Update + Gallery Purge
General | Posted 5 months agoIt's common knowledge to some of you now, but this has always been an alias of mine.
tigersammich has always been more of my "main" account in the sense that it's the name most people know me by.
Recently I've been trying to compartmentalize less, and been wanting to return to drawing kink, so in an effort to reach towards that goal I'm going to be merging the two accounts; sort of.
Most of my art will be posted either on the sammich account or on my Bluesky (18+ only)
This account will be reserved for content that I don't want to shove in my irl friend's faces because I feel like it's too niche or graphic.
I also have a Discord (18+ only) server as well, where -everything- I draw will get posted eventually
ART ARCHIVE
In coming back to this account, I did a bit of cleanup on my older submissions.
If you're looking for a particular piece of art that was done before 2023, I've archived everything here

Opening 4 commission slots
General | Posted 5 years agoHey everyone!
I've been busy with a couple professional projects recently, but that workload is dying down and im going to start posting again intermittently. I've got a backlog of FAPP content to post so expect to start seeing that some this evening
I'm also opening up for a handful of commissions to be completed early next week. I haven't gotten around to updating my prices on this account just yet though, so if you're interested I'll be using the old prices from my more "normal" account for the time being: https://twitter.com/sammichart/stat.....620827137?s=19
Remaining slots: 0
PM me if you're interested and I'll update this journal once all the slots are filled.
Commission slots are full for the time being, but I'll most likely be opening up general commissions in the coming weeks (I'll upload a submission announcing it so you don't have to watch your journals)

More Content Coming Soon
General | Posted 6 years agoSorry about the delay in content, i'll be back to posting regularly later this week. Been traveling the past couple weeks and working my day job more in the time leading up to it. I was hoping to be able to get a little more done around this, but now i'm back and back to my regular work schedule so things should start being churned out more consistently
No Stream Today
General | Posted 7 years agoI'm working on some private commissions that I committed to having done today, so I won't be able to stream again until Monday. Sorry everyone!
Alternate Account
General | Posted 7 years agoFor anyone that's interested, I have a more tame account (still NSFW, just not as transformation heavy) over here: https://twitter.com/sammichart I've done a few commissions over there in the past few months just get back in practice, and to test new equipment.
It's an alias that most of my IRL friends know me as. I've tried to keep these identities fairly separate in the past, but I'm getting less and less concerned about it recently. However, in the interest of not subjecting my friends to some of the heavily kink focused TF stuff I draw, I'm still going to keep posting things separately.
If you don't use twitter, or aren't interested in following a seperate account, I'm still going to be posting all non-commissioned content from that account over here as well, but not vice-versa.

Back
General | Posted 7 years agoSo, I feel like a long winded apology is warranted in this situation, but I'm really not sure there's all that much I can say
The only thing I can really do is apologize to everyone who paid me in good faith to finish goods for them that I never delivered on. I was under a lot of stress with the new job that I picked up 2 years ago, and the combined workload I had in front of me between that and finishing my backlog of commissions was daunting, and honestly I choked. I couldn't afford to give back what was given to me, but I also didn't have the time to finish the projects. It's a shitty excuse that artists give all the time when they bite off more than they can chew, and I hate to be among the ones who have used it, but it's all I can really say. I should have let people know what was going on. I should have communicated more, but the fact is that I didn't, and I regret that.
Let me be clear, I don't think what I did was okay, and I'm not asking for forgiveness. All I want to do right now is make it right.
If you or anyone you know paid me for art and never received it, please reach out to me and I guarantee it will be done within the next 2 weeks.
I've lost most of my records since I was last doing art, so I'm not sure who I still owe what. I've finished the comic that I started and I'll be uploading it here in the next day or two, along with some of the stuff I uploaded to FurryNetwork before I left, since after 2 years it's clear that the platform isn't what I was hoping it would be.
Also, while I'm open to taking commissions again (assuming people are still willing to trust me) my first priority is getting people what I already owe them

