FWA 2013 Therianthropy hangout / meet & greet
Posted 12 years agoHi guys, I will be hosting a panel on Therianthropy Saturday Night. I would love to also do a hangout / meet & greet on Friday and/or Saturday (before and/or after my panel obviously ). I am thinking 5pm would work. I do plan on attending the League of Legends tournament at 8pm >:), and that will probably last hours. Other than that restriction, I am open for other suggestions.
I would love to get a discussion going about people's personal experiences, and maybe get some food together. I would also LOVE to do a "mini howl" type thing later in the night. Maybe go outside and do some group howling (for any wolves that might show up) and even some group shifting for the non-howlers. Obviously shifting and howling are VERY personal experiences, so I understand if you want to shy away from doing that with a group. I am a wolf myself, with a very social "brotherhood" type nature that loves to share my experiences with like minded people.
A little bit about myself: 32yr old male wolf therian, very friendly, been in the online were/therian community since 1999, discovered my nature at 14 yrs old. I consider myself a mentor type figure, and a scholar-ish person when it comes to therianthropy, spirituality, and understanding the human behavior (psychology, sociology). In other words, I am always trying to learn as much as I can, but can be there to help people who want to learn more themselves.
I have never been to FWA, so I don't know what to tell you about where to meet up at. I can't host in my room since it's shared with 3 others. Once again, I am up for any and all suggestions.
I might add a twitter account to help with organizing this later. Will post info here once/if I do.
Looking forward to meeting others!

My D&D campaign that I am DMing so far...
Posted 15 years agoSo its been awhile since me and my friends got together for a D&D session, since JULY!! So I wrote them a nice little recap of all our adventures so far. Took me a while to say all I needed to say, then I realized how entertaining it was (at least to me) so I decided to share it. Enjoy!
Ok, so we all started out in a port town full of races including some monster races (such as goblins, orcs, gnolls, etc) called Wulfholm, aka Night Haven (refereed to by the monster races). In this town there is a magical barrier surrounding the town that prevents any violent actions towards another. However, their are loop holes such as traps and poisoning someones food, so their are armed guards who have the ability to cause violent harm to be able to enforce the law. Other wise how could so many different races including monsters live together without obliterating the town?? Also, most of the people who inhabit Wulfholm are usually outcast, individuals, fugitives, pirates and rogues. Basically people who choose their own way of life besides that of the culture/society they grew up in, those who look for the freedom to live their own lives their own way. It is rare to find a race their with good ties to the rest of their race (depending on the race of course). It is also a safe haven for even monsters (as long as they behave and be a productive citizen), thus the monster nick-name Night Haven. However, Wulfholm is far from free of racism, as often new people who seek it out learn the hard way that their own racism usually has dire consequences, despite the anti-violence aura.
Our "main character" is none other than Jazzel Blusenrok, the Metallic Minstrel, an illusionist/bard gnome who, by all standards, is a rock star and very famous. He has bewitched (you) the group of adventures to join his new treasure hunters club, where he leads them around to various locations to find certain items of lore and value.
Our first adventure lead us to what Jazzel was told was an ancient dwarven temple in the middle of a jungle (weird huh?) which actually turned out to be an abandoned Troll temple which was being inhabited by goblins and their one hobgoblin boss. Also it was discovered a heart shaped bed and leather sling with a stash of gay orc porn in the goblins living quarters. Eventually, there was a lady who encountered the group with minions who were immediately devoured by a giant slime that fell from the ceiling due to a trap that was sprung by our heroes earlier. Finally, after defeating the slime, which would clone its self numerous times, the group found the Asgardian Winged Helmet, which was the prize they were after!
The next adventure involved going deep into a swamp, where we found ghosts, undead mudmen, warped tree folk, and finally a giant mud golem boss. Once the mud golem was destroyed, a spiked metal gauntlet with a strange demonic aura was found inside his body, which when taken out made the swap's evil aura and fog start to dissipate. Before the adventures could go home, a rather large Troll appeared blocking their entrance to a iron gated door in the stump of a gigantic tree. He asked a riddle to the group, the group answered correctly, and to the Troll's amusement and disappointment, he left the group the key to the gate and left. At this point the group decided it best to leave the gate a lone and return back to wulfholm.
The next adventure started in the tavern named "The Filthy Animal", when Jazzel burst into the room and announced that he had been paid upfront a sum of gold to rescue a woman's kidnapped husband. It turned out that this woman was not married, and that the Gnoll who had "kiddnapped" her "husband" was actually his lover, whom they had a small farm house together out in the country. The gnoll's brother, who was leader of a small clan of Gnolls wanted his brother to come back and leave humans alone, and offered to pay the woman, who was psychotically in love with the human male, a chance to get him for herself (they work together on the Docs of Wulfholm). While the party was discovering this truth, they were surrounded by Gnolls and attacked!!
Half way through the battle, things were looking bad for both the heroes and the Gnolls, and even the 2 lovers. But our Dwarf interviened, convinced the Gnoll leader to let his brother be because his brother was happy here. It also turned out that the woman was going to double cross the Gnolls and get them all killed, including the lover of the human, and thus was taken away as the Gnolls new slave. After the battle ended diplomatically, the gay couple invited the adventurers in for dinner, which it was then discovered by David, that the Gnoll was forced to be a bottom in the relationship because his cock was too big for the human to take, until the human had more "practice" at least.
The next adventure involved the key to the dungeon in the swamp being stolen. There was a chase that lead through the sewer under wulfholm via an entrance in the storeroom (where Jazzel was keeping the treasure) thats attached to the wizard's tower. In the sewer the group caught up with the thieves, lead by the woman who has been following Jazzel. She made off with the key while the group was left to battle her minions and conjured spectral knights. At the end of the day, a secrete was reviled by Jazzel only to the Dwarf.
The last adventure our group encountered was a spell was put on the town to make everyone sleep, and the violence barrior was taken down while a group of orcs and goblins raided the town and set a few buildings on fire. It was discovered, once again, that lady was at the head of this, and was breaking into the capital building to steal an unknown artifact. This time though, she was being aided by a powerful Orc Shaman who was convinced to leave through diplomacy. It was also discovered she was holding him to a dept he owed her. The final boss was a very large spectral hulk.
So at this point, its obvious both Jazzel and the mysterious lady who follows him around have BOTH been busy trying to collect magical artifacts....

