnight-songs have a guitar laying around, you might as well give it a try!
Update: I just had to repeat that experiment with the princess...

The lynx dares you to...
General | Posted 13 years ago1) Post an image link to whichever device(s) you use to listen to my (and other) music!
Optional: Specify the name/model of that piece of equipment, and if you feel like, add some words explaining its awesomeness/awkwardness.
2) State your favourite genre(s) of music!
Optional: Tell me what makes a good (or a bad) song in your opinion.
Optional: Provide YouTube links for everyone to click and listen.
3) Ask me any question you'd like me to answer - and I will!
Disclaimer: Depending on the nature of the question, the answer may involve sarcasm.
4) In your mind, listen to your favourite song you'd write (given you were the worlds most awesome composer!), and tell me nothing but the title you'd pick for it.
Disclaimer: Skip that step if you'd be offended by me feeling inspired and actually writing/publishing a song with that name...
5) Name one of my tracks of which you think I should do more pieces like that one!
Optional: Add them to your favourites if they're not there yet - so you can easily find them again. *cough*
6) Direct a friend/your parents/your worst enemy/all your enemies/everyone you know/someone completely random to my FA page.
Optional: Head to my gallery yourself, and listen to a track you haven't listened to before!
7) If you're a smart, cheerful, self-confident and independent single lady somewhat around my age: Tell me why we haven't met yet!
Optional: Add me on Skype!
Optional: Add me on Skype anyway even if you don't meet that criteria, but feel like poking/stalking/chatting with the lynx. x3
(Participation is voluntary. There's nothing to win. Except for the experience of making a silly feline smile. And my gratitude. And a hug! At least, a virtual one. Unless there's the unrealistic chance that there'll ever be a chance for a real hug exchange. In which case I might consider it. Possibly! Even when I'm famous until then. Which is unlikely, too. Responding to this journal would be the expected way to answer those points which require any response on your behalf. But you certainly knew that. And no, I feel no shame for this. >3)

Call for inspiration
General | Posted 14 years agoI'll keep it short: The past few weeks have been dull and uncreative. I want to write music, but I currently lack the inspiration; the 'movie that plays in my head' which I can put down the score for.
Do you have a drawing or a story that touches you? A painting, an image, a short poem or even a small novel of something that stirrs your emotions?
Please feel free to dump/link it here; with or without a comment; you can also leave a title recommendation for how you'd label a matching (currently non-existing) music track, if you want to. I can't promise it'll work for me; but I'll look at/read/consume whatever you nice folks toss at me - and if it tickles my inspiration, I'll get my paws on the score sheet right away.
Only criteria: 100% Silent stuff. No videos with audio; no music.
Yours faithfully,
~Currently uninspired but motivated Lynx

General | Posted 14 years agoOy vey.
Life's been different during the past few months. Not always in a pleasant way, but very much so, regarding my music.
I'm not sure what initially triggered it (maybe the fascination to write an actual movie score?), but I seem to have gained some musical 'momentum', which isn't even close to attenuate, but instead growing stronger. And I am obliged to all of you for it.
Not only do I get a lot of encouraging feedback here; I also start to stumple upon links or even discussions to & about those tracks on Twitter, forums, or journal entries here on FA of someone shouting a 'Check this out!' to their watchers. I'm not popular, compared to other artists, but to me, it seems... 'big', and it feels incredibly flattering.
Allow me to use the opportunity to simply say thank you for that.
Also, I'm excited to announce that I'm currently working on two vocal tracks (*cough*), with two wonderful and talented singers. If all goes well, I should be able to finish what's still required on my behalf; and be able to share those with you by the end of this week.
Thank you.

