Stream was AWESOME :D
General | Posted 10 years agoI am exhausted, but in a good way! Well... actually part of it is because I just couldn't sleep last night for whatever reason x.x
BUT the stream on Saturday was SO FLIPPIN AWESOME, and you guys are the ones that MADE it awesome! Thanks to you wonderful people I'm about 1/6th of the way to being able to buy a nice Daniel Smith watercolor set ^__^ Yippee! (Also yes 1/6th is a substantial amount considering how many colors I want to buy...)
Just wanted to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who attended, even if you happened to just stalk quietly from the shadows, it's the thought that counts <3 To everyone who joined me in Skype, it was a blast talking to you all. I'm sorry I could not juggle drawing, talking, and watching the chat at all times, it was difficult for me @_@ I hope you didn't feel ignored at all! I need to hire a chat moderator to tell me when people are talking to me xD
Still though, I had a great time, and 8 hours of drawing was actually really fun! Yes I was exhausted afterwards but the adrenaline rush kept me going xD I also REALLY really enjoyed the variety of animals I got to draw!! I love being challenged and all the non-canine things I got to work with was really fun ^_^
I am seriously considering doing this type of event every few weeks or once a month or something. I liked being able to do some quick commissions for people who may have been waiting to try to commission me, and the colored sketches are things I can do rather quickly. Plus, I can take on some simple commissions without having to add to my huge to do list, which is nice both for you guys and for me!
As for other streams, I am planning on streaming a lot more. I may not always have my mic on but I will be able to type chat! There is a sketch from the stream the other day that has been upgraded to a full painting, so I am definitely going to be streaming some of that ^^
I think one of the things that keeps me from streaming more often is that I sometimes get stuck painting certain things and I mess up terribly and then have to redo things, or I struggle with finding a method that works for certain parts... So it's almost stressful knowing that people are watching me struggle. x__x;;

Please let me know if you guys would be interested in a bi-weekly or monthly event like this! I would be super happy to do this on a regular basis :3

Ok everyone, it's been a really long time since I've streamed at all. Partly because I have been working on some super secret Patreon work, but also because in my new house it's hard to have quiet time to be able to have my mic on and talk to you all.
This weekend I expect to have some quiet time (hopefully) and I would like to do some kind of streaming event! I will either just stream what I'm working on, or I'll host some kind of Q & A or chat time kind of thing.
I think I will also do small commissions, which will be FREE for Patrons, and cost anywhere from $5 to $10 for non-patrons for a small picture drawn in-stream. :D $5 will prolly be a little sketch, $10 will be color of some sort.
I would love to answer questions, I like answering questions and talking about stuff, so please tell me what kind of content you would be most interested in! ^_^ I don't much care for streaming when no one says anything and I just sit there in silence......... Nor is it very fun when only 1 or 2 people show up xD

Or you can ask any other drawing/painting/whatever related questions, I'm cool with that too.

RMFC update - OK I"M GOING

How to spot a Lucid:
- Short reddish hair, glasses
- half-sleeve kitsune tattoo on right arm, multiple other tattoos
- probably wearing plain black t-shirt or tank top
- hopefully will have a badge made that I can wear.
There is also a photo of me on my page but not sure how clear it is.
I will probably be going Saturday. I don't know if I'll bring a sketchbook with me or not, but if you really do find me and you want me to draw you something, I will be happy to draw in/on something you provide. ^^

So here's the scoop.......... I have no one to go with, and I do not know anyone here in the fandom, most literally :< Every time RMFC passes me by, I see all the awesome pics and all the fun stuff I missed....... and it makes me sad.
PLUS I looked at the dealers room map and OH MY GOD so many amazing people there..... Vantid, DarkNatasha, Laura Garabedian, Winter Soul Studios, ShinigamiGirl, Idess, Eskiworks, Tooiebird, She Paints With Blood, AND SO MANY MORE PEOPLE THAT I..........stalk from afar........and adore............ and am afraid to talk to......... ;n;
I hate going to things by myself like a weirdo

So hi FA, I will be more active here :D
FA is drama free, right????? :D
...I'm totally kidding. Nowhere is drama free. I know that. It's just getting old over at DA. At first I was like, "Ok, everyone's gotta run a business, and not everyone is going to like changes you make." I'm sure it happens everywhere, all the time. But it truly is starting to seem like they do not give a flying crap about their users. I read that they even disabled comments on their FB or something; I'm not sure what that's about or if it's even true, but if it is, that is pretty downright shitty.
Anywhoo, I'm really bad at maintaining multiple websites, it's bad enough trying to juggle Patreon and Tumblr and a main gallery. I just don't have the time for it, but I'm gonna try to be better about it.
Going to be updating my Weasyl as well *blows dust off of it* and hopefully be more active here and over there!
Plus I know there's a lot of people here who don't even go on DA, so there's that. Maybe my art will reach more people here and on Weasyl. I can only hope..... :/

WOW it's been awhile....but I'm back!