My new martial arts video journal
Posted 15 years agoGot inspired to try to get back into shape through practicing my martial arts.
In this video I do a mix of Tang Soo Do and Northern Style Shaolin Kung Fu.
This is the first time I have practiced any martial arts in about 5 years, so I am very rusty. I hope to use this as a journal of my progress of not only getting back into shape, but perfecting my moves by increasing power, speed, and accuracy.
Look forward to more videos of me using other styles of martial arts and weapons

Animazement Cosplay skit
Posted 16 years ago25 things your most likely didnt know about me
Posted 17 years ago1. I went to a Fundamental Southern-Baptist private school from grades 7-10. According to them, dancing is evil, teachers will get fired if they go see a movie in the theater, all music is evil unless its Christian with the exception of classical even if thats not Christian, and every Wednesday you have to wear dress clothes and attend Chapel which is where they brain wash you and tell you that your going to hell.
2. I am really into philosophy, religion, and anthropology. I know a lot about the original Bible vs the translated ones. There are many mistranslations, especially about gays. Just ask if you want to know more :D
3. I was officially in the air force as a volunteer with Civil Air Patrol when I was 11-13. We wore camouflage BDU's and hiked and camped in the woods and mountains to train for rescue missions involving downed civilian aircraft.
4. I have studied and practiced many different types of martial arts including: Tang Soo Do (Korean Karate), Shaolin King Fu, Aikido, Arnis (Filippino Knife and Stick fighting), Brazillian Jujitsu (ground fighting as seen in Ultimate Fighting), Jeet Kun Do (bruce Lee's creation), Muay Thai (Thai kick boxing), Ninjutsu, and Kendo (Japanese Sword fighting). I am jack of all trades master of none when it comes to all those styles, however, I have had formal training for all that I listed at one time or another. The ones I studied the longest were Tang Soo Do and Shaolin Kung Fu.
5. I went to school for 3D animation and I have made a few extremely short cartoons.
6. I not only believe in ghosts, but have have even seen a couple before, not to mention other strange encounters. When I was a teenager, me and my friends would go to areas supposedly haunted, or hang out in graveyards at night looking for ghost.
7. I had to beat up my Kindergarten's teacher aid out of self defense. She pushed me down and put a huge bump on the back of my head, I retaliated by grabbing her legs and pushing her into a cubboard full of pots and pans, then she pushed me into a cubboard of toys, then I finally pushed her down back over the pots and pans right before the principal, who was walking down the hall, noticed me, ran in, grabbed me, put me under his arm (he was a big strong man), and carried me back to his office. Needless to say, I wasn't in any trouble. However, that lady, Miss Grady, had so much tenure, the principal couldn't fire her. My grandmother almost went to go beat her up while my mom tried to be more diplomatic. Story goes, she had hurt children in the past, parents would go beat her up and end up in jail since no one would ever fire her. True story, just ask my mom.
8. I am part of the 501st, a star wars "bad guy" (mostly imperial) costuming group dedicated to the Make a Wish Foundation, a charity for children with terminal illnesses.
9. When I was 5 years old, I had a strange lump or tumor thing under my left or right knee (cant remember) which I was going to have to have surgery to remove. However, it mysteriously disappeared one day, and all the doctors and the surgeon were baffled.
10. My grandmother on my mom's side had the last name Tutor before she married. My mom traced back our family on that side all the way back to the original Queen Elizabeth's extended Family (she was also a Tutor).
11. When I was 8 years old or so, I broke off my 2 front teeth with from a skateboarding accident, and what you see now is lamination on the 20% of what is real teeth.
12. I am mixed with a lot of different blood from different cultures and races. On my mom's side, its English, Dutch, Scottish, and Native American(cant remember which tribe or tribes), and on my father's side its Spanish, Native Puerto Rican , Italian, and African.