Working on Commissions Again
General | Posted 9 years agoThank you all so much for your patience. I think I'm comfortably into the rhythm of my new job, and I've started working my way through the remaining commissions. Work will be slow, but I'm finally making progress again. I should start posting things again by the end of the week.
Another Apology
General | Posted 9 years agoThose of you following my FN will know this already, but I wanted to let everyone over here know that I'm no longer taking commissions. I've been getting slower and slower at completing art, and honestly I'm getting a little burnt out on it. I've taken a new job, and for now, adjusting to it is taking most of my time and energy. I'm sure I'll have recovered enough to resume working on art within another week or two, but for now it's a bit much.
I do have every intention of completing the commissions I already have. HOWEVER, it could take a number of months to get them out, even ones that were requested a few months ago. Because of this, I'm offering refunds for anyone that wants to cancel theirs (with the exception of the comic, which is going to be my first priority after I catch up on the Patreon bonuses). If you want one, just shoot me a note and I'll have it to you within a week or two.
I'm also not quitting art all together. I do plan on uploading pieces that I actually personally want to do, albeit at a slower rate.

General | Posted 9 years agoI'm going to keep making announcements regarding my Patreon over here as well, since I know a number of you haven't followed me over to FN
I'm going to be announcing the winners of the monthly raffle on Tuesday, but first I have to say to whoever's making all the dummy accounts to follow me: You're a dick.
I'm an independent artist trying to support myself with this and barely making it every month. The few who donate to my Patreon know they're not getting a whole lot for their monthly contribution, but It's a massive help to me. I wouldn't be able to do this without their support.
But every month since I announced that I'll be raffling off free art, I've been getting spammed with anywhere between 5 and 20 obviously fake accounts pledging exactly $5. And of course, when it comes to charge them, they ALL get declined. So thanks. You're exploiting a system meant to help people make a living creating art and attempting to steal rewards from people who are actually going out of their way to support them. This is why I need to wait until the 5th of each month, so I can weed out whoever's trying to abuse the system.
Additionally, to those I still owe Patreon art to, it's coming within the next 2 weeks here. I've got a large block of free or "won" art coming up in my queue that I'm going to start on this week. After that, I should be better about getting the rewards out around the middle of each month. Thanks again for your patience.

15% Off Commissions, Patreon Raffle Winners, and More!
General | Posted 9 years agoFirst things first! For the foreseeable future, any commissions made through Furrynetwork will be discounted by 15%
I know a number of you were opposed to me moving over to FN, and as much as I'd hate to give you something to gloat about, I haven't gotten any new commissions since I made that announcement. Since this is my primary source of income, I decided to hopefully incentivize a few of you to check out my new home. If you don't want to make an account over there for whatever reason, I'm still taking commissions on here as well, only at the standard price.
Secondly, onto the Patreon raffle for last month and the previous month. As I posted in another journal, the winner of the raffle from April was a non-fur. Well, they finally got back to me after a week and decided they didn't want the free art. So, two weeks ago, I re-rolled the winner and sent them a note as well. I haven't gotten a response from them either, but with the site being down and people being locked out, I wanted to give them a reasonable amount of time to get back to me. I can tell their account is now in use again, but with no response still, I'm going to go ahead and re-roll it a second time. If they do manage to get back to me in the future, I'll work out some compensation for them.
On Sunday, I'm going to roll to give away two pieces of art, one for my Patreon subscribers from April, and one for the ones from May
Finally, there's the matter of the YCH comic from April. Things have been difficult for the past month, but I'm finally making headway into it. I've got the entire thing sketched and the first two pages completed. I'll be posting them on Sunday, and hopefully a few more pages will follow shortly after.