A lot has happened in the past couple months.... long story short, we were trying to buy a house. Got denied on 2 offers on 2 perfect houses that would have been fabulous.... Then today, after those other 2 heartbreaks, we find out that our loan was inevitably denied. So... now we can't buy a house at all....
I'm going on a hiatus from certain things like FA and other sites.... The one exception will be my Patreon for now which I will continue to update.
I am still working on art and commissions owed. You will still receive updates etc. on your commissions in the coming weeks. I'm not quitting art.
I just.... need some time.... and no, it's not like the internet is causing any real huge stress in my life... I just feel like I need to cut some things for now, and not feel like it's a responsibility...

I'm making significant headway and have only ONE older commission left. HOORAY. Then it's on to two newer ones and then taking more.
Without going into too much detail here.... I need to raise about $800 in the next couple weeks. :/ More would be nice but that's the minimum. Extra expenses are popping up all over the place and we're trying to buy a house ;n; So yeah.... Working my lil butt off on art right now. Details will come later....
SO totally wish I has a cintiq companion, omg. I could be working on art at my work desk right now. :| Such a waste of valuable time when I'm not doing anything.....
Next big expense after all this stuff is over with and house is bought is definitely going to be a companion. Portability would be SO nice.
Suppose I'll try to finish up my patreon sketches at work..
ANYWAYS. Commissions. Soon. I promise!!! ^^ As I said before, I'm probably going to do only watercolor character commissions this round. I haven't quite decided yet. Maybe it will be a mix of watercolor and digital commissions, I don't know yet!

1. WHAT KIND OF TRIPS/TRICKS/ETC WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE FROM ME?
This is mostly for my Patreon, but I can't think of anything useful that I know that others might not know.... so please, if there's something you are curious about the way I do things, tell me!!! I will happily answer you question, most likely with photos or a video! (Can be related to digital or watercolor or even just drawing!)
2. WOULD YOU LIKE TO PURCHASE PRINTS?
I'd like to set up an Etsy shop or Storenvy with some prints, and probably add original artwork for sale later on. They would likely not be as expensive as DA... Just an FYI on that!
3. DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR TUTORIALS?
My other tutorial is nice but I would like to update it in the future. I don't exactly have a digital process yet otherwise I would make a tutorial of that! Suggestions are completely welcome here; anything from drawing things to composition to painting certain things.

Look I get it if you're busy you're busy, I'm not arguing that. Some people work, a lot of people are overseas on different time zones, some people just don't like to watch streams and I get that. But I advertise on DA, FA, and Tumblr when I stream, and seriously my max viewers are like 4. And it hardly ever gets THAT high.... There was only one time a long time ago that I actually had 10 viewers at once. Sorry but this is quite disheartening. I generally just attribute this to the fact that cooler people than me are streaming, but it's pretty constant, so.... I dunno. I need some opinions on this.

Streams and Patrons
General | Posted 11 years agoOMG I finally reached 5 patrons!! *ecstatic*
Ok I know 5 isn't a lot but IT'S A LOT TO ME. And each and every one of you are so amazing right now and I can't thank you enough! <3 THAT MEANS THAT NEXT MONTH THERE WILL BE A RAFFLE! I have a GoogleDocs spreadsheet of the raffle list, and will use random.org to generate a number. That corresponding cell holds the winner! The art will likely change every month, but next month I will be giving away a free watercolor character illustration such as this! :D
There will also be upcoming Patreon only art :D (I just have to think of some now...) And even though those of you who just started pledging will not be paying until next month, I will still do sketches for you as a thank you <3 [sub]Just please bear with me I have so much stuff going on right now ;n;[sub]
That being said I'm gonna have to find more time for art >.< It isn't easy, especially with a large commission on my hands, but that thing SHOULD be done soon. it better be done this weekend... :faint:
SO the plan is still on for streaming tonight! I'll have to update my computer software because I'll be streaming through Tigerdile tonight. If you don't have a login yet, go grab one, and you can subscribe to my channel to get email alerts when I start streaming!
My usual journal/submission/etc will be posted when the stream begins.
In other news, I saw that Tigerdile has a password protected stream option, which means I can do a Patreon only stream soon! I am not sure when yet, or of what, but it will be... someday... soon... I hope.... Maybe some sortof open floor tutorial/Q&A type thing... Anyway we'll get to that.
PS if anyone has any suggestions for things they would like to see or do, such as tutorial streams, Patreon only art.... feel free to throw out your ideas ^^ I want to give you guys what YOU want, not what I want!!

