I just wanted to make a post about the best place to find my art. For a long time I've struggled with where to post my artwork. Twitter is not very viable, and I don't have the time to keep up with multiple galleries anymore. I finally settled on Patreon to be my posting platform of choice.

Well hello there.

It's been.... too long! Since I've updated my FA! The last couple years have been incredibly crazy and busy! I won't bore you with the details there. I fell out of the routine of updating my online galleries, and while I still have been doing art, I've only been posting it to Twitter and Instagram. Streaming Schedule:
I'm going to try my best to stream a lot more often. I will stream almost any time I am doing art. This is usually every weeknight from about 7pm-10pm (Mountain Time), and weekends can be all day long. I usually take Friday nights "off" to watch TV and relax and do nothing.

Well I've been trying to hold off doing this for a while. I'm still working on some owed work I have, but it seems everything has finally come to a head and I have to take on some commissions to make some extra money.

Without getting into a ridiculous amount of personal detail, we're in a bit of a rough state right now. Maybe a little more than "a bit"... It's to the point where my bf is talking about getting a second job, which is what I may have to end up doing as well. I hate having to be like "help me plz" but this time it's pretty serious :/

I've got to do something to generate some extra funds. So, I need to offer some smaller commissions (but AWESOME looking, if I may say so myself.)

There's this totally awesome new site that I got hooked on; you may have already heard of it around FA. Furry Network. This site is super slick, I really enjoy the look and feel of it! It even has an "FA Import" to import all your artwork, your avatar, and even people you watch!!! How easy is that?! Seriously check it out, I hope this site gets big, it could be a household name for the furry community.

Eventually I'm gonna redo it and make it all prettiful and add tutorials, workshops, and videos. For now, I'm still workin on all of those things. But please take a look, I'm pretty proud of it. ^^ (go easy on me though it's my first website ok? ;n; )

YOU MAY NOTICE that there is a commission section that does not designate if commissions are open or closed. I'm pretty proud of my commission section actually. So I've left it open and available for people to click and fill out a commission form.

Second.......wow I've been busy with art. Currently working on several commissions (what feels like all at once), am trying really hard to do Inktober this year (and so far failing, have only done 4....) And just all around busy with life. I took two days off of work and it doesn't even feel like it was time off of work, although I did very much enjoy my mini art-vacation... I wish I could do it every day. *longing sigh*

Still hacking through my to-do list and a lot of items spilled over from September, but I hope to get all this crap done soon. Several watercolor paintings are in the works as well as digital so there is a massive ton of art coming. Just have to find time to finish them all. *ugh*

BUT THEN, I will be opening for commissions again, so stay tuned :D I have a more streamlined order process coming and an organized list of examples and stuff, so it's gonna be great ^_^

1) I hate my job. I really do. I really wish I could do something else.... There are some perks; I have
my own office, I get to browse the internet and do stuff like write DA journals when I'm not busy, I
get paid a livable wage and I get health benefits. But you know..... The cons just outweigh the pros
at this point. In short, my employer is kinda stuck up and seems to care about his employees, but
some things he does really makes me think that he doesn't... Example; he refuses to give us direct
deposit ( mainly b/c he doesn't feel that he has "control" over payroll with direct deposit... but other
seemingly selfish reasons too), when many staff members in this office live paycheck to paycheck,
like myself, and we need our money right away when we get paid. Made even tougher by the fact that
our paychecks have a 1 business day hold on them... So even if you do go deposit it on payday, you
still don't get it til the next day. :/ There are other things that I'm growing to not like either.... such as
the fact that when you get yelled at & treated horribly by a client and you bring it to his attention, it's
either a) basically "suck it up" or b) "Well tell me next time it happens and I'll handle it" and then when
you tell him about the next time, the answer will be ok I'll talk to them briefly and then YOU get to deal
with them some more. Yeah.......... many other things but I'm not going to get in to them...... Let's just
recap by saying I really need to figure something else out.

I mentioned it before but I have beefed up my rewards again, and there are several monthly raffles
that you could participate in by pledging even $1.00! Please, this is my way on the side to try to make
some money to help support myself (in conjunction with my commission rate) so that I can do what I
really love for a living........... art.

I'm not just crapping out art left and right, I WORK HARD for this. I go to my actual, crappy job from
8am-5pm, and then I come home, cook dinner for the household, help clean up, and spend the
remaining very few hours of the day doing art. I'm beginning to feel exhausted from basically working at
SOMEthing from sunup to sundown every single day. Weekends are spent toiling away at art trying to get
as much stuff done as I can, because I don't have any other huge chunks of time other than weekends. I
hardly even get to spend time with my boyfriend because I spend so much time trying to work towards my
goal. And even then, I feel bad when I DO do something other than art, because I feel like I should be arting. :/
I fear I'll never reach the goal of doing this for a living.... and that just crushes me.

