Here is kinda what’s going on...
I have been moving almost every 6 months to a year for the last 3 years. In that time I have gotten divorced, my best friend died, I lost my apartment, I moved 2 states away without access to moving trucks, lost my job, my grandmother is dying and had a kid.
During my move most of my stock got destroyed, and I have been doing everything I can to replace that stock and spending every spare cent I had into it. Then I got pregnant and now have almost 10k in debt and honestly I am struggling.
The thought of making suits at this point is stressful and all, I want to do is just pay everyone off, but it’s difficult.
I’ve opened for drawing commissions just to keep myself and my baby alive while I put away what I can to try and make good on these commissions.
This new identity is to motivate myself to keep going and overcome this hell of the last 3 years.

I just graduated on the 23rd of March and have most of my stuff moved to Wichita, KS. I should be starting back on commissions over the next week after getting a few things set up. I apologize for being so hard to reach. Things are finally calming down and getting back into a pattern where I can work.

I would like to offer an explanation on why I have been gone. Recently I have been overworked through school with 21 credit hours for a single quarter plus practicum requirements (I get no choice in this, it is how the school is structured). I was really hoping that I would be available to work during the 2-3 hours of free time I had available. However, life has decided to not be kind to me.

I had a stalker that was harassing me for months where I was having trouble leaving my house for any reason. After that calmed down, I got involved with a divorce with my ex-husband leaving me to live out of a suitcase for about a month. I am still working on moving supplies from his apartment to my new area of living almost an hour away. In the middle of dealing with that, my best friend of 22 years died of cancer after no one notified me that his cancer was back. Then after that, I had a state issued court order to fly to Pennsylvania on my birthday to verify some emails on a case (which means after all this I couldn't even enjoy my birthday...)

Right now I am working through the last quarter of classes, I am moving back up to Wichita, KS to start my apprenticeship, and have not only my finals to take to graduate but also comprehensive exams, a national board exam, and a Kansas state board exam.

I am still really struggling financially and mentally to stay afloat right now on top of trying to figure out how to pack up everything and be in my new house on March 30th.

I don't deserve to request patience because I know that my progress in commissions has been non-existent.

This is a message saying that I am done with commissions. If you are on my list, it will be complete because once I am done with school I will have hours to start working again (a lot of my job will be on call).

I really do apologize for all the inconveniences this has been causing. Right now I am trying to take it one step at a time because I am really struggling.

Hello everyone!
I am making a journal because I am uncomfortable with the other journal being the first journal you see on my profile, but i do not wish to delete it.

Honestly I want to push it behind me at this point.
In other news I love you guys and hope your are having a wonderful start to the New year.

I have been working hard to getting my studio back together, and changing work schedules to get more time in the day to work.

I will no longer be taking commissions for the foreable future. I am really sorry. Between school and a new job because I couldn't keep myself afloat on commissions, I have realized this is not the career I want to have permanently. The stress from being alone for days at a time has caused some major mental damage that really took hold of me over the summer. I still really don't want to talk about what happened, but I will say I have been getting great help and support to get better.

I am still working on commissions in my queue. After my queue though, I am aiming to get an internship in the field I have wanted to work in for a long time so I will no longer have time for commissions.

Thank you to everyone who has commissioned me in the present and past. I love all of you guys more than you know. I still have a lot of love with making costumes, suits, and plushies. However, I really look forward to it becoming a hobby again over a business.
I am also so sorry for an inconviences or delays this has caused.

It might still be awhile before I decide I open for commissions again. Right now with going back to school it is stealing a lot of my concentration. I might also have the opportunity to start a job in my field starting in May, so I don't know how to schedule my commission around that time just yet.

I have been playing for about a year and looking for some pen pals in other areas (thought it could be fun!)

Hey guys. I just wanted to post a very personal update to kinda let people know where I am at.

This past month for me has been almost overwhelming. I can't really beat around the bush anymore with vague updates so this journal is going to have a lot of raw personal information. I feel like it is for the best I come out publicly with everything that is going on.

NOTE: I DO NOT WANT TO TALK ABOUT THIS. This journal is for an update on why commissions have been on a halt for a bit. Please do not send me personal notes asking about specific details because I am not really ready to talk to people about it.

Over the past month I have had two friends commit suicide (one on the 11th, the other on the 16th). As someone with depression, this is affecting me very hard. Both were amazing people with lovingly family and kids. It has been a shock on both occasions. It has also left me in a very unstable mood for a decent period of time due to grieving. I have never dealt with a suicide before, and dealing with two in a short amount of time has been really rough on me.

I just want to say that if you feel depressed, or have thoughts of suicide, please talk to someone. I can guarantee there will be someone who misses you when you are gone. Things may seem hopeless, I personally know how much it hurts, but please trust in a loved one, or even a hotline if you really think that it is your time.

This is much more minor, but another thing that has affected my work is I am desperately trying to go back to school. Unfortunately there is only one school in the entire DFW area that has the certifications I need for my desired job field. To get into the program I need to have one more basic course under my belt which is going to be about $550 if I take it online. Financial aid will not cover me because I will not be a full time student until April (assuming I can get this class taken this fall.)

I do not like gofundme's because I am kinda a proud person and don't like asking for money. However, I am still taking drawing commissions to try and help cover costs for not only the fees for applications, transcripts transfers, and fees but also the $550 so I can take this class I need to get into my program. Suit making is barely enough to cover my monthly bills with a little left over for food and small amount for savings which is drained after my small hiatus to get situated into my new place and paying for deposits, fees, and other etcs.  foxderps is the account for my drawings if you are interested.

As far as when I am opening up again, right now I am almost on a semi-permanent closure. I will probably be looking into a September opening for a completion next year, but from here on out, my commission slots will be extremely limited. I plan to continue working with suits while I am going to school in April, but there will be no deadline guarantees. I will always be open for quotes just in case, but it might take me a little bit to respond.