Leaving FA, Moving to FurryNetwork
General | Posted 9 years agoFirst, the important stuff:
If anyone's glanced at my shouts within the past 3 days, they might have noticed that, between the outages and being locked out, I've been completely unable to access my account for almost 5 days now. I was only able to finally get get logged in, not thanks to the support staff, but because the hacker himself uploaded a master list of every user on the site's username and email address. Because of this, my personal disagreements with the way the site is run, and [what I fell are] the superior layouts of the sites mentioned above, I've decided it's finally time to pack up and move on. Hopefully I'll see most of you over there in time. If not, thank you so much for the support you've shown me throughout the years <3
Currently, the majority of my art from the past 2 years can be found on my FurryNetwork
https://furrynetwork.com/lugus
This is the site I'm going to be updating regularly from now on
In addition, I'll be trying to keep my Weasyl and Inkbunny updated as well, but it's going to take me a bit longer to get all my current stuff on there. They're fairly void at the moment, but keep an eye on them
Weasyl: https://www.weasyl.com/~lugus
Inkbunny: https://inkbunny.net/Lugus
I will continue to check in on my Furaffinity every few days, and I'll still be responding to notes and comments, but I'll no longer be posting any new artwork here

Art Giveaway Winner
General | Posted 9 years agoI've randomly selected a winner from my patrons this month and sent them a message on Patreon! However, it would seem that they do game reviews under the same name as their Patreon account, which implies that they may not want their name to be associated with furry art (or, at least my type of art, lol). Because of that, I'm not going to mention their name until I either get an alias or permission from them.
Patreon Art Giveaway (And Updates)
General | Posted 9 years agoI want to put in some details about the art giveaway I mentioned on Patreon at one point. I know that some people have had trouble with Patreon and raffles in the past, so I'm going to keep most of the information about it over here.
I'm going to make the drawing for April's winner tomorrow. For this month, everyone has an equal chance of winning the prize; a full colored, 2 character piece. You'll receive this sometime next month after I've made a little more headway on my queue. However, starting next month, every $5 will count as one "ticket". If there's enough interest in the idea, I'll eventually add on more drawings and prizes, but for now we're just going to see how things go.
I also wanted to apologize yet again. The past couple months have been sort of stressful for me, so I haven't been keeping up with communication very well, and my stream of art has sort of stemmed a bit. I'm behind on my timetable for the comic and a couple other projects, but rest assured I haven't forgotten about them or anyone else's commissions. It's tough, but I'm powering through it. Just hang in there for me~

An apology (Regarding the monthly comic)
General | Posted 9 years agoI get a lot of people asking me why I don't do comics. Looking through my gallery from a few years ago, you'd see that I used to do them. The main issue was that, for whatever reason, they seemed to take a disproportionately long amount of time. It seems like I can draw 3 regular images in about half the time that it would take me to draw a single comic page. Realistically, it's probably the fact that I have to spend so much more time worrying about consistency between frames, which shouldn't be too hard, but is definitely an area in which I need more practice.
Whatever the actual reason is, and despite the fact that it's only 8 pages and not colored, I've spent more time this month working on the comic than I have actual commissions. Because of this, I've decided that I'm no longer going to be doing the monthly comics[/color]. For those of you that've been keeping up with me, I know it's been a lot of back and forth between the choose your own adventure series and this. I've just been trying to figure out what would work best alongside regular commissions.
I'm still going to finish and post the comic from February, however. I'm hoping to have it done today or tomorrow, but I'm going to start posting it tomorrow regardless. As for the comic for March, I'm still going to do it, but I'm not going to tie myself to a schedule for it. It'll be posted gradually over the next month or so. I know this goes against what I said on my Patreon, so if you're a patron of mine and unhappy with this, note me privately and I'll give you a refund for this month (I''ll be posting a similar note over there as well).
Speaking of my Patreon, I'm still going to leave it up, but it won't be tied to any sort of monthly project, although I'm considering doing raffles instead. I know that artists have issues with doing raffles through Patreon in the past, but I think I'm willing to risk it. I'll post another journal this weekend letting you guys know my decision on that front.
Finally, I'm thinking that I might actually start up another choose your own adventure series, but again, not tie it to any schedule or payment thing (It would probably just be a post or two per week as a warmup). It'll be a lot more free form though, and while i'll still use polls to gauge interest levels on the choices, it'll leave me free to guide things easier and have more fun with it. For those of you familiar with MS Paint Adventures, I'm thinking I might do a format similar to some of the earlier comics.
I'm sorry again for my lack of consistency in all of this.

