Lupine I kind of chose on a whim. American bobtails are such cool cats. They're domestic, but they look kind of wild, and when I looked them up later, it turned out to be a good fit. They're mellow and like to eat more than they need.
Beatrice I put a little more thought into. I was feeling kind of unsure and unhappy, and just angry at shit, and I thought a rabbit might be a good fit for that. I figure they don't really have time for trivial things the way a cat would. She's a "darker" sort of character, since to my knowledge, rabbit fights tend to be more vicious than cat fights. Most of the rabbits in my life have been brown, but Lupine is brown, and I wanted a new color. So she's a blue-point, probably mixed-breed. I was hesitant about her red eyes, but now I like the way they stand out.
Does your fursona have the same personality you have?
More or less. Lupine seems to embody my more chill, easily-amused flower child side, while Beatrice is the unhappier, unsatisfied, more confrontational side.
Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
They do. Except for Lupine's lack of a sweet tooth, she focuses more on the likes, while Bea focuses on the dislikes.
Does your fursona look like you at all?
Lupine does, aside for her coloring. We have pretty much the same build and eye color. Beatrice doesn't look like me much at all.

My ex wasn't a furry, but he was associated with mountain cur dogs. I sort of imagined one for him, so I suppose Lupine was mated to that. But we're not together anymore, and this imaginary dog character never got drawn, so long story short, no.
If not are they looking for a mate, or are they a swinger so to speak?
No and no.
Is there something special about your fursona that you think sets them apart from others?

I hate my boyfriend's dumb gross friends (mentions of rape)
Posted 12 years agoPlaying DnD with my boyfriend and his friends. I was the only woman there and these dudes tend towards "edgy" humor. One decides to have his character come on to some random NPC woman. She maces him and he decides to have his charcter rip her clothes off and rape her. It ends up in a full on DnD battle with fight music and everything. Two of our party members versus this woman. I'm uncomfortable as fuck, but my boyfriend and I have argued in the past because he felt I didn't respect his friends, so I stay quiet.
I thought that was as bad as it would get, but as he describes how he's going to rip her clothes off, this friend asks what kind of shirt she's wearing: "Is it a higher neckline or low-cut like [mine]?" and my boyfriendrolls to see. I felt so fucking betrayed I had no idea what to say or how to articulate what I was feeling so without ruining the session so I still stayed quiet.
In the end he doesn't actually rape her because when his character declares to the woman that he is going to have sex with her, he rolled a natural 20, so she consented, and because it was a twenty, she was in to all the shit he said he would do to her. He managed to forget about this later in the session and referred to it as rape. I tried to forget about it too.
Later that night my boyfriend messages me to tell me what an awesome session that was. I reply that I would have enjoyed it more if his buddy hadn't compared the woman his character was going to rape to me, and he hadn't even realized it because it was only my shirt. Then he manages to make the whole fucking thing about him by texting me how upset it made him (I'm not sure what upset him exactly.). I text back the next day to make sure he's okay and he says he's fine and I should "try to be more rational"
"try to not be uncomfortable that my friend mentioned you, my girlfriend, while acting out a rape fantasy and that I did absolutely shit about it"
And I feel terrible because these friends have had their characters do worse things in previous DnD sessions that also made me uncomfortable and I never mentioned those and have probably blocked most of them out of my mind. Posted 13 years agoWhen I was little, I had these cat characters okay? Kept them in my head, and they were cats. They also lived in the Dragonball Z universe, but that's not important. When I was twelve I moved them into their own universe which was basically a Warriors ripoff. They stayed there for years and I started writing their story, but after two years, I looked back and realized it was kind of terrible and a Warriors ripoff, so I stopped. Over the next few years I tried to write them into a story again, but I couldn't get a good plot ironed out. So I just kept it in my head.
Earlier this year I figured the cat thing wasn't working out. I thought maybe if I kept them as hunters in the woods, but put them in a total fantasy world and made them into catlike people it might work better. I mentioned this to my sister, and she thought it sounded cooler. So I decided to go with it. They still live in the forest, as hunters, but now they're people with some cat features. Around this time I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons with my boyfriend and his friends. There was Harry Potter DnD, Elder Scrolls DnD, Star Wars DnD, and one girl decided to do a DnD set in her original universe with vampires and werewolves. That gave me the idea to adopt my universe to a DnD. I figured I would need more than one race, so I added dog and rabbit people in addition to the cat people.
I mentioned to my boyfriend that I was wondering if I should include humans in the universe, and he suggested having humans as invaders. My first thought was "No that'd be fucking Avatar," but then I figured that if I didn't have human white dude who saves everyone, then it probably wouldn't be fucking Avatar. Then I thought wouldn't it be funny if I had a wannabe version of that guy? Who thinks he's saving things but just fucks up and gives everyone secondhand embarrassment? Since our DnD worlds are usually full of crack, I thought a guy like that would fit right in. So I added some other tropes to parody Avatar and stories like it, but then I realized that this story probably won't end happily after the silly DnD ends cause it's these problems will still exist, and all of a sudden my Dragonball Warriors ripoff cats have turned into this whole imperialism story that I'm not sure if I'm talented enough to write and whether that matters at all because it might just be something I should stay away from anyway help