Ok I know 5 isn't a lot but IT'S A LOT TO ME. And each and every one of you are so amazing right now and I can't thank you enough! <3 THAT MEANS THAT NEXT MONTH THERE WILL BE A RAFFLE! I have a GoogleDocs spreadsheet of the raffle list, and will use random.org to generate a number. That corresponding cell holds the winner! The art will likely change every month, but next month I will be giving away a free watercolor character illustration such as this! :D
There will also be upcoming Patreon only art :D (I just have to think of some now...) And even though those of you who just started pledging will not be paying until next month, I will still do sketches for you as a thank you <3 [sub]Just please bear with me I have so much stuff going on right now ;n;[sub]
That being said I'm gonna have to find more time for art >.< It isn't easy, especially with a large commission on my hands, but that thing SHOULD be done soon. it better be done this weekend... :faint:
SO the plan is still on for streaming tonight! I'll have to update my computer software because I'll be streaming through Tigerdile tonight. If you don't have a login yet, go grab one, and you can subscribe to my channel to get email alerts when I start streaming!

In other news, I saw that Tigerdile has a password protected stream option, which means I can do a Patreon only stream soon! I am not sure when yet, or of what, but it will be... someday... soon... I hope.... Maybe some sortof open floor tutorial/Q&A type thing... Anyway we'll get to that.

Well, this weekend is going to be interesting. For one, I'll have the house to myself on Friday which is AWESOME. Everyone is going out doing things. So I'm like, "Ok well I'm gonna be a hermit and curl up in my corner and do arts!" So..... TENTATIVELY, I may do a little livestream on Friday while I work on my painting for fangsnowpaws. We will have to see, as I'll have to use my laptop and it doesn't seem to like the streaming software. And I need to set up my Tigerdile account. But we'll see what happens. :D And I hate to even mention this because it seems like every time I PLAN to stream, something ends up happening and I can't. :/ So please don't be disappointed if something comes up. ;n; I will try my best!!! <3

Commissions opening soon.......!
General | Posted 11 years agoBecause of the very stressful, very monetarily heavy life changes that are ahead of me, I have found myself in dire need for some extra money.
I won't bore you with the details, but I am hard at work finishing commissions I owe so that I can take new ones.
It will probably be a week or two but start saving your pennies and watch for commission opening journal if you are interested <3
I'm probably going to do commissions of only one specific type; probably digital character illustrations. So if you want to save and budget accordingly, it'll be happening soon!! These illustrations are $120-$180 depending on character complexity. I really can't guess when they will be open.... Like I said I still have 3 others to finish so it is going to be at least a week or so. Or who knows maybe I can just get that much stuff done this weekend, that would be preferable.

My boyfriend and I are trying very hard to buy a house. However, we're just in need of some extra money to save towards the dream. The faster we can save the money we need, the faster we can find our new home ;n; It really sucks because.... We've been keeping an eye on houses that come on the market, and the way it is out here right now, houses can go under contract within ONE HOUR of being listed. I'm not kidding, that's just how the market is out here right now. People are buying up houses as quick as people put them up for sale, and it's extremely hard to get a house. Most of all, it's stressful because our lease is up in only a few months, and we absolutely HAVE to be out of our current house by then. x_x So, not being able to jump on those houses now is really hurting us.... Especially when we find one that's just absolutely perfect, and then... Next day it's completely gone. ;n; So this week I've been like hrm, hmmmm...commissions yes/no..... And I decided, what's it going to hurt, to try to get a little extra money.... even if I don't get that many... Every little bit helps. ;___; So please, if you can, help the cause of art improvement and getting our dream house!!! <3

OKAY WELL update on stuff, I am working through my last few commissions and I REALLY want to open up commissions in February--that is my plan at least. I'll probably take just a couple at a time and then when those are finished take more ^^

So, where do you guys hang out/roleplay these days? I used to hang out on Furcadia a lot... but stopped, and now I run a Mac and haven't been able to install it... So where do you guys conglomerate these days? :3
I'm also down for real-life hangouts. I love to join up in groups and have coffee and sketch and do whatever ^^ I'm not huge on the one-on-one hangouts, I like hanging out in groups better.... I'm shy ^^;

So, I decided I really want some practice with anthros. But I just don't feel like drawing my characters. SO...... here is a chance to get some free art from me!
This art could be anything from a sketch to a full colored work. This is a freebie so I get to decide how much time I spend on it.
Post your character and someone else's character, and if I find them interesting I will draw them!
I may be doing more than one. This is for personal practice and is not a commission. I do not owe you anything if I don't draw your character. It may be done right away, or it may take awhile. Depends on when I get the time to do this.

- Characters MUST be anthropomorphic characters, of any animal. Do not post a feral character and say "make it anthro".
- Please try to post SFW images. If it is NSFW, that is fine, please just make note that it's NSFW ^^ (I really do look at this stuff at work so please please please make sure to alert me that it's NSFW!!!!)
