One of the better news articles about furries I've seen
Posted 11 years agoUpworthy is a popular online news outlet that has over 6.6 million likes on Facebook alone (where I found this article). Many news outlets will talk about furries, either positively or negatively, and most of the ones who try to spin it positively will strongly emphasize that "it's not just about the sex." This article/comic puts a bit of a different twist on it, one I can fully get behind. Check out the link in my Awesome Thingy.
HE SAID YES!
Posted 11 years agoSo this weekend was pretty miserable (to put it lightly). This FAU was easily the worst con I've ever been to. Until a few hours ago when I proposed to
and he said yes! It was done using Cards Against Humanity, which isn't exactly the most romantic, but it was still pretty awesome and unexpected.
Huge thanks to

You have to watch this
Posted 11 years agoI posted this last year, and I'll post it every year I'm on this site. This is the best speech ever and something everyone should watch. The first 3 minutes and from 7 minutes on are the most important if you must skip the middle. Jimmy V gave this inspirational piece just 2 months before he passed away. Don't give up. Don't ever give up.
And even though that was definitely the best speech ever, Stuart Scott did his best to try to outdo him. Stu is one of ESPN's best anchors ever, and he's been battling cancer for 7 years and deserved the Jummy V Award he received tonight. You really should take the time to watch this. It's probably more important than what you're doing right now. The speech starts around 6:30, but the intro is well worth watching too.

5 year anniversary on FA
Posted 11 years ago29,000 pageviews, almost 700 watchers, over 200 submissions later, and it's been 5 years. Only 10-12 more years at this pace, and I'll be at 100k pageviews >.>My production has really slowed down the past year or so with how life's been. Hopefully I'll be able to ramp up the production after I've moved out, passed my licensing exam, and started working. Though my production levels kinda have nowhere to go but up since it's been a couple months since I've put anything out (on my own page anyway).
Anyway, thanks to everyone who's watched me during the past 5 years, and yada yada all that nonsense.

Tony the motherfucking Tiger
Posted 11 years agoWhy am I seeing Tony the Tiger porn EVERYWHERE lately? No that I mind... It's just that it seems every day I'm seeing 2 or 3 new tony pics. Did I miss something?
Some crazy shit
Posted 11 years agoSo I had a random thought yesterday about how long Roop and I have been dating in relation to how long we've known each other. We met in September 2009, so about 58 months ago. As of this Tuesday, we'll have been dating for 29 months. So we've been dating for pretty much half the time that we've known each other.
Time needs to stop going so fast...
Seriously, time. Cool your shit.

Chunky or smooth? (Poll)
Posted 11 years agoWhen it comes to vore, and especially vore art, the icing on the cake is always the bulge that's formed afterwards, and every artist has their own style for how to draw them. Some go big, some go small. Some draw them perfectly round and smooth, some draw them so deformed that you can even make out fingers and eye sockets. It's sort of like that classic peanut butter argument: chunky or smooth? Where on that spectrum do you usually prefer?
You can probably tell by my art what I go for. I usually tend to go towrds 90% smooth, with a bump or two being in there. I don't mind a bit of a lumpy bulge, but when it gets to the point that you can depict eye sockets and fingers, or there are such big bumps that they almost come out like spikes jutting out from the abdomen... you lost me.
But regardless of what I think, I wanna know what you think. I'll hopefully get back into drawing soon now that I've graduated, job interviews are winding down, and I'll hoooopefully have my apartment lined up soon.