Back in Action!
General | Posted 9 years agoAlright, all my business is taken care of, I'm back in town, refreshed, and ready to get back on this horse! Things will be a little slow for me today and tomorrow, but after that, I'll be kicking things into high gear to knock out this mountain of a queue that you guys have given me.
Thank all of you who took advantage of my recent deal. I'd be up a pretty serious creek right now if it weren't for all of you. It means so much to me that so many of you were willing to step up and help me out when I needed it. Seriously, you guys are the best.
Right now, my priorities are as follows:
-Respond to the backlog of notes I've gotten over the past week
-Complete rough, mock-up sketches for everyone in line that's already paid
-Finish last month's comic
-Finish all remaining commissions

20% Off Commissions!
General | Posted 10 years agoThere's been a lot going on in my personal life these past couple weeks. I'm sure if you've been keeping up with me, you'll have noticed a slight decline in the amount of work I've been putting out and how often i've been communicating with people. On top of that, I'm going to be out of state all of next week visiting family. As such, things are pretty tight for me financially this month. However, after I get back on the 15th, everything should have settled down, and I'll have plenty of time to work both on the Patreon comics and catch up on my commission queue. Until then, though, i'm offering a special on commissions!
These commissions most likely won't be completed until around the end of the month, which is considerably slower than my usual turnaround time. However, every order placed during this time will help me out immensely~

I'm back! / CYOA 2-18 Poll is up
General | Posted 10 years agoI'm back from FC! Had a pretty great time; I definitely needed the rest. I got to meet two of you guys there for the first time, and I'm really glad it could work out!
I took the day to mostly relax and recoup. I'm still sort of winding down and from everything, and because of that, I'm going to save the big pile of notes and comments to read until tomorrow morning so I can read over them and give them all the attention you deserve. I've also got most of the details for the project that's going to replace the CYOA, so hopefully I'll have those up tomorrow as well.
On that note, I've posted the CYOA poll on my patreon, so if you're signed up for that, don't forget to vote before noon PST tomorrow. The next submission should be up sometime within a few hours after that.

CYOA Update
General | Posted 10 years agoSo, when the theme was decided a few weeks ago, I immediately began coming up with a story to go around it. I've worked hard to try to keep it relevant, attempting to adapt parts of it to fit the actions you guys have been deciding, but it's been a bit of a hassle. I had an idea for a story that would probably span a couple months, and would end up just as kinky as the previous one, but with a larger scope, more characters, etc. However, at this point, it's obvious that my goals for this aren't exactly the same as what you guys want from it. So, with that in mind, I'm still going to keep it going, but I'm going to stop trying to keep it on track. From here on out, I won't be limiting anything or excluding options from the polls.
I'll most likely be ending this one at the end of the month, though. It's not exactly been the project I thought it would be. Don't worry too much, because I'm going to be doing a similar project, but one that will allow me to actually tell a story, and hopefully still satisfy all of your tastes and include all the weirdness that you guys have come to expect from me.
More details on that within the next week or two~

More details on that within the next week or two~

No CYOA today
General | Posted 10 years agoI'm going to make a push today to clear out my commission queue. Because of this, I'm not going to have time to work on the Choose Your Own Adventure series. Rest assured, however, that I'm still standing by my 10-20 pages per month policy. This month is going to be closer to the low end of that estimate, though, thanks to me being out of commission for almost 2 weeks, thanks to MFF and the holidays.