13. I love going dressing up and dancing at Goth clubs and even won second place in a dance off contest.
14. I can build computers from the ground up and also do PC repair for friends and clients.
15. I portray a pirate for the North Carolina Renaissance Fair as a non-paid volunteer.
16. I was the local champ for the Blockbuster Video World Video Game Championship II (1995) with Donkey Kong Country and won 1 years worth of free game rentals (2 a month per location)
17. I have had some interesting pets during my life, though not all at once of course. A salamander, 3 dogs, 5 cats, multiple types of fish, a hedgehog, coctatiel, 2 squirrels, and a Puerto Rican named Efrain.
18. I was born in the cold mountains of West Virginia.
19. As a baby, I lived with my mom on the campus of Ole Miss University in Mississippi.
20. Speaking of which, my mom was in a hard art class, and she was doing poorly in it. One of her later projects was abstract, and she was so frustrated, she painted a canvas electric blue, and then gave me a drinking straw and some neon orange paint, and let me, as an infant, paint her painting. When I was done, she painted a few strokes here and there for good composition, and turned it in. Not only did she get an A, the professor was so impressed he made it an example to all the class saying this is exactly what he was talking about the whole time. Perhaps fine art is just baby scratch after all ;)
21. When I was 6 or 7, I found a gold nugget style ID bracelet in the parking lot of a mall, which my mom had buffed and got my last name engraved on it. Then she kept it from me, even now. When I was 9, I found an opal ring in the backyard a month or 2 after we had first moved into our new house. My mom also kept this from me :/
22. I had surgery in 2004 to remove a pilonidal cyst which is a birth defect where a cell that is supposed to grow things like hair, teeth, and even eye balls, travels down the spinal cord and ends on yout tail bone. So they had to open me up, scoop out the bad cells, and sow me back together.
23. I used to have a room that was called the ninja turtle room becauase I painted it green (well, tiel), had TMNT bed sheets, curtains, floor mat, trash can, and toy chest filled with the toys. I also had TMNT pajamas, cereal bowl, clothing, watch, and wallet.
24. I went to the Philippines in 2004 for 3 weeks, and it was awesome. I also stopped through Japan's airport coming and going.
25. One time I had a terrible car accident when one day I came around a sharp curve too fast and drove across all this dirt in the middle of the road from construction. I was driving a car that had an automatic shoulder strap and had not buckled the lap belt. I also had the window rolled all the way down. My car ended up fishtailing on the loose dirt on the paved road, I ran into a ditch where they had just installed a huge concrete pipe, my car flipped into the air and rolled over 4 times all the while I had be knocked unconscious, flew out the window, and slid, while twisting, into dirt all the while peeling off my skin in a barber stripe starting with my left cheek and ending where my right kidney was. I broke no bones, but the Dr said it was because I was unconscious and didn't tense up my body upon impact. Needless to say my car was totaled.

Me, my BF, his best friend, and his Best friends GF drove 6 hours to Washington DC to see 3 concerts, it was a blast but we got so tired after all of it. Here are the bands we saw: Children of Bodem, In Flames, Megadeth, Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, Eluvetie, TYR, Turisas, and Ensiferum. The last 4 mentioned are viking metal bands from Finland and this was this first American Tour!
Out of all the ones, Dimmu Borgir was my fav show cuz they are one of my all time fav bands....so amazing live...

I want to become familiar with the FA community's terminolog
Posted 17 years agoOk, So I see some terms used around here, and I can't remember them except for one I see often. OC. What does this mean? Also, meme, what is that mean as well?
Can you guys give me some more acronyms and their meanings, or other used terms so I can understand what people are talking about sometimes? Thanks!