Y'all motherfuckers needta move.
Posted 11 years agoSo it's fitting that my first act as a DPT will be to tell you guys that you don't move enough. You probably already knew this, but maybe this article will help inspire you to move around a little more. The article is really good except for the part where they say to sit at 135 degrees... while that may be better for your back, it's turrible for your neck. Just sit at 90 degrees (which is much better for your neck) and use a towel roll or something similar for your back. Other than that, the article is good. It's my Awesome Thingy.
I'M A DOCTOR NOW, BITCHES!
Posted 11 years agoFuuuuuckin finally! After 6 years of school, I finally earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy and am now officially Dr. Bill Delfing, SPT. You may also refer to me as Dr. Cario or Dr. Doggy D.
Don't actually call me the second one >.>
I remember years ago when I looked forward to one day making this journal, and there were times when it seemed like it would never come (either due to not finishing school, or not staying in the furry fandom that long). I'm not gunna turn this into an acceptance speech, but I do wanna thank a few people who I really wouldn't be here without:
- Lux, you were there back when I really needed it most. You singlehandedly dragged me into the furry fandom much farther than I intended on going, and you've changed my life in more ways that you know. You are still, and always will be my first mate =3
and
- Ziggy and Ari... Yue and Teiya... or whatever you two wanna go by, you guys are freakin weirdos, and that's probably a big reason why we've become such good friends these past few years, and why you're pretty much the only people I've stayed in touch with from high school. It's good actually having people I can be weird around back home. Sciencetific Patriotic Flashing Testicles!
- You are a fuck. And I fuckin love you... for whatever stupid reason. I can't believe we're actually going to be moving in together in a few months. Thank you for always being there and for being such a big, floofy lovable wolf <3
And of course all my other friends who have been with me for the better part of these past few years, and even you random people who watch me, fave my shitty art, and comment on my shit. You guys have all been essential for keeping me afloat in the fandom and keeping me sane (or relatively sane) through college and grad school. You guys kick ass.
Most of you anyway >.>
So now I get to study for 2 months straight until my eyes pop out to prepare for my Boards Exam so I can get my license and start practicing. But either way, I'M STILL A FUCKIN DOCTOR, BITCHES!

A firsthand case of Obamacare working.
Posted 11 years agoI've been interning at a hospital for the past 11+ weeks. One of the patients I've been working with is a middle-aged woman who had a random onset of a condition that makes her body continuously writhe in uncontrollable movements. She's been in the hospital since July, i repeat, JULY since she is unable to walk on her own let alone cook food, work, etc..., she doesn't have enough family support to be able to take care of her, and she didn't have insurance to get her into a rehab facility so she can get the therapy she really needs.
Thanks to Obamacare, she was able to get insurance, despite the fact that she had this condition that any insurance company would have been able to deny her for. Now she left the hospital after months and months of being stuck there. She'll eventually be able to go home. And on top of the immense good it does her, it also costs a hospital over $1000 per day to keep a patient. Her care was given completely charitably, and now the charity money can be used for more patients who won't need to be in the hospital for a year.
So all you ignorant people who wanna talk shit about Obamacare... STUFF IT.

The 1 sports thing you should pay attention to
Posted 11 years agoI know that about 2% of furries have any interest in sports at all, but there's 1 thing going on that you really should at least be monitoring. Before their season started, the Portland Trail Blazers became the first NBA (basketball) team, and the first team in any of the 4 major American sports (baseball, football, basketball, hockey) to officially declare that the organization is in support of gay marriage. Seems pretty appropriate for the "Trail Blazers" >.> They have been a pretty bad team for the past decade or so, but this year they're doing really well (coincidence?), and they made it to their Conference Semifinals. So I know very few of you really care about sports, but this is a pretty cool thing just to monitor and a good team to root for.
Gunna be slow with art for the next few months
Posted 11 years agoSo yeah... I'm copying Roop and making this journal just to let you guys know that I'm not gunna be able to do a whole lotta art in the next 3 months or so. I've been wanting to make this journal for a while, but I've been holding out hope that more time would free up for me to get stuff done. It seems like that's not the case though.
In the next few months I need to:
- Graduate from school FOREVER
- Fill out all the paperwork to apply for my license and to take the national Boards exam
- Study my dick off and eventually take the Boards in late July
- Find a job...
- Find an apartment near where my eventual job is
- Move Roop down here from New York and get myself moved in
- Get our new apartment ready to house a bunch of idiots... I mean friends... for FAU.
So yeah... gunna be busy as dicks till late July/early August. I'll keep working on things here and there, but about half my time for art lately has been going towards helping Roop with Betraying Team Rocket, and that's probably how it's gunna continue to be since he's busy as dicks too. We'll see what happens. Once all this is done and over with, I should be able to get back into a more regular art flow. It's ironic that once I'm actually working full time I'll be the least busy than I have been in the past 5 or 6 years >.>

FUCKIN MARIO PARTY
Posted 11 years agoFuck that shit. The whole game was decided on luck. Upon visiting the shops, Jet was given the opportunity for 3 Boo Crystal Balls and 3 Magic Lamps. I got 1 boo ball. 14 of my 50 rolls were me landing on mushroom spaces. Whenever we got 2 vs 2 mini games, I got the shitty computer. (FUCK LUIGI). In the end, Jet took 14 shots and I took 21. They were mostly half-shots (like 2/3 of em) since they were mixed with juice, but still. So much bull. I'magunna win next time.

