Financial Assistance Needed
Posted 2 months agoI'm gonna be asking a huge favor here. I'm not gonna be doing a crowdfund because we'll need the funds sooner than a new GFM will pay out.
Next month, I'm gonna be accompanying my friend Mars to California to offer emotional support and any help I can manage clearing out their late father's home. They've been my caretaker this past month, and I want to be there for them in return.
To keep things relatively short and simple: they've had a nightmare of a time due to family drama, and cannot currently access estate funds they're entitled to, so they're having to rely on financial assistance while they deal with everything, getting the house cleared out and settling the estate.
Mars has a lot of food allergies so that's the biggest expense for us. It's the primary reason I've been asking for funds frequently this month, between my own medical needs and helping them offset their food stamps.
We'll need a hotel room to stop on the drive out there for one night as well.

Surgery upcoming and other updates

As most of you know, I have a very important surgery coming up. In three weeks, in fact.
If you're not in the know, in three weeks I will undergo "bottom surgery", aka gender affirming surgery. It used to be called GRS for REASSIGNMENT but I'm not "reassigning" my gender, I'm making what's between my legs match what's in my head.
With all that in mind, for the month of September I will be out of commission. I don't know how long recovery will take before I'm able to resume normal activity, and that's assuming everything goes perfectly according to plan. At minimum, I will be unable to even sit at my computer (for long periods of time) for several weeks while I heal, so I am planning accordingly and giving myself a break.
If you wish to pause your membership until I am able to resume streaming, writing, and recording, I will not hold it against you. That is your choice to make. That being said, I will be leaving my Patreon un-paused and on its normal billing cycle because I rely on Patreon for income to cover my expenses. Any assistance during this time is massively appreciated, but not required.

I've been alerted to a number of AI sex bots using Kim as well as several other vore creators' characters. This is stealing. It is theft. Kim is literally my brand. She's in my Twitch name. I portray Kim on stream. I write stories about her, and receive numerous commission requests involving her, all of which goes to paying my bills.

I'm between commissions and have some downtime while I'm sick, so this is as good a time as any to announce my decision for the logo design contest!
Y'all made this difficult. There were some really cute designs and overall, very strong contenders here. I would happily pick any one of the submissions I was given.
That being said: Congratulations to
strawbat for capturing the essence of what I was looking for! Cute, thematic, and punny!
Slight bias for the fact that I'm a huge fan of Kimchi and have made myself it several times. That's ultimately what my decision settled on in the end.

Here is a rundown of the changes I've made:
Contact Info:
+ Added my Contact Information for how to reach me with inquiries
Consent for Use
+ Copyrighted characters - I am willing to include copyrighted characters at my discretion. (Yes, I wrote a story with Wile E. Coyote, and I had fun doing it.)
Pricing:
+ Extended Rates - Extended rate will take effect for any commission exceeding 5,000 words. The first 5,000 words will be charged at the base rate of $0.025/word, then anything beyond that will be charged the extended rate of $0.04/word
+ Extended Rates - Clarification about when commissions will incur the extended rate of $0.04/word. If it's close to 5,000 words, I will generally opt to charge the base rate of $0.025.
Deposit:
+ Flat fee deposit - Flat fee is now only required for commissions where the proposed amount is $150 or greater. Any commission lower than $150 will no longer require an upfront deposit.
Writing Process:
+ Origination - Included explanation to have a budget in mind when you contact me for a commission. I need to know how much I have to work with!
+ Origination - Added right to refuse a commission if I feel the request will not be possible within the budget offered
+ Origination - Included agreement that I will not exceed the quoted price unless the commissioner agrees to modify the quote

As much as I would love to support everyone that submits an idea, I simply do not have the funds available to accomplish this, and $100 is about as much as I can swing for this at the moment.
You will be credited for the artwork in the server welcome information, but for safety precautions you WILL NOT be credited on Paypal, as I cannot risk getting suspending for being linked to naughty content.
Requirements:

Forest was my best friend. I've known him for more than a decade. A lot longer. We laughed together. We cried together.
He always accepted and supported to me.
It feels like a pillar has been knocked out of my foundation.
I'm going to miss you.

Dragoneer brought many of us together, and you can't ignore that. FurAffinity helped so many people find me. Find my work, my passion. It's been a pillar of the furry community for nearly two decades.
Streaming is essentially a side project for me. Writing has been, and likely will be my primary source of income for the discernible future, and without FA I wouldn't have that to fall back on.

Kim's Terms of Service and Commission Rates
Posted a year agoHey everyone! I updated my Terms of Service! It's only been five years since the last revision.
Anyway, the big takeaway is that I've increased my standard rates for commissions, based on what I've been earning for the PWYW commissions I've been doing. I didn't intend for this to be a test to see if my rates were right, but based on what folks are WILLING to pay for my stories, there clearly needed to be a rate change.
So! My standard commission rates are as follows:
Base rate:
Increasing from $0.015 to $0.025 (2.5c) per word for up to 10 pages
Increasing from $0.025 to $0.04 (4c) per word for anything longer than 10 pages, due to extra planning and organization required on my part to juggle a multi-scene work
Deposit:
Increasing from $25 to $50 in order for me to begin work on a commission. Remember, this is a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit, and will only be returned if I am unable to complete the commission for my own reasons (burnout, medical, etc).
Additionally, I am going to be less lenient on cancelling commissions over poor behavior. I used to provide a full refund if someone was not satisfied with my work, or if they were being problematic in some fashion. That is no longer the case. If work has started and I have to cancel your commission for bad behavior, you will not receive your deposit back. Don't be a dick to your artist, just because you didn't get exactly what you wanted. Yes, this has happened in the past, no, I am not letting it happen again.

No degrading/humiliating messages like slut, cum dumpster, etc. I want to stick with the theme of subverting expectations with cute-lewd messages only!
You're free to submit multiple ideas, just understand that I'm going to pick and choose the ones I like most if there's a lot of submissions, so that I'm not overwhelming the poor artist. You can also add little doodles, dashed lines (such as indicating a bite location), as long as they're simple and quick to draw! This includes playing "connect the spots" to make constellations/shapes, and this is the ONLY TIME I will allow it.