Boy confessions...
General | Posted 15 years agoShamelessly stolen from
luxy, who stole it from
roarlinglion, who in turn already st... you get the idea. I don't know why I felt the urge to post that, but.. here it is!
1.Do you sleep naked?
Rarely; but it happens due to laziness.
2. Do you sleep with socks on?
Usually not. Unless it's freezing and I'm cold.
3. Would you rather sleep alone or with someone else?
With someone else, of course - once I find that special someone.
4. Do you enjoy drama?
No. It's unproductive, and I rather spend my time doing something enjoyable.
5. Are you a manly man?
That's a vague question. I'm male; and happy with that. I don't feel the need to put on make-up or wear a skirt; but I'm not hanging out at the gym in super-tight sports clothing, either.
6. Who was the last person you hugged?
My sister.
7. Small or large package?
Hmm... nothing I'd have to be ashamed of. I don't have a comparison chart available, sorry. ;)
8. Are you short?
1.91 meters - so, I guess not, no.
9. Do you like somebody?
I like many people.
10. Does your Facebook password have to do with a girl?
I'm not on Facebook.
11. Do you care if your socks are dirty?
I have enough of them to change them daily over a longer amount of time - so, that rarely happens. Otherwise: No.
12. Do you think you’re conceited?
Of course I am. Even though I try to avoid making it obvious.
13. Do you dress up on Halloween?
No dresses; but I usually work for a theatre during that time of year, so... you might see me backstage with some whiskers.
14. Are you double jointed?
I'm not sure I looked that up properly; but if I did: Yes.
15. Where is the weirdest place you have slept?
Hospital, foreign country, horrible conditions; felt much like an old prison.
16. Has anyone touched/smacked your butt in the past 24 hours?
Most certainly not.
17. Is there any type of rumor going around about you?
There might be; I don't know of any, though.
18. Do you call anybody by their last name?
Nah.
19. How many girls will read this just because it says "Boy Confessions"?
Not many. Those who read it probably would have read any other journal entry, too.

1. What color is your underwear?
Black.
2. Do you prefer light or dark haired girls?
No preference.
3. Are you currently frustrated with a girl?
No.
4. What's one thing a girl can do to make you like them?
Be authentic, and resist the urge to always read between the lines. Some things do have a deeper meaning; most of them don't. And, following up there: If there's more than one way to interpret something I've said or done; assume it's the positive version. There's nothing I dislike more than having to settle or deal with artificial drama. Simple lynx is simple.
5. Do you have a best friend?
No.
6. Have you ever had your heart broken?
No.
7. Have you ever thought of having plastic surgery?
No.
8. Do you like your life?
I do. Everyone has dreams and ideas how things could be even better; or goals they'd like to achieve, but so far haven't managed to; but I honestly can't complain. Not when there's a billion people on this planet suffering from chronic hunger.
10. Has one of your friends ever stolen a girlfriend from you?
No.
11. Have you ever jumped in the pool with your clothes on?
Yes, but not voluntarily...
12. Do you have more friends that are girls or boys?
I don't know; close to 50/50 I think.
14. Have you ever slapped anybody in the face?
No.
15. What are your biggest fears?
Losing my family. Hurting the people I deeply care about. Wasting time; looking back in 10 years only to ask 'What have I accomplished?' - with 'Nothing' as the answer.
16. Have you ever cried yourself to sleep?
Yes.
17. Have you ever not been able to get someone off of your mind?
Yes. Time helps, I noticed.
18. Do you believe in the saying "once a cheater, always a cheater?"
Cheating as in 'cheating in a relationship'? If so: No. People can change, and circumstances matter. But: Trust is the foundation for every relationship. If I'd face that situation, I can't tell in advance if I'd still be able to continue keeping it up; but I doubt so.
19. Have you ever had a good feeling about something?
Yes.
20. Do you ever wish you were famous?
Fame... well. I'd like to be famous, of course. But I'd like to be famous because many people like what I do; my music, for example. I'd like to be 'appreciated' probably is the better term.
21. Are you currently missing someone?
No.
THIS GIRL OR THAT GIRL? PICK ONE:
Cowgirl or Gangster?
Cowgirl.
Preppy or Punk?
Preppy.
Face or Body?
Personality.
Good cook or take you out a lot?
Good cook; that leaves the second option open for me. :)
Sweet or sexy?
A bit of both. ;)
Armani or Abercrombie?
I don't care.
Contacts or glasses?
I don't care, either.

The lynx is alive... sort of.
General | Posted 15 years agoDuring the past few months, life had many surprises for me. If I'd start writing about all that happened, I guess I'd still be at it in 4 hours, and end up with a wall of text, so... I won't even start, as this story doesn't belong here. I'd like to shout out two things, though:
First, I'm currently in a very 'consuming' situation, as a family member is struggling with a serious health issue, and fighting to keep his life, and as much of it as possible to make it life-worthy. Maybe writing more music will be my way to regain some energy to continue being there for them, maybe not; please don't be angry if I won't respond to a message, or it'll take me a long time. For those who've asked me how I've been and are yet waiting for a response: Thank you - for caring.
Second, I've postponed my FA activity for a long time now, and just cleaned all my messages; Over 1000+ submissions and journals I can't possibly read and look at individually. To the many people who have watched me in the meantime (or simply favourited some of my works): Thank you! I'm sorry if I can't find the time to leave a shout or a comment to say that personally, but it really means a lot to me.
That's about it already. The lynx is alive, and if there's any new music I have to share with the world, it will end up here as soon as I can find the time.
Thank you!