Mario Party Drinking Game
Posted 11 years ago
and I are gunna be playing a 50-turn game of Mario Party, and we're turning into a drinking game. The rules
- If you get a star, everyone else takes a drink.
- If you get 2 stars in 1 turn, everyone else takes an extra drink in additional to the 2 drinks they already would take.
- If you get a star stolen from you, you take a drink for every star that was stolen.
- If you lose a Bowser mini-game, you take a drink.
- If you don't get any coins from a Battle mini-game, you drink. Yes, getting that 1 pity coin saves you from drinking.
- If you find a Hidden Block with coins, everyone takes a drink. If you find a Hidden Block with a star, everyone takes 2 drinks.
Mario Party 4. 50 turns. Chocolate Sundae Malibu, Double-strength Amaretto, Double-strength Banana Liqueur, Orange Vodka, Apple Juice, Strawberry-Banana V8, a 1lb Gummy Bunny. 2 shot glasses. We're gunna have fun with this thing.
And we need to do this again when we have 4 people >.>

Posted 11 years agoThe Story of Buisus
I like to tell this story every year, as everyone should receive it's good Word.
From the Gospel according to Luke:
One fateful Friday, the evil Pontius Piloswine and his followers grew jealous of the popularity and awesomeness of the great Buisus, the King of Mews. As a result, they had him tied to a Heracross until he fainted and was unable to battle. All of Buisus’s disciples were very sad, especially his rumored mate, Mareep Magdalene. Because they knew not even a Master Ball could hold him, they Seeled Buisus away in the Unknown Dungeon.
Little did those who entombed Buisus know that he had been holding a Lum Berry, allowing him to recover from any status conditions. After recovering from fainting, within the cave, he met a frisky Lopunny, and the two proceeded to bear many eggs. After 3 days, Buisus learned Strength, permitting him to move large boulders and allowing him to escape from the cave. He approached Mareep Magdanlene, but she did not recognize him because he had been transformed - he had evolved into a Floatzel, a suitable form for when he must float up to the heavens to be with his father, Arceus.
But, before he did that, he had one more task to complete. He instructed the Lopunny to distribute some of her eggs to the children of the area, Buisus took the rest and, using Surf so he could walk on water, he brought the eggs to children around the world. From then on, the children of Buisus and the fortuitous Lopunny bring eggs to children every year on the same day to celebrate this wondrous occasion. This is why we celebrate Buister. Bui is Risen. Bui shall cum again.
What happened to Buisus since? Some say he learned fly and went off to be with his father, Arceus. But, some do not believe that he is the son of Arceus. Rather, they believe he is his own, unique, awesome identity. Some even dare to doubt that Buisus even existed.
Bui is Risen. Bui will cum again.

So... why was this pic so popular?
Posted 11 years agoI recently posted this pic http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13164101/ with the expectations that it would get around 200 views, which was accurate. I wasn't surprised at all that only 1 person commented since nobody ever comments on my stuff anymore. Like... not even just that only a few people comment, but I'm lucky to get 3 comments on a submission at this point. But what I was surprised about was the 27 faves, made even more "impressive" by the fact that it only has (currently) 211 views. A greater than 10:1 Views:Faves ratio is really rare with my stuff... and this thing didn't have any vore or sex or anything going on. Just a lucario standing there with a boner and a riolu backed against another canine's belly. I is confused. I actually thought I shaded it pretty horribly too >.>
Don't get me wrong... I love that it did well. I'm just curious as to why. If you were one of the people who faved it (or even if you weren't, but you still liked it), what did you like about it?