I make a point to reward my patrons every chance I get; either with surprise art, more raffles, discounts on

Yeah, that's right, all this art was virtually FREE for my Patrons! Some were raffles, automatic monthly
rewards, and random gifts. Yes, I said random gifts. I love to shower my patrons in art, and once I am free
of my to-do list I'm going to focus on doing MORE Patreon rewards. There is even an option for a
WATERCOLOR SKETCHBOOK, where you get 20-30 watercolor pieces (depending on # of pages in book)
in a watercolor sketchbook, which gets sent to you when it's completed! AND in addition to all of that.........

A LIVE COMMISSION STREAM is going to be held on October 17th (possibly the 18th too) for Halloween
themed commissions!! Characters in costumes? Horrible mutations? Horror flick scenarios?? ANYTHING
GOES!!! Blood, guts, horror, costumes, candy--anything! It's going to be so much fun, I love Halloween
and I haven't done any real Halloween art in years. So please, mark your calendars and prepare for scary
commissions on the 17th! :D As with my previous streams, you can come into the stream and commission
a piece and watch it be created before your eyes ^_^ I do not know how many I'll be able to do in a day but
I guess we'll find out!

In other news, I am still working through my to-do list as I would REALLY love to open up some more commissions in October.

some more commissions! On a more personal note, after this round of digital work, I'm probably going to go back to doing a lot more
watercolor work, something I've really gotten away from. I realized the last couple weeks how much I miss painting, and I'm really
glad to be getting back to it. I can't wait to produce more paintings and take on watercolor commissions soon! ^_^

Whew, so, I buckled down and got some stuff done yesterday... well okay not DONE done.... mostly everything is still kinda in-progress.... BUT I got a fair bit accomplished. Should have taken today off of work, dangit. :/

Well at any rate, I have a huuuuuuge to-do list for September, and my biggest goal is to finish all of my owed art by the end of the month. Yeah, that's a lot of art....... :/ But um, I'm really hoping to make it. I'm gonna do my damndest to finish everything! I've already finished one, and I hope to get two more finished tonight!

So in other news, I hit a milestone on Patreon!! :D YAAAYYY!!!!! I've reached a goal of $50 a month, and for reaching that goal I will be getting an FA ad (as soon as I can make one xD) and I will be doing on-demand commissions starting next month (October)! WOO HOO!! This is pretty awesome and I'm really happy and thankful for my awesome Patrons <3 I am really excited to get an ad on FA as I believe this will (hopefully) bring a lot of traffic to my page and get my name out there :3

I already have an idea for my first commission stream too--since it'll be October, why not something Halloween themed!? Characters in costumes? Creepy critters?? Horror-flick situations?? OH MY.

Sunday 8/30/15 I will be holding an Icon Commission Stream! Similar to last week's sketch commission stream, only I will be doing icons! :D

I don't have any icon examples, unfortunately.... but they will basically be smaller, square versions of my painted portraits! ^^ The icons will be completed in a 6x6 square at 400DPI, and you will receive multiple versions of the icon that you may use as your personal avatar. :)

Couple's icon - $35
Triplet icon - $45 (I noticed some people that have these so I'll put it on the list xD)

How stream commissions will go down:
- Jump into the stream at any time, and ask for a slot! I don't really know the max number of slots I will be taking right now. YES, you may claim more than 1 slot at a time! (Going to keep a notepad on my screen with the queue!) But let's not go crazy--no more than 3 slots at a time for one person.

- Once you are on the list, I will ask you to email me (lucidkitsune@gmail.com) the following details:

~ Your name/Fa/DA/Weasyl handle
~ Character's name and references (links or attachments)
~ Any specifics you would like in your icon, i.e. tongue sticking out, facing the left, space background. etc. If you name no specifics I will take artistic liberty with your icon!

Okay so here's the deal.

I had SO much fun doing the stream thing last weekend that I really wanna do it again. Problem is I have so much art to do already. ;n; BUT I had so much fun doing live commissions that I wanna do it again!! However, I really want to do something different--I would really like to do icons, because they are small and so versatile, and just really fun to do!

So here's what I'm thinking, trying to work it in to an upcoming schedule for the weekend:

Thursday: Working on Sanies's painting, will be streaming from approximately 7pm-10pm
Friday: Working on Sanies's painting, will be streaming from approximately 7pm until whenever I get tired, cause hey, it's Friday!!
Saturday: MIGHT work on that painting in the morning, until approx. 3pm. From 3pm until whenever, I am working one-on-one with a commissioner to design & illustrate his races over stream. (This will likely not be a private stream so you are of course welcome to watch)
Sunday: POSSIBLE COMMISSION STREAM. It actually kinda depends on how exhausted I am from Saturday? xD But I really want to do a commission stream and do icons!

_{Also my Daniel Smith watercolors are scheduled to be delivered on Saturday....... and that might take over my life for a bit I dunno yet D: Watercolor icons maybe?? WHO KNOWS.}

Keep in mind this schedule is not concrete and can change depending on life happenings, but as of right now I really hope it stays this way! :D
